Caffè Nero in Brighton and Hove

Used to be my favorite place to work for a bit but their wifi is virtually non-existent anymore. Getting to be really expensive coffee for not being able to actually do what I came to do

Really, they are more interested in chatting than serving. No queue and they still wouldn't serve. With so much choice it surprises me but I suppose they just don't care.

Massively understaffed. One poor trainee barista left on their own. Complete joke.

me and my partner came for brunch here, had a lovely coffee made for us and a warm toasty! a nice cheaper alternative as there are a lot of expensive coffee shops in the lanes etc and so if you can't afford that, this gives you a chain place thats still made well to go to!

It's a nice spot, and even some padded comfy chairs! It means a lot it's why I make the extra effort due to chronic pain, thanks Nero! friendly staff, always tempting me with different blends :) yesterday Columbian, today Brazil ! £4:20 with Oatmilk a little pricey but free WiFi, Loyalty Card, feels more relaxed here, nice chilled Italian piano music the other day, they'll heat up the toasted sandwiches which was nice, Wheelchair access. Toilet. Cakes n treats, soft drinks. Outside seating in the sun 🌞. Some beggars scan this area so keep personal items safe. 5*s

This Nero branch is small and cozy, delivering exactly what you'd expect. Seating can be a challenge due to its size, but it's one of the last coffee shops to close, which is convenient. Plus, it's dog-friendly, making it even more appealing.

Staff all having a nice chat, had to clear table before sitting down. All tables full of dirty cups etc. coffee nice but won’t bother again

Got a too good to go bag with just 3 croissants in it, what a joke. If you have nothing of the 10 pound value to give at the end of the day then just say so instead of wasting people's time and money.

Ordered through too good to go. Paid almost £3 for food worth £10...??? Well need to admit they have expensive pastry. Disappointed with value for money :-(

I appreciate that they serve drinks in real glass cups! I enjoyed my decaf latte.

This cafe nero really needs a refurb it is very tired. Staff were OK but not a very good selection of food. Coffee was good.

My partner has a dairy, soya and coconut allergy. We ordered coffee and they refused to give her oat milk free off charge as apparently soya is the ONLY allergen alternative. I can understand if oat milk is being ordered for taste preference but when ordered as the allergen alternative she can drink it is disgraceful to charge extra for something that is not her fault. Apparently this is company policy and cannot be overridden by anyone in-store. Very poor policy in my opinion, other vendors understand this issue and do not charge

I like coffee Nero, however, costumer service in Brighton opposite of Churchill square is bad. The table is dirty and I asked barista to clean it but he did not. Cake is not good. Overall, very bad experience.

Everything is amazing in that cafe. However, the service on some days, when there is only one barista, is not what is expected. Today, I stood in the queue to get my coffee for more than 20 minutes. The guy working there seems very overwhelmed and can't handle the job alone. Additionally, cleaning the tables also cannot be done with just one person in the cafe. So please consider hiring more people to get that job done.

They let dogs in, for which we are always very grateful! Long walks daily with a dog so we are frequently in bed of a drink and a snack - like many dog owners I expect. Well done. So few businesses do

I went in to have my breakfast and I was served quickly and nicely. The ambient is the best part, since it's very calm and chill. It's not a big place and that makes it cozy, and the classical music playing in the bar just makes it even better, and it's what I liked the most. Felt really comfortable. Might come back.

A bit flat on atmosphere...staff didn't listen properly to my order as she was too busy discussing her other job...had to correct her twice. Hot chocolate only warm....think we'll give Neros a miss in future

Always choose Nero. Most authentic of the chains in terms of "Italian" coffee and feel. Returning to coffee shops now restrictions eased and Nero def still the best imho.

food and drinks were good, but the place needed a thorough clean.

I went here yesterday and ordered a Caramel decaff latte and what the barista did was to get a sachet of decaff coffee and poured heated milk and that was it!... I am so used to decaff being made properly and so was surprised..it didn't taste the same...sad to think I paid the original price of the coffee....

