I pop into this nero on an almost daily basis and I have to say it’s one of the best. The staff are friendly, the coffee (or chai latte in my case most days) is always hot and they take special care with allergies for me which is really helpful

This branch is located in a nice old building. The staff were efficient and the coffee was good. Overall: as expected.

Four people behind the counter and only one person is serving.One with hands in pockets.One on phone.One just moving stuff around aimlessly.People queuing and visibly frustrated. On a plus side the drinks are nice.

This was a much better visit. Staff were efficient and the product was tasty. Absolutely going to be back again.

Visited a few times and without exception coffee is not warm enough.Never have the same problem with the Harbourne branch.Are the cups warmed?Is the milk heated up every cup?

Popped in for a nice coffee whilst walking around Lichfield. Service good, coffee nice but a bit week! I like to actually taste coffee. I found the place rather mucky, in need of a real good clean! Tables were only cleared and not wiped!! In times of covid so important to clean each time! There was a bin to the side of the counter..over flowing with rubbish ( didn't look good from where we were sitting) step up to the counter filthy. Plus someone had a couple of dogs in there..upon which the owners were giving the dogs a drink out of their cup and off the saucer!! Unhygienic!! Unless this place is cleaned up I won't be going there again.

Good coffee and lovely moist carrot cake ,comfortable seating in pleasant surrounding ,definitely will be back Xxxxx

For a Nero's this is pretty good. Well located with good service and reasonable access to the city centre.

Lovely staff, fab coffee and nice location .. management needs to fix the dishwasher for them though, using lots of paper cups today 😁

We visited for coffee and cake whilst shopping. The coffee is always good, although you usually have to queue and it can take some time to get served. The cakes are very good and there is a reasonable choice. The premises always seem to be too small and the furniture does not suit it as most armchairs are too bulky for the area they are situated in.

The baristas work efficiently and provide a good friendly service. I always go for the hot chocolate, which is excellent. Good atmosphere.

Very rarely visit this store, however happened to be in the area today. As per really friendly staff and great service all together. Was disappointed however when I asked to have my water bottle filled up and she took my bottle lid off (attached to the straw) and went to fill up after placing the straw section over a clearly filthy side cloth. One used for wiping down dirty surfaces etc. Made me feel sick when I watched and just hoping I don’t feel ill because of it tomorrow. Understsnd it was just a moment of not thinking but I know how important hygiene is from working in a cafe previously myself.

The staff are always lovely but the building is very small and there is very little room for puschairs. It gets busy very qucikly and is not somewhere that I would go for a quiet coffee.

Caffe Nero serves a really good cup of coffee with a selection of sweet and savoury foods. Can recommend the cheese slices which are cooked on site, plus any of their toasties, in fact have never been served a disappointing meal . Highly recommend you give it a try.

Tasty coffee with nice window seat. Table not cleared though and waitress took a bit of encouragement to clear.

Am usually not a fan of any chain coffee shops but this one is one the better ones. Nice seating, good location and good staff!

A big fan of Caffè Nero coffee, this particular shop looks great on the outside and the staff are always friendly and efficient. Abit cluttered on the inside though, lots of random tables everywhere and chairs in stacks. If it was more homely then 5* definitely.

The best coffee in town, lovely atmosphere. Nice comfy seating, shame it needs to be bigger, some days you can't get a seat.Aaron the manager always remembers your name and the lovely Rob is so kind and helpful when my Nero app doesn't work.Keep up the good work guys and try and get the shop next door too.

Typical Caffé Nero. Usual standard, solid coffee. Couple of drawbacks though...

Called in here late afternoon was served by a really pleasant barista coffee was nice and hot the setting is lovely highly recommend.

Always try to use Cafe Nero as the coffee is always a standard taste. As previous reviews, the cafe is in a very old building nicely decorated. Toilets good but please note they are upstairs and for elderly people can be an effort. The entrance has a ramp for wheel chair users with enough room to get about. The one thing that requires improvement is the tables are not cleared which makes the cafe untidy. I had to clear my own table.

