Caffe Del Nino in Cannock Chase

Very polite staff and a very welcoming environment. Quick service and was very simple and easy to order. Would recommend with friends or solo.

We don’t visit Cannock often but as we were in the area we had a little look on Trip advisor for somewhere to eat lunch. Caffe Del Nino seemed to have good reviews and looked pleasant from the outside so we popped in. Staff were friendly, menu was typical lunch fare, prices certainly were not at the cheaper end but we’re always happy to pay for good food. Sadly good food was not what we got, a children’s bowl of meatballs and pasta was lukewarm, the jacket potato with tuna and cheese was ok (hard to get wrong really), although it contained the smallest sprinkling of cheese I’ve ever seen. However it was the cheese and mushroom ‘omelette’ that was truly vile. A small mound of microwaved eggs containing boiled mushrooms and no cheese. It was just horrible. We could hear the constant pinging of the microwave so guessed this was how everything was cooked. I honestly don’t know how the staff served food that was so disgusting. It’s not difficult to cook a small lunch menu fresh to order without the assistance of a microwave. I suggest the management have a look at how the food is prepared and served for the future.

Have visited a few times for drinks but decided to try the all day breakfast deal including a drink for £4.50, which I thought sounded like good value. There were a few people in so there was a bit of a delay but not too bad. The breakfast when it arrived looked good; 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and toast. Excellent. The reason I gave 3 stars instead of 5 was due to a few issues easily put right but disappointing that it should be necessary. The meal was served on an icy cold plate which meant that the food on it went cold very quickly. The eggs had achieved what I thought was impossible in that the yolks were hard while the whites were undercooked. The toast was spread with a substance definitely not butter. The bacon was good, as were the sausages, mushrooms and tomatoes. None of the issues would cost anything to put right, just a little care and attention, and then 5 star material.

I've been here many times for coffee and cake and I love it. There are comfy places to sit and read the paper whilst sipping a large latte and nibbling a scrumpy cake.

This cafe is such a brilliant place to go at anytime in the day for breakfast lunch or tea. But it is so much more too. In the evenings there are a,so things going on. Friday and Saturday live music in a very comfortable atmosphere. With a licensed bar, and the best coffee in town a available . Fran the owner is welcoming and always willing to make your visit enjoyable. Wednesdays there are quiz nights, book club (space fir new members) and open mike nights. There are frequent soecial events, Halloween disco etc, children are made very welcome. Make it your new hangout.

This is a brilliant caffe, friendly staff, lovely customers who are all friendly. There is comfortable seating, also the option to sit outside if you wish. The coffee is excellent, food choice good, though I understand that the menu will be revised when the new owner has reviewed options. In the evenings the Caffe is a different place. Live music on Fridays and most Saturdays. Friday is a open mike night where musicians can take the stage if they wish. Or just sit in the background and play along. It is quite loud but if you enjoy a good jam session with the added attraction of real ale then this is the place for you. Saturday is acoustic night unless there is a private party booked, or vinyl night. The acoustic nights are lovely. Again it is open mike nut there are no amps so the musicians just strum gently in the background, allowing for conversation and socialising. A lovely wind down weekend venue. Vinyl nights are a good place to bring along your own records, you can do your own slot and be a do for a little while. There is often dancing and again alcohol is available. This cafe has a Facebook page where upcoming events are advertised. This cafe is well worth visiting. Give it a try.

Visited here for an evening acoustic night. Atmosphere was amazing. Staff were friendly and the place was buzzing. Lovely bunch of people definitely recommend.

Used to love this cafe, but since it has changed hands it has gone downhill, visited three times but will not visit again, service is slow, menu not much choice and counters are practically empty

We went in there for a drink hit chocolate was lovely and staff are very kind and helpful in the Kidderminster one

We were originally popping in for a coffee, but when we received a very warm welcome and were advised of all the specials we decided to eat there too. The food was lovely, freshly cooked and tasty and the cappuccino was excellent too. We would highly recommend and will be returning very soon.

This place is ok for a short while. Needs upgradeing furniture worn down. Didnt eat there just drinks. Bit pricey too. Just be aware only one toilet.

