Tang Restaurant in Preston

I was reassured by the price of the food example - £9.20 for Spare ribs, it was a lot more than I usually pay I thought this must be high quality and spot on but no it was OK at best.

Staff were helpful when i phoned up with questions about there menu items

order was late, but the food was amazing! Cantonese duck, salt and pepper king prawns, noodles with beansprouts and egg fried rice made for an AMAZING meal! the duck was tender & juicy & full of flavour, the prawns were salty, spicy & HUGE! and the sides were spot on. love Tangs & will continue to order from here.

Really enjoy the food from this place. It’s always good, arrives to us hot and tastes like it is made fresh to order. Generous portions and great selection. I highly recommend. Expect to wait a bit longer at peak times as they get busy and be specific with any order notes.

The app said delivery at 20.55 but it was delivered pipping hot at 20.15, was very impressed first time ever that's happened

Delivery on time. Cold hard re-fried chips. Shrivelled hard prawns. Never again. Only good thing salt and pepper tofu. No flavour in broccoli and vegetables dish. Very disappointed. Rice ok.

Ordered 2 hours ago, was told it would be 1 hour wait. 25 minutes ago they said it was on their way (I’m staying 5 minutes away by car), but according to their driver they lied because they have just called saying they’ve only just collected the food. I don’t mind the wait but honest communication would be appreciated Let’s hope the food is worth the 2 hour wait.

Absolutely amazing as always. So so much flavour order notes followed. All arrived hot and fresh thank you for an amazing meal delivery lady lovely. Duck on bone yummy 🤤 plenty of it too. Crispy seaweed crispy sweet and salty just how it should be perfect. Garlic asparagus amazing crunch with lots of flavour everything else perfect.

first time at this Restaurant and i'm sure we will be back. We found the staff welcoming and helpful. we were given some prawn crackers as we sat down and that was nice. Lots on the menu. We didn't try the dim sum (one for another time !) but went for the more usual menu items. I had the hot and sour soup as a starter and it was just great. Mains all seemed decent portion sizes and all four of us enjoyed our meals. Service was attentive but not overly fussy.

Ordered a takeaway. Not been to tang for a while no particular reason. Good was hot when I arrived to collect it. Everything was fresh and very tasty. We got the seaweed, Singapore vermicelli, chicken with oyster sauce salt and pepper chips and curry sauce.

10/10 the best Chinese in the North West by a mile!

Said it was going to take 45/55 minutes to get to mine but it came I’m in under 15 minutes! Arrived super hot and was delicious - will deffo order again

Unfortunately the owner/manager was very rude. We made a booking online through the online booking system on their website. This is apparently wrong and you can only book on the phone. They require a cash deposit but were funny when we asked for a receipt of this “why it’s not going anywhere” was their response. Apparently there is a minimum spend of £250 for the karaoke room? There was only 5 of us. The room itself was fine and food was ok. Buzzed a few times and no service. At 45 minutes to end the owner demanded that we must spend a further £100 to meet the £250 requirement (that isn’t stated anywhere online or in the restaurant) but the kitchen closes in 15. They wouldn’t let us order a dessert and suggested we buy 4 bottles of Prosecco at £25 and be on our way- which I said was expensive. His reply was “in an English restaurant it’s double, we are way cheaper” Then said “you need to spend £100 in the next 45 mins so chop chop” When trying to discuss with the manager/owner (unsure which he is) he kept walking off leaving us to deal with the poor waiter. We were trying to discuss that there wasn’t service at times and calling us 15 minutes before end of kitchen service to tell us we need to spend £100 more was not fair as we could have ordered more food or dessert if service was prompt/buzzer was adhered to. Such a shame as the rest of the staff were kind and helpful. Will not be revisiting and advised his website needs changing. He wasn’t for any feedback on his website as it’s theirs? Whatever that means. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re after a nice warm atmosphere.

Ordered from here as it said restaurant and thought quality would be good but everything apart from spring rolls was so bland tasted like a microwave meal with no flavour whatsoever

Booked a karaoke room here for the first time for a special occasion and cannot thank the team enough for making it so special! The food was gorgeous (salt and pepper chicken wings in particular were stunning) and the service was top tier - really attentive, efficient and incredibly polite. We had some people in our group with specific dietary needs who were really well catered to and the team had extensive knowledge of allergens during our visit. Everyone in our party had a fantastic time and I look forward to coming back again.

Very tired Interior.. Expensive beer & average food .. Won't be coming here again, the food was very average (the take away is better) took ages to come out in an empty restaurant. Beer ridiculously expensive at £4 a small bottle 🫤

Went to Tang last night and it was absolutely beautiful. We opted for Set Menu C with a few extras and we were delighted. After picking myself up off the floor chuckling at my wife’s attempt at using chopsticks 🥢 the food was wonderful. Perfectly timed intervals between courses, perfect temperatures and quantity that left us extremely content but not so much that it felt wasteful. A personal favourite was the lamb in the Set Menu and we’d definitely recommend! The staff were very attentive, checked between each course of you wanted a break, and you didn’t need to wait for you glass to be refilled; a credit to the establishment. Price was very reasonable too, especially for the great quality. A little gem and we will definitely return and will be recommending. Thank you to all the staff!

