I went up the stairs to the toilets and through the upstairs kitchen. Both the kitchen and the toilets were absolutely filthy. Luckily I had finished my breakfast otherwise I would have left immediately. I certainly couldn’t recommend Cafe Rossi under any circumstances.

Shabby service , cold soggy chips , meat is fried on a hotplate as no barbecue facilities so tastes of grease, orders served incorrectly as they seem to have an inability to listen . Extremely disappointing Avoid at all costs

This cafe near the Borough Market makes a great Full English! I chose the vegetarian option and it came with hot chips, baked beans, mushrooms, two eggs and toast for £6.50. A mug of tea was £1 extra and worth it. I'll definitely come back when I'm next in London.

Comí un kebap y unas patatas con queso en este "restaurante" por llamarlo de alguna forma. Al rato me puse malo con dolor de barriga, diarrea y vómitos, creo que no hace falta decir nada más no se lo recomendaría ni a mí peor enemigo.

Siempre pienso que estás en un ganador cuando ves a un grupo de trabajadores comiendo en un café. Y tenía razón. Quería comer en el mercado y para ser justos con TOH era un poco fresco. Nos llevaron a nuestra mesa dado un menú. Tuve el desayuno de burbujas. Este es un desayuno con col frita y papa. TOH tenía el especial de Rossi. Huevos revueltos y salmón ahumado. Lavado con una taza de té. Ambos desayunos eran muy agradables y una excelente manera de comenzar el día.

Anoche visitamos este café con amigos. El café estaba muy ocupado con muchas fiestas y una mezcla de todos los grupos de edad. Teníamos una mesa para cuatro junto a la ventana. El personal era muy acogedor y atento y el servicio fue rápido. Mi amigo y yo elegimos el plato de salmón que tuvimos en nuestra última visita unos meses antes, pero era como un plato completamente diferente. La última vez que las papas vinieron en un tazón pequeño empapado en un montón de mantequilla, pero esta vez las papas y los chícharos fueron arreglados con el salmón encima y se veían y tenían un sabor increíble. Pensé que tal vez había un nuevo chef, pero me dijeron que era el chef que cocinaba esa noche. Una diferencia tan grande en la forma en que se presentó la comida y sería digna de un restaurante con estrellas. Comida realmente sabrosa y agradable en un gran restaurante local.

Es un café muy pequeño que hay que buscarlo bien para encontrarlo.

There was a good atmosphere at Café Rossi with space to sit down on a Monday lunchtime but not too much space that it felt quiet. The service was warm, attentive and swift without feeling rushed; and the staff obviously recognised their regulars and knew what they had to eat. There was a good range of food on the menu. I chose the ham, egg and chips: decent portion, chips were fresh, hot and tasty, the ham was a little ordinary which is where it loses a star. Add in a coffee and it came to £7. Good value, I'd happily return and am happy to recommend.

This is a traditional British greasy spoon. Good value - no complaints. Portions size was good - had full breakfast - bacon very tasty. Be aware - there are no toilets so you will need to use Borough Market (they are currently free).

Food is ok here but they seem to get the order wrong every time! I’ve never really been able to enjoy the food because it always comes with something random that I didn’t order eg. Whole plate covered in mayonnaise for no apparent reason...

This place does fry ups and a lot more. Quick, plentiful portions, tasty and - for the area - great value. I had a seafood baked potato, my companion had a tuna sandwich. Served with a friendly smile even though it was very busy. Recommended above all the 'chains' in the area.

Ordered Lamb Kebab and got a wonderful meal for a good price. Cosy little place. I would recommend to anyone for a snack or a meal.

Looking for somewhere near Borough Market on a Sunday lunchtime. Forget all the queues at the theme bars and restaurants, if you want something basic give this place a try. Beans on toast, scrambled eggs etc and superb homemade minestrone soup. Lunch for 4 people, £22! Great service. What more could you ask for?

Cold wet Sunday morning found this little place had the full English breakfast and a large tea all for £7 Not much more you can say just the biz!

