Never had a bad meal. My fav place to order from for sure!

Only ordered from them once, but food was great, served quickly and a decent portion too. They only accept cash so make sure you have some on you before ordering

First time ordering and will definitely be back, food ready quickly and piping hot, very good quality and good portion sizes.

Have been coming here for over 20-+years. We won’t be coming again. The last time we came we said it may be a bit busy and would give it another go another time. This evening we have ordered our usual and are beyond disappointed.. Not sure whether the place is under new management or what but would not recommend, and won’t be retuning. Shame as it has always been a family go to.

Seems to have gone down in quality since increasing their prices. Chips were hard, sweet and sour sauce appeared to be missing the sweet part, and the chicken balls were about half the size they used to be! To their credit, the staff have always been friendly and polite and the service has always been quick, but that’s not enough to make me want to go back.

Large portion very tasty only negative curry sauce ordered as a side dish was a little watery

Over from Spain for a quick visit. Hadn't had a Chinese takeaway before. Won't be having another, especially from here. Sweet and sour ribs went in the bin. Atrocious, gristle and bone. Sauce was nuclear in colour and the artificial sweetening was cloying. 3 mini spring rolls, were certainly mini. Little finger sized and dropped in a paper bag.

Ordered the chinese chicken and curry with veg spring rolls and egg fried rice. Order was to collect and it was all ready about 20-30mins later. The spring roll was the biggest I've ever seen and the chicken curry was delish. I know where we will be getting our chinese fix from now on :)

Left overs from last night served in the munchie box. Stale chips chicken soggy old spring rolls under cooked rice. Do not recommend only okay thing was the curry sauce

Popped in after work as I used to go here occasionally, dissapointed the noodles were slimy and meat was a bit watery tasted like it had been defrosted or cooked twice . Will not be returning again .

Always consistently excellent food here My fave is chicken & king prawn satay with soft noodles but it’s always piping hot always made fast and always consistently the same

It was ready quickly, but thats not a good thing when the food isn't up to scratch. The chicken chow mein had slimy chicken and no flavour, the salt and pepper chips had no vegetables and lacked flavour. the prawn toast was nice as was the curry sauce. I won't be returning though and I wouldn't recommend the place

Service was very good, especially the blonde girl behind the till who was very friendly and helped me choose an amazing meal

Very good food and value, not been here before but from the moment we walked in we could tell it was a very busy kitchen, with lots of people waiting - picking up orders and phoning new orders - always a good sign. Very impressed with the quality and value of the food.

Awful experience. Found a bone in my prawn toast. Asked for a refund and refused a refund unless I drove back to the shop to deliver the prawn toast. My question is why is there a bone in the prawn toast? Awful experience.

Fantastic little takeaway, never disappoints!

Delicious, fresh flavours, not greasy and no texture or taste of additives. Their sesame prawn toast cannot be bettered. It used to be my local then after moving I tried 5 or 6 other take aways out of convenience but none measured up. Unfortunately New Dragon Inn don’t do delivery (which is why I took a star off the service rating) but the quality of the food makes a short trip worth it. I phone my order through and it’s always ready when I arrive to collect and the staff are very nice. I think the prices are excellent value, especially compared to some others I’ve seen.

One of the few reliable Chinese takeaways in Preston. Tasty food, good menu and food prepared for the time you request. Very good value for money too.

Really enjoyed our meal. The online ordering process was easy and efficient and the food was ready just as I arrived to collect it. Portions were generous and quality great - we really liked the fiery ginger in the chicken with ginger & spring onion. It was a bit odd being asked for a tip when ordering, but it was well deserved.

Curry was ok. Major issue with the chips, they were inedible, very old and dry, went straight in the bin

Ordered twice recently using their website. Food was ready and waiting to be collected at the time requested. Absolutely delicious and piping hot both times, big portions too. We will definitely be back again!

Food quality very poor!! No idea what the meat is supposed to be.

Total waste of money. Tasteless food, toughened meat that has been reheated way more than twice. Would rather eat ping ping ready meals.

Best Chinese Takeaway in the world!