Stopped off here this morning for breakfast and staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Myself & my partner are on slimming world & staff were more than happy to revise their breakfast to make it slimming world friendly. I’m also dairy intolerant so was more than happy to hear that they cater for vegans & people with different intolerances. My caramel soya coffee was perfect!

Stopped at Cannock for B and B Arrived mid afternoon and went walk about. Great cafe with sofa, tables and music. Very friendly staff and good service. Well priced sandwiches etc. Will be back in the morning for a bacon sandwich before leaving for our onward journey.

Lovely little cafe with a lot to choose from. Vegan and gluten free options available. Nice area as well, cosy outdoor seating area. The place even has weekly music and poetry nights too!

We had lunch here today. We visit most weeks the food is fresh, tasty and plentiful. The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to give you an overall lovely experience. We will keep coming back for more! Especially Tom for the orange chocolate cake!

My friend and l had a lovely lunch in El Nino recently. There has been a change of management and l must say the new people served a beautiful meal and were very kind and and attentive. The cafe has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and l thoroughly enjoyed my time there and will definitely return.

Visited several times, I like the style and atmosphere, and the small tables outside, love the comfy sofas, great to relax for a spell with a cappuccino or two.

Lovely bistro style cafe with friendly, polite staff who can’t do enough for you. Best choice of coffees in town. I had the chicken balti and my friend had the pasta with meatballs. Beautiful meals. Waitress service. Would totally recommend this little gem.

Friendly cafe with choice of main meals and snacks with great choice of drinks including good coffee ! I managed to chose the jacket potato they didn’t have but the chicken alternative was tasty and the accompanying salad excellent- choice of pictures on the walls really interesting would recommend, relaxing atmosphere and reasonable pricing

So sorry to have to give a negative review but after using del Nino for last 3 years and giving 5 star rating 2017 /2016 the quality seems to have dropped my coffee was ok but the wife's hot chocolate was completely tasteless.we had always complemented that it was the best anywhere.no atmosphere the only other occupants ,who are there every week,conducting business on laptops.disapointed that cannocks no 1 seems to have changed

Had a great night at Caffe Del Nino's Open Mic Night. The staff were friendly, charming and helpful, the beer was fantastic and the whole atmosphere was just superb. Had a really lovely evening supporting my friend who was performing. Great vibe throughout the evening,...

We have been to this establishment many times but this morning has put me off from ever stepping a foot through their door again.

Tucked away but what a great place, we will definitely be back, we had breakfast on Saturday morning which was very nice.

Popped in yesterday for lunch with a friend. Great food and my sandwich came with salad garnish crisps and a home made coleslaw £4.25 its crazy the quality for the money it cost. Fantastic food fantastic value and what a great gem in cannock.

I have been going to Caffe Del Nino since it opened. It has always been pleasant and friendly. However it has now gone up 50 notches on the must visit scale.

What has happened to this restaurant it used to be a great establishment, now we have the usual students sitting at tables with the open laptop and the food has taken a dive what a shame

As I am a coffee lover I like to pop in here instead of the well known coffee shop when I am visiting the town. The service is always friendly and the coffee strong. Once I'm sitting on the comfy sofa I soak in the homely atmosphere and read. Haven't tried any food yet but it always looks and smells delicious so maybe next time..

First visit for breakfast. Service with a smile nice decaf tea and yummy breakfast with nice bacon and sausage. We will be back to try lunch.

Have used Caffe Del Nino on several occasions. Food is first class, always fresh. Staff very pleasant and you always get a warm welcome. The coffee in my opinion is as good if not better than you would get in a top coffee shop. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

We go mainly for the open mic nights and special events on Fridays and Saturdays. They have some great local acts playing, and don't miss the Magnificent 7x7 vinyl nights where you can bring a few vinyl 7" records and play them yourself! There is always a great atmosphere! Food and drink is great and reasonably priced. Really friendly owners and staff.Highly recommended

Nice independent cafe with staff who like to please. Limited fare for vegans - Jacket potato with beans but all was tasty. As a vegetarian I like cottage cheese or goats cheese with roasted veg on my jacket. Another suggestion for vegans is roasted veg and homous.