We weren't sure what to expect at this establishment, but didn't have much choice, it being boxing day and having a starving family to feed. However, we all had the breakfasts, plus chicken burgers, and chips, which came very quickly, and were hot, tasty, and fairly inexpensive, especially for this area.

El lugar tiene un problema con la higiene, no parece correcto, el director, es muy grosero y no insultos y gritos en sus modales sin razones de los clientes, fue la peor experiencia que he tenido, no disfrutar en todas mis comidas, la calidad del servicio era muy malo. Si quieres disfrutar de tu comida y buena calidad de comida y servicio, este lugar no es para ti.

Nos estábamos alojando en Borough. Nosotros no teníamos el desayuno incluido en la tarifa de la habitación en nuestro hotel, así que vine aquí tres veces para el desayuno. Es uno de esos lugares que es bastante modesto y probable que te pasas. Está abierto las 24 horas. Enormes porciones para el desayuno y sirve rápidamente y sin problemas. Sólo 6 libras por un completo desayuno incluido, 2 tostadas de todo lo que creo que es la increíble relación calidad-precio para el centro de Londres. Caminamos después de un par de veces por la noche y estaba lleno de gente comprando kebabs y vendas.

Un amigo y yo tuvimos un aperitivo aquí después de haber tenido a un espectáculo. El servicio es bueno, la comida decente y está constantemente ocupado. Es un lugar muy limpio adentro también. Comer en el restaurante o para llevar.

Fuimos a café Rossi última noche, pedimos un kebab que se traían a la mesa unos minutos más tarde. Comenzó cuando un miembro de meter al personal viene de enfrente y dice 'eso no es suya y rápidamente toma mi comida! Él cerrado mi kebab parcialmente comido y se lo dieron a otro cliente y luego me trajeron uno nuevo. Experiencia raro! La comida estaba bien, pero no volveré.

Sólo me he atrasado - la noche y la entrada hace cola para su finas comida rápida desagradables. Algunos de los empleados son presionados y grosero, mientras que otras son muy amables y serviciales, depende de quién te toque. Todos ellos trabajan juntos detrás del mostrador para darle su comida rápidamente, y siempre es bastante agradable.

Desayuno a un precio razonable. Grandes porciones y servicio amable. Puede estar muy concurrido a veces pero muchas mesas disponibles. La calidad de la comida era normal, pero si quieres un abundante desayuno merece la pena una visita.

Domingo por la mañana y tiempo para tomar un rápido desayuno y un café ya que por desgracia descubrimos que Viga Mercado estaba cerrado. Cafe Rossi en la calle principal sería clasificado como uno de los cafés que puedes pasar sin darme cuenta. Para nosotros fue una ventaja y buena fortuna, ya que se necesita de un bocado ligero. Pequeña cafetería modesto, pero la comida, el servicio y la hospitalidad de primera clase. Alta volumen de lleno y nos dio la confianza de los clientes y no nos decepcionó. Gran lugar para tomar un bocado.

Buscando un lugar para desayunar en año nuevo día. Encontré este pequeño café. Gran desayuno inglés completo con las mejores burbujas y chirriar. Preciosa taza de té. Lo recomiendo.

Got food poisoning after eating a chicken kebab from here on Saturday night. This reminds my why I rarely eat kebabs from these kinds of establishments.

Popped in out of the rain and found a friendly welcome and good food. We had some hot tea. I had a sausage sandwich and my wife did the build your own breakfast with chips, mushrooms, and bacon. All that plus a bottle of water came to just £9.50. We will definitely be returning.

Don't judge a book by its cover. I have been to this cafe before and it appears to be a 'greasy spoon' but the reality is they serve some of the best food in Borough and you will definitely pay more in some of the trendier premises nearby. I had the all day breakfast (£5.50 at time of writing)Plenty of food, cooked fresh, well presented, great value for money. Simply delicious!Save yourself a fortune and get in here for a breakfast but don't tell everyone or there won't be any space for me!

