Absolutely Lovely Customer Service from Molly & Jem. Both smiling and very friendly even though they close in 10 minutes. They made my made so I thought I'd return the favour and Energy. Keep up the Good Work ladies 💯🏆💚

I visit cafe Nero often and am usually greeted by the kindest staff members, specifically a brunette girl with glasses. However, there is one male who works there who is very unwelcoming and in fact very rude. I actually avoid coming in if I see that he is working.

The waiter made a mistake in making my coffee, he was rude in his reply when I told him to wait because he had made a mistake in putting the milk in. I am lactose intolerant so I asked for coffee with oatmeal. He was very unpleasant and made bad faces when we talked. There was no one in charge to stop him. People like this should not be in the public eye.

Excellent coffee shop I had the large black cappucino and partner strawberry milk shake. We had egg and the tuna sandwiches. Delicious Staff very friendly and drinks and sandwiches far better than costa. Highly reccomend.

Visited today with my mum. Absolutely disgusted at the state of the toilets. On entry you are hit with the stench of urine. Everything looked filthy particularly the floor especially behind the entrance door. There were broken remains of a dispenser on the wall and an. overflowing lidless bin. Complained to assistant who apologised and said toilets were deep cleaned once a week!!! These toilets have never seen a deep clean since they were originally fitted never mind once a week! I can't believe how an establishment that serves food could find these conditions acceptable. Put me off eating and drinking there again

We stopped here on a visit to Liverpool ONE for hot chocolates as it was freezing. Nice staff and nice drinks :)

I write this review with a heavy heart, whilst I write it I want to make it clear I have NEVER written a negative review in my place. I don't go in for that and it is not my 'style'. However given the unfournate circumstance I found myself in for nothing but good advice I felt I should write this but for nothing in order to help the store. When I came to this place I ordered a cake and coffee on getting to the till I discover that there is a notice saying pay by card as kindly pointed out by staff. Unfournately I didn't have much cash on me and went to my friend . I later discovered that I had some money in my wallet. The Barista behind the till offered to pay for the cake and coffee for me which was kind. Initially I went to my friend to work out what to do then discovered I had money in my wallet. I came back and discovered I had money in my wallet. The barista behind kindly offered to pay the rest. I am grateful for this and felt the situation was dealt with in an appropriate and proffessional manner. The fact there wasn't a till may have been due to convid and therefore WASNT the staff's fault. However the board telling me that it was card only was close to the till. In my view There should be at two notices informing people that they have to pay by card to give them fair warning before going in the store. It should be the FIRST thing people see on getting to the shop. The fact it is by the till misleads people and may not be noticed as it wasnt by me. I again want to reiterate my thanks to the staff like many things in life it was 6 of 1 half a dosen of other and I accept partial responsibility. However to avoid further problems for the staff I urge them once again to put a note by the door as it saves potential wasted stock and also problems with payment as even in this day &age with Convid some people only carry cash. I hope this review is a fair reflection & is as constructive as possible. I hope this doesn't create bad feeling & hope to visit again soon.

Excellent coffee shop. Comfortable seating inside and out. Very friendly staff. We decided to have a vanilla and a strawberry milkshake with scone and butter. Scone was very fresh and milkshakes delicious as always. Highly recommended

Got served an out of date muffin which unsurprisingly was very stale. Servers/baristas were very rude and bothered when I presented them with a gift card which they had no clue as to how to use it despite having no problems in other stores. Made me feel as though I was very unwelcome. Had to ask behind the counter for cutlery which seemed to be a big “ask” considering the served faces. Would not return again.