This is a fantastic cafe which attracts brilliant local talent and superb coffee. The manager is a kind quirky guy, the staff are awesome and the prices are reasonable. I fully intend to have some food at somepoint. Anyway pop in you will enjoy it.

We arrange a family morning coffee here on Saturdays. Always friendly and the food is great. Very cosy with traditional table and chairs and comfy sofas. WiFi available and a loyalty points card too.

I love it here,the food I sent simple ,tasty & very reasonable,tucked away just off the Main Street.The owners are so lovely ,it's a little family run business,who deserve lots of custom.They also do live acoustic nights etc,they cater for anything thing really,just ask.I will definitely be returning.My grandson loves it here.

Stumbled across this coffee shop by accident. lovely staff, relaxed surroundings and my Cappuccino was perfect and the right temperature as other coffee shops seem to serve it way too hot. Will visit again as they have Open Mic nights. Will sample the food next time as it looked amazing!

Charming little cafe in one of the nicer areas of town, I popped in to meet a client very quickly and stayed for a couple of coffees. Good service and comfortable chairs, a less commercial alternative in the Costa/Starbucks ruled towns of today.

We often pop into this restaurant for a lunch ,I must say the food is of excellent quality the service is good and the coffee is the best in Cannock. may i reccomend the omelette as its to die for so light and fluffy

The husband and wife that own and work their are friendly and it has a nice inviting atmosphere, with couches and lounge chairs as well as tables and chairs. There is local artwork on display for sale and altogether the atmosphere is welcoming. They run a loyalty card system on cups coffee which is an added bonus. There is also seating outside. However, the man has a bad habit of chatting to you when paying and then forgets to give you change or gives incorrect change. On ordering a 'homecooked' pizza I was horrified to see that it was a small cheese pizza, ()probably bought from Iceland or equivalent) and then topped with more cheese and stuck under the grill. When I received it the topping could actually be lifted away from the base which was not properly cooked through. All the food I have tried there has been disappointing.

Me and my partner visited here it's such a lovely place with excilent customer service the food was lovely and at a reasonable price... the toilet mainly the ceiling could do with some tlc however over all it was an excilent visit and will deffinatly recommend to anyone

Decided to give this a go instead of Costa Coffee as I received dreadfully slow service last time I was there. Friendly, good value and plenty of regulars it seemed.Not sure about the furniture arrangement though - seemed a little haphazard!

My Mom always goes in here when shopping so when some American relatives came over she took us here, the food was lovely, ranging from sandwiches to pasta and coffee was freshly made. They also do live music in the evenings which will bring me in for another visit. Staff were very friendly. Would recommend.

Well what a lovely little find, this place is just lovely I visited today and had the amazing pumpkin coffee !! the staff were very friendly and the cafe had wifi which is also a bonus. I would definitely use this lovely little place again for the best coffee and cake in Cannock :)

I have been today and it's closed.Sadly a letter on door that explains the circumstances.Looks like landlord has gained entry and changed the locks.A loss to cannock.

I went here for the first time today because Costa looked too busy to take a pushchair in. The atmosphere was lovely, with friendly staff and regular customers seeming to know each other. They had an interesting choice of cakes (my son chose chocolate and beetroot which he loved, oblivious to his secret vegetable intake!) which I tried and was delicious. My coffee was excellent, the best I've had in a while. From the posters in there, it seems there's a lot on there including open mic night. They have comfy seats, books, coffee and cake, I think I'll be going again!

We visited here for the first time on Saturday and were very impressed! We were greeted by a very pleasant lady when we arrived who then talked us through the offerings, gave me a loyalty card and was generally very helpful. The coffee was pretty good and is a nice change from coffee giants Costa/Starbucks. Will definitely visit here again in the future.

I love this place! Myself and my daughter have different dietary requirements of vegan and gluten free. It isn't often that a small town, independent cafe can supply yummy meals and cakes to cater for our needs, always served with a smile.I am a wheelchair user and the level access is brill for me. I often sit outside on a sunny day with my dog and she is always brought a bowl of weather.The staff are great as are the people who use it!

