Caffè Nero in Tower Hamlets

Canary Wharf felt like another vibe. Early evening, lively shopping mall, tub station connected. It felt everything in one place… I felt Parking charges were a bit too much as we only spent 20mins yet had to pay £5 for it.. But, otherwise a perfect place to spend your weekend evenings..

I get my coffee here nearly every morning however today the customer service experience I had was so shocking that I needed to share what happened. The ginger/strawberry blonde lady working the morning shift of the date 22/01/25 was beyond rude to me after I kindly asked her if I could have an extra pump of salted caramel in my coffee as I could barely taste it in my drink due to one she originally used was running really low so I offered to have the normal caramel instead. Bare in mind I get this coffee nearly every day served by the rest of the staff there and never have any issues. After I asked her for this extra pump she then made a snarky remark saying “do you want the whole bottle” and looked at me and smiled in a sarcastic manor. After this I got my coffee and left. If your having a bad day please don’t take it out on your customers, I am paying for a service at the end of the day, a little bit of respect and kindness doesn’t go far.

Caffè Nero do the best coffee if the standard chain coffee shops. Since moving inside jubilee place it has stopped having much food but still sells good coffee and provides a few seats in the Mall to sit and watch the world go by. Some food but mainly pastries and such. Coffee quality still makes it worth a stop in preference to other in Jubilee Place though

My fav brand of coffee shops aent doing too well are they Sad 😔😔😓😓 They've literally downsized their branch in one of the busiest spots

Walked into Nero today in need of a caffeine hit was served by a very helpful young lady, as a partially cited man, she took care of all my needs and the coffee was delicious, would be sacroiliac to come to Canary Wharf and not come here

Ordered my 10th free coffee and received very poor service. A woman around 40 years old with dark hair was exceptionally rude. She began interrogating me about my loyalty card, asking where I got it and from which location. She even criticized the alignment of the stamps on the card, and she went as far as to warn me to be more careful next time. I’m thoroughly disappointed with the service, although the establishment itself is pleasant. I’ll make an effort to avoid her on my next visit.

The older photos are misleading, I believe Cafe Nero had a different unit and downsized. Some images show that you can dine in, however, when I visited the Canary Wharf branch in June/July 2023, some of the images were a mismatch to the actual seating available. This branch is equivalent to a Cafe Nero Express with only about 4 seats available with small tables

another great Nero! but this one sadly can't accept gift card and have been rejecting it for a while (few weeks to a month?) Otherwise a relatively good one. Also no scones and no crossiant in my 3 visits.

Quite small, friendly, with some seats and tables outside - although 'outside' is in Canary Wharf shopping mall :) No real cups, that was disappointing.

They used stale coffee to make my iced latte. It tasted disgusting. They didn’t even put ice. 0 effort from the barista.

A single espresso is half the amount of single espresso everywhere else.

This is just another Caffè Nero, but the staff here make this one better than all the rest. Apologies as I didn't catch your names but there was a man and woman working bother times I went in and they were great. If I find myself in the area again I would 100% walk the extra miles to go here in hope they were both serving!!

The manager and staff are always really nice so I am more inclined to go there when I feel some ice tea

I'm a regular! Previous shop had such a nice seating, this one is very limited (3 tables).

I really like Nero and prefer their coffee over other high street chains. However, the staff really do leave a lot to be desired and prefer to make you know they are doing you a favour opposed to offering a service. It’s a shame and also means you have variable quality drinks from a chain where that really shouldn’t be the case.

Update I've downgraded this from a 5 to a 3 since this Nero moved from the nice 'sit in' place to a 'takeaway only' unit a few places away from where it used to be. The coffee was great as usual but I like to sit down a take my time early morning so have found somewhere else I can do this.

