food was beyond mid. fried rice that had zero flavour (how do you even mess up fried rice), curry sauce so watery that the chips couldnt pick any up and lacking flavour too. Duck was dry and the prawn sweet and sour was okay i guess. Huge disappointment

Tried the Tangs munchie box. The dumplings and the pork were especially nice 🤤 fried squid, chicken pieces, fried rice and curry sauce were spot on 👌🏻 chips could be better and the wings were a bit too salty.

Been here a couple of years ago for a sit down meal and remembered the food to be great. However, ordered a takeaway this evening and it was bland, the meat was rubbery and sauces akin to a water gloopy gravy.

The food was really good. Especially the portion of the main course is more than enough for one person. The food was not at all greesy. The staffs are really friendly.

Just had a takeaway from here, what a shame…..tasteless food, slimey anaemic chicken, waste of £40. Definitely will not be going back

Terrible customer service absolute idiots on the phone.. Get angry when they get it wrong and then they blame you.. Stodgy rice and undercooked.. It's terribly overpriced too.. And it takes forever to get delivered this is from a customer who has ordered for 4 years but now I promise you it's gone downhill... Will go bust soon

Wow is all I can say. Second time this month we been here and not sure how it’s possible but the food and service gets better. 5***** We’ve even got a doggy bag to have tomorrow 😃

Foods just bland, fried rice just tastes like boiled rice, dry barbecue ribs have virtually no flavour and are full of cartilage, pork and shrimp dumplings are bland, as are the beef dumplings in ginger, pork fried rice contains unlisted and unwanted veggies (what if there's an allergy are you serious). Satay sauce is OK.

I can recommend Tang Restaurant! We have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant with authentic food and atmosphere and we found it there. Definitely will come back.

I waited for three hours and didn't receive any calls and didn't get my delivery yesterday night, and I called the restaurant today but a man with a bad attitude said they already called me yesterday without proving anything and hung up the phone suddenly, seems like it's my fault. Do you think an exchange student who has same nationality with you is easy to be bullied or what? The only thing I need is a good attitude to explain the problem and try to deal with it. Takeaway - had many good meals from Tang in the past. This was, by far, the worst. Deathly dry crispy beef, lukewarm and no flavour. Salt and pepper chips were soggy and bland. Lamb with cumin ok. Chicken fried rice beige and flavourless. The steamed rice was fine though. So one star for that. Sad to say won’t go back.

The food we ordered was all so bad. For real. The salt and pepper chips were stale, the singapore noodles were bland, the spring rolls and mixed vegetable were also bland. The chow mein noodles were okay but still a bit bland and they weren't even chow mein egg noodles? Seriously it was not good 😭

I was here for my friend's Birthday. The owner and the waiter really helpful when I said them of my allergy. I took a egg fried rice, 3 mushroom soup and garlic asparagus. Really 😋.

SLOW! Waited 1hr & 45mins for our food. Food was mostly very greasy & lacked taste. Customer service: I had to phone Tang twice and force them to tell me the truth about my order. Only after putting them in pressure they offered a refund to that point partner had been waiting over an hour so just wanted the food. Service type: Deliveroo Yummy: The chicken chow mei noodles & seaweed. Yukky/lacking taste: Greasy battered spare ribs, spring rolls

Tang's restaurant is epic! Fantastic food everytime no matter what dish you have. An excellent menu with a large enough menu to cater for every body. Great flavours, generous portions and extremely friendly staff means a fantastic foodie experience. 10/10 Highly recommended.

First time in Tang, and it will not be our last. New to Preston, and have found our go to Chinese on the first try. Everything we had was great, special mentions for the Satay starter and the Bok Choi and Squid. Staff very attentive, friendly and helpful with suggestions.

A wonderful Chinese. Went for a staff night out and cleared everything on my plates! Very large drinks list, and a huge variety when it comes to the meal. Can't fault this place!

We were made to feel very welcome. The place was lovely and warm and staff were great. Food was delicious and great portion sizes too. They had a choice of still or sparkling water which is always a plus for me. Easy parking right outside too. We don't live close but when we visit Preston again we will definitely return.

