Ming's Chinese Cuisine in Preston - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

After finding out both of the Chinese buffets had been closed we wandered upon this little place, so we thought we'd give it a go . What an absolute mistake that was. Our first clues should have been that the place was empty, our second clues should have been that the menu is only in Chinese with very little English on it, our third clue should have been when the waiter was unable to translate what was on the menu. Our fourth clue should have probably been the first three things we asked for they didn't have .So once we had deciphered the menu we had to wait a considerable amount of time to actually get the meals and when we did my partner's came considerably sooner than mine, I was left telling him to eat because the gap was so large his was getting cold. He had some sort of soup and sweet and sour chicken. When mine came I was in utter disbelief . My lamb kebabs were the most skinniest, minimalist things I don't even think I could have called it a kebab! More like strings of meat and they were considerably spicy which was not mentioned in the menu (in the little english it had) or waiter. It was about this point when they showed up with the drinks we had ordered more or less when we came in, they did apologise to be fair that they'd forgot but considering we were the only people in the restaurant I'd figure we were pretty hard to forget about, they didn't offer glasses either. 5-10 minutes later they show up with my apparently 'roast potatoes', crisps, we call them. It genuinely was as if they'd emptied some walkers into a bowl and popped them under the grill. To my dismay two Chinese looking gents walked in and their meal looked absolutely amazing! Also, I hope you can eat with chop sticks as no other cutlery was provided (even for very sloppy looking noodle soup)Their English was very poor, so poor they couldn't even translate their own menu I think they should really consider taking some English lessons considering they are so close to the university and would have so much potential for business from it .The whole meal itself cost just shy of £29 and I left hungry, disappointed and in utter disbelief, I am genuinely surprised my partner paid for it I thought he would have put in a complaint and told them not a chance in hell. You could not pay me to return to this place and I wouldn't recommend it as far as I could throw it.

We found Mings when we were searching for Chinese food after learning that both Chinese buffets had closed down in town.We couldn't read half of the menu, but some plates do have English translations underneath. We chose option a meal deal that contained:*Chicken and sweetcorn soup*Chargrilled chicken wings*Beef curry*Sweet and sour chicken*Egg fried rice.I think this option cost £13.50 and was for 2 people. The soup arrived first and it was hot and very tasty. Along came the wings which were beautiful. After we had finished, the rice, beef and chicken plates followed, all were so tasty and beautifully made.Next time we are in Preston and are craving Chinese food, we will definitely visit again. The staff were very pleasant as well.There were no faults in our visit.

Me había pasado este restaurante en muchas ocasiones y estaba feliz de acuerdo a la sugerencia de un amigo que probarlo. El menú del restaurante en la ventana parecía interesante.Desgraciadamente no es la mejor experiencia.Buscábamos un plato, así que opté por la carne en salsa de alubias negras con arroz hervido.La comida llegó lo suficientemente rápido, pero me dieron pollo en lugar de carne. Decidí mantener la comida que habían ofrecido. Estaba bien, pero eso es todo lo que se puede decir. El plato era frío, así por el tiempo que me comí la bock choi estaba frío. Mi amigo tenía un problema similar con su plato. Yo no uso el chop palitos pero como estos vienen con vajilla de estilo occidental hace difícil comer y todo lo que nos dieron era un tenedor (sin cuchilla) para complementar los cubiertos.También parecía ser algo argentino bargy en la cocina que está algo entretenido después de una moda pero apenas un gran servicio.Fue 8 libras @ head para la comida y una lata de coca cola, así que el precio estaba bien.No gran incentivo para volver me temo que decir.

Soy un contratista que trabajaba en la zona y queríamos chino, así que basado en los comentarios me fui.Me saludaron amablemente y tomó mi asiento. Hacía frío y lo mencioné y no se hizo nada. Yo era el único en el restaurante.Los hijos estaban a todo volumen hay pop cursi desde sus ipads en una manera muy molesto y ruidoso. No mencionar. Pero era como que ni siquiera allí.La comida era dudoso. Aparentemente con un huevo autenticado con coloración, que duros sabía a que había estado en la nevera un par de días muy largos.Pedí un recibo para fines de gastos. . . Al salir y me saludaron con expresiones de horror continúa (aunque Britney Spears a te acuerdas de los hijos, así que difícilmente podría ipad escuchar la camarera).Acabé con un número de IVA (que admitió que no son iva marca) y una nota manuscrita de recibo.Así que si te gusta la comida de los restaurantes, antiguo gélido, Britney Spears jugaba en su oído gritos desde un altavoz ipad 2 19 hombres, y años pleitos ruidosamente entre sí, y no tener reciepts. Luego paso en. que te costaría.En general una experiencia completamente embarazoso comiendo, literalmente a todos los niveles. Para ellos y para mí.

Necesitaba donde ir a cenar antes del teatro. Hacía mucho frío fuera y no mucho más caliente por dentro. Había radiadores que tenía luces pero sin calefacción era procedente de ellos. Pedí una sopa como entrante, pero nuestro 4 comidas llegó sin él. Supuse que podrían haber olvidado ya que había confusión sobre el orden en primer lugar. Mi sopa llegó a mitad de camino a través de la comida. La comida estaba bien. A pesar de una lamentable experiencia, yo siento que este lugar tiene potencial. Nos vuelva en unos 6 meses para ver si ha mejorado.

He visitado el lugar con un amigo, ya me han dicho que debo! Tenía mis dudas al comenzar, ya que no soy gran diversión de cocina china.Nuestro anfitrión, llamado Kenny nos ha acogido en forma muy cálida, él era muy conocedor y él es un servicio excelente!Tuvimos una agradable y frío emanaciones Puilly como deberían, la recomendación de comida era exactamente lo que necesitábamos, no muchos platos y muy buena calidad de la comida y la presentación recordó algo de comida muy buena, pero con precios más accesibles.El postre era magnífico y muy ligero y estaba para morirse!Estoy muy contento de esta cocina china moderna y volveré seguro con mis amigos y yo creo firmemente que todo el mundo debería probarlo! !

Visité aquí la semana y para mi sorpresa, la comida era muy buena y muy bien presentada. Kenny también fue muy servicial a la hora de asegurarse que tenía todo lo que necesitaba y me recomendaron platos nuevos que no habría pensado para probar. Se lo recomendaría a amigos y familiares para visitar.

Came here with my partner and it is the best Chinese I have had, food is fresh and the manager/waiter is amazing !! He is so sweet and attentive 5* just on that. 💕

We (me and my fiance) are regular customers in X-Kitchen and now in Ming's. Delicious food, great location and always warm welcome is the reason why those restaurants are on our "food map". Eveything is fresh, simple and well served.It's a great pleasure so see that you're developing! Fingers crossed for your further success!

My cousin and I have just had our first visit to Ming. First class service, Kenny is very welcoming and did absolutely everything to make our experience unforgettable. We order the Ribs (would defiantly recommended, a must have), Satay Chicken, Crispy Duck, Special fried Rice and also Spring Rolls. It was all very well presentated and could not fault it. We will be back!!!! It's a must try!!!

I don't really leave reviews but Ming's cuisine really impressed on me . It's so difficult to find a proper Chinese/ Cantonese restaurant in Preston . Although Ming's and X kitchen share the same owner but the food is totally different . Nothing crazy spicy , all delicious light and tasty Cantonese dishes with great presentation. Seafood was nice same as the meat . The environment is cozy and nice, nice decoration and interesting Chinese style .