Nice enough place, nicer in the entrance area but made all the lovelier by cheery staff. Very helpful and took time to understand the coffee I was trying to explain he he.

Serving everything you would expect from this chain, located in a lovely old building. The staff here are efficient and super friendly.

Staff in this branch are always friendly, polite and eager to assist. There is a nice atmosphere in a pleasant old building. I don’t drink coffee but they do excellent hot chocolate.

Just stopped in for a coffee with my dear friend Marilyn. As usual the best coffee in town, in the best atmosphere, lovely staff. Lovely to be able to sit on comfy chairs and a sofa. Great place to meet friends

We needed a coffee! So we chose Nero's. Not only a coffee but cakes(s) as well. Plenty of seating, newspaper to read as well. Very relaxing and comfortable.

Not always easy to get a quality coffee, even though in Lichfield there are numerous choices. Caffe Nero is my favourite for quality of coffee and speed of service.The pastries are just too tempting.Coffee lovers go here.

I visited here midweek with my mum and a lively toddler. We had tea, coffee and a babychino. The cafe has lots of space for pushchairs and is bigger than it looks from the outside. The babychino is good value. The cafe had plenty of business and was clean and tidy.

Best coffee shop in Lichfield , nice atmosphere, don't drink coffee but love Nero's hot chocolate . Disappointed that they have not had the chocolate sprinkles on top for the last four weeks , it does make a big difference on the taste. Very pleasant manager and happy looking staff

Standard cafe nero fare and staff at counter were very efficient. Tables at back way to dark, and ones at front really crammed in. Could do with clearing the tables more quickly at peak times and also sweep the floor!!!

Americano coffee very good.location is good right in the center of Lichfield. Not the largest of cafe's in Lichfield and can get quite full at peak times.outside seating (limited) for those wanting a smoke or have dogs.No parking due to its location but pay and display parking is available nearby.

was looking forward to a nice latte coffee when i got it was to strong and bitter,did say was strong and was given a little bit of hot water,but my other half had cappacino loved it

Had a coffee with my wife mid afternoon. I went for the mocha with cream. Just the right amount and no too hot. Would definitely return. The cakes looked lovely, but I was able to resist, but only just.

I go to Cafe Nero in Lichfield possible 2 or 3 times a week as I live nearby and it's my favourite town. The staff are always lovely and friendly. Mainly the same staff but occasionally a new one appears. They all seem happy in their work and have your coffee prepared before you even get to the queue to be served. How they remember what everyone has is unbelievable.

Fantastic coffee and at its best early in the morning before it gets busy - you can wait a long time for drinks/food/queueing from mid morning onwards.Staff are on the whole very good and friendly, they always remember my order. The manager is LOVELY and makes the best mochas! If you are vegan/dairy intolerant soya milk is available as well as porridge and a yummy falafel meal. Good atmosphere with classical music playing, good selection of meals and comfy seats.

Despite the plethora of coffee shops in Lichfield, Caffe Nero (along with the Cathedral coffee shop on fine days) is my favourite. OK, it's a chain but there's something about the atmosphere, the location, the building and the staff, that draws me back almost every time. There's a great mix of clientele, you can sit alone and use your tablet/laptop and the staff are always helpful, energetic and friendly. The location in a heritage building in the very heart of the city is great too. More newspapers, please, guys.

Our favourite high street cafe did not falter in Lichfield. All good, great service, busy atmosphere, excellent seating, well done Guys and thank you for ensuring that great service and fab drinks are available from you in Lichfield.

We have been going to Caffe Nero for approximately 8 years. We have always had good service, the coffee is excellent and the atmosphere is good. My grandchildren have been brought up with visits to the coffee shop also. The prices are comparable with the other places in Lichfield. We have met some really lovely people in there over the years, and there are a lot of 'regulars' now. Their lemon cheesecake and lemon tarts are the best. The muffins and pastries are very good too. We don't mind the children in the coffee shop, they are for families, but buggies are the biggest problem if they are not left in the buggy area. The staff are excellent and very accommodating. A terrific place. We always look for Caffe Nero outlets whenever we go away and have found that the standard is always the same. Excellent.