I visited this branch of Caffé Nero with a friend the other day whilst we were visiting Liverpool. I have visited this place numerous times before and it's always been OK. However, I would also argue that the experience here is not perfect and there's a thing or do the staff could do to improve this place. But first, for the positives. This café is located in a very nice part of the city centre. It is surrounded by a number of very posh shops, which does make for a very nice ambiance. Compared to other coffee shops, this place does look quite a bit more plush and upscale, which is very pleasing to the eye! The staff in my experience have always been friendly and efficient. I don't recall every having to wait an unreasonably long time in a queue here, even at the busiest times of the day. The café itself is also kept very clean and tidy, which is always good to see. However, now for the gripes. Firstly, the milk I was served with my cup of tea was rather peculiar. When I went over to my table, upon inspecting the little jug of milk, it actually looked foamy and strange, like some sort of strange concoction you'd get on a sci-fi television programme! When I poured it into my cup, the tea started to look weird and the end product looked like dishwater. However, upon taking a few sips of the drink, the taste was perfectly satisfactory, so panic averted! The taste of the tea was quite aromatic, which I quite like. Another issue I had with this place was the toileting facilities. In order to access the toilets, you need to type in the code displayed by the entrance to the toilet area. I usually hate these because they never work. In the past, the code has rarely worked for me for whatever reason, meaning this just adds an unnecessary layer of complexity to the situation. This place can also get quite busy at peak times. It was alright when I visited the other day, however there is sometimes a dearth of seating and with social distancing measures expected to be in place until the 21st June at the earliest, please bear this in mind. However, it should be borne in mind that the staff are legally required to socially distance the tables, so this isn't a criticism per se. My final issue with this place is the pricing, although I fully appreciate that this is not the fault of the staff, nor is the pricing issue unique to this franchise. The snacks at Caffé Nero are usually grossly overpriced and they hit your credit card hard, so please be aware of this. Having said that, the cost of hot drinks is in line with other establishments, such as Costa Coffee and Starbucks. Overall, not a bad experience here. There are a few things I would change about this place, but all in all they're relatively minor gripes. I think the staff should really inspect the milk before it goes out the customer, as to me it looked more like a frothy coffee than milk. But all's well that ends well.

My twin brother Stephen and I were heading to The Captain Alexander Pub and as the rain started to hammer it down we took shelter in this Caffe Nero in the Liverpool One shopping centre. Your standard Caffe Nero, quite cosy,nice decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling shopping area. We were here on a Saturday afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff and after giving our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitising our hands we were allocated a table, we ordered a bottle of cola each and just chilled out in this popular Caffe Nero while waiting for the rain to subside. This is a covid 19 safe environment, staff are on the ball and keep social distancing rules in check. We really enjoyed our cola's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time . This Caffe Nero is easy to locate along Peter's Lane in the Liverpool One shopping centre. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, Open from 8am. Due to the governments 3rd lockdown all pubs, bars,cafe's and restaurants throughout the UK are closed till at least the middle of February

It's dated and tatty, ripped seats dirty window sills. We ordered coffees, Bakewell tarts and sandwiches and sat inside as far from the door as possible as there are hoarders of Asian males that congregate here, especially outside and they chain smoke, me and my friends felt intimidated by so many of them. We are locals so primarily use to meet at another cafe close by but they are closed due to Vivid 19, so we came here. Big mistake! All these Asian males, I mean lots of them and we have noted them congregating here on other days too, really intimidating but so is the cigarette smoke that wafts inside the cafe from them outside. The doors are left open as it's stuffy inside. But they want to reduce the seating outside and do something about the cigarette smoke billowing in. I don't want to smell like an ashtray, if they do.

Nice and clean inside and it was a fast and efficient service. Latte's were very nice and even better they were free as I had 2 full tickets on my App. Will certainly use again when in the area.

One of the best lattes I’ve had in a long time! Staff was kind. WiFi is easy and strong. I will agree with some past reviews that the bathrooms need to be demolished. It didn’t appear dirty but the smell was putrid. And yes, it was noticeable that people just leave their trash on tables and the staff is extremely busy so they can only pass through to clean up after grown adults every once in a while. I still highly recommend this cafe.

Filthy place, toilets an absolute health hazard. It really needs to be reported. Preparation area also dirty, don’t dare to think what must be going behind the bar. Disgusting is the only word to describe it.

I visited this week to kill a little time with my wife before our flight. I got a hot chocolate, the milk wasn't particularly hot but had a super sour taste to it which tells me the milk was spoiled not burnt. I waited for my drinks longer than I would have liked mostly because the two baristas were discussing how pissed off they were about whoever was doing the Rota. The whole back bar where the coffee machine was was super messy and dirty. Not a pleasant experience.

