Amazing Chinese takeaway. The food is always first class. Good variety of dishes. Pleasant customer service. I can't fault this place 5 star's from me 👍

Do not order online as they have two site's, for some strange reason they've kept the one most people order on (1st one that comes up on Google search, the one that I've always used) but waiting for a hour after the order was confirmed, then ringing up to see what was going on, to be told no order has shown up £28 plus had still come out of my bank, waited yet another 50 minutes to be told to come in and show my order which I did, and even showed my bank payment to the owners after arguing back and forth somehow keeping my cool I may add .... as the staff was nice apart from the lady cooking outback who wasn't going to do my order. I told them the website needs taking down as if it's not the one there using there going to lose money as trying to give them sound advice the order/food was great however her attitude was rude towards me as I told it's not myself who made the order page if you do order ring up as that was a right headache and lost my delivery fee money because by this point it had dragged out enough.

First time trying this chinese, a lot of the reviews were positive so thought to give it a try as the prices seemed reasonable also. Order arrived 25 minutes after placing order, fantastic, was piping hot, excellent, surprise freebies included, wonderful. However, everything tasted like it had been reheated. The chips were dry, noodles stuck together, prawn toast like rubber, chicken balls seemed stringy and gloopy inside. Not impressed at all, £35 down the drain.

This use to be such a good Chinese with chips to die for but now they are not good. The food is a bit of hit or miss although the portion size is good, curry is good but the special chow mein that was one of my favourites is not so good at all. From my last two purchases Ive ended up throwing a lot of the food in the bin. Shame really I wont be going back.

Ordered a takeaway online using their own website approx 1 and a 1/2 hours in advance. It never arrived at the designated time and when we rang to check the status of the order we were informed they weren't sending it. We were lucky that we had chosen to pay cash on delivery otherwise I'm pretty sure they would have taken the money and ran!! They also then blatantly lied that they had rung to inform us, but they hadn't! Do not trust this establishment!

Please be aware and do not order online from this establishment! Ordered online (1 1/2 hours in advance) and when the food didnt arrive, we rang, only to be told the order wasnt being fulfilled. Absolute charlatans!! Do not use them!!!!

First time trying this place after being disappointed by a couple I usually use. Delivery was quick and the food was very tasty and plentiful. I'd certainly recommend it 👌👌

it was okay, salt and pepper chips and shredded chicken didn’t taste much of salt and pepper, i’ve had better - came 30 mins before the stated delivery time and hot though

Stay away. Definitely will not be ordering from here ever again. My partner found a cluster of human hairs wrapped around an unidentifiable object. It was only noticed once she had taken a mouthful of food! We both immediately vomited at the sight of it. On complaining they seemed uninterested and reluctantly offered a refund. Now some 9 days on I am still awaiting the refund. I called to chase and was given a very rude reception and told to wait. Absolutely disgusting and should be avoided at all cost!!

Had 1 bite of every item in my munchie box all of it was awful and rock solid. Usually great food here but absolutely awful tonight!!! 35 pound in the bin.

Made us wait 3 hours for the food then called the wrong number on delivery resulting in them throwing the food away. Then offered a £1 discount and said we had to pick it up ourselves. Awful experience

Had a order done via the website and for collection, we haven't been for years so wanted to try again. Was told to be there by 4.45pm, so 15 minutes after opening, we got there a bit early, and food was ready by the time. 2 mains with 2 rice and ribs plus free prawn crackers and spring rolls with 2 fritters (tasted like custard creams almost), all absolutely lovely. Very filling so was able to make two meals out of my meal and brother couldn't finish his. They also had a seating area for pick up/drop ins. Definitely will go again.

I don’t really leave reviews usually but is the second time I order from this place and I wondering why I tried just now after 8 years of takeaway in Preston. Is for real the most amazing Chinese food I had so far. Quick service, hot and spot on food. Best Udon noodles I had around (even in restaurants). Owh and they surprise me also with unexpected free nibbles. So THANK YOU also for this. I will see you soon!

