Caffe Nero in Croydon

Nice staff. Cosy. But the music is always TOO LOUD these days in the mornings. Very distracting and annoying even if some of the music is good. A mood killer if the the music is in a minor key! Would be much better if the music was background and ambient rather than foreground and intrusive ! However, head office have told staff that it has to be this loud regardless !

Great staff. Cosy. But the music is always TOO LOUD in the mornings. ( fine later in the day). People then talk more loudly and the whole environment gets loud. Worse still is you can't block out the music if it is something you don't like as it is foregroud rather background.

Coffee half way between cold and lukewarm for takeaway was not nice was first time visit that nero usually go to one at East Croydon Station never a problem there

Relaxing place for a quiet coffee, or somewhere for a sanwich or pastry. A choice of dining height tables or comfy chairs (albeit some are a bit worn) with coffee tables.

Never the most appealing chain but numerous filthy uncleared tables whilst young member of staff was just browsing her phone. And shrug of shoulders as we left saying the same and unable to order. What a horrible place

Friday morning, went for a coffee before taking the train to go to work and this lady preparing the coffees absolutely ruined my mood. I ordered a large americano not too hot, in a very rude way she starts asking questions on how I want my americano which if I didn’t mentioned anything you can guess it’s just coffee and water. She then give me a medium and says I only paid for that. I paid with a QR code voucher from work with which you can choose between medium or large. She then takes my coffee with a very bad attitude and says out loud, you only paid for medium but I will change it! I really don’t know what’s going on with her but she definitely made a negative impact in how I started my day. I could even see her 2 colleagues shocked of her attitude. Would I come back to this coffee shop? Absolutely not! Nero please make yourself a favor and look out for nicer people, there is lots in this world. Thank you

I went there to grab a Large Cappuccino on my way to an appointment. They made the coffee and went out. When I took my first sip then I realised that the milk has not been frothed properly and it was not their usual standard. I could not comeback straightaway as I was getting late for my appointment, but after the meeting I went back to the shop and complained about my coffee. The lady did not know how to handle complains so he asked her supervisor who said if the coffee was not nice then why did you drink it and I told him that I was getting late for my meeting and could not comeback straightaway but I have come to you now to give you some feedback but the supervisor kept saying the same thing again and again that why did I drink the coffee if it was not good, not understanding that I needed my coffee shot before the meeting that was I drank it no matter how bad it was. Anyways, I would suggest to check your drinks before you leave the shop otherwise you will end up wasting time and money like me.

First time in Croydon. First time in this branch ( I’m a daily regular at Cafe Nero Riverside Oracle Reading ). Enjoyed our drinks and fresh pain au pain au raisin and croissant Staff are good

Classico posto per fare colazione, ben fortino e staff ok. La classica catena di Caffè Nero che comunque tiene qualità altissima. prezzo direi 5/6£ a testa per una colazione come si deve

Caffe Nero located near Croydon East railways station and so quite crowded. Anyway, there is a good turn over and so it is possible to find some free seats. Standard quality of caoffe as in others Caffe Nero.

Some Sunday mornings, after the service at the local church, I stroll down to this delightful coffee shop for a read and a delicious coffee - and sometimes a pastry. This is a tradition started years ago when I wheeled my dear late disabled daughter, Caroline (who lived with me and died in my arms from heart failure last year), down here . She loved visiting this oasis and I maintain the tradition. The staff are always welcoming, the superb background music is never intrusive and it's a real haven from the noise and bustle of Croydon.

Had a coffee in here and managed to sit down and enjoy it while sitting on a comfy sofa at the back of the coffee house. Nice little Cappuccino experience.

The Christmas special Salted Caramel Latte was tasty. Little bit overpriced but it did its job first thing in the morning.

It's remarkable how much variation there can be in outlets of national chains. Nero coffee is good, both espresso and flat white, though any food you get there is formulaic, where the flavour is generally masked by mayonnaise. This branch is quite dark, though that tends to be the chain theme. But the music often spoils any chance of a decent conversation and the décor and furniture are a bit shabby. When the front door is opened, cigarette smoke wafts in, so head for the back of the shop. It's darker there but at least you can breathe. Round the corner in Dingwall Street is a first-rate independent café, Smoothbean, where the tea, coffee and food are all better and the atmosphere friendlier. No disrespect to Nero, but they can't compete.

Often go to Cafe Nero on the way to East Croydon Station. Staff are friendly, coffee is good and it is nice place to sit.

São ótimas opções para lanches rápidos, gostosos e por um bom preço! Recomendo. Comprei pra viagem e tem bom atendimento.

I am not a coffee lover, but their "flat white" was exceptional. very smooth. Nice selection of pastries. and they have a reward plan...buy 10 cups, get one free!
