Not what I expected. Far better than I first thought. Not really one for chain coffee shops but I have recently discovered Cafe Nero thanks to Tastecard. Decent drinks choice. Comfy seating. Great staff. All adding to a relaxing hour after a long walk around tow. We will be back!

Cold misty day so what's needed is a couple of cappuccinos and some pastries in a comfortable chair. Lemon cake and apricot pastry.

Very disappointed with the size of lemon meringue cake. Looked like it was cut in half - so small , £3.50 ? Really? Much smaller than anywhere else

This is the best Caffè Nero I have ever been too…. Super clean and excellent service with a smile. Lots of staff. Despite the tired decor the place was very clean and tidy…. Well done team Felixstowe

Warm apricot pastry and banana and walnut cake and a good hot cappucino topped with chocolate coffee nothing better as a starter for the day.

very nice staff , nothing is to much trouble they all greet you warmly asking how you are and wish you a nice day as you leave, toilets could perhaps be a little cleaner.

I love Nero's coffee and it is my go to whenever I can find it. In Felixstowe they have amazing staff and it made the whole place even better. The man whom I think was the manager was so friendly and helpful to all and nothing seemed to much trouble for him or the other man who was serving. A very welcoming place to drink and eat.

After a walk onlong the promenade and up into the town we stopped off here for some refreshment and enjoyed a hot drink and snacks. Located in the main street there is choice of comfy chairs or at tables if preferred. The pancetta sausage rolls are a real winner and I am informed the apricot pastry was also delicious. Friendly staff and efficient service with great coffee.

Back again for those pastries (apricot) and a couple of toasted sandwiches washed down with a cappuccino. Well behaved pets are allowed in and that's a bonus because who wants to sit outside when it's raining and cold.

Since the staff change round and new manager with a proper attitude to his customers we visit every week. Also for us we can take our pup into the café that's a bonus but the real treat are the apricot pastries.

I use a variety of coffee shops in Felixstowe and Nero's is the best for consistently good quality strong coffee. It is dearer than most independent outlets but the cost is lessened if you use the loyalty card system. The food is ridiculously expensive and we rarely eat there.

After a long break from visiting this coffee shop due to tiredness of the staff who would not bake more pastries in the morning when they ran out, we gave it another look as we were told of a change of staff. New staff and what a difference, they were welcoming even to our little Cavapoo pup who was allowed in. Pastries well the staff and the new manager informed us if they run out before 14.00 they will bake some more but there is a 20 minute baking time, so if you want it just drink more coffee and relax. Try the apricot pastry oh yum.

Met a friend for coffee and cake. We both chose the carrot cake which was very tasty but a little dry and tired. Taste was delicious though. Had a fruit tea and friend had coffee. Service a little slow today but staff friendly.

Oh no sold out of apricot pastries with no more to be baked. This must be the only Nero that doesn't restock their pastries.

whilst shopping in Felixstowe we found our legs were aching so we decided to get a coffee which we enjoyed very much. The staff are always friendly and the service and coffee was very good. They usually have a reasonable display of cakes and sandwiches on display which we like so when in our home town of Reading, Berks, we usually pay Neros a visit

Luke warm coffee, replaced after being reprimanded for drinking 'most' of it. It was only warm to start with, expect coffee to stay hot to the end. Staff are very noisy, especially in the cubicle where they sort the used crockery/cutlery. Staff seem to throw everything making a very loud din, if you happen to be seated nearby. Not a very relaxing experience. Generally very tatty & grubby, toilet needs a deep clean, very unhygienic & dilapidated. Used to be better, just very tired now. Loyalty card stamped reluctantly.

The only way to get a apricot pastry is to get there when they open or they will sell out as they seem to only bake about 4 of them. Despite complaining to the staff and asking why don't you bake more if you sell out no one is interested so we don't buy coffee unless the pastries are there.

Nice and central, nice teas and coffees, can get very busy so sometimes a bit of a wait. Nice seating area at the front to sit and watch the world go by.

We popped into this establishment for a coffee break. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Whilst we were enjoying our drinks it was interesting to hear staff remembering regular customers and knowing their preferred drinks. Thats personal service with bells on.

Como con todo el Nero's, el café es de un estándar muy alto. La comida es muy variada y aparentemente abundante. Los camareros son amables y corteses. El almuerzo fue notablemente marcado lleno a desbordamientos. Difícil de superar en la localidad.

A lovely cafe Nero. A relaxed atmosphere, even though the bar is in the centre. Prefer the coffee in other places but nicer to sit in here. Also seats available outside in the shared space street

When visiting Felixstowe, always try to grab a half hour in this lovely haven. Coffee is good. It isn't usually overcrowded and nice choice of cakes or biscuits.

This is the best place for a coffee simply because it welcomed my 91 year old mother in law in her motorised buggy and the dog inside. They bought our order to the table, nothing was too much. I was touched by their kindness.

we came here just for a coffee and a muffin while we where shopping in felixstowe disappointed compare to other competitor good thing the white chocolate and raspberry muffin lovely toilet were good when i have been here before easy wheelchair access service was okey but i found my coffee even with one shot coffee in was bitter strong and the price was fairly expensive although they do a loyalty stamp card when you collect i think 9 stamps and then you get a free coffee there is outside sitting and the decois okey but bit of a dark feel i think you need to be a nero fan to keep coming here i prefer the competitor but can tolerate it here on occasion

Felixstowe needs a quality coffee outlet. Neros are lucky as there isn't one, so they get lots of custom and can get away with a poor quality product. The coffee itself, though overpriced, is fine

Food and service ok, but far too expensive. One thin slice of cheese and ham on a cheddar and ham ploughman's meal ? Salad out of a bag ?. Joke at their prices.

Stayed here for the Easter Break from good Friday till the Monday. Such a lovely feel to this hotel. The food on Saturday evening was to die for we had our friends join us and all had Beef Wellington and all agreed the best one we have ever had ! Second time staying at this hotel and would definitely go back as staff and management are lovely.

Ver disappointed. Two young girls on duty who were indifferent to our questions. We sat down and neither came to ask if we needed drinks before ordering. There was only one other family in the restaurant. Left without ordering. Have been before with better results but not happy with the lack of service.

We took advantage of an unexpectedly sunny Sunday to take a friend in a wheelchair for a stroll on the prom and brunch at the Alex — where we knew there was an accessible loo, should it be needed. Our order included a vegan breakfast, muffin and poached eggs and smoked haddock fishcakes, plus cake. All were good, fresh and well-cooked. Hats off to the chef who perfectly poached those eggs. The staff were friendly and professional and went out of their way to help us with wheelchair manoeuvring. The place feels well-run.

Called in for a meal here on a week night. We were told to book, but really didn't need to as there were only 6 other people in at the time we were there. The food was excellent, as was the service, but the room we ate in was very tired and in need of refurbishment. That said, we would return for the good food.