Food was bland, the sauce tasted like it was made from a packet and had a powdery consistency. Salt and Pepper chips, are more like Salt Chips. Also found a few hairs in the food, they looked like eyelashes?. I'll stick to Bamboo in future, they're always great.

By far the best Chinese in the area. Always tasty. The team have done a great job throughout the pandemic with neither the food or service compromised. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Good food and relatively fast service.

This takeaway has been a family favourite for years but recently the meals haven't had the consistency of the past. Hope it gets back to normally.

Superfast service and excellent food.

Basic Chinese that you'd expect in UK: warned that no frill, no fancy ingredients, no fancy names, no creative dishes or anything fancy. But very good value, seasoned not extreme, freshly cooked and very efficient. That's what you want when you want a lazy & cosy evening and staying safe. I don't like spring rolls very much but theirs are freshly done, crispy and non greasy so happy to eat theirs. They look after their oil, obviously. If you don't like or allergic to any ingredients, they are happy to adjust unlike other takeaways. We don't like catering chicken very much so we wish they have more variety of soups without it...They have been going for decades, are keeping very low key but always busy at dinner times. So we are confident that their turn over of stocks are fast.

Really friendly staff. But the salt and pepper chips was a disappointment. No onion or pepper just chunks of garlic. And the chicken was black theigh meat.

Been going here for roughly 25 years. Never a single bad meal. Only down side is they don't deliver and you won't find them on any apps. That tells you all you need- they don't need to. Busy enough. Food says it all!

The best Chinese in preston in my opinion

Good Chinese food. Pity the chips weren't traditional chippy chips as they were oven chips.

My friend asked me to pick up a takeaway on the way to her house. Not knowing the area I asked another friend for a recommendation. I got the chilli shredded beef - all I can say is the food was rough and I won’t be eating there again.

It's quite good, food usually arrives fast, it is the normal standard for take away food. Prices are good and the ribs are really good

Great food. Top tip, get three in one, chips, curry and egg fried rice in a tray, £3.50. Great if you're on a budget.

You can always count on a decent meal from this place. It's pretty good value for money and you never have to wait too long for your meal

Went here has we had previously had the best salt n pepper chips here ,just had the worst absolute krap chips with a few chilli flakes on ,soup ok crispy beef in ok sauce was ok .Tangs is in a different league so many fresh ingredients in there dishes must try if you like chinese this is the place to go they do takeaway .

Eating here for over 15 years. Have tried many of preston's Chinese take away's and we still come back here. Shredded crispy beef in OK sauce is great along with the BBQ chicken and the spare ribs. Always friendly at the front and reasonably priced.

Top quality food, cooked perfectly every time. Not greasy at all. Staff friendly. Very clean inside. Highly recommend this Chinese takeaway.

over 20 years since I last had food from the Green Dragon I will never go again. 2 x special chow mein and both went into the bin. Tasteless and fatty meat...compared to the Red Bean expensive and no where near the quality. Old George who use to run it in the 80s will roll over in his grave at the standard of food being offered here.

First time here for more than twenty years. Ordered a chicken chowmein and beef dish to share.Food and service was excellent.We don't eat Chinese much since Hatdcastle Rd changed hands, but we will now.I will return soon!

We have been going here for 15 years and loved it but something has changed recently and we've just had two dishes that tasted exactly the same Like salt! Our mouths were stinging from the amount of salt they had used It was disgusting We'll be finding ourselves another chinese

Have been using New Dragon Inn for over 15 years since I worked on Tulketh Brow, always pay a visit when back in town, Curry sauce is unique and delicious, obviously not stock bought from Wing Yip Store or the likes, most friends and family pass several other takeaways (approx 4 miles) to shop here!

We have been using this takeaway now for many years and we rate it lots. If you order on the telephone the food only ever takes 10 minutes which is great. Chicken fried rice is fantastic, sweet and sour chicken, chilli crispy beef and salt and pepper ribs. Love it.

As our usual Chinese take away chiu Kwan was closed on Tuesday we decided to try dragon inn we ordered our usual dishes. Absolutely terrible!! chicken did not taste like chicken the black bean did not have peppers in the salt and pepper chips had no peppers would defiantly not recommend. Big disappointment