Stumbled upon cafe Rossi yesterday after looking for a good old fashioned London cafe.i had the chips quarter pounder and salad.just delicious.the staff were lovely as you would expect.loved it so much I came back again today with a friend.the chicken salad was lovely and huge portion.i went for the chicken shish salad and rice again beautiful.wish we had a cafe like this in inverness.see you soon .k

Went here for breakfast after hunting around for ages and glad we did. Wide range of food on the menu. Served with a smile by the lovely waitress. Really good value for money the portions are massive, i couldn't finish my sandwich and our waitress bought me a takeaway box so i could take it with me.

Was in desperate need of a proper English fry up and we weren't disappointed. Full English breakfast with generous portions. Welcoming staff and very affordable food. Will be back.

I spent a good part of early Saturday morning looking for somewhere to have breakfast. I was walking along the South bank towards Borough Market and after peering into dozens of darkened café windows I finally found the simple cooked breakfast that I was looking for. Just off the market, this simple, unassuming little café sits with a view of the road and market exterior. The service is excellent, fast and friendly and they had exactly what I was craving: cooked breakfast in whatever combination I wanted it and at a more than reasonable price. The food is no-frills and has a great homemade feeling to it. I ordered scrambled egg (of which there was plenty), toast and two large sausages, which were cooked quickly and served piping hot within minutes with a mug of tea. The value for money is excellent and the food is of great quality; not at all greasy or bland. The rest of the menu, including hot lunch and dinner options, are similarly inexpensive - the most I spotted was just over £7. You would be hard-pressed to find another café or restaurant in the area of such quality and for so reasonable a price.

I just wanted a old fashioned English breakfast at a good price and cafe Rossi delivered. It definitely isn't high class, more functional. I would prefer a better quality sausage but at £5.50 for full breakfast with sausage, bacon, beans mushroom, chips toast eggs a definite plate full I can't rally complain. Much better value than most.

English Breakfasts at their best and plenty of traditional fare at other times too. Don't be off put by the 'Kebab Frontage' - dive inside and you get the value and platefuls of food that were ten a penny 20 yrs ago and now are a diamond to find in the ever NANFCS (Not Another Flipping' Coffee Shop....) environment (there are three 'Prets' within sight of this great cafe!

Went here with my parents for a quick breakfast after a night staying in the Shard for my dad's birthday. Very reasonably priced, nice traditional British breakfast and friendly staff despite clearly being rushed off their feet.

Bei unserem Besuch in London mußten wir uns jeden Tag etwas zum Frühstück suchen, da das Frühstück in unserem Hotel uns einfach zu teuer war. Unser Hotel war das Novotel London City South. Von diesem liegt das Cafe Rossi nur einen kurzen Fußmarsch entfernt (ca. 5 Minuten). Das Cafe ist relativ klein, wenn jemand am Tresen steht, muß man sich schon etwas durchdrängeln um zu den Tischen zu gelangen. Die wenigen Tische hier waren an den beiden Tagen, wo wir hier waren gut besetzt. Wir wählten uns das Full Breakfast. Während ich einen Kaffee dazu bestellte nahm meine Freundin einen Tee. Wenn Ihr euren Tee auf die englische Art mögt so braucht ihr nichts zu sagen, denn er kommt mit Milch. Falls Ihr Euren Tee nicht mit Milch mögt solltet Ihr das bei Eurer Bestellung sagen. Falls Ihr es auch mal deftig mögt, so solltet Ihr das Full Breakfast bestellen. Und so sieht es aus: Pommes, Bratwurst, warme Bohnen, Pilzen, Spiegeleier und natürlich Speck, sowie Toast dazu. Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt und wir konnten gut gestärkt in den Tag starten.

Having been to the market we were desperate to find a place for lunch, I went in here and asked if I would be ok with a small dog we were told we could come in and we sat down and looked at the menu,this place is not the Ritz but pleasant enough and a nice waitress.I had a veggie breakfast which was a right plate full my wife chose a baked potato with tuna mayo which was massive, my daughter had a chicken melt which went down a treat,all the food was very nice,and the bill was just over £16 this included tea for three,a real bargain.

