Went into cafe zest during Christmas fair weekend and the staff were cheerful and couldn't have been more helpful, I'm disabled and the service and care the staff provided was second to none. We did witness an incident in there where a pair of ladies were swearing at a member of staff but the lady dealing with it stayed calm , she explained to the lady that she is not here to be spoken to like that and neither are her staff. If I'm honest I could not believe the words coming out of the one woman's mouth. I have used this cafe for many years and I have never witnessed anything so disgusting. People need to realise these girls work hard and are always there to help, you always have that one person who thinks she's better then everyone else. Well done ladies, keep up the hard work

Outrageously rude staff who not only refused to refund a sub standard meal but aggressively argued with an elderly female couple over said sub standard meal. Avoid.

Customer service was horrible! Worst place I ever been to! Assistant manager was very rude to us and shouted at us!

A lovely café on the top floor of House of Fraser with good city rooftop views. Friendly, helpful, efficient staff. Tables cleared and cleaned promptly. All the drinks we had were good. Even had a view of a Peregrine flying around and landed on the Glover's needle

Quite disappointed with my stop. At first look we thought they were closed. There were so few lights on leaving the dining area dark and there were no staff present for a couple of minutes. Eventually when someone turned up they served us but was not exactly enthusiastic. We just had a tea which came in a small and cheap stainless steel teapot. The cups were stained and the teapots themselves were water stained. We saw one other staff member who walked around in a stained apron at the pace of a snail and looked miserable and like they didn’t want to be there. The second star is only because the seating area is nice albeit quite dark.

Pleasent people. Roof terrace out of the wind is nice. Indoor seating is clean and air-conditioned. Children welcome but the prices will put most parents off, I suspect. You get what you would expect in a House of Fraser store.

Poor service, staff walked past tables which needed to be cleared and the breakfast was overcooked to the point of being inedible. Coffee was not passable. No care taken, poor presentation. We do not recommend

I loved this pub when we visited on sunday 27th Oct. It has so much character. It's oozing with architectural history; you're surrounded by oak beams and low ceilings. The regulars are friendly. It's dog friendly. The bar staff are friendly. It has live music Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday afternoons. It has a pool table. The loos are clean and and well appointed. I read the last couple of reviews, and it saddens me that they want to put people off visiting this historic tavern. My experience was the total opposite.

Nice bar, drinks a little expensive, but was a nice experience. Staff were nice and friendly and the place was very clean.
