Caffe Mondi, Shrewsbury in Shropshire

Ordered Peanut & Coconut Chicken with crispy noodles. Just incredible. I would have been happy with being served this in a top restaurant. Cannot recommend enough.

I came intentionally for the Brie, cranberry and bacon ciabatta and once again it was fabulous, crispy bacon and Brie oozing, also had the biscoff milkshake which I don’t think I’ll manage to finish even though it is amazing - I’ll just be too full. I meant to leave a review when I first had the Brie ciabatta and forgot so determined not to forget this time - excellent all round and one of my favourite places for a light lunch in Shrewsbury!

I popped in for lunch after never visiting before, but walked past dozens of times. I was half expecting basic cafe food. Good tasting food to get you through the day. However I found my vegetable fritters and halloumi were amazing! The sauce accompanied it so well, the halloumi wasn't rubbery at all. Definitely the best lunch I've had in Shrewsbury for a long time. Sometimes it pays to try new places.

Lovely spot for coffee and cake, with plenty of gluten free options. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

Great vibe , lovely decor urban chic , clean and great food can’t fault it, bacon poached eggs , coffee … perfect , we take our dog and sometimes they give the dog a bag of complimentary biscuits It’s so welcoming and the staff are very accommodating and the prices are in line with other cafes in the area Always look forward to visiting here

This place is lovely, I had a bagel and it was probably the best thing I've had. The cheese was lovely and the bacon was flavoursome, I'm very picky with my bacon as I don't like fatty bacon but this was just amazing. Would definitely recommend to others as the staff are all lovely aswell.

Saw this new restaurant and we gave it a shot! What an amazing experience, the service, the food and the atmosphere is just great. I’ve had the Shakshuka and my wife the beef brisket, both dishes were stunningly delicious. The best shakshuka in town by a long mile! I would strongly recommend this place.

My friend and i just popped in to get a slice of cake each, my friend was very happy with hers, mine was a good but a little dry. Lemon meringue, sliced and placed on a plate, with a gap between each piece means it all gets dry and cracked. So it was ok but wouldn't rush back. Also you can only pay by card, which i can but i do like to choose what i do and not be dictated. too. I also had to ask the see the amount before i paid as this was hidden.

Went to this place on a whim and was very impressed, food excellent, coffee excellent and friendly staff. If I were being ultra critical, paying before you eat is a pet hate of mine, I think it shows lack of confidence in the product, and they certainly don't have a reason to lack confidence, I also find that if the customer runs a tab they are more likely to add to the order later. But that's a tiny thing, and this place is definitely worth a visit, and I'll certainly be back 🙂

Having a trip to shrewsbury, arrived and wanted a hot drink saw this coffee shop, what a great place. Had a gorgeous cup of hot chocolate and the selection of gluten free cakes was great and also a surprise as I'm not usually spoilt for choice. Well done to a great independent coffee shop

Excellent brunch spot, we were in Shrewsbury for 1 day and wanted to grab some food, they accommodated us and our dog, he got water and dog biscuits. Food was very good and fresh, served quickly with a smile. Excellent cheesecake. Nice spot close to a huge parking.

Always enjoy a biscoff milkshake and the mushroom and cheddar bagel ! Staff always so lovely and one of my favourite cafes in Shrewsbury:)

Have been here many times and been happy with the food, drinks and service. However, on two occasions during the week we have made a special trip only to find it closed with no explanation. On another occasion we called to be told there was no hot food. No opening times on display which would help. We do check this online. Also from my calculations it looks like there is a charge for having butter with toast. I can understand jam but surely not butter? Recently we have also found food on the floor around our table, so not cleaned very well as we are early morning visitors.

Had amazing gluten free bagel breakfast. Called back couple of times, coffee v nice and great selection of cakes for coeliacs as well. All staff were pleasant and though busy very polite

I have visited this cafe several times and it has always been a great experience. On this occasion I visited with a friend for coffee and cake. Everything was excellent, including the service. The choice of cakes is great. The cafe is also dog friendly, which is a plus for me.

We come here roughly once a week for breakfast, and love the food and the atmosphere, the service is great too!

No help offered with steps to get to the bathroom, no good for limited mobility or prams. No baby changing facilities, unhelpful staff. Cheap quality food over priced wouldn't bother going back considering how many other options there are locally

Family group stopped off for a coffee. Cheerful, friendly staff, great service, excellent coffee. We all enjoyed & will be going back to try their food on our next visit!

This was our second visit to this cafe. On this occasion we had our dog with us. Dogs are made very welcome with a little bag of treats. We tried the chicken satay flatbread and the shroomi haloumi flatbreads. The food was well presented and very tasty. The staff make you feel very welcome. The coffee is excellent and they have a fantastic selection of cakes. One of Shrewsbury’s best cafes.

Been here previously for coffee and cake and they have a great choice. Called in for brunch and the food is unusual, healthy and tasty. I had Papas Katsu Special, delicious. We'll be regulars here.

Came here prior to a morning shopping in Shrewsbury with my sister and I really loved the place, staff really friendly and helpful and service great. Had a breakfast sandwich of bacon and egg and it was so nice and I also loved the individual tea pots too which was really quirky and fun! I know next time I am in Shrewsbury I will be back again as it was such a good experience.

First time visit. Great service and the food was excellent. We had the Halloumi Flatbread and Shamboka (I think this is what it is called, maybe worded similar). Great to find an independent cafe which surprises. If you are in Shrewsbury, would highly recommend.

Visited this cafe, with pleasant staff and a nice relaxed environment. We sat on a leather armchair at the back, the place is bigger than you think. Latte and hot chocolate should have have been a little hotter, a problem we find at most cafes...