Visited this cafe around 11am on a week day. I was due to give one of my employees a review (30 mins max) so we decided to have something to eat during the meeting as well. We were shown to our table which was two single tables joined together. We ordered and our food arrived. The cafe was busy and during the first five minutes the waitress was pacing up and down beside us looking stressed, without asking she reached across the table and separated it nearly knocking my phone off of it. I asked "what are you doing?" and she said she needed the table. She then continued to pace up and down. Then after several minutes i paused eating, with food still on my plate, and she the waitress picked up my plate to take it away. I said "i havent finished yet!" and she apologised and put the plate back. She continued to pace up and down to the point where i had to tell her that i was eating my meal as quick as i could. finally i finished (total time on table 15 mins) I was in the process of finalising our meeting when the waitress asked us to leave as they needed the table. I obliged but on leaving said that this was totally unacceptable, she just said "its not me its my manager"I went to the till to pay and said to the manager that this was rude and i would not be coming back, He shrugged his shoulders and blamed it on the waitress being new.Dont bother coming here, there is far better food in the market and at "luncheonette" 3 or 4 doors down. Manners cost nothing!

This place is an absolute gem! I can't express how pleased I was with the service and food. Coffee was a bit eh but I'll let that slide because it was so cheap. I was able to get a tailor made breakfast and the waitress was totally OK with this. Big portions and very tasty food and extremely fast service. If you're looking for a cheap breakfast you need to go here!

A Londra con amici, all'uscita della metro per London Bridge troviamo questo posticino di poche pretese che offriva per 5 sterline un full breakfast tipico. Ci fanno accomodare subito e altrettanto rapidamente prendono la nostra ordinazione. La cameriera è stata molto gentile e disponibile, tra l'altro ha studiato l'italiano e si è divertita molto ad interagire con noi nella nostra lingua. La colazione era molto corposa (salsiccia, uova, fagioli, funghi, bacon, pane tostato) e accompagnata ad un succo di frutta all'arancia ci ha permesso di continuare la nostra gita senza dover fare altre soste per mangiare. Buona la qualità. Consigliatissimo!

Found this cafe after looking in vain for somewhere to eat in Borough market - am was very pleased I did come across it. It's a simple cafe, very busy with locals (always a good sign in my book), and with efficient service. The breakfast is very good value for money, sets you up for the rest of the day!

In London last for a medical and was looking for a mug of tea. For the same price as others in the area Café Rossi served up a large bap with two sausages, two rashers, fried egg, and a mug of tea = £2.50. What value.Didn't know there was a sitting area, seemed more like a sandwich bar to me, a narrow corridor in through the door and the serving bar on the right. I hope I got the right place. Anyway I did get the right place, standing in a queue of workmen all after value for money.Great, and will use when in the area.

I found this cafe by chance after visiting Guys Hospital, and Borough market was closed on Sunday. Absolutely great value for money, varied cuisine, English, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, etc. An amazing little place and great value for money. Staff are friendly and inviting. Lovely Irish waitress called Kiera. I had the special breakfast one time and the Paella on another visit. Definitely worth a visit, they make you so welcome and the food and prices are excellent value. A true gem!

Went here on way to shard was looking for another cafe but came across this place. Had a big breakfast for just 4.50! Bargin! Was done very quickly and was very nice . Only downside was I didn't any public toilets inside. other than that very nice.

We found this place on our way to the shard, I chose the bubble breakfast and my husband had the full English which inc chips, we had a large coffee and tea and it was £12, absolutely brilliant, great service and food very tasty, would highly recommend

Typical London greasy spoon cafe near London bridge station. Opens early which is good. Only had coffee and toast, but nothing out the ordinary in terms of the quality of the bread.

Visited this restaurant after a tiring sightseeing around London. It's a nice, little, vosy restaurant. I had chicken wrap & soft drinks. The wrap was so so huge that I managed to complete 90% of it. The service was very good & the waitress was very courteous.

Best place for a late night wrap or kebab!!!!!! They are always friendly there and willing to accommodate drunken requests!

Had a fantastic time looking around Borough Market, and got peckish as time went on. Lots of variety and queues, then saw the pale blue front of Cafe Rossi across the road from the market. Simple, straightforward and great value breakfast. We had bubble and squeak with eggs, beans, bacon,sausage & toasts.Mugs of tea and coffee. £12 all in. Lovely welcoming staff. Then walked it off across London Bridge and Thames River Walk. It's a must.

