Caffe Nero in Tonbridge and Malling

I have visited this particular café in the chain several times. Their playlist is relaxing, the staff are friendly and the service is great but they always have the air conditioning on a setting that makes the café quite cold. The staff are moving about and so are warm but they need to remember that their customers are sitting still, and eating and drinking in a cold room makes the experience a little less pleasurable. So don't forget to bring a jumper when you visit the Tonbridge café.

Quick service and better ambience than a lot of other chain coffee shops .I also recommend getting the membership card so you can get your 10th coffee free!

Served by a trainee Barista. Which is fair enough, everyone has to learn. Service took a very long time as during making the drinks the Barista decided to come round my side of the counter and hug her friend and dog. Perhaps best to do this after they had finished serving me

Although the staff were friendly enough, the coffee was only average. What was the worst aspect though was that the tables were not cleared or cleaned after the occupants had left. I even saw one customer clearing the tables himself before sitting down with his coffee. I could understand it if they were understaffed and busy but there was sufficient staff and they wern't overly busy. The only advantage is that we could sit down with our dog.

Ordered an iced vanilla latte with half a pump of vanilla. The lady then proceeded to approve my order then put 3 pumps of vanilla in ! She did it right in front of my face as welll. The only good thing about this place is the blt sandwiches and the fact that you get your 10th coffee free. Next time I’ll be going to Costa

Dirty filthy seating area. Toilets are a disgrace. Staff are just an absolute waste of time and can't even make a coffee correctly. Worst cafe nero I've ever been too should be closed down.

Disappointing, I used to like Café Nero, but it has changed, not only in Tonbridge but also elsewhere. In the past they had friendly and attentive staff, mostly from European countries most of them have left since the Brexit referendum. There are still a few nice people working there, but some of those who replaced them make you not feel welcome, and they serve you as if they would do you a big favour. Clean tables have always been a problem, but now even more. Most of the time there is rubbish from previous guests on the table, and even after you sat down with your café it would take a while until the table is cleared and cleaned. Drinks are now served in paper cups, which make an average tasting café tasting even worse. Pastries’ are OK but the rest of the food and cakes are below average. Overpriced for what it is.

Living locally, I'll usually pop in on a Sunday afternoon for a coffee and a catch up on some paper work. Always a busy store, but the staff are great. The tables ARE clear and clean! (unlike some other chain coffee stores) Good value, being around £3 for a large coffee. Comfortable seating and a nice atmosphere. (I am yet to try the sweet treats!!)

I have been starting my working day with a coffee at Nero in Tonbridge High Street for several years. Great coffee and the staff have always been great. Those that have moved on always say hello when I bump into them. I’m a happy customer.

I really like the coffee in Caffè Nero but most times I go into the Tonbridge cafe I’m given a dirty spoon and today I had to return the second spoon they gave me because this was also dirty. They did not say sorry or we will look into this! They just looked at me! CLEAN YOUR DISHWASHER! Also the toilets really need updating and also look shabby. Will be changing my choice of coffee shop sadly.

I usually pop in once a week for a coffee, the staff are lovely, the atmosphere is nice & the coffee is great

Pity all the vacant tables had dirty crockery on arrival, however, they were quite busy and the things we put aside were taken whilst there.

I quite often pop in for a cappuccino on my lunch break, staff are always friendly & helpful, it's always very clean & tidy & the atmosphere is very relaxed

Currently sitting in Neros with a large mocha. Honestly it's the best mocha I have had. Why have I not had this before. At the time of my order there was just 1 person serving so had to wait a little bit, but it looks like just 2 staff are on. Both doing a great job! The cafe is all clear, clean and tidy. They were both very polite and helpful. Over all it's a nice coffee shop and a good experience I may have to pick up a loyalty card

I've been coming here since it opened years ago. It really needs some work now. It also needs a really good, deep clean. I think they need more staff- the wait time is long, the tables are often not wiped, the floors and bathrooms are really dirty. On my last visit there they had very few pastries left and said there weren't any more, but 20 minutes later bough out a whole fresh tray. The plates given for our food had old food and sticky stuff on them. On a plus side, they do allow dogs which is really one of the reasons why I still go, as so few places in Tonbridge do.

We go here most weekends, best tea of all of the many coffee shops in town, good muffins and frappes for the kids. Service prompt and we like the loyalty card system. Paninis also good when we need something more substantial. Nice to see the same staff, some for several years, too.

Cafe was clean and really enjoyed the excellent coffee and good quality fresh croissants with lovely jam.

I love this place for their hot chocolate. Professional staff and nice cafe atmosphere if you can find a seat!

Good coffee as you would expect from a Nero's Nice feel to the shop too. Only downsides were the tables were not wiped awfully well,and the toilets weren't the best.

Very much as you would expect with good coffee and delicious Pain au Raisin but the place looks tired which was not helped by a muddy floor with water puddles. Health and safety guys !!

Very friendly and efficient barista and the coffee, as always with Cafe Nero, full of aroma and flavour. Tables were all clean and free of dirty cups, etc.

Well where else would I go for a decent cup of coffee?!! Apart from loving Nero's coffee, I also find the staff very pleasant and helpful. You are always made to feel like a friend, maybe it's because I visit regularly!! So if you want a great cup of coffee and a friendly welcome pop into Nero's.

A family-friendly busy place to meet friends and sit over a drink. The cakes are lovely. Free newspapers to browse. Disabled access. My only grimmace is that the staff are slow to clear the tables often leaving them for customers to clear.

I have a soya cappuccino and some places struggle to get the coffee to soya ratio right, Nero's always get it spot on.

This place is to overpriced the coffee is horrible staff are really rude and unfriendly the place was dirty especially the toilets overall not worth visiting

Very good, fast and friendly service and lovely coffee. Would recommend a visit. The coffee shop is always busy and although we only had drinks today the food did look very tempting!

the service is absolutely fabulous, they are amazing staff, the coffee is also so nice, I couldn’t recommend better place in Tonbridge.

David answered phone at 7.15 am Sunday morning. I placed an order to collect at 7.30 am promptly in order to collect 7.40 am train. friendly and very efficient service which enabled a 50th birthday treat to start off in an excellent way with delicious hot coffees. first class and helpful service!

What can you say about chain of coffee shop just fancy looking shop.bland coffee too over price and terrible service always. Can do with better seating too old and damaged.

Décoration soft avec fauteuils en cuir et paquet de bois qui rendent l'atmosphère chaleureuse. Les serveurs sont sympathiques. Le thé et le café sont bons mais le double expresso a un goût de trop peu... il n'y a pratiquement rien dans la tasse ! Les muffins aux myrtilles ne sont pas trop lourds ni trop sucrés. Endroit idéal pour faire une pause et se réchauffer autour d'une boisson chaude.

Popped in as I had time to kill. Comfy, the staff are friendly and attentive. A bit pricey, but what do you expect these days? There is plenty of room with different areas to sit with varying types of seating. Very soft easy listening music playing and the free wifi is a bonus if on your own.

Nice warm cafe to sit in during the winter! Lovely hot chocolates with cream and particularly like their hot food as well!