A smart & friendly place to come and start the day. A damn fine cup of Coffee awaits you in a well presented & maintained premise. Great for a cake/snack break or a fine hearty breakfast. Once a night an Open Mic night is available serving Beers & Wines. Well worth a visit if you are in the 'Nock!

I regularly go and have breakfast in this little cafe in Cannock. The ambience is great and relaxing. The staff are all friendly and very helpful and most importantly the food is great. Fantastic atmosphere. Would recommend.

A friendly family run Cafe where nothing is too much trouble. Very friendly staff food made to order and a good selection of cakes to boot. I would recommend Caffeine Del Nino to anyone as a great place to eat and relax - free Wi-Fi as well can't get any better.

My husband and I decided to have a break from shopping and chose Cafe Del Niño as we'd heard it was great. We both enjoyed the drinks, a latte and an Earl Grey tea. We didn't eat on this occasion but the food being served looked excellent and the area where the food was prepared was visable, hygiene appeared to be extremely good. The staff are friendly and efficient and the cafe has a bright,cheerful and relaxed feel to it with great art placed interestingly a round the walls ( which could be bought if tempted) . We will certainly be visiting again and I'll take my new loyalty card :)

I had a great visit I order the ninos alday breakfasts and the food was great. The staff are really friendly and service was really fast pus you can use the free wifi wilts you wait and relax in a nice relexed area

Second visit in as many weeks, coffee and walnut cake with a latte. Best coffee in Cannock by a mile. Some places including Costa, think a latte is a cup of milky beige slop, not here. Good, well flavoured coffee.

Good food, nice ambience, cool tunes. Sweet. Best cafe in the area by far. I'll be back many times. They also do open mic nights of that's your thing.

Never try this place before but wanted some food from caffe del Nino it was really nice and good place to have a meal from. We will definitely come back here again

I am amazed this place has such a high rating on here, surroundings and service is pleasant but the food leaves a lot to be desired.Chilli tasted like it was from a tin and tasted very bland, my partners breakfast was very poor...the bacon was hard and dry, sausages tasteless and toast was anaemic and hardly buttered...l came here as it was rated No1 in Cannock ??

First visit today and we will definitely be returning. Food and service were excellent and would definitely recommend. Well done.

Good little cafe. Nice selection of food. Cakes all looked amazing. Really nice and helpful staff who refilled all out water bottles and couldn't have been more helpful. Looks a good wee spot in Cannock.

My daughter took me here when I visited her in Cannock. The café has comfortable leather settees for that relaxing cappuccino. The staff are friendly and eager to help. The tables are kept clean and tidy. They offer a wide range of cakes and drinks. A nice alternative to the regular coffee chains. They also have regular "open mic nights." Give it a try if you are in the area.

Been coming here for a while now and I'm never disappointed. Food is fantastic. Always with fresh ingredients. All staff are really friendly too. Atmosphere is awesome I feel like I'm at home.

I have eaten here on a couple of occasions and can not fault the place. It is clean, food is fantastic and the staff are so friendly. The only downside is that it is a little hidden away from the centre.

Tonight I visited for an evening of swing music performed by an amateur singer Martin Leonard. The music was very enjoyable. atmosphere great. Nice to be able to relax with a drink , a good crowd of people of all ages .Thanks to the owners Tracy and John for once again hosting a great event for Cannock.

This place is hidden away but it's a little gem. As far as I know it's only open for lunch (and possibly breakfast) but the food and drinks and cake are always fab, and the staff are lovely. It's only a small place.

I like hot chocolate. I like it with cream. AND marshmallows! Especially when the marshmallows are under the cream and melt into the hot chocolate. They did my hot chocolate just how I like it - absolutely delicious!!! Fantastic atmosphere, lovely place to chill and relax with good company.

There aren't many nice places in Cannock to eat, but this makes a pleasant change.Nice and cosy but still spacious enough for a pushchair. Lovely cake !!!Very nice owner, knew all his regulars by name.Would recommend anyone to pop in there and have something to eat.

Popped into Caffe Del Nino for Saturday lunch and must admit, it was a very pleasant place.We thought it had a nice ambience about it, with a nice mixture of dining tables and relaxing chairs & sofas.The baguettes and panini's were lovely and would definitely return.