Friendly services: There was a miscommunication regarding payment methods. This was dealt with professionally by the store manager (a very understanding and confident lady). Thank you! Comments on the new store layout: it no longer has sit in area within the store, and instead it has a few tables outside the store which is now takeaway-focused. Great for chats with friends/colleagues while watching people passing by. Might be a stretch for focused work. Also, only paper cups are provided in this store, so bring your reusable cup with you.

First time I've ever left a bad review on a site but felt I needed to share this. Staff who served me wasn't wearing a mask, was rude throughout the whole thing and then gave me a lukewarm coffee.

Spacious with many sockets so, you can work on things. The service is quick and it is located in a easily accessible place. Though, it was quite busy so wouldn't recommend staying for too long~ (:

Decent branch of this Italian espresso chain. Has a fairly wide selection of cold food (quiches, pasta) on display too. Friendly servers who, during busier queuing periods, come to you in the line to take your pre-orders. Has plentiful seating. My only issue would be that the taps for Cold Brew and Nitro Cold Brew are misleadingly lit up in the winter months, implying that the establishment is selling both drinks when in fact they only do so in the warmer months (understandably).

Not sure why the staff here always seems in a bad mood, or is just not interested at all. Coffee is just OK, but usually I manage to get a table here and work for a bit.

As usual the best italian coffee, here or everyplace you are, you'll enjoy a real italian flavour and pastries like if you were in Milan. You can also redeem points for a free coffee. Coffee if barely drinkable. Please change your beans. Its un bearable flavour. Its a majority opinion too not just me. It's time to stand up to self proclaimed "Italian coffee"

The place provides a nice sitting room. The food is just nice and efficient staff.

Large and recently refurbished Cafe Nero. It's part of the lower level (-1) Jubilee Place Shopping Complex, near the food court and is easily accessible from the jubilee line station or from the park above. This branch is frequently busy, however the staff normally have a good process to speed through orders, just beware on Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtimes as it gets busy due to the O2 Priority offer.

Clean and tidy coffee shop. Recently had a refit so looks very nice and fresh. Great coffee and cakes. Perfect for a catch up with friends or just on your lunch break. Can get very busy when they are doing the 02 coffee offer

Cozy chain coffee shop in the main eaterie area of Canary Wharf shopping centre. I visited on Christmas Eve and the employees were all very friendly, cheerful, and in the festive spirit. There's plenty of comfy seating both inside and 'outside' where you can watch all the shoppers go by. The coffee was lovely, and there was a large selection of cakes and snacks for those a bit peckish too!

Great coffee and ambiance, plenty of seats and comfy chairs; was renovated last year I think and still looks fresh. Only negative is it’s not clear which end you are supposed to queue from.

Great place to have a coffee and a snack. There are confertable sofas and chairs. It is also a good place to bring your laptop and do some work. There are power plugs available to charge your devices.

Great place to unwind at the weekend. Relaxed vibes, hardly any tourists, and lots of seats to choose from. I've been served by a different barista every time I've been and I've noticed that all seem friendly and have excellent customer service (unlike some other places in Canary Wharf). Oh and also, they have great coffee ☕ 👌

Free coffee on Tuesday and Wednesday on O2 priority. A nice excuse to have a nero on a busy workday afternoon.

Good service and coffee, tables always clean. Hard to get a seat though as full of people on laptops who drag out that one drink as with alot of places nowadays so tricky if you need a quick coffee and sit down.

We love Caffè Nero. But this branch is not nice. We ordered as usually caramel latte and it tasted so different. Tasted like with hazelnut syrup. We said that to lady behind the bar but she said it's fine. We are now sitting in your charing cross branch and its perfect as always. Really disappointed with coffe and service in your canary wharf branch.

Recently been renovated and it looks great. Plenty of seats and types to choose from. I’d say this Nero has about 8 key places laptop users/students could work from with accessible double charging sockets. Coffee is always good here as are some of the cakes - the savoury food is lacking. Nearly always good service, a bit slow to clear tables. I recommend the special Caramel Latte if you haven’t tried it already!
