Since my last visit no sweeteners they burnt the sandwich I ordered had to cook another pretty useless staff

You had cheese and chilli tomato in stock again, so I had one.

This is our go to place for coffee, sandwich or cake. Staff are really friendly. Food tasty and the drinks are the best. Do not go past Cafe Nero

Milkshake undrinkable. Asked to change but staff insisted on making another. Equally dreadful. How can you get milkshake wrong😕

It's good that they have a portable ramp.

Window ledges covered in dead fly's, floors dirty and damaged. The branch needs closing and refurbishment. Wouldn't recommend.

Nice music but not a particularly cosy branch of Nero. Big electric doors you would normally see in a supermarket. Cafe layout is long and rectangular. Suggest a re-design or move of premises. Floor needs a deep clean. Many dogs. Staff on top of things though, but as with most Neros, insufficient numbers.

Cafe Nero was dirty. Filthy floors, tables and toilets despite having 5 from environmental health. Won’t be going back ever!

Ilkley branch. Lovely helpful staff making sure I had a seat and watched my child whilst I got a drink so I had a seat, and gave her a own and paper whilst waiting. Made all the difference.

OUR DOG'S FAVOURITE CAFE IN ILKLEY! 🐾🐾 Our little pug Bella loves Ilkley's Caffe Nero! The staff always make her welcome and prepare her a yummy 'puppuccino' whipped cream treat 😋. She often meets her doggy friends there (so many nice boys in Ilkley! 😍) and her human mum and dad chill out after a 3-mile morning walk with Bella along the nearby river Wharfe. Bella works part-time as a therapy dog in nearby schools and care homes, and these relaxing Saturdays are wonderful for recharging her batteries. Paw-sitively perfect! 😁

Great coffee shop. Everytime I visit, luke is friendly and knows his knowledge of coffee. Makes amazing flatwhite patterns. Thank you. I will be visiting again.

Lovely dog friendly coffee chain which sets it apart from places like Costa. Good strong coffee and tasty treats!

We have a coffee hear most days, it's wonderful how we can bring our little dashhound with us, she won't let us walk past she pulls to come inside 🐾🐾❤️❤️

Great place for a coffee with the dog. Often busy. The staff try and keep up, but making complicated coffees takes time and leads to a queue. Try going outside peak times

We love Cafe Nero and this was no exception . We both had Cappuccino, which was very nice and the apricot danish were really lovely . There was one young man behind the counter and he did a Stirling job as it was very busy . All the food looked tempting .

Dog friendly and decent coffee. Also, nice cinnamon swirls. Plenty of comfy seats in addition to normal café tables and chairs. Very busy in the rain when we went, but service was still quick. We'll be back again soon.

The staff and environment here are wonderful, you come for the coffee but stay for the people. Always a pleasant trip here, especially Luke who is coffee maestro and incredibly wonderful person to boot!

Looked really tired with wood and furniture that is past its best. Toilets are not in great shape. Coffee was ok but upselling is a thing here.

I like this cafe Nero but slow service eventhough quiet and not very clean. But don't let this stop you from getting a takeout coffee or toastie

I visit Ilkley Nero a lot, it’s increasingly disappointing, the male staff are fab and friendly, the female staff bordering on sullen, several times my coffee hasn’t been up to par, chocolate when I said no thanks, latte when I’ve asked for Cappuccino, I visit the Leeds Nero and it’s by far a better experience, furthermore the toilet facilities are beyond disgusting, filthy whatever time of day

This place is filthy! The company should be ashamed. Dirty tables, seating, along walls behind the counter and the toilets need a deep clean. There is never, ever an excuse particularly at a food venue. Terrible!

First time I've tried and really enjoyed with my partner' and the best was you allowed us in with our dogs and not turned away when it was chucking it down with rain like Costa did. They lost a valued customer and you guys gained one. Very friendly staff too thanks again.

