Bartender didnt clean table with coffee from previous guests for over 30mins, not very pleasant also while ordering. Coffee was also bad

Totally awesome very good place to relax and study.

Absolutely awful service. The lady behind the bar did not understand what we wanted to order as her English was very limited. She then got quite annoyed and started serving other customers. Shocking!

Unprofessional. The tiramisu was all wet and the cakes were stale and destroyed on display and also I ate in doors and asked for a plate but there didn’t have any even though I could see a dirty pile of small plates in the background that hadn’t been washed and the store wasn’t even half full.

Caffa nero charing cross has good customer service also i bought the drinks on sunday evening that guys behind the bar to nice and very polite and they provide me good drinks i want to visit them again i am happy to go again. It was amazing experience. Thank you

bathrooms stench was very strong, and the bin looks like it hasn’t been changed all day. poo stains all down the toilet seat. all my friend asked was when the toilets are going to be cleaned and the man working went on a whole rant about how he’s only human, and how he can’t clean the bathroom constantly after customers which is understandable but occasionally checking to see if it usable isn’t too much of a tedious task. he said cleans it twice a day but i don’t think that’s true given the state of the bathroom. he was very passive aggressive and called the PAYING customers “these annoying customers” which i think is a weird thing to say when working in customer service… i payed to use that bathroom and left feeling disappointed and disrespected for asking a simple question of “when is your bathroom being cleaned”. cafe nero fix your employees. (sorry to attach this man’s face however, given his attitude i think it’s very much deserved) P.S he also said that many customers have approached him saying the same thing and this was his answer to them all??? very disrespectful. somebody has come to you with a concern that is YOUR job to fix and you dismiss them??? rude!!!!

One lady running the show alone with trainee barista only supporting. Super friendly and efficient.

Good coffee, service OK, cleanliness disgusting - coffee stained and dirty, walls and skirting boards. Only one toilet without a seat and needing a good clean - very unhygienic!!! Won't be going back!

A very busy area, so service was a bit slow but understandable. My order came out wrong after I said something the gentleman couldn't apologise enough and corrected my order. A few outdoor seats are available.

Upstairs rather cramped, but basement seating is huge. Loos 🚻 are downstairs. Universal delicious 😋 coffee. Neros reliably 👌 perfect.

Nice place, decent basement, food, and coffee as expected from Nero. Classic music doesn't work for me in the mornings 😴, a nice chill out tape would be better. ( ps: it wouldn't hurt red head to smile every once in a while and say, "You are welcome..." )

Quiet place with good coffee for breakfast in Soho. Reasonable price. Pretty good sandwiches and sweets! We went on the first day and already repeated all the mornings. Soho is quiet in the mornings and we had no trouble finding a place to sit in the venue.

Quite crowded as this is quite a small and cramped location - recommend that you walk two blocks west to the Caffe Nero on Frith street, much nicer and faster service

Got a coffee to go on the morning of the Chinese New Year parade, there was only one guy working and the queue was out the door. The guy working was a legend that morning, poor dude didn't stop once. Poor planning by management, but this guy was a hero! Got my coffee without missing the parade. Can't say the same for the queue out of the door behind me when I left

The Frappe latte tasted nice, though it was more like iced mocha rajmther than a frappe.

Worst chain coffee shop I've ever visited, staff absent or chatting, filthy dirty, cold paninis( not quite sure how you get a panini wrong) awful hot drinks, probably attributed to dirty coffee machines and the worst hot chocolate I've ever seen, walk past this one and find one somewhere else

There's plenty of seating downstairs, not sure why people prefer to sit upstairs. There's more space below street level.

Right next to Cambridge Circus on Charing Cross Road this Nero has a spacious basement seating area, a great place to meet and chat away from the business of the area. It's open late too. Toilets are on the ground floor where there is also some seating. There's no lift to the basement and a half spiral staircase down so not good for wheelchair users/buggys. Usual light food and cakes and hot and cold drinks. Including herbal teas.

Place is ok for a bit of a coffee pick me up. Toilet is fine but you need to wait a bit.

7:22pm today I came to cafe Nero and ordered one hot chocolate and a cappuccino, i actually changed my mind and wanted to change my order to a chai latte but the server was very rude and said that I couldn’t cause it’s already paid for, but I was happy to pa extra for it; but he completely ignored what I was saying and causally continued to work. I think his name was sadeek.

The place is always dirty and staff does not really care about people .

The general vibe of the place was quite nice However, the employee at the cashier was far and beyond hard working, we ordered our coffee with cream but it was finished and she insisted on making a new one even though her co-worker was a bit rude and told her not to do so in front of us. Thank you so much Miss Fun you are the kind of person that’ll make the customers come back to the place ❤️👍🏼

Worst experience. I am a tourist and is giving every cafe a fair chance but the staff was definitively using very unhygienic tool to make coffee and they messed up my order. When I asked them to change they didn’t care to listen.