Usually the food and service are excellent. However tonight the food was very late. Parts of or order was missing and the main mix meat dish we ordered was deep fried and quite sickly. Hopefully this is a one off and they ll be back on form next time.

I accidentally ordered to the wrong address. I contacted Tang and they made the order again and had it delivered within half an hour. Super service, excellent food and will definitely be our regular takeaway and eat in option. Thank you :)

Been coming here for 10 years the best Chinese. Special mix chow mien is the best we have eaten. Great service and cater for allergies too.

Have always enjoyed Tang but the food tonight was bland, quite disappointing.

The food was lovely and piping hot when it arrived. We were surprised how large the portion size was for the beef curry. My husband loved it. We have found our new Chinese Takeaway and will be ordering again. And again!!

Love it time and time again. Over the years probably tried everything on the menu including the Chinese menu :) duck tongues are the best . Love this place for quiet meal , great service and quality of food. Manager always looks after you. Its my comfort place. Great dim sum , fantastic pork fish and tofu stew.

Bit dissappointed that we didn’t receive our duck in plum sauce - we got a mixed rice dish instead so overall amount of food was same but would have preferred what we ordered. Food was good quality though

This has got to be the MOST BLAND Chinese ive ever eaten. No taste no flavour. Its a no from me.

I collected first time Chinese takeaway from Tang. Food was disgusting, threw everything in bin. Taste - awful. Kids didn't have after trying a bit. Salt paper chicken, sweet and showered chicken, salt paper chips, and any other chicken curry we ordered that were awful. Chicken could not be able to chew. Chips no salt and it was looking like made it a day before. Please only go to tang if you like low quality food.

Food was good but one of the dishes was incorrect. We contacted the restaurant and they offered to replace but we had started our meal, and to avoid having to wait for the correct dish we decided to keep what we had.

The worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. I ordered half a chicken but was very shocked with what I got. I couldn’t even find a whole chicken leg. HOWEVER, I found 2 small chicken wings instead. Their half a chicken just consisted of left over pieces of chicken. If the system let me, I wouldn’t even give one single star. The attitude of the staff was very very bad too! This was the first time and it will be the last time I go to this restaurant.

You have dishes on your menu which you say are suitable for vegetarians…..BUT THEY CONTAIN SEAFOOD AND PORK!! Vegetarians DO NOT EAT FISH, SEAFOOD/CRUSTACEANS OR MEAT!!

To begin with the order was late even though it was pre ordered 3 hours before. Then when it did arrive the delivery person hammered on our front door like he was on a police raid waking up my 2year old it was 8.30pm. We then opened the food to be disappointed by the portion size especially for the price the special fried rice was extremely bland and tasted of nothing the beef in the beef with vegetables was cold even though the veg was warm. The chips were very dry. All the food was tasteless.

Tried the Tangs munchie box. The dumplings and the pork were especially nice 🤤 fried squid, chicken pieces, fried rice and curry sauce were spot on 👌🏻 chips could be better and the wings were a bit too salty.

Been here a couple of years ago for a sit down meal and remembered the food to be great. However, ordered a takeaway this evening and it was bland, the meat was rubbery and sauces akin to a water gloopy gravy.

Chips were missing from the order. Annoying, but couldn’t be bothered to ring back!

The food was really good. Especially the portion of the main course is more than enough for one person. The food was not at all greesy. The staffs are really friendly.

Very poor standard. Curry sauce was enough to burn anyone’s mouth, egg fried fried looked anaemic and was tasteless. Mixed vegetables in satay sauce was tasteless - they were thrown out they were so bad :( salt & pepper chips were also poor. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Terrible customer service absolute idiots on the phone.. Get angry when they get it wrong and then they blame you.. Stodgy rice and undercooked.. It's terribly overpriced too.. And it takes forever to get delivered this is from a customer who has ordered for 4 years but now I promise you it's gone downhill... Will go bust soon

Ordered from here for the first time, it arrived surprisingly quickly, which was probably a sign that the food was not fresh. It was very expensive for what we got, the portions of chips were really small, the noodles were dry and crispy like they had been under a hot lamp with no flavour, the sauce tasted as if it was part of a ready meal and just no flavour with any of the food at all, the only good thing was the broccoli.. would not order from here again

Foods just bland, fried rice just tastes like boiled rice, dry barbecue ribs have virtually no flavour and are full of cartilage, pork and shrimp dumplings are bland, as are the beef dumplings in ginger, pork fried rice contains unlisted and unwanted veggies (what if there's an allergy are you serious). Satay sauce is OK.

Wow is all I can say. Second time this month we been here and not sure how it’s possible but the food and service gets better. 5***** We’ve even got a doggy bag to have tomorrow 😃

Absolute worst Chinese I've ever eaten . Described as fried rice it's never seen a wok or a bottle of soy sauce. Yesterday's chips and soggy noodle . Inedible.