Excellent coffee served by busy but cheerful staff . Although very busty service was not rushed & we received ready smiles. We can always guarantee a good coffee at Neros. Really THE BEST. It was a welcome relief too after trying a cup of coffee in the museum coffee sshop. This was DIRE to say the least, Made with boiling water we both had burnt mouths after a couple of sips. we hadn`t found Neros then but what a relief it was when we turned a corner & found Neros. The best coffee around. :-)

Nero Coffee is a favourite of mine, and my go-to place for my morning joe when I'm on the road. There are several competitive coffee franchises in Lichfield, but the coffee here is the best. There's one or two local cafés that might give it a run, but you can't go wrong at Nero. AND, their croissants are - hands down - the best in town. Fresh, crispy, light, not too buttery, melt-in-your-mouth goodness.

Usually bustling, it can be difficult to get a seat on Saturdays. The coffee is good and the sweets are lovely but the food is expensive for what it is. We've almost got to the stage where we can ask for 'the usual' but it depends who's serving. It's a great place to meet and sit and watch the world go by or read the paper or pretend you're working on your laptop. Occasionally haunted by the local MP.

This is my regular haunt for coffee when I can and cake if I'm being naughty. Staff are just superb, coffee lovely, just wish families with young children would go to Costa - it spoils the place.

Open for breakfast at 0700 with great coffee, lovely croissants and granola with yogurt and berries.

Everyone has to go here atleast once in there life.what can i say? I always have the mint milkshake and a piece of chocolate fudge cake and always want more.I wish there was a Caffè Nero in brownhills as I would live in it.I would love it if it was a bit cheaper buuuttttt still can't complain and from what I hear when I'm in there the coffee is nice as well but I don't drink the stuff

My family and I always go here on a Saturday and the staff have got to know us and know our order before we say anything. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed my visit, good service from pleasant and helpful staff. Food and drink expensive but all these coffee outlets are so comparable to any other. What I ate and drank was tasty ,seating adequate , what I like the most was the friendly atmosphere. I felt at ease and relaxed in what is quite a busy place. Well worth a visit.

As a big fan of fresh ground coffee and also CAFE NERO when in Lichfield this as to be the place to use.Staff are so glad to see you and friendly.The place is always clean and tidy even when busy.In the warmer or when weather is dry you can sit outside as well.Always worth a visit if you are near thisnplace

Good coffee shop and staff generally pretty attentive - coffee good and everything you would expect from a chain of coffee shops. Only thing that is mildy irritating is constantly being asked if i'd like a pastry with my coffee - feels a bit forced and you can tell the staff don't particularly want to ask either but I suspect its a corporate thing - not terrible I know - just a minor thing! I love the old beams on view and the atmosphere is second to none.

Lichfield has lots of coffee shops but this is my favourite, good quality food and drink and lots of choice. I just wish they cleared the tables more often!

Love cafe nero !!!! staff are always welcoming , remembering what you drink from previous visits this suprises me every time. Cafe must have hundreds of customers every day. . Coffee is lovely made just as you like it .

I go to Nero's perhaps every other week, maybe even once a week and it's a reliable spot for decent coffee and a place to sit and chat. The baristas are friendly and chatty and there are plenty of places to sit I have a good chat or chill out. The coffee shop is also part of a barn conversion, so there are nice wooden beams that make up part of the architecture.Obviously you get all the same stuff at any Nero's so I can't really say the stuff they sell at Nero's in Lichfield is any different. I have tried a few of the cakes, and I have had better... It's not the baristas' fault, it's Nero, so I am not criticising the Lichfield branch.The only thing I can say is the toilet probably needs looking at, as the door handle is coming off, and it's not always the freshest. Apart from that, Nero's is a quality brand, and regularly promises a good coffee.

They sell yummy cakes and milkshakes but wouldnt stay here for lunch as it's quite expensive! There is always a good atomosphere there and staff are always friendly