Worst cup of coffee I've had in a long while and it wasn't cheap: I don't mind paying for a nice cup but this left a sour taste in my mouth literally and metaphorically. I've read that since Caffe Nero was obliged to pay its staff a living wage they've taken away the free lunches I guess in order to maintain their profits

Entré con mi amiga y me sirvieron, tuvimos 30 minutos de nuestro almuerzo y el personal que la sirvió le dio su bebida y charlamos entre ellos y yo solo estuve allí sin otro cliente durante unos 10 minutos y finalmente dije ¿no me sirven? Ni siquiera se molestaron en pedirme mi pedidoTan horrible y simplemente asumí que no estaba ordenando y desperdicié mi hora de almuerzoLuego conseguí la pizza y una ensalada con tomates¡La ensalada estaba podrida como si la hubieran dejado allí durante días, el tomate goteaba, el pepino se había vuelto marrón y el rábano estaba amarillo! ? ? ?Así que no, solo yo miré la mitad de mi almuerzo siendo ignorado. El personal extremadamente grosero y crítico me sirvió una comida podrida y excesivamente grosera. WBO preferiría hablar con ellos mismos que hacer su trabajo.

Visité el viernes pasado por la tarde, concedió que el café estaba muy ocupado pero estaba sucio. Los baños estaban sucios, al igual que los pisos y las mesas. La alfombra en la entrada había visto días mejores y parecía que no había sido limpiada por años y había basura por todas partes. En el lado positivo, el personal era amable y eficiente, pero el lugar necesita una limpieza profunda.

Visité una tarde en la tarde, haga una parada en la ciudad para hacer compras y hacer turismo. Posición ideal con asientos dentro y fuera. Fuimos al lugar en Ropewalks en dos ocasiones para comer algo rápido y tomar un expreso. Había un montón de italianos en el lugar en ambas ocasiones, lo que es una señal de calidad para cualquier cafetería. El espresso era muy, muy bonito. Música de jazz en los altavoces y un ambiente acogedor y relajado. Realmente disfruté el lugar.

Nice setting, however I had to ask 3 times for clean cutlery as it was FILTHY! Food stuck to spoons and everything. This might be a reflection on some the employees attitudes. Whom often are miserable which make you feel put off from asking them for anything/ordering anything else.

I often call into Caffe Nero as I like their coffee, but this was the first time I had visited this shop. Very busy just before midday, but I was impressed by the conversation the Barista/Server kept up with the customer before me, who was obviously a regular. He did not let this detract from his efficiency.

Me and my friend attended this branch of cafe nero for a cold drink in the summer 2017. My friend was served by the rude waitress I was being attended to by a nice, mannerly ĺady . We ordered frozen drinks but but the rude mannered waitress took over from making the actual drinks. When me and my friend sat down to have our drinks the drinks were lukewarm not frozen as advertised. I will never attend this branch of cafe ner again. The waitress in question is easy to spot as she is obese with purple hair

Nice to get a window seat and watch the folk passing by - a very busy part of Liverpool One. Typical Nero typical good coffee and simple bites. Staff hard working and pleasant but little time for chit chat - too busy!! They are very efficient.

After heading out sightseeing early i wanted to just sit and watch the hustle and bustle go by. Delicious food and drinks on offer and super friendly staff with a clean cafe and bathrooms as well.

Abbiamo avuto occasione di entrare in piu' locali di questa catena in citta' differenti del UK, questa recensione rigiarda uno dei locali di Liverpool nella zona dei Docks, ma essendo una catena sono tutti standard. Abbiamo trovato ottimo sia il capuccino (small) che il Cortado che e' una sorta di capuccino servito in bicchiere che ha dimensioni piu' umane rispetto allo small che di per se e' piu' che sufficiente. Buoni i muffin. Buona sosta!!!

