Caffe Nero in Middlesbrough

This is a pleasant cafe with a lovely intimate atmosphere. The coffee was perfect and I had an interesting sticky toffee pudding cheesecake. The staff were okay. My only moan would be that the toilets were locked with code locks and we weren’t given a receipt with the code on. There was a toilet sign, but nobody managed to get in there.

Went into town today as shop was going to said opened at 10 am on Sunday but it didn’t so decided to pass time and look for a cafe that was open,the only one open was here as others normal time on a Sunday,went in and was about 20 in and it was only just after 10 ,two serving man and a women who where very busy and good at job and soon as me and the wife went in there was 10 people behind us in que so very popular ,ordered and sat down in comfy seating and had delicious cake and lovely hot drinks,place was clean and plenty of seating at back ,this place is winning the battle as only cafe open and lots of people calling here before work or just social like we were ,i have been past before but never been in probably the only one i Havent but will deffo call again.well done staff and caffe Nero

We came to Caffè Nero just after seeing the over-crowded and scruffy Costa coffee just up the road, and it was like entering a calm oasis in comparison. Nice service, roomy and clean with excellent coffees in a relaxing atmosphere. Just what I expect from Caffè Nero.

I love it when I can buy the rocky road here! but not very often available. I like that there is a water station (water jug with cups) so you can just help yourself to hydrate. Staff always friendly and usually not too much of a queue. Seating can be tight however, especially for my mum who is in a wheelchair, this usually requires some careful maneuvering. The front doors require someone to hold the door for her, so she only visits when I am along to assist. There is one toilet, which is generally pretty clean. The cafe has always been clean when we have visited.

Popped in on the off chance that we were passing, we have been in before.. Infact the wife has the app for collecting coffees. Massive choice in coffees. Never saw the iced drinks before which was a bonus, soya milk no extra cost. Wifi is spot on, perfect place to pop for a cuppa and relax. Staff great and Welcoming.

Best coffee in Middlesbrough. People mention the ‘foreign looking customers ‘ putting them off but to me it means that the coffee must be good. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

I don’t know many cafes in Middlesbrough that have as many foreign customers who sit outside this cafe all day.some look quiet dodgy but however got a seat not the comfiest though,food and drink ok but not very bright light inside but staff seem ok as rush started dinnertime,maybe a one off for me here as didn’t feel that comfortable in there surroundings.

the place is busy and the staff do a great job, I am not really a coffee drinker but I do like it here, I prefer to drink inside as I do not like those who sit outside as the tend to be oggerling young girls, inside is totally different, only issue, wish they had enough staff to clear tables faster

Called in whilst waiting for a train . Packed out on a Sunday teatime which tells you something. As usual great coffee (the best of all the chains) and excellent chicken and bacon toastie. Both the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Often pop in here for a coffee whilst shopping in town. Love their small cappuccino just the right amount for me. Lovely creamy coffee. Staff friendly. very clean coffee house.

Visited Caffe Nero today and since on my last visit the standards have dropped from a 4/5 to a 3/5. The reason why standards have dropped on today's visit is that they was one staff member doing the coffee and one staff on they break. The staff who was doing the coffee who was serving the person in front of me should of looked for the jam themselves instead of getting the other staff member who was on they break to do it. Since the staff got the customer another item should of not slammed the foot item on the plate. By the time they served me he should waiting until I finished putting my coffee order through instead of cutting me off. On my next visit to this store I hope that the standards go back up to a 4/5 or 5/5 but I do wish that both staff members worked together instead of leaving one of them sorting out the queue , making the coffee's and putting the orders through at the tills that is also letting the standards down on this visit today.

I’m regular in here drinking coffee majority of the days people watching I have collected a lot of free coffee over the last many years of going ha!

Visit this coffee shop from time to time on a rare occasion. The staff in here are freindly and polite and they make the coffee the way you want it. The store is kept clean the staff make sure that there clean up the tables where customers who have left . My over all view is that I would recommend that you visit this caffe Nero .