We called for coffee and a note on the till said as short staffed were serving in paper cups this was the case a couple month ago when we called. We were happy to as we have a dog. The thing I noticed was it was not very busy most tables were full of trays with coffee cups on them. One of the staff went off to staff room with a drink and food it was only early . The other person took trays away but failed to clean tables. The staff are scruffy and the toilets are not clean. We will not be calling again.

We went for a coffee and a snack and everything was good. I enjoyed my espresso and toastie and my wife enjoyed her hot chocolate and croissant. The service was quick and friendly. There was a pleasant buzz but it wasn't too busy. Best of all, it turns out that you are allowed to take your dog (which we hadn't known so ours stayed at home even though she had wanted to come) and we met a lovely friendly labrador. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.

A team of customer centric guys who deliver excellent service with a smile, extremely polite and kind and friendly, a cup of joy with every cup of coffee, they work very hard and put immense effort in. I've marked down my review today for a specific reason and that is, according to a notice in the till, staff shortages mean all drinks are being served in take away cups. Had I seen that before I ordered, I would have walked away, looking how few customers they have compared to those they usually have, others have done the same.

Been last Sunday. Despite being understaffed (there was a sign apologising for longer waiting times) the two guys served us with a smile and there was a nice atmosphere. The coffees were also good

Good coffee, staff friendly but not been cleaned for a long time. Tables and floor filthy but also chairs haven’t been wiped down and the woodwork surround you can see the layers of dust. Baby change has also never seen a cleaner.

Nice cafe and is good for value and is child friendly and has a fabulous selection of different drinks and cakes and pastries and also they sell paninis and sandwiches but the tables can get a bit dirty

Great food and coffee, the staff member was fantastic but I had to deduct a star as the whole place seemed a bit stark and cold (even though it was quite busy). The furniture just seemed a bit uninviting and the tables were tiny and weren't big enough for 4 coffees and food.

They said they were short of staff and couldn't serve in ceramic cups. 2 thirds of the cafe was closed down.

It's getting very shabby. Toilets too are a disgrace.staff are lovely but cleaniness not so good gone down a star.

Place to have breakfast at a good price and have a good coffee or tea. In the afternoons enjoy a drink or eat a delicious dessert. They are all over England. Lugar para desayunar a buen precio y tomar un buen café o tea. En las tardes deleitarse con alguna bebida o comer un delicioso postre. Los hay en toda Inglaterra.

Decent enough cafe. Open til 5pm on a Sunday which is a lifesaver when everywhere else is closed. Update July 2022 - same as.... you know what you are getting but they are all identical.

Great coffee shop located in the heart of Ilkley with an awesome team of baristas who are always super welcoming and happy to serve my coffee just how I like it.

It was OK the seating seemed very shabby some would say fashionable but I think it looks dirty.Short staffed so drinks were served in takeaway cups which doesn't reflect in the price. The girl behind the counter was very pleasant.

Service was great however the whole place looked like it needed a good clean. Decor and flooring well worn and chairs dated too. Dust all over the sides ans shelves in seating area. Needs sorting really.

Staff are great . . but boy does the place need a clean. Filthy windows, scruffy floor, dirty chairs, scratched decor. When there are so many nice clean cafes in Ilkley, Cafe Nero really needs to do something about this . . it can’t be good for business to project such a dirty uncaring image.

It is such a shame that this Cafe Nero is so neglected. There are over 20 cafes in ILKLEY and this one is the scruffiest, dirtiest and most tired of them all. The floor is disgusting, as are the windows! They are never cleaned! Fortunately we like the staff and get Vitality discount or I wouldn’t come here ever.

It's such a relaxing,friendly place,even when busy. My dog loves it there&goes to sleep after been given a bowl of water.The staff are really attentive.Shout out to Jonny&the coffee&cakes are great😊

Nothing special, I was in café Nero in a lots of places and so far that one is on last place, staff is tired and overwhelming (feel sorry for them) shop remember better times and I had a chai latte a few times , that was horrible, no skills to make a good one. Expensive and poor quality

Whilst in Caffe Nero today I was made to cry by the assistant manager because I accidently knocked over some drinking water that was on the floor for dogs to consume. As I apologised I was ignored but it was clear I had been heard. I offered to clean up the water I was made to feel so bad. The customer behind me in the que observed the event and told the assistant manager the way he looked at me whilst I was apologising was awful. The assistant manager asked me why I was so offended. Once he saw I was crying he offered me a free coffee which I declined!!!