Not the best experience the other day at this branch, with the staff a bit too solipsistic even for a coffee bar. To be fair to them it was shortly before closing but as an older bloke with a visible mobility problem (i.e. a red walking stick) accompanying my teenage daughter it would have been nice if they had bothered to inform us of this before we handed over £9 and struggled down the stairs to the back to sit down and then asking us abruptly to leave "cos we're closing." So thanks for the welcome, guys, the coffee was acceptable. Next time we're in the area we'll go to Wolfox though.

Cosy place. Variety of food options and some good vegan choices now. Atrium seating area towards the back; a good place to relax or catch up with friends over coffee.

What can I say? It's a Caffè Nero I guess I'm a little bias cos I love their coffe. Another great branch to visit.

caffe nero's was good as always, shame other vistors decided to sit right by me when the cafe was empty so we moved but that did not ruin my experience. love this neros as it best one in brighton with the best staff.

I turned up at 4:05pm on Sunday to collect an order and it was closed. The website and front of shop says it closes at half past

Very good and enjoyable coffee shop. Nice to relax to chill out with a coffee. Excellent range of hot and cold drinks. As well as pastries, toastie and rolls. High standards of clean tables and toilets. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere

This Cafe Nero (Bond Street) branch compared to the Nile Street branch is also very quiet as well during the early mornings like after 7am and it’s also good to grab a takeaway hot drink like a Latte or a Hot Chocolate and good enough if people want to head straight to work whilst grabbing a hot drink at the same time. It’s like a 10-15 mins walk from the college that I go to but it’s definitely worth drinking from at any Cafe Nero’s across the country. It’s also 10 mins walk from the Churchill Square Shopping Centre and not far from the seafront as well as a 20 mins walk to Brighton Station. For this Cafe Nero branch I would give this a solid 9 out of 10 and 5 stars because of how quiet it gets during the early mornings. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 I would recommend the Bond Street branch since it has a little bit more seating than the Nile Street branch in Central Brighton and near Hove Town Hall.

I was the only guy in the queue wearing a mask, the one barista on service was extremely slow (was waiting around 10 mins for 3 people ahead of me), overall disappointing

Second time at this Nero. It’s been a while so new face serving. Congratulations to management for hiring such good customer service staff. This is an experience I get in most Nero’s I’ve been in. The coffee and food selection is good too.

I was totally ignored by a member of staff and told to wait wile another member was finished dealing with a customer....and to make it worse the member that told me to wait served a customer that came in 2 mins after me. Walked out disgusted. Very poor customer service

Expensive drinks, £1.80 for a bottle of soft drink, £2.60+ for a tea/coffee. They do a lovely vegan mozerella and sun dried tomato toasted sandwich for £4. A separate knife was used for my vegan food but there seemed some confusion over it so check. Cleanliness is good, including the toilets. Toilets are downstairs so be warned if you're disabled. Comfy chairs, free internet, friendly staff. I found the queueing system a little confusing, staff wanting you at different places of the counter for different things. Overall, nice food, atmosphere. Nice to pop in but I'd visit somewhere else for a more filling and better value breakfast/lunch.

Coffee is great! Background music is even better. Trouble is there are not enough assistants to clear tables when busy - especially Saturdays

This is one of the better Neros. It's a comfortable and clean place with indoor and outdoor seating and a back room which is nice. I like the atmosphere of this branch. I always take my own cup and get double stamps instead of discount, which works out well. I recommend this one. The staff are charming here.

Tasty coffee in a clean and friendly environment.

Little bit squishy, but has a cosy and relaxed atmosphere.

Music was too loud and imposing. Jazz death! Broadband via the Cloud. Their wifi connection/router antenna need looking at as the connection sucks. Other people I know also said the same here. Friendly staff and a nice buzz from the team.

Great coffee, nice staff, both of which is rare in the UK. Prices are high, wich is the norm though.