Popped in for a coffee & a tea, nice that they have soya milk for me (it's getting better to find cafes that cater for lactose or milk allergies). Dared to have a slice of lemon drizzle cake, very nice but will see if the ingredients affect me later. Service was excellent & very polite.

We love our coffee from here, never disappoints. Always friendly with a smile. Lovely and clean and outside seating.

Love the coffee here especially the cappuccinos. If the coffee is too strong you can ask for only one shot of coffee. There is always free iced water for all customers. Staff very chatty and friendly. Cafe always clean and tidy.

After a bit of a shop around Middlesbrough, we were up for a cuppa and dropped in here. Service was efficient and decent prices (also has a loyalty card which is worth getting). The cappuccino was really good and hot whilst my wife latte was good and just at the right temperature. Was not over busy and easy enough to get a table.

Estoy seguro de que te dan un extra shot de café en el Caffe Nero, el café siempre es precioso y fuerte y mucho más fuerte que en otros lugares similares, café. Es agradable y tranquila, sin ruidos de moler o ruidoso, perfecto para una parada para tomar café y comer un bocado.

Después de un poco de principios de compras de navidad, mi esposa y yo nos detuvimos aquí para descansar un poco antes de que se reinician los comerciales. El té gris era excelente y podría probar la bergamota mientras el café con leche de mi mujer era buena. Todo a un precio razonable y servicio con una sonrisa encantadora. Volveremos!

Aunque este es un establecimiento de la cadena, la excelente disposición en este lugar muy orgulloso el nombre. Hay casi siempre una cola, que es un signo bastante buena que siempre es popular. Encantador café-plana blanca siempre es fantástico, como es el café con leche y el ocasional Macchiato. La comida es bastante estándar, pero nada para quejarse

Generally use Costa but dropped in here for a change. Earl Grey tea was excellent and the latte was good. Service from a young lad was good No issues so will use again !

Dropped in here as the Costa in the Hill Street Centre was very busy. Overall the service was good and the coffee was also good.

Very disappointed as the system was chaotic & drink orders wrong & over priced compared to costas where the coffee and choice are better.

A good coffee, decent sandwiches, and good service from cheerful staff. It was busy which is always a good sign.

Wonderful hot coffee. The frothy milk coffee was very hot and welcoming on a cold day. Ideally situated for the market.

I visited with two friends for a week day lunch. As always, this place was busy and getting served took some time. The staff were working hard to serve people quickly but every time I have visited I've always thought they could use an extra member of staff behind the counter. Despite being busy, the staff were very friendly as always.I can recommend the chorizo, rocket and mozzarella sandwich which they will toast for you. The desserts are all delicious too, but especially the carrot cake.An ideal place to chill out and catch up with friends.

Ordered and was served our coffee and cakes promptly. The tray was not clean. Most of the tables had not been cleared. We had to clear them ourselves. Only 1 toilet and it smelled and was not clean. Lots of rubbish on the floor.

I popped into Cafe Nero for a quick coffee fix whilst in Middlesbrough as it's in the heart of the shopping area. The coffee was great and the apricot croissant was even better! There was a good selection of sweet and savoury snacks to choose from and I like the fact that there is iced water freely available.Although they have free wi-fi it is via 'the cloud' and I couldn't remember my password. The seating is mainly wooden tables and chairs but there are a few leather sofas and armchairs if you're lucky. My only quibble would be the toilet (which is for both and women to use - never a good idea!) and the loo seat was slightly detached.

I am a daily visitor to Caffe Nero across the North East but I have to say the Middlesbrough one is the most consistent. Great staff and speedy service a credit to the brand. Keep up the great work guys

Local to the hotel I stayed in. Open early. Good service and coffee. So good I went twice. I like the fact they serve a small coffee. I hate those huge cups!

An excellent coffee stop! Fast, friendly service and great coffee. Nice to sit outside in the sunshine. A good place to have a rest from shopping.