Went in today around 1.40pm as friend and myself fancied a nice cold drink. Served by lady with dark brown and purple hair. First I asked for a Raspberry and Belgian White Chocolate Frappe Cream to be told unable to have due no Raspberry so then looked at cold drink menu and ordered an Espresso and Caramel Frappe cream (my friend also ordered one which was made by same person).When drinking Espresso and Caramel Frappe Cream it was room temperature although served with straw in milkshake plastic container. As I ordered it without thinking I although disappointed I thought maybe it actually wasn't off cold drink menu. However when leaving on window going towards Church street was an advert stating it was an Iced Espresso and Caramel Frappe Cream. Mine did have any ice or even been in near vicinity of ice as it was a tepid temperature. Very disappointed and at £3.85 for this drink could've got far better for cheaper elsewhere. If they had ran out of ice as well as Raspberry sauce the lady should have mentioned this as we wanted a cold drink. Also I was not offered a receipt on purchase when I recall guy in front had. Won't be going this place again.

We were intending to write a review complaining about this particular Café Nero and read James B s review which said everything we were going to say ! We used to drink at this Nero quite regularly but stopped going for exactly the same reasons as James B. You can never get a seat for groups of young men gathering together - pulling all seats together and sometimes even reserving seats for their friends. As James says, we had also noticed that they sit for hours ( Yes - Hours!!! ) with empty cups in front of them We have noticed that maybe one will buy a coffee occasionally in a proper cup , but the majority just have cups of the free water ! I have even had one regular older man ( we`ve seen him a lot and he usually sits on his own ) walk up to the counter and the staff automatically give him his drink IN A TAKE AWAY CUP ! As I say, we stopped going but went in again a few days ago. We actually got a comfy seat but , while my wife was being served, a group started to gather at the table behind us and I actually had to stop one young man taking her chair ! He did not even ask if it was taken but just assumed he could have it. There were so many of them crowded around us it was very uncomfortable. These ` gatherings` are very intimidating and, as James B also says, you are paying for drinking inside while the staff think nothing of letting these people use takeaway cups ! The whole atmosphere is very uncomfortable and we will not be having our coffee in this Nero again.

I attended the cafe Nero today as I usually do. I'm finally sick to the back teeth with some of the customers who abuse the place, with the collusion of the staff there. I have found the place absolutely chocker on many occasions, with the good sofas inside occupied by people just sat around talking. Not even a beverage or food in sight. These are normally gangs of lads chatting away away for hours. The other thing they do is have one buy a drink and the rest sit with him occupying seats for hours. The other one that I have seen is people buying drinks in paper cups, therefore saving on the takeout policy, then sitting indoors to consume the drinks. Whilst mugs like me follow the correct policy and pay more. Why don't the staff challenge these people. Is it fear of them because in most cases I have seen, the people in question speak in a foreign language? I have no problem with the language, just that I feel cheated if I'm following he rules and other people aren't and getting away with it. Please do something about it or charge us all the same.

Caffè Nero si innalza ormai sopra la media dei suoi concorrenti: il caffè espresso è molto vicino a quello italiano, la cioccolata calda "Milano" è eccezionale e i dolci sono sempre strepitosi. I prezzi sono alti se comparati a quelli dei bar italiani, ma è un elemento che accomuna tutte le caffetterie del Regno Unito.

This is a reasonable Caffe Nero. The coffee's we had were both well made and the service was good.We had a cappuccino and one of the Christmas specials with Salted Caramel.The only slight minus was the café was a little dirty and maybe needed more staff to cope.

Visited Nero Caffe on a busy morning. Service wss efficient, chai latte very taste and tried some delicious cakes as well. The Capuccino cake was particularly good. Will definitely be back!

Of the big coffee chains I definitely prefer Nero's. I find the staff to be more upbeat and passionate about what they're doing then the others, where often you get the impression that they really don't want to be there. This outlet of Neros was very busy all day (I went three days running at different times), but there was always a seat to be found and as it is pretty big. Good location too, right opposite Waterstones.

Decent service, decent tea, decent value in nice surroundings. Pefect way to rest after schlepping round the city centre.

We recently moved to the UK from Canada and have been searching for the perfect coffee shop. We've tried Costa and a host of others but refuse to drink Starbucks as we can get that at home. The moment we tried Caffe Nero our problems were solved. This is simply the best Americano you will find. The beans are perfectly roasted to our taste and well worth the extra 20 - 40 p you pay over other coffee chains.