I visit here regularly for my coffee. The staff have done well to keep things going through Covid but this cafe is crying out for some attention. It isn’t clean! The toilets are particularly in need of a thorough and deep clean. Great that you pay attention to the queue but can someone please come in with some tools and cleaning products? Better still a thorough refurb? Ilkley folks like to support the independent cafes so Nero has to do something to keep attracting custom or people will vote with their feet. I opt for takeaways rather than sitting in!

Could do with a lick of paint ,and the tables don't get cleaned should be cleaned properly, expensive for a small cake , the staff could be more friendly as well . Should employ more staff and show them how to clean properly and smile when taking your money .

Staff are friendly, they seem over worked and understaffed. I dont see how they can serve and clean, especially when there are big queues. I feel sorry for them. The young lady did come to clean my table after I asked, but i had to sit waiting with a tiny baby surrounded by dirt. Caffe Nero should have more staff on for cleaning as the place is so unhygenic, it made me feel sick. Also there was dust and cobwebs everywhere, Really disappointing to see, especially when lots if nasties are going about. I have messaged head office but haven't had a reply.

disgusting cleanliness (seriously, who is signing off that toilet sheet!), paperwork spralled all over coffee bar, the place looks like it hasn't been wiped down for a month. staff don't clean tables, just take cups. coffee was lukewarm. won't be going back, should of gone to Costa next door.

I love Caffè Nero but the Ilkley shop is by far my favourite. The staff here are so warm and welcoming and it has such a calm and relaxed environment.

Went in to Nero today, 12 September, and ordered a vegan puff pastry and coffee. The lovely barista asked if I needed a milk substitute and I had totally forgotten to ask. He also asked If I wanted the table to be cleaned before sitting on it. Thank you for brightening my day!

My friend and I went for lunch here. It was very disappointing, I do normally go to a Cafe Nero fairly locally to where I live and am normally satisfied with rhe coffee etc, however this one in Ilkley was really disappointing, the tables were really dirty and the place looked generally grubby. We ordered paninis, mine was a ham and cheese one, was greasy and pretty tasteless. The coffee was fine, the service wasn't bad but will not be returning in a hurry, poor standards,.

Ordered 2 Americano coffee was full to the brim, no chance of getting any milk in at all, really strong too, I like strong coffee but this one was really strong. Really disappointed

We visited the Ilkley branch on 25th June 2021. What a disappointment. When we arrived there was only one staff member attending to customers and she was clearly working hard and doing her best. She was also having to contend with a broken down dishwasher. Consequently, tables were not being cleared and sanitised and we had to clear and clean a table ourselves. We also saw another customer doing the same thing. In general, after looking round, the whole place is dirty. The floor needs cleaning and the backs of the chairs are dirty. Door handles and touch points on doors are dirty. My wife told me that the toilet was dirty and the flush wasn't working. Eventually, a second staff member appeared carrying a large crate of disposable cups, presumably to compensate for the faulty dishwasher. Still, no tables were cleared or cleaned. We have a loyalty card for Caffe Nero but we wont be using it here again. We'll also be looking more carefully at other branches too.

Had to clean down the chairs to sit after ordering our drinks. Tables were dirty as well. In these covid times, everything should be spotless, never mind the fact that this is an eating/drinking establishment, so should be spotless anyway. Toilets too were appalling, dirty wet floor and dust/dirt on surfaces, which show they haven't been cleaned off a while. Only good thing was the coffee, strong and creamy. However, had we have found our table first, we would not have stayed!

Nice & engaging staff , damn good coffe and great selection of buns etc etc plus the indoor area was nice & clean. No hesitation in recommending Cafe Nero.
