Caffe Nero in City of London, Westminster

We went to grab a pistachio latte here early morning, twice, and both times we had an amazing time. The staff was friendly, polite, smiling and the time and made our quick visit so worthy. Coffees were fantastic and we will be back to this location on our next London trip. Thank you

Saw several Caffe Nero in our recent visit to London. We were staying at Apex city of London Hotel and went to the nearest outlet near Frenchurch Street Station, on a Wednesday morning in January 2023. Is a nice cafe with pleasant environment and decor and a good view of outside streets and buildings. Coffee and snacks were good . A good location to have a quick meal and move on with easy access to the tubes.

Came here yesterday as I was early for a business meeting. On entering I realised there was a queue and since I needed to use the loo quickly first, I thought I'd do that before ordering my latte. Toilets were locked and 'customers only' so catching a staff member's attention I asked if he could open them. Initially he completely ignored me and walked right past. I thought perhaps he hadn't heard me so I asked him again and he grunted at me that they were for customer use only. I explained I was going to order a latte to which he said 'customers only'. Honestly, it felt like I was talking a foreign language and this miserable guy was acting like the key to the toilet was the key to the magical kingdom or the one ring that rules them all. After a bit of a back and fourth and me asking and explaining a couple more times he reluctantly handed over the key. Once I'd finished I handed the key back and he brusquely said 'YOU ARE WELCOME' at me. I duly ordered my latte where he then said that as I had used the toilet I would HAVE to have my coffee inside, not takeaway as those are the rules. I mean, this guy is on quite the power trip here. I was going to eat inside anyway, but I'm not sure there's a rule about not taking your drink away if you've used the loo. Would not return. Drank my latte as quickly as humanely possible without burning the roof of my mouth and got the hell out of there.

Me gusta este café. El café es confiablemente bueno y el ambiente es agradable. ¡Caffe Nero es bastante confiable, y eso no es algo malo en absoluto!

Franchement pas mal pour une formule somme toute pas très chère. La nourriture est bonne , de l’eau à disposition. Les salades de fruits sont bonnes . Le café bof ! La salle est jolie mais pas très propre.

Popped in here after visiting a recruitment agency close by. I ordererd two melt sandwhiches and two drinks and a few muffins. The service was standard freindly, the muffin was a bit dry but I was hungry and could not be bothererd to get up and complain. Latte was a little stronger then usual but I got hot milk to rectify that.

The staff are so miserable in this branch. What happened to service with a smile? I used to visit here every day but not even a glance of acknowledgement. One of the reasons I pay £2.80 for a coffee is for the ambience of the store. Somewhere to sit and relax. Not here to listen to staff throwing dirty cups and plates into a washing up bowl with aggression. Or rude comments when you try to use a gift card. Give your staff some training or get them to smile once in a while.

We stopped by here every morning before we explored the city. We felt it was just a nice way to start our day and they served amazing coffee.

I was in advance for an appointment, so I decided to stop by this Caffè Nero just for a drink and bite to eat. Quite well located (and as I thought it would be difficult to have something bad, being used to that chain), I presumed this was not a bad choice. I could not be more in the wrong. I have never been so flabbergasted by such a bad service in a Café from the chain. The two waitresses did not greet me, were not polite, reacted like I was disturbing them in their chat. Yes, they were discussing quite loudly and seemed more interested by their stories and jokes than by their clients. They were talking in Italian quite loud and were noisy. As you can understand, the service was really not enjoyable. I bought a slice of cake and an iced coffee. The coffee did not look at all like the picture I ordered, and it was disgusting. The cake was dry and clearly not from the day. Some clients asked for the toilets, and the waitresses, who did not even respond to the question at first, answered quite rudely to them saying "the toilets are not open, I said not open". I will keep buying my daily takeaway coffees at Caffé Nero but surely not this one. These two persons were irrespecutful and disappointing. They should not work in front of customers if they don't like it and can't behave properly.