I love Caffe Nero Coffee Shops. I visit this group many times a week. This Caffe Nero is situated in a good spot in St Peters Arcade with an outside eating area where usually there is a local artist performing, so a good place to enjoy your coffee whilst listening to some very good musicians.

Always enjoy a stop and restock whilst shopping in town. Now in need of a refurbishment as looking tired, but coffee is still quality. Love the reward scheme, especially when my hubby gives me his full cards! Like to sit outside on a nice day, people watching and when lucky, listening to people playing the piano. Would benefit from outdoor smoking/non smoking areas. Staff excellent at their jobs and friendly even when rushed of their feet.

Love the food at caffe nero, the cakes and frappes are to die for!! However, the staff weren't very friendly and were a bit rude when we were trying to figure out which staff member was serving, plus there was no toilet roll in the women's toilets.

I have been going for coffee to this branch now every week for several years. It is a nice little haunt, great for people watching out the window as the world goes by.The black coffee is superb, perfect taste no complaints. Cafe Nero coffee is always at the top of the UK coffee charts in my opinion, others chains just try to follow.This particular branch of Cafe Nero lets itself down in one area mainly, the seating arrangements.There are ample seats, but the majority of the time, I have seen several regular groups of people seated around tables or on the sofa's, without any drinks, just talking. After observing these numerous groups of people for some period of time now, I have seen that these groups of people never buy anything, no food, no drinks, nothing. Or one of the group will buy 1 drink, as the other 3 or 4 sit around chatting. They then sit there for long periods of time. I have made close observations over several years and will state that the majority of the persons I see taking up seats, not buying any drinks, or buying 1 drink between a group of 3 or 4 are non English speaking males. They are not students either before anyone starts picking on those.These groups that target this Cafe Nero everyday are non English speaking 'males' only. I have pointed this out to Cafe Nero staff on numerous occasions that a lot of dedicated customers cannot get seats, because these groups usually more prominent between 2pm - 6pm literally walk in, sit down and hog the place.I visit scores of Cafe Nero's including a renowned one in London, where they have a security guard in place to prevent this.The policy should be, that non customers (EG: Those that have purchased nothing and have no intentions of purchasing nothing) should not be allowed to occupy seating inside the venue, or outside the venue and have no access to the toilet facilities.The giveaway is in the wording 'non customers', as these people are not customers, they are nuisances that treat this branch of Cafe Nero like a meeting place to hang out for free.Customers pay for the privilege of sitting down and enjoying their coffee and the atmosphere. These particular groups of males that do this day in, day out, do not pay!Other than the above concern, this Cafe Nero is nice, nice staff, and clean.

As a rule I prefer to visit one of the many independent coffee shops in Liverpool but I was pushed for time today. I'm no fan of chains but Caffe Nero is tolerable, much more so than Costa or Starbucks.Today I found the staff to be friendly and the atmosphere was just right. They do a great Americano.

I forbindelse med vårt 3 dagers opphold rakk vi opptil flere stopp her.Den lå veldig sentralt plassert, og det var veldig hyggelig sted å besøke. Vi spiste både kake, toast og drakk frappe, te og kaffe.Alt smakte veldig godt og hadde overkommelige priser.

Best coffee in town out of the chains. Cosmopolitan atmosphere. Staff usually very helpful and quick but premises now looking very shabby indeed.

Popped in on Sunday morning for coffee and a toasted sandwich, was early so no queue (bonus).Staff had the time to be friendly, great coffee as usual, toasty arrived quick and was fine as expected. just sat outside and watched the world wake up. If your in Liverpool 1 look it up and give your feet 20 mins off.

One thing that annoys me with these new fancy caffee shop is there small shop size not enough seets. Long que's of people, only two people serving with on till, which makes whating for a drink nearly 15min, and that goes for star bucks too, and they are over priced. In the time you waite for a drink and waite for a seet if you get one that is, you may's well go home make your own favourite coffee drink and put your feet up and relaxe instead. The staff don't have time to be friendly, there working fast to serve the long que of people. I don't think much of these modern coffee shops.
