Caffè Nero in Preston

I’m afraid to say that the store and standard of staff need to be updated. The male member of staff cleaned my table and smelled so bad I was actually put off my coffee. The store itself is extremely dirty and the furniture needs to be replaced or at least cleaned. Very uncomfortable visit. High priced drinks and very low standards

Hardly ever go Caffé Nero as there isn't one in Blackburn hot chocolate was probably one of the best and staff were lovely

Just called for a drink and a scone the drink was good the scone was very dry.

Sadly my first reunion with Caffe Nero since years ago Edinburgh Waverley branch it's lost its way. Visiting my son and fiance but staying in adjacent No10 digs Sunday morning breakfast I'd give Costa a go. Big mistake. Pleasant enough staff member only handful customers so atmosphere bland. Well replenished food display very attractive so boldly chose I thought lovely simple scrambled egg X bacon bun accompanied by large mug tea. Ouch...the bun when toasted becomes panini...the contents were simply yucky..a cold gunch of goo of egg with horrible dressings and cold thin paetta Italian ham ...bun over toasted ...no cutlery, no napkin, no napkins in wardrobe display nor no cutlery. Tea Luke warm ..🥵 Sorry Caffe Nero...nearly £9...never ever again. RIP! You need a new chef X keep breakfast items simple.... numerous additions hidden in items a no no.

Always good coffee at Nero but this particular branch looks quite tired and needs a refresh.

My family and I are regulars at Friargate Nero caffè - is our favourite, we are often going with the kids to enjoy the quality coffee, tiramisù, hot chocolate, brownie, the great music selection and the amazing customer service, but on Friday 27th Oct 23 around 2.30pm being close to Fishergate we tried this one. We would have liked the sandwich with mushrooms and mascarpone but it was already finished - we rarely find it available in any other Nero caffè and it's a shame because it's one of our favorite sandwiches; same story with apricot pastries. Finally, we just ordered 2 oat cappuccino take away. There were 3 girls around the bar and they wouldn’t stop talking to each other, very little attention was paid to us and we weren't asked if we wanted chocolate on top. The disappointment was huge to note that in the cups there was only coffee mixed with very hot boiled milk without foam at all…the worst cappuccino I ever had…we just couldn’t take it.

Store could do with being refurbished

Love finishing work and sitting out watching the world pass by with large cappuccino.

Always a lovely coffee every time I visit. A relaxed ambience, ad nice to see regular customers when I visit at a similar time of the week. The staff are always polite and friendly too.

Dirty floor..dirty table and table legs..dirty under windows..wont return

I don't go here, far to expensive

I went in for a coffee. I was served within a minute of arriving. Helpful staff gave me options regarding which coffee to have. Sat outside in the sunshine and watched the world go buy.

Great coffee and sandwiches. has good outdoor seating which is great during the summer. the staff are friendly and the service is quick. a nice place to stop and refresh during a day out shopping 😁

Excellent coffee as always. Mid morning visit table could have used a wipe down.

Been here many times and it's just declined. The amount of flies inside is horrid. Unclean cutlery was replaced with more dirty cutlery, I no longer felt like eating my food, what the drinks were served in didn't appear particularly clean either. It's just not a nice cafe to visit anymore, which is a shame because I like the products. I won't be going here again.

Smart roomy branch with freindly staff.

Narrow stuff are amazing, always friendly, always helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble. Drinks freshly prepared. Always tasting amazing and are very reasonably priced.

Excellent service from friendly and helpful staff. Clean tables and counters. Better value for money than some other high street coffee shops and very comfortable seating. Clean W.C. and easy access. Contactless payment is available. All in all ☆☆☆☆☆

We had a flying visit to Preston. Fancied a coffee and cake, which was delicious.

The barrista in the morning here is lovely, friendly professional service kicks your day off. The pain aux raisin are the best. The new Brazil blend is also worth a try. Less bitter than the standard. I would also recommend the almond croissant.

It was OK, coffee nice, staff polite.

I went alone, and it was such a chill place to enjoy a cuppa coffee and read a book or do work. They have additional seats upstairs. The Mocha was very nice.

Treat ourselves once a week to a coffee here and we are never disappointed. Staff friendly and coffee always spot on. Not the cheapest of places but nice for a Treat.

Tracy is the good manager and hard working. She is one of the good coffee makers. I always love her coffee.

