No Access. for partially disabled people and if you suffer from anxiety And I thought I would be able to get in there, but TripAdvisor doesn't say one way of another, I cannot do steps and there was obstacles everywhere, surely in 2023 I would've thought you would have done something by now, like create another entrance but it's the same problem we cannot afford to, speculate to accumulate. We went next door, which I now regret, waste of money and too cold on the 25th

We came into the cafe for a quick coffee on our way to Bristol. We asked for a table, seeing a few people already seated and drinking coffee. The lady at reception said that she thought we would prefer to go downstairs which would be able to serve us. I asked if they are open to the public, she said yes, but that we may prefer downstairs. I would add that we are dressed ok, normal professional couple on holiday. I felt that we were unwelcome, so we left and had a lovely coffee further into Bristol. I really was surprised, maybe I missed something in communication but my partner also got that impression. I am sorry to write a review like this, hopefully it was just a one off.

My work friends organised an afternoon baby shower for me at Caffe Clifton, where we had drinks, cakes, games and more! It was such a lovely intimate setting for about 15 of us - not too big so it felt nice and cosy and everyone was able to mingle. Staff were friendly and always on hand to bring out more prosecco and elderflower. I would definitely return even if just for the carrot cake which was amazing!

After having a tremendously stressful and soul destroying morning at the local hospital where I had to decide the fate of my gravely ill aunty I was in desperate need for a cup of cha and maybe a millionaire’s shortbread. What can I say and where to start? Well I shall start with my first impressions. First impressions? Great decor and scrupulously clean interior which luckily distracted me from thinking about having pulled the plug on a 94 year old merely hours before. Service was exquisite with attentive and friendly staff. This was a nice touch as it drew my mind away from my aunt’s final breaths leaving her decrepit body. Food was scrumptious and good value for money which was a blessing as I had only learnt minutes before that my daft old bat of an aunt hasn’t paid into a funeral plan and I was eager to start economising as I had a funeral and wake to organise. Thanks again to caffe clifton for for a Ray of light on what would prove to be a rather dark and dismal day (on account of my aunt’s imminent demise) Ps. No free parking which ruined my day.

We came across this lovely café during a downpour and a need for shelter! We are so glad we did! The coffee was top notch and the cakes were delicious. They also showcase a local artist’s work, which I think is a lovely little touch. We were served by the café manager who was absolutely lovely. We shall definitely be back. Thank you!

We booked the venue for a baby shower for our friend. The booking was easy, lots of information from Siwan etc. Having only seen pictures of the venue, I have to say I was a little disappointed on arrival. The building and interior itself are lovely however little details such as the leather chairs really do need replacing; unfortunately no amount of cushions could cover that up! We booked an afternoon tea and when we arrived started to put the tables out in a long row so that (I had imagined) the afternoon tea stands could be put out. Unfortunately the afternoon tea was bought all together all on plates, and when I queried this the lady said she did have a cake stand but it broke last week ?! I cant say I've ever had an afternoon tea not served on some kind of cake stand. So yes, the display didn't look overly appealing and to be honest there was very little of it. I had to ask if there would be any more sandwiches, or cake, as it looked quite bare and our party had gone through it in literally 5 minutes. The sandwiches were just ok , the cakes were lovely (and thank you for doing these dairy free, this meant our friend could have anything on the plate .... a rarity!) However again the cakes were literally minuscule and again, were gone in about 5 minutes. The lady who dealt with us was super friendly though :) There was some confusion about the bill at the end which meant a hefty extra about owed. I feel that this was down to a miscommunication about the amount of prosecco included in the afternoon tea. Perhaps going forward when people request more, it needs to be made super clear that an extra charge is incurred. The lady was most apologetic about this and quite clearly embarrassed but unfortunately it left a sour taste when you've already paid the entire bill before the day. Also, guests commented it's the first afternoon tea they'd been to where they weren't actually offered any tea... strange! Would I come back ? Probably not but it is a beautiful building and I heard (from guests who paid for it) that the coffee was lovely

I stayed in the hotel, and had breakfast here. The lady serving me was super super helpful. I wasn't feeling very well that morning, and without even knowing it she offered to bring me breakfast from downstairs restaurant. Thank you so much! And the food was great, I enjoyed the veggie breakfast. Plus, thumbs up for having vegan options!

Went to the caffe clifton for a baby shower event. They supplied us with afternoon tea and prosecco. Bit disappointed that it was all toasted sandwiches but the cakes were amazing. Such a good selection for vegans, gluten free and nut allergies, and all tasted delicious. It was run by one woman and her toastie machine. She did a fantastic job looking after us all and was rushed off her feet but it was a lovely afternoon, lovely pots of tea and a really nice intimate space for a small group.

Horrible service, if you wanna call it a service . Ordered coffee using qr code scanner provided at the table . Half a hour later , still nothing . Walked to the bar area to check , two people behind the bar , completely ignoring me , left me waiting . Managed to stop someone passing by the bar , showed them my order on the phone from now 35 min ago , they seemed confused and just walked away behind the bar , no apology, no explanation , just started making coffee.