Takeaway first one of 2024 it was awful flavourless a waste of money can’t describe how bad it was only had a bit rest went in the bin .

Can’t comment on the service or atmosphere as only ordered takeout. Tried tangs 3 times now and been disappointed every time. Gave it another chance after the first time but my partner got it a third time and I tried it from - still rubbish. I’m only comparing it to other Chinese places I have tried and this is easily one of the worse. I got chicken fried rice, it was just boiled rice with chicken chunks in and had no flavour, something I could have made at home if I knew it would be this boring with no flavour. The chicken is just batter, no chicken inside, very chewy!

Food was poor, Duck was more Fat than Duck. Cash only apparently…

Takeaway ordered last night was the worst takeaway I have ever had the misfortune to eat. Beef dumpings were ok, both our mains were horrible . My house special chow mein came as two separate cartons, one with -very thin dru vermicelli noodles which did not go well with the sauce. The other a carton of tasteless gloop, predominantly cornflour based. In my experience chow mein is wokked together and usually with flat noodles. Husband's Szechuan chicken was even worse - neon glow in the dark shrieking red sauce that tasted inedibly hot and just plain horrible. (And yes, we both love szechuan cooking and can take chilli heat). £35 wasted and went in the bin. Never again.

Got our order wrong and gave my partner really bad food poisoning :( I didn’t finish the food because it wasn’t that nice so luckily I didn’t get poisoned.

They were very accommodating to my gluten allergy and the food was superb, 10/10 would recommend and would definitely go again

Wir haben etwa drei Stunden in diesem Saftladen verbracht. Nach anderthalb Stunden kam die Vorspeise, die Soßen, die es zu den Dumplings oder Frühlingsrollen gab, haben sehr billig geschmeckt. In den Frühlingsrollen war teils rohes Fleisch. Bis zur Hauptspeise dauerte es nochmal eine Stunde. Die Portionen waren sehr unterschiedlich groß. Manche zu klein um satt zu werden. Statt einem Fried Rice wollte man uns Plain Rice servieren. Dieser wurde dann zurückgenommen, etwas Ei hinzugegeben und zurück zum Tisch gebracht. Fisch- und Fleischgerichte waren wässrig. Laut war es auch - rennen sie solange sie noch können.

We have ordered from Tang for a couple of years, it was excellent for a while and has slowly gone down hill. In the last few times we have ordered they have forgotten our order completely, missed items from the delivery but this evening it was completely cold. We noticed they had changed the takeaway packaging. I called the restaurant and told them our food costing £58 was cold. The man on the telephone said they had no issues with other deliveries and that we have complained a few times and offered no apology. We have complained for good reason. We will not be ordered from Tang again and will never recommend. Far too expensive for rubbish food and staff with bad attitudes and zero customer service.

We are regulars at this place although it is a long way from home for us. We keep coming back because the food is fantastic. Tang has a very extensive menu - really worth trying some of the less obvious dishes.

Went to this place today and as soon as we came into eat, there was on elderly man who was extremely rude to us, perhaps the owner of the restaurant. Asking us if we were students or just moved to this country just because we said "reservation for 2", and had our palm facing towards us when we said "2" with our fingers ✌️. Apparently he took offence to this, but asking us questions like "have you just moved to this country or something" was unnecessary. Extremely rude. We were genuinely unaware that this gesture could be very offensive and he acted as if we had pointed the middle finger at him or otherwise. We genuinely were just trying to communicate to him as it was difficult to understand him as well. There was no ill-intent. We came here to eat and he genuinely ruined our time by being so rude right from the time we entered. The other staff were nice but would not recommend going to this restaurant if you have to encounter this man. The rudeness from this person made our meal unenjoyable and then for the rest of the night he avoided us. Please treat your customers nicely. The food was okay! We ate their for approx. 59 GBP worth of food and even tipped the other waiter who handed us the bill, so please don't reply to this review saying we were horrible customers, etc. I am writing this to let you know that the way you treat others says more about you then about us. Before you jump to conclusions about who we are, please try to think that we might not be people who are going out of their way to be hurtful to you. This review has not been written in a spiteful attempt to get back at you but in hopes that you won't treat other customers this way and for them to not have the unpleasant experience we encountered today. Very good food and excellent service

We got set A menu which each person can pick one soup and get all other dishes on the menu. Everything was big portion and we couldn't finish all so if you are starving and craving for Chinese food I'd highly recommend to come here! Waiters were pretty friendly and nice too. They have so mamy other kinds of dishes too so I definitely will visit again and wanna try new things more.

