Caffe Nero in Stratford-on-Avon

Travelled to Stratford Upon Avon to meet friends. Lovely staff and service. Had a lovely girl who seemed to be the manager come over and check everything was satisfactory etc. Will definately be recommending and overall 10/10 for a lovely coffee with my friends in lovely settings.

The cleanliness & service at this restaurant has deteriorated recently with staff shortages and trainee staff struggling to cope with demand. On my last visit staff were getting quite flustered having to remake drinks & dropping food on the floor. The food and drink preparation appliances looked filthy and long ovedue a deep clean. The staff didnt seem to have enough time to keep work surfaces clean or clear empty tables. The disabled toilet also needs a deep clean.

We always like Nero’s and this one is no exception. It was gone 5 o’clock and the barista was very friendly and helpful. He made us lovely coffees which we enjoyed outside in the sunshine.

With a view to supporting local businesses in the current circumstances, I purchased a coffee at Cafe Nero to take out. With the cafe empty and no queue, I was served efficiently and quickly by super-friendly staff. The coffee was good - but £2.85 for the smallest coffee? A bit over the top.......

Nipped in for a quick brew and a Croissant and the latte was very nice and the service quick and good. Will use again when in the area.

Always like neros and wasn’t disappointed here even though it was late in the day the barista was very cheerful and made excellent cups of coffee very good.

Went here with a friend for a festive hot chocolate. The service was quicky and efficient and the hot chocolate was rich and satisfying.

Great coffee as is usually the case at any Caffè Nero but why, oh why are the toilets always disgusting?

I often drop into this Cafe Nero. It is predictable....always good coffee and nice pastries. There is comfortable seating if you want it, as well as tables to work at. Unlike other coffee chains, the staff are consistently friendly and helpful.

I tasted a cafe latte. Even if i had fast and good service the coffee was just discent. Nice atmosphere but overall nothing special, i expected more.

Not normally one to post reviews of a chain coffee shop but I felt I must as I was so blown away by the lovely gent behind the counter when I visited with a friend yesterday afternoon. Having worked in a similar store myself I appreciate the strain and pressure the staff are under (especially on a Sat afternoon) so it was very refreshing to be welcomed in a bery genuine friendly manner by the staff member, served with a smile, and then to see that replicated for every incoming customer. With only 2 members of staff on shift, I was so impressed with how he managed the queue. Thank you! Description of the staff member- male, approx 6’0’’, bald/shaved head.

The place is pleasant and the coffee is very good. The staff are very helpful and give service with a smile.

I’m not a fan normally of chain coffee shops but service today was excellent. The two guys serving were enthusiastic, friendly and very professional. A credit to the brand.

stopped here for lunch when we were on a tour of Stratford, Coffee was really good and the sandwiches were heated up for us and were quite tasty.

Although a chain, this branch is always welcoming and friendly. The baristas are knowledgeable and efficient and they remember you and your preferred drink when you return to visit. It is a good atmosphere with additional seating upstairs should you not find a seat on the ground floor. It is clean, the coffee excellent, and the service is swift. Highly recommend.

Utilizamos caf nero en varias ciudades, pero esta fue la primera vez que estuvimos aquí. La cola fue corta, pero la espera para ser atendida fue larga. Las mesas no se limpiaron y los clientes movieron bandejas de macetas sucias a otras mesas. Nuestra mesa para 2 tenía 10 tazas, 6 platos, 8 platos y un montón de servilletas sucias que otros clientes habían puesto allí. No pudimos encontrar a un miembro del personal para despejarlos y terminamos poniendo nuestra bandeja en una silla. No es suficiente. Entonces, después de 15 minutos de espera en la cola, recibimos nuestras bebidas que no estaban calientes, simplemente tibias, muy desagradables. Bebidas tibias en un ambiente sucio. ¡Nunca más!

Called in for coffee with my wife had to wait a good 10/15 minutes which was ok until we found out it was because people were returning food that was,nt up to standard at so everyone else had to wait for coffee and people just upper and left ,bad service.

Qué recepción tan adorable cuando Peter lo atiende en este particular Caff Nero. Él fue amable, eficiente y servicial. Los lattes y frappes estaban bien hechos y los pasteles y pasteles estaban frescos. Peter incluso trajo las bebidas a la mesa en la que estábamos sentados, y todavía sonreía. This is a good example of this chain. The barista was very friendly and the shop was clean and welcoming. The coffee was ok with my wife enjoying her cappuccino but my double espresso only ok.

The staff at this store are excellent. I am often served by James who always delivers an incredible level of service, with a warm welcome and a smile. Located a few minutes from Shakespeare's birth place. Ideal for lunch breaks.

The staff were friendly. The cappuccino was what I expected from Caffe Nero but the brownie wasn't consistent with other stores, being a different shape and a less chewy, dense texture.

Stopped for a quick coffee and cake and as always service and food very good here . We enjoyed a lemon cake and muffin while on a stop in Stratford.

We popped in here for a coffee while wandering around Stratford! The coffee, as always from Costa, was delicious! The staff were friendly and the service great!

Lovely coffee. Great service. Plenty more seating upstairs in very comfortable surroundings. Nice cake too :-) Collect coffee stamps on a bit of card or the app on your phone.

There are a plethora of coffee shops in the town and this one was chosen at random, mostly because we could see there were empty tables.