Ordered the set meal for 1 tonight, which consisted of 3 mini vegetable spring rolls, 5 battered chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce, roast pork chop suey and egg fried rice for £11.50 at time of purchase. Order came with a free portion of prawn crackers and 2 battered balls extra (I'm assuming chicken as I'm saving them for another day). I've portioned off half of the main meal, had 2 chicken balls and the spring rolls and I'm absolutely stuffed!!! Enjoyed every bite of it and I'm already looking forward to finishing the rest tomorrow. Definitely recommend!

Been trying to find a decent Chinese for a while reading reviews on all of them, tang was the only ok one I could find which has gone downhill, but this one is quality everything was good if your struggling to find a Chinese make sure you go here and the problem will be sorted ✅

Best Chinese in Preston that deliver! No MSG's, fast service and the lady that delivers is very polite! Lovely food and it's delivered red hot. Give this place a try, I doubt you'll be disappointed!

Got the 12 inch munchie box, wasnt too sure how big it would be so ordered some rice. Everything was very tasty and it wasnt like other munchie boxes where everything tastes the same. Curry sauce was very good! This will be our regular Chinese now 🙂

This is an amazing Chinese takeaway with a new owner and chef now. The food was revised and now even more fabulous! I’ve visited more than 5 times now and every time with different dishes and all with no disappointment. Super delicious food and I will recommend anyone with Chinese takeaway cravings to have it fixed here! You will not regret it, trust me! 😊

Best chicken curry and egg fried rice I’ve had by far

First time ordering from here last night, I got mixed starter (ribs, spring, rolls etc) partner got crispy chilli beef, our meals was absolutely delicious. We was even more surpised at the free prawn crackers and little spring rolls! The order came sooner than stated, and a friendly delivery woman. Thanks Team

Ordered a delivery which was scheduled for 21.40 which was not a bad timescale. I ordered at 20.50. My meal was delivered at 21.05. Impossible to cook my meal fresh and deliver in that time frame. It was hot in the middle and cold towards the edges ( obviously microwaved). The meat was very cheap,tough and tasteless. The curry sauce looked like a dirty puddle and was very bland. The seaweed was also obviously microwaved to heat up. I must say this is the worst takeaway I have ever ordered. Even the free prawn crackers were soggy. Will NEVER order from here again. There are much better chinese takeaway locally. Thought I would try and very very poor

Honestly what a lovely Chinese Takeaway! I’ve ordered about 5 times and the food is always bang on! From a house special chow main to salt and pepper chips to duck in plum sauce and honestly the munchie box is amazing! this place never lets me down! After placing the order it took 35 mins to arrive at my door freshly cooked and boiling hot! Staff are absolutely lovely too and you always get freebies if you spend a certain amount! Would definitely recommend!

The food was okay, not massively exciting. Priced okay but on the website says free delivery within 3 miles for orders over £12. They charged me £2 and less than a mile away, 45 minute wait. My local Chinese is much quicker and better quality. Wouldn't have it again, but unsure of the competiton.

Food here isn’t very nice. How can you make a Chinese curry so bad? It had a very unpleasant after taste. Maybe I caught them on a bad night, but I won’t be back.

We are regular customers of the New China and have never had a bad meal from there. The staff are the friendliest people you could wish to deal with, whether ordering over the phone, visiting in person or receiving a delivery. The food is delicious - the best Chinese takeaway in Preston since Wok's Cooking closed down - and chip butties made with their Salt and Pepper Chips were a revelation! They will happily make fried rice with no egg to go with one of the Mixed Vegetables meals if you want a vegan option, though there were no vegan starters (hence the Salt and Pepper Chips order as a 'side' for our resident vegan!). When we've had our meals delivered, they have always arrived within the time specified, with free prawn crackers, and delivered with a smile.

Found a screw in my main which chipped my tooth.