Excellent food, not greasy or oily, not too much salt, a little pricey but really well prepared and delicious.

If you have left money you go to restaurant if not you like every normal man cooking at home

Realy good. My usual Chinese has gone drastically down hill recently so tried this place and wasn't disapointed at all, the service was excellent got a free beer from the really nice guy while waiting, and the food was delicious, really good meat and excellent noodles. will definitely be back.

Great staff, very attentive, good choice of meals. It was quite busy on a Sunday night, goes to show it's good in my opinion. we had booked, so it wasn't a problem. One of our party ordered beef with ginger and spring onion, quite mild on the ginger, so next time he said he would ask for extra ginger, he did tell our server and he said the same. We had a really good chat with him to he was from our area in the north, really nice dining experience

Really gone down hill...chicken fry rice cold hard rice and full of water...spring rolls cold...and curry sauce full of oil..definitely not ordering again.. put it all straight in bin..was to awlful to eat. Used to get from here a lot..its been about 12 months since last ordered from there..was really Good..So god only knows what has happened ..So so disappointed

We enjoyed it. The staff are exceptionally friendly. I was dining with several Hong Kong Chinese who all agreed it was a good restaurant. They do not say that often.

Have been there 3 times for dim sum and dinner in the evening, food was delicious and staff is very friendly. Highly recommended and definitely will go back again.

A fairly inocuous building - we actually drove past it, first time. The place is clean & tidy, were shown to a table, no problem. Placed our order, got some drinks and food arrived. The food was absolutely fabulous - I've had the pleasure of living and working in Hong Kong for over 10 years and this was just as good as you'd get there. I would highly recommend Tang, the food was delicious as well as plentiful - We'll definately be going back, for sure. Superb.

The delivery arrived 20 minutes from early which was great. Vegetables with sweet and sour sauce, salt and pepper tofu, crispy seaweed, and boiled rice. Portion sizes were very generous, the food was hot and the flavours were excellent. The vegetables were very fresh and there was a good mix of different types. The tofu and seaweed were very tasty too. Fantastic!

Not the best Chinese I've been to but not the worst. Service was slow. Food was average. The sweetcorn soup was too gloopy, almost as thick as wallpaper paste. The tofu in green pepper & black bean sauce was similarly gloopy. My friends had the set menu for 2 and said the same, that everything was just OK, nothing special. I won't be going back.

Watery flavourless sauce. Lots and lots of totally raw uncooked vegetables and so little meat it was ridiculous. Avoid like the plague.

I ordered the second take away from Tang in about 6 months. Both were awful. Tang is higher priced than other takeaways and in the past that was fine because it was also better. Not anymore. Last time a got the duck pancakes. Now I know the duck should be crispy but it was just dry. Not tasty at all and poked through the pancakes as they were rolled. We thought we’d right it off as a one off. Roll on tonight when I ordered a chicken Chou mein. I’ve had it from there before and loved it for being tasty and one of the only places that used fine noodles. Tonight it was bland and boring. To the point where I decided not to eat it as it wasn’t worth the calories. Thoroughly disappointed and will not be using the take away service again.

OK it has a café like atmosphere, but you come for the food. There are a lot of Chinese students in Preston and a lot of them come here. Chinese beer and prawn crackers. Extensive menu, in Chinese if you want. Spoilt for choice. The dim sums or steamed dumplings make excellent starters. Main courses are flavoursome and generous. My son's Char Siu was particularly succulent. My Singapore vegetable noodles deliciously spicy. Their Chinese tea is a perfect accompaniment. All at a reasonable price. Keep coming back here.

