I have been to this Caffe numerous times in the past and I have seen people taking the seats only to read books or chat with friends. I was seated on one of the chairs in the back where the books are and was reading something and this barista comes over telling me if I don’t buy a drink I cannot be using the seat and not allowed to have a drink that I bought in somewhere else! There were several free seats so it wasn’t that I am occupying someone else’s space, plus as I’ve said above I’ve seen people on most occasions I’ve been to the floor of the building taking the seats to only read things, if those seats are only for people drinking coffee bought from that caffe then why would you allow other people? It was quite divisive and discriminatory of her to approach me in such a way. Alternatively, it wasn’t my first time at the Caffe to sit and read and no one in the past has said anything. She told I can’t that have coffee since it wasn’t bought there and can’t use the seat if I don’t have the service! I would like to ask for a complaint to be logged and a proper response to this issue.

What could be better than a café in a bookshop? Thus is definitely a place worth visiting...

Lovely atmosphere, lovey staff, very reasonably priced drinks, 4 stars for food as there weren't very much gluten-free options ... a choice of 2 pre packaged cake bars today, so where my daughter had a large choice of savoury or sweet options I had a choice of 2 small cakes!

Bit quiet in bar. Barmaid friendly and chatty. Stack over the road probably taking their business. If u are off to stack and queue is huge try here.

We had an early morning flight just before Christmas, so we thought we would have a nice breakfast before the flight. I really don’t know how you can mess up a cooked breakfast!! We found a table, that had drink stains all over it I had to ask the lad to clean the table which he did with no urgency or elbow grease, I wanted to do it myself. The breakfast arrived the bacon was that cremated we had to pick it up to eat, I didn’t want to take someone’s eye out that brittle, the eggs were sunny side up and all runny round the yolk not cooked properly. The prices that you charge would have expected something a tad better. I was not impressed at all!! I have had a catering business for several years and I would never serve something I wouldn’t eat myself. If you would like me to come in and show how to cook for the great British public, just give me the nod and I would do it free of charge. The staff are very pleasant, the only good thing about the place

My son suggested this restaurant as we were out for his birthday so his choice. This is quite simply the best Indian restaurant that I've ever been to. The service was absolutely brilliant, the two lads working tonight were great and nothing was a bother they were so good with us. I had a chat with one about our watches and just complimenting each others watches as he was getting so ice for our table. I can't praise the two of them enough. My son and I shared a mixed kebab starter which was beautiful, we both enjoyed it. I had the lamb karie (I can't spell it) whilst my son and partner had the madras, we had keema pilou and two garlic and coriander Nanns. All of the meal was beautiful. My son and I finished the meal with Him having the chocolate cake with ice cream whilst I went for the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, compliments to the chef for the whole meal and I couldn't fualt a single thing. The whole experience from start to finish was outstanding and I will definitely be back again. Big thank you to the two lads who served us tonight, I really can't praise yous enough. Well done and thank you for a brilliant night.