Great little nook to enjoy a warm or cold beverage. Sometimes staff do not listen attentively to what is asked of them. I have also had a VERY milky hot choc (not enough powder put in) more than once, and when I’ve taken it back I was disbelieved and had to fight my case of a new one to be made. Just today I asked for an OAT latte, and fully watched the barista make it with cows milk. Luckily I saw the bottle of milk slushing and asked to confirm what he was using - which was indeed cows milk. Could’ve ruined my entire week if I wasn’t paying attention… Usually friendly staff, until you start asking for custom or half the ice and the get a little precious and pedantic. Sandwich selection is also poor at the best of times.

Nero used to be one of the places where you got proper mugs and glasses if you stay in. But now, it is back to paper, plastic and disposable.

Absolutly filthy. The toilet was disgusting , broken seat , pee all over the floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years 🤮. From what I could see from the counter the fridge doors and worktops all looked dirty . God help you if environmental health pay you a visit .

Staff too busy chatting to each other, while serving customers. Got my order wrong, twice. When I pointed this out, all I got was attitude. Their work space was cluttered and disordered. Won't be going back.

Sofas could do with a bit of a refurb

Respect to the one man (Asian lightly bearded guy, working pm on 1st May) working in a central London branch on a bank holiday. He was both very efficient and very polite, I dunno how he managed. They could've easily done with an extra staff member. Atmosphere is nice and chill for such a central location.

The baristas are unwelcoming and the coffee is not good. The security man is having to clear the tables because there’s only 2 people working in this busy central London location… Sort it out, Nero.

I use this cafe nero quite frequently due to it being a good study spot. However, one thing I cannot stand is the staff. Especially one barista (unsure of her name) who constantly has a rude, unwelcoming presence and snaps at customers. Multiple times she has told me and my friends to leave if we haven't bought anything - despite there being a cup in each of our hands. At this point I'm considering it to be harassment. I have also seen her be visibly rude to other people, telling them off for no apparent reason. Apart from her - this is a great place to go for some work and a coffee. Shame about the staff. There is also a lovely Eastern European woman in the morning who is so lovely to talk to and puts a lot of care into her service.

Habituée à caffé nero, je suis très déçue par celui là. J’arrive à 19h, le café fermant à 22h. On nous donne des gâteaux dans des emballages carton alors que nous mangions sur place, ce n’est clairement pas pratique. Nous ne pouvons pas nous installer en bas, la seule place restante étant sous la climatisation que nous avions demandé de baisser mais cela n’a pas été fait (il pleut dehors nous étions donc mouillé sous le froid soufflant) Les tables n’étaient également pas du tout débarrassées donc on a du tout mettre sur le côté. J’espère que ça changera car c’est très dommage

Shocked to order pork sausage rolls, that were then heated in a pannini toaster and yet still served FROZEN. The stressed staff struggled to speak and read English. Avoid.

Don’t stop here if you are in a rush & isn’t a clean place. I ordered scone with no butter or jam to offer (they don’t have any). Since there no butter I tried to swap with croissant but she declined. Oh well, the scone came out on plate with coffee mark on it. Nah .. I’ll go somewhere else!

Staff are always incompetent and cannot make drinks or deal when the coffee shop becomes even a little busy. So so rude and the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

A member of staff here tried to overcharge me and my friend by £5 and shouted at us when we (politely) said it seemed like too much. She then only took £1 off but we were honestly too scared to push it further. Also had the same experience as others here - just one very slow trainee, and this very rude staff member on a busy Sunday.

We visited at around 6:15 pm on a Tuesday and the tables were not clean, place was dirty and lack of service made it slow. I am not sure if it was because of the time or lack of resources (as only 1 person was seen on the counter) but did not enjoy it there. I had blueberry muffin and a coffee and both were decent.

Vine por Caffe nero el 27/12/2022 por la mañana. Pedí mi café y me cobraron 30 centavos más que el precio en el menú, entonces pedí un recibo, cuando recibí el recibo, le pregunté a la señora para qué era ese cargo adicional de 30 centavos y ella se negó a decirme, entonces el chico que trabaja con ella me dijo que sin querer me cobró un grano de café de otro país. Luego me dijo que me reembolsaría y me quitó el café de manera grosera, a lo que le dije que no había razón para ser grosera y ella me dijo "eres grosero" y "no entiendes inglés". Te reembolsaré y tomé mi café y el otro tipo trató de calmarla y me devolvió mi café afortunadamente. Vine todas las mañanas a tomar mi café aquí en mi gira por Londres, tenía la impresión equivocada de que, como turista, la gente intenta entenderte incluso si hablas mal inglés. Especialmente, no soy de los que dan una crítica negativa, pero me decepcionó mucho, el café es excelente pero el servicio hace que no valga la pena. No estoy seguro del nombre pero su pareja la llamó nicky

the barista was one of the rudest people i've ever encountered and they had the audacity to be complaining about bad reviews (and normally i respect that it's an annoying job to deal with customers all day but girlie was making me feel like i murdered her entire family and dog) and then the coffee was terrible so what was even the point of all that 😭😭😭