First time we have tried this takeaway and have to say we were very disappointed. The prawn crackers, although 'on the house', were stale and soft. The shredded beef was tasteless and gelatinous whilst the kung po chicken was luke warm, rubbery and the sauce very watery. I've awarded two stars as the service was friendly and prompt but I really feel like I have wasted my money. I hate writing negative reviews but I can't honestly find anything good to say about the food we have just had.

We have ordered from new China a few times and on most occasions it’s been fine but last wk end the main menu was ok but the ( Ribs ) in bbq scs were loop warm not as one would expect as they normally come hot So on this occasion, Very disappointed as the hall lot came to over £50

As a key worker staying in a hotel was very anxious ordering a Chinese out of my home town but took the plunge and done it very nice over the phone food was lovely it came very hot will order again when in this area

Absolutely excellent service, so friendly when placing your order, delivery time was so fast. The food is the best Chinese we've ever had. Considering that during this pandemic we've not been brave enough to venture out much this is actually the first take away we've had in 7 months. Not disappointed & wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Ordered chicken curry it tasted burnt called asked them to exchange it. Replacement was the same awful . Think it had been cooked in a old pan or something smelt burnt too. I got my money back .

In a nutshell, curry sauce burnt, tasted burnt, smelt burnt, too late once poured over your special fried rice, no interest in refund, offered replacement sauce, which was the same, so refused, and was given a £1 refund, Wont be going here again. Previous reviews have also mentioned this burnt sauce, they even agreed it was burnt.

Food is always amazing here. Since first ordering never been anywhere else for Chinese. Always very fresh.

We ordered salt and pepper chicken,chips, curry sauce and egg fried rice. The salt and pepper chicken was great, better than anywhere else we've had it from. The chips, not great, soggy and just a bit rubbish. Curry sauce tastes like BBQ sauce, was weird and the rice was fairly bland. We chose to try here as we've heard such great reviews about the place, but for us, it's a no.

Ordered Chicken Foo Yung & received Prawn Foo Yung. Not great when you are allergic to fish and seafood. Took back and received correct order and a free portion of Prawn crackers - laughable Never going back again

Decided on a take away for Friday nights tea and so glad we did. Hubby had king prawn curry and I had sweet and sour chicken. Both meals were lovely And hot and plentiful. My hubby said they were the best king prawns he'd had. My chicken was delicious and the sauce and vegetables was indeed the best I've tasted as well. What else but to say give this little gem a try ...

Wow , was looking for a chinese without using Just eat and getting stung for £1.50 extra for nothing . Clicked on tripadvisor and found New China . How lucky was i amazing food and portion size and will definately be using again.

We have ordered take-aways from New China on several occasions and have always enjoyed it. A particular favourite is the mixed vegetables with cashew nuts: very tasty. The portions are generous and include rice.

I just felt I had to write a review as the food was inedible and it all went in the bin! The wontons weren't cooked. The chicken wings were dry and overcooked . The egg fried rice was more like boiled rice and sloppy and bland. How they could send food out like that is beyond me . Disgusting avoid , avoid , avoid !!!

We stumbled accross the New China after our usual takeaway was not answering the phone, I'm so glad they didn't..!! The food was tasty, hot and plentiful, delivery prompt and by a lovely smiling lady. All of good quality with plenty left over for a second serving...not that we had any room left.. Thank you so much New China, you are now on speed dial..

Ordered two different chow mein dishes and chips. The chips were reheated so we didn’t bother eating them because they were simply vile and the two chow mein dishes were full of random vegetables just to make the dish look bigger. Very disappointed and a complete waste of money. So far Preston don’t seem to know what good Chinese food is, glad I don’t live here

i feel the the food has gone downhill compared to 13 months ago. which is a shame maybe the chef has changed. the hot and sour soup is now way too thick its off putting, the singapore noodles are that salty i struggle to finish the meal and i had to chuck a third of my crispy duck away as the skin was soft and there was too much white fat in there. i really enjoyed this place i hope its just a blip

Tried here for the first time last night as our usual Chinese was closed. will definitely be going back- it was delicious, the curry was probably the best we've ever had and the chips were proper chips. The delivery time was bang on and the delivery person was really friendly.