Always go here for a Chinese meal both takeaway and eat in. The food is really good and plenty of it. The staff are brilliant, in particular the older guy (who I assume is the owner) and the younger fella. Its a converted pub (that I am sadly old enough to remember) so don't expect anything fancy but for the food and service its pretty good and authentic.

Absolutely superb experience start to finish. Firstly staff very professional, friendly and accommodating. Food absolutely excellent, every dish in a party of 10 people was completely and utterly cleared from the plates. Highly recommend going to this restaurant for all reasons. Can’t wait to go back myself.

Went for a meal as staying at Ribby hall and seen on trip advisor this has good reviews. Only ppl in restaurant (early mid week dinner) luckily suited us anyway and 2 noisy kids. Staff were all lively and very welcoming. Food was amazing!! Reasonably priced. Defo be back if down that way again.

A hidden gem with a brilliant array of dim sum dishes. All were nicely presented and cooked to perfection. Sui Mai dumplings, Char Sui buns and deep fried oysters were a treat, it’s just a shame we only came here at the end of our week or else we would have been in more to try more of the menu. Rolled rice dishes at lunchtime so maybe next time. Staff very pleasant and had a really nice time. Would heartily recommend.

This place had good reviews so I gave it a try and got a takeaway. Good service and helpful staff. Ordered beef with ho fun ( good and tasty) Pak choi with garlic (good also) and squid as starter. Waited only 10 mins and had a beer and under £30. They also gave me free prawn crackers.

Excellent service, excellent food, what else can I say? Passed here too many times and always forgot to try, must be the best Chinese food in Preston, yet to try the traditional Chinese food is I'm feeling adventures 😁

We have been to Tang many times and never left a review so thought it about time we did. Firstly, the place isn’t fancy but is very clean ( there is always parking on the side street or street immediately behind). The food is always excellent, freshly cooked with a very wide choice. The service is efficient and friendly and prices reasonable. Definitely our favourite Chinese - highly recommended.

I have only used their take away service and not physically been to their restaurant yet. These guys cook great Chinese food. Everything is authentic, and they don't cut corners. As a vegan request... Please consider adding vegan meat options other than tofu. Such as Richmond's vegan chicken strips. That would make a great vegan chicken chow mein. Stay high quality and I'll keep buying from you. Awesome!!!

I've ate many oriental takeaways over the years and this was tasty but definitely not value for money. The mixed starter platter for almost £20. 👎.

A basic no frills Chinese set up. Extensive menu for a choice across the cuisine. The staff were attentive, and the food arrived quickly. Everything was cooked freshly and was delicious. The prices are average. can't wait to return and sample more delights. Popular with local Chinese students.

Pre ordered for 730pm but didn't arrive until 810pm. Food was cold and the salt and pepper chips was the smallest portion of chips I've ever seen for the price! Unfortunately won't be ordering again. Very average at best.

Very good food and excellent customer service

Ordered some duck from here which took forever to turn up. When it did arrive, I can't tell you what part of the duck was used but there was bone and bone shards in every piece and thus, inedible. Honestly, I probably should have reported it as a food safety issue.

We always go to Tang when we go out as the food and service are always brilliant. We are 3 vegetarians and there’s loads of choice for both meat eaters and veggies here! The food is delicious and is always made to the same high standard - they’re very reliable. Every single member of staff is lovely. Cannot recommend them enough.

Absolutely fantastic. My partner brought me here on the 4th February for my birthday and all I can say is WOW! Staff were brilliant, the food was fantastic and soo well presented. Will 1000% be visiting again soon!

We actually left this restaurant after 5 minutes because the staff were so unfriendly. They didn't like us choosing our own table and told us it would not warm up for an hour because the heating had only just been turned on. They then refused to allow any flexibility on our order because we don't eat pork. When I said to the manager that we didn't feel welcome he said sarcastically 'what do you want me to do, welcome you with open arms?' well, it would be a start wouldn't it?!