I went on coffee nero on friday 16/12 at 19:00 to get my daily Latte with whip cream as i usually and i am very pleased, the store is clean,nice,friendly environment,friendly staff but one employee in particular stood out to me.She was very nice idk her name but she is blonde and she's always kind to me and greet me and sometimes we will chat a bit as she's making my coffee and that makes me feel warm and that's the reason keep coming back,used to go to Costa but the staff were cold and unfriendly and the coffee nowhere near as good as Nero.

Very rude staff. The old eastern lady acted like crazy when I asked her to let me know what was inside the cups as they all looked the same. Please try to avoid this place.

Lugar bonito y céntrico. Cafe bueno. Servicio lamentable. Las camareras no se aclaraban entre ellas con las comandas y discutiendo entre ellas. Único lugar donde el trato ha sido bastante pésimo en nuestro viaje a Londres.

Was here for a short time. The basement layout was really nice and cozy. Seems like the perfect place to read a book or do work while you have your favourite drink or snack. Will visit again with work and stay for a longer time.

1 star is too generous. Poor, unprofessional conduct of staff. Sunday 27/11/22 staff tried to claim I hadn’t paid when even after showing them on my banking app that I clearly did, they still tried to make me pay again. I asked for a refund and to speak to the manager who eventually said I should be refunded. On a few occasions weekend staff have been arguing amongst themselves rather than providing any form of customer service . Clearly a toxic culture exists and needs a change of management and for staff to be re shuffled and/or dismissed.

Nice coffee but very rude service and messy toilet.

Very nice and cozy coffee shop, we go there a lot because it’s quite spacious downstairs, there are like 3 sofas, nice music playing, staff are also always polite and helpful, not to mention a good location.

Arrived at counter, staff stood there and stare at me, ordered a cappuccino, staff put in take away cup, request for eat in cup, staff pour everything in eat in cup, didn’t make a noise (or talk) during the whole process. The worse customer service ever! Love Nero so have to make this review so that the owner can be aware of what’s going on and make a change!

I didn't liked how the manager was with another worker and with the customers, she was rude with everyone especially with her partner work. I have to wait 15min for a drink and with rude actittude from the manager .

The female trainee barista on Sat 15/10 was extremely rude and served me like she was doing me a favour. On top of that the store like most Nero suffers from poor hygiene, tables are never cleaned and toilet is dirty or out of orden half of the time.

Normally a fan of Caffè Nero, and loyalty card user. But the staff culture in this branch is noteably poor. First I was told they had no china cups, despite seeing them on the shelf behind — and in use by other customers! Then I chose a specific slice of cake, but was told that one was frozen — when it was the exact same cake. When I asked for it to be corrected, she came back with the same slice as before – as if I couldn't tell ? ! A masterclass in zero star reviews.

Mal servicio, lugar sucio y pésimo café. No vayan o perderán su tiempo, su dinero y su buen día. Cualquier otra cafetería se los lleva por mucho. Señor propietario no permita que le estropeen su negocio. Estuve ahí el día 6 de Octubre de 2022. Es una lástima.

My favourite place for coffee, I was very lucky second on the queue, don't have to wait long and I'm serving with new trainee, I realised the senior(she) was talking with a friend by the table. When I turned around after I ordered my drinks that was 6 people queueing behind me, and she not even care. I felt sorry for the trainee. Hope they can improve the service.

We went to Caffe Nero on Charing Cross Road for coffee. Serice was slow but the coffee was good. Large area with seating in the basement.

Why does a restaurant or shop accept an online order when they do not have it? That was what happened to me, and they were willing to make another drink but not worth what I had ordered (less). The customer service I received through all this was ok, the gent (team member in red uniform) was nice but the female barista hmmm.

Can be quiet or crowded depending on when you visit. Good selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches etc as well as a wide range of drinks. Good coffee and nice size cups.

Handy little Caffe Nero that incredibly convenient for theatres especially the Palace, Prince Edward and Phoenix theatres.

Stopped by for a cold drink on a hot day and they didn’t have any ice. The staff there also weren’t attentive at all- instead of greeting their customers, they were busy entertaining each other before starting to make drinks.

Take away coffee was way too hot. Customer service is poor at best, took 3 minutes to finish chatting with colleagues to serve the customer.

Even though it's a chain Coffee place, this location was superb. Super service, being from America coffee and cream is a Americano white in UK, I was educated without feeling like an idiot. Great pastries, great service oh and great coffee.