Nice cup of coffee as expected from caffe nero, but the service is absolutely terrible - so so slow despite there being only two waiting in the queue to be attended to. Tables werent very clean either.

A place to shelter from the rain and do a bit of reading with a soya latte on the go. Friendly and pleasant staff, really spend time chatting to the clientele if they want conversation. Good customer focussed service.

Realmente disfrutar de este lugar, los cafés son bastante buenas, las tartas son realmente sabrosos, los chocolates y los batidos son una maravilla, el juez su nosotros, viendo las fotos. 100% recomendado.

Long queue had to wait a while to be served asked for two cups of coffee and a mince pie was told rudely the drinks order would be taken first coffee and food were good when we eventually had them

We had only just got off the park-and-ride bus on Saturday morning in Stratford-Upon-Avon and needed refreshment and Caffe Nero was the best option. We were overwhelmed by the selection of good pastries and eats and ordered caramel latte for myself whilst my wife choose hot chocolate. I also had a chocolate brownie which was moist and delicious and my wife had a pecan pastry. The cafe has a pleasant atmosphere, the piped music is not too loud, which allowed us to chat. I must say that this is one feature of restaurants and cafes that annoys us intensely, loud music is both annoying and irritating and the management of such places should bear this in mind when they are adjusting the volume of the music they play. Also, the toilets were clean and pleasant, another major consideration of management of restaurants, pubs, cafes and bars. Nothing more is likely to put me off returning to such establishments if these facilities are below standard. The staff here are also friendly and helpful and our drinks and food were prepared accurately and speedily.

A typical café Nero very good quick efficient service, friendly staff. The facility has two floors with table and chairs outside approximately 20 seats. The location is very close to most attractions in Stratford, well worth a visit.

Decent coffee, decor & layout as per other Caffe Nero branches. Suited us - even better with O2 Priority free hot drink after 12 noon on a Tuesday :-)There was a queue, but excellent teamwork/service speeded it up.

Nothing much to say: a typical, busy branch of this national chan. Crowded downstairs but we found more room upstairs. While Caffe Nero is our favourite of the large coffee shop chains, Strafford Upon Avon has so many independent tea/coffee houses, many offering a wide selection of mouth-watering, home-made cakes, scones, etc., that it's a shame not to try one or two a try.

A big thank you to the young male barista who I think was french...He could not have been more pleasant or helpful whilst taking my order! Despite the growing queue he did not become flustered and completed my order in record time whilst remaining extremely polite, friendly and funny! He put a lot of English waiters I have had the misfortune of dealing with to shame. He was the epitome of good customer service....well done!!!

I came in as the doors opened at 8am and the welcoming was obviously not a morning person, I was the first customer so I thought the water would be hot; I thought wrong. I sat In a seat the furthest away from a speaker as they're blanketing the ceilings, so all I can hear over my headphones is awful tudor music blaring. Also, I'm wearing beats noise cancelling and I swear the music is getting louder. LOL using your wifi to upload thisI work in this Cafe and Restaurant business therefore I know plenty of better stores to visit. Additionally as this is a chain store, all will be the same below average experience Thanks but not thanks

This Cafe Nero is not the biggest or best laid out we have been in but the staff are very good. One young man in particular was very polite and friendly, seemingly happy to serve you -- plus he made very good coffee !

Very popular so find a seat! Overflow upstairs! The coffee is consistently good and there are GF snacks!

I visited here with my son about 5pm on Christmas Eve. There were two waitresses serving, and they were both very smiley, friendly and helpful. We had a coffee and a snack each, which were lovely, at reasonable prices. The place itself is pleasant and we did not feel rushed - it was very relaxing. We had not visited here before, so it was a good find.

We had a good lunch here. There wasn't much of a queue, but it pays to check around for seating (including upstairs) if you're looking to eat/drink in, as it gets very crowded at lunchtimes. There is the usual range of Caffè Nero food and drinks; our coffees were well made and tasty. Our hot food was heated promptly and brought straight to the table.

The staff are wonderful. Seating is comfortable. I am not a great coffee drinker, but it smells good. At the end of the day it is a chain, and you have to take it as just that.Cost-wise it's about the same as any other coffee shop.

A quick stop off pre theatre and the staff here were amazing going above and beyond - quick and efficient Heated to perfection and brewed to taste amazing Thank you

They make a great cup of Earl Grey on a cold day. Service with a smile and quick turnaround! Located in the middle of town with all of the shops and dining.

4 of us called in on a Sunday morning after a walk round the town we always use Cafe Nero's where ever we see one.Staff were very friendly and chatty which is good to see.We found a table no problem and the place was nice and clean which made our coffee's even nicer

Always friendly and quick service in here, and the coffee is better than it is in the other "big coffee chains". Only slight quibble is that the tables could be cleared quicker, hence 4 stars instead of 5.

Tried the caramelatte in caffe Nero today and loved it. Being able to it outside and listen to the local buskers makes this a Real treat. Gret coffee in a great location.

It's quite telling when you walk through a town in the early morning and see people waiting for the doors to open! Despite there being many coffee shops Neros was never empty! Usually range of items available, but the staff are friendly and eager to help

Popped in for a coffee to shelter from the rain, the service from the barista on the bar was very friendly from the moment we walked in and he catered to our order perfectly. Great coffee!