BBQ Spare Rib sauce was very tasteless. Prawn toast full of fat and the topping was like plastic couldn't eat it yuk! Special fried was nice however the container was only three quarters full the curry sause was nice. NOT GOOD VALUE for money it all cost me £24..I phoned up before writing this and all they could offer me was 10% discount of my next order..they could have given me a free special fried rice as it wasn't a full one to start with!

We had food from this takeaway a few months ago and thought it was great. Unfortunately this time it was terrible. We had soup- chicken and sweet corn and hot and sour. The chicken and sweet corn was so think and lumpy with jelly and the hot and sour was not much better. It was not very appetizing to look at or taste. Our mains were not up to scratch either. The sauces were both bright red (Ok and Cantonese sauce) and full of msg. The shredded beef was soggy and not crispy. We were very dissapointed and will not be ordering from them again. Really not worth the calories.

Had the ribs last night, thanks Chef,,,,,,,,, melt in the mouth to die for, superb. Lovely happy people, who always go the extra mile. Consistently great food.

Finding a consistently good Chinese takeaway is difficult nowadays. Tried New China following a recommendation from a work colleague. Not disappointed at all. Staff very polite and professional and quickly recognise you as a regular. All food we have had is excellent although we always pop down to order. Not tried delivery yet!

Read quite a few reviews on trip advisor and New China has some excellent reviews. We tried it and were very disappointed I would possibly say one of the worst Chinese we have ever had.

New China does the best Chinese Chicken Curry by far!! But even better are the chips, proper chunky chips just like they do in Wigan. The staff are very cheerful and you are always greeted with a smile.

I've reviewed before, this place is excellent.

Used to be a regular of 30 years at this takeaway. But since it change it's menu and name the food has gone down hill. The curry sauce is horrible and the gravy is like water to name a few examples. I won't be buying my food here again.

I've been to the New China a few times and it's never a disappointment! There is such a big choice and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. Having lived in Preston for year in different areas i have tried Chinese from most of the usual places. After taking a while to chose what i wanted to eat, with there being so many options i opted for a simple chicken chow mein and sweetcorn and chicken soup.. the soup was really good, looked and tasted amazing and not being too salty but just right, which usually is the problem when i get it. the chow mein was amazing, all the veg was fresh and a decent amount of good chicken that melted in my mouth. the sauce was spot on. i can say without a doubt its the best chinese i've had in such a long time. Staff were amazingly friendly and let me decide what i wanted, if you are looking for fantastic food, look no further, can't recommend them enough.

Ordered chicken an sweet corn soup it smelt and tasted like cigarette ash ordered vegetable aping rolls and after confirmed the order they still sent meat ones and the chips were burnt

Always our go to Chinese for takeaways fresh tasty food and very friendly family run. Never had a bad meal I always collect so can't comment on delivery although I spoke to one of the delivery drivers last time whilst I was waiting for my order and again very friendly too.

Unbelievable how they say half hour for delivery and hour and half later still no sign so I ring up and apparently it's on its way just leaving the shop shocking.

I've tried a few Chinese take aways in Preston and never managed to find one I'd go back to. I was really surprised by this place. The food was delicious!!. It arrived fairly quickly and was still warm on opening!. I even ordered a dish that wasn't on the menu Shredded chicken in oyster sauce and they still accommodating me. It was one of the best take aways I've had in a very long time. I'll definitely be returning.. the only disappointment was that we ordered a Curry without mushrooms and it arrived with extra mushrooms. The take away couldn't apologise enough for their mistake. Overall a brilliant Chinese and service. Thank you New China. See you again soon.

This place has risen to the top in Preston, consistently good food and delightful staff who are patient and kind. Expensive for a single man, on his own, but very well worth the money. Excellent!!