O café rossi não tem nada que possa recomendar especialmente. É possível comer "comida urbana" e irá agradar especialmente a quem gosta de comidas picantes.

I have no idea about their perfect english breakfast. But i can visit there again only for spaghetti bolognese. Unfortunately the special menu on the board (especially spanish paella) is not satisfying at all.

Greta breakfast and really good value for London. Went here on a Sunday morning before the local places in Borough Market opened. Doesnt look anything special from outside but inside its fine, clean, good service and the food was excellent. We had the Bubble breakfasts and the full English and nothing could be faulted.

Thank goodness the food is good because the service is appalling. Went in here and ordered some pitta and houmous (£1) and some chips (£2.50). I was bewildered to find on the card reader I had been charged £8.50. I simply pointed out this mistake politely and asked if the cashier could change the price. He had served too many portions and so I said I'd only ordered one of each. He refused to change and accept he had made an error. In the end I had to pay as we were getting in a heated discussion and I was embarrassed. However not as embarrassed as when the cashier muttered "f*** off will you" to me under his breath. Absolutely disgusting, I have never been treated in such an appalling manner before. Will never come back here.

Nothing glamorous just a nice little cafe. Good selection of food at reasonable prices, what you'd expect from a Cafe really.

On our recent trip to London we ate here twice during the daytime, and once in the evening.The place is a traditional café see lino floors, formica type tables Etc. I had an all day breakfast both times, the wife had a chicken wrap thing one time which was MASSIVE. Great value. One evening we were in the area so we thought we would pop in for something similar only to find that at night it turns into a Turkish type kebab takeaway and café! We were not as keen on this as it's daytime persona, but again the food was great value. The place does however look like it could do with a damn good clean!

Went here for a quick lunch. It is small so not really great for taking a baby buggy, but they fitted us in. My falafel wrap was really good as was my friend's chicken salad. The menu was pretty big and the other food being brought out looked good. No customer toilets was probably the only down side to this nice alternative to the Starbucks surrounding it.

Due to business trips I had to come to Southwark twice in the last week - and had breakfast here both times.Less than £6 for a full breakfast and drink - well worth the money!I recommend the "Bubble", Bubble and squeak, bacon, sausage, egg,beans and 2 slices of toast.It sets you up for the day!

We were hungry for breakfast and tried this spot. When we walked in and sat down I thought I had made a mistake. All three of us ordered the 4 GPB breakfast. You get chips (fries), sausage, bacon (more like a slice of ham for us in the US), beans, two eggs and toast. It was a decent meal, but get enough to drink to wash down the chips. Are there better options for 4GPB? Probably not. It is in a very busy area, and very close to the London Bridge station - it was convient for us as well. If I or someone in my group wanted a quick breakfast and are not picky, I'd go again. Other reviews mention it seems to be an old bar - for me, that would not be my description. It has about 8 tables, some for 4, some for 2, a counter where you can order take away that also has pastries on display.

Started a visit to London with a good value breakfast in Cafe Rossi - Borough High Street, London. Typical down to earth cafe - no thrills, just good value for money food!

Un locale situato di fronte alla fermata tube London Bridge, ideale per una colazione "corposa" per affrontare una giornata di cammino per la City! Locale molto BASIC, senza pretese, frequentato da operai locali e servizio alla mano. Ottima colazione all'inglese (salsiccia, bacon, uovo, funghi, fagioli, patate, pane e burro) per sole 4£ oppure... Se il vostro colesterolo protesta.... È il fegato urla... optate per un semplice "marmellate & coffee" e orange juice!!! Comunque provate e ci ritornerete tutti i giorni!!! Unico lato negativo: all'uscita puzzate di fritto e strutto!!!

If you want to have a perfect english breakfast you have to go to Cafè Rossi.This is normal bar where you can eat a complete breakfast for only 4 pounds(sausace, eggs, ham etc..), it seems to be at an old american bar in NYC but you a r ein London.I really suggest you this place