Always friendly and helpful service when I go. Don't forget there is an upstairs with more seating.

Could do with a cleaner you can tell its run by students cleanliness is certainly missing I'd go with a take out cup like I did

I've visited this Caffè Nero on Fishergate a few times. Being mobility restricted I've only ever been downstairs where there is seating indoors and on the shop front, but I assume there is a lot more upstairs, so even on a busy weekend you should find a space. The baristas are always friendly, polite and willing to help. They've always offered to carry my drink when I'm on my crutches, which is nice even if I don't need help. The coffees/frappes are quite different compared to the well known chain across the road. I find the coffee (particularly the Brazilian blend) is strong, but it's a nice robust, smooth flavour that is well complimented with the syrups and milks you can add to it. Unfortunately my body can't take more than one small drink otherwise I'd sit there for ages sampling the delicious drinks, food and snacks! I sampled the Xmas coffees this time and opted for the black forest mocha. It was an interesting flavour, the berries were quite sharp, it complimented the chocolate, but to me didn't blend as well as it would in a frappe. Next time I'm going to try the Cinnamon latte! I did a "Too good to go" bag which was very good. I received a sandwich, a roasted sweet potato pastry, 2 x morning pastries and a lemon muffin. All were delicious and if I'm lucky enough to snag one again (they go fast) I will, it was perfect for our lunch the following day. Always worth a visit if you are on your way to the train station.

Good Caffè, from the chain coffee shops, Nero is probably my favourite.

Coffee is so so ,😑 food same as all other coffee shops , outrageously priced 😂 . Toilets 😯☹️ what is it with Joe public when they use a toilet ,have they not been toilet trained 😂🤣 .Pity the cleaner's 🙄

Poor experience today. Walked in and stood at counter for about four minutes. No one else in the queue. Three members of staff behind the counter ambling along, tidying, chatting. No eye contact. No one acknowledged I was there. No one said they would be with me in a minute or similar. Walked out and went to Starbucks. Shame as I love Cafe Nero coffee.

Great service, really fast despite being lunchtime

The coffee and cake is nice like any other Nero store. However when i went to this particular Nero store today I was not impressed by the state of it in parts. E.G there was no toilet roll in the mens toilet, there were several tables unclean and tables that hadn't been cleared with trays of dirty cups and plates on them, there were no napkins available and there was no jug of water upstairs and downstairs there was a water jug but no glasses.

Good vibe as always. Excellent coffee grain. Not strong but tasty. Chai Café was my choice on this occasion, and I was impressed. 4 star rating due to cleanliness overall as it was a little busy and only 2 staff were serving and tables were left unclean. The service was fast and prompt too.

An excellent cafe with a relaxed ambience and a good range of hot and cold drinks. In addition it stocks a good range of cakes and pastries. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent service from the two young ladies working here this afternoon. (Monday 15th August about 2-3pm). Chocolate Milano (or Luxury Hot Chocolate as it's now known) is delicious. I was also very happy with the Brie and Bacon Panini. The Lemon cake slice was lovely.

Caffè Nero enjoyed a toasty and a coffee with my wife in Preston. Made a change from our usual at Costa.

Got takeaway coffee and had pretty quick service although all the add on sales can be a bit tedious.

The large coffees (latte and cap) have a good strength to them that I prefer over other brands. However, the apricot croissant is to die for! Delicious 😀☕🥐

Drink nice. Shop was dirty as. Had a lovely finger nail on my table and was more of a dumping ground in the back seating area.

Excellent flat white! I avoided the chain for years, but was massively surprised by the experience today. Their coffee game is on point! Highly recommend to try the flat white.

I always choose Café Nero over all the others. Use my Nero reusable cup, nice reduction, coffee is great, Panini great and the cakes are delicious. Not cheap, but thankfully so; great staff and quality. Update; still great.

Nice friendly staff who recommended I tried a different blend of coffee. They could have done with some extra staff to help clean and attend to customers.

Had a long wait but coffee was good Place in need of a revamp

Bought my usual from Cafe Nero and would have preferred the soy milk to be added to the coffee before getting it, rather being given a small pourer. However, great customer service and high l vels of cleanliness.

Cafe Nero is one of my favourite coffee shops, consistent anywhere you go, I can recommend the lemon cheesecake!
