Great breakfast , good portions, very friendly and would certainly recommend, filter coffee wonderful .. will return

Hardly anyone in there. Person serving looked disinterested. Coffee good. Toilet could do with a deep clean.

Having been before a few months ago, we decided to go and take some visitors. Awful decision. Had pancakes, which were listed as ‘pancakes’ but when they arrived it was only one crêpe and they were terrible. Undercooked and soggy. The ones with bacon and maple syrup was awful, bacon was fatty and there wasn’t any syrup. The ones with ‘fresh fruit’ were also terrible... apple on pancakes is not an appropriate fruit and what was said on the menu was misleading. One of them had a hair in it also. Serving pancakes with bacon and a garnish of half a tomato with one lettuce leaf was silly. Did not enjoy at all. Cost £7.50 for one crêpe (not pancakes at all) with a few bits of fruit. Very disappointing. The new staff seem inappropriate, very sad to see how much it has changed. They make you pay up front and now I know why.. because if we payed after we would’ve complained. Very, very disappointing.

We come there for a coffee thinking the owner is Italian and the coffee would be good, big mistake one the worst coffee I ever had in Brighton and it cost £6.00 so not cheap

Horrible Fui a desayunar y vi que compraban cosas allí arriba. Había un hombre fumando afuera de la tienda y una mujer trabajando allí con muy mala actitud. No estoy seguro es dueño! El lugar no estaba limpio y la comida era una vergüenza. No es un buen servicio muy lento! ! ! No volveré a visitar nunca más y El personal parece desagradable para manipular alimentos. Es hora de cerrar este lugar y nos pondremos en contacto con la salud y la seguridad. Evitar a toda costa.

I went to cafe rococo had a lovely breakfast with my girlfriend and the staff is amazing and the pancake are amazing

I was told about Cafe Rococo by a friend of mine and I passed by today, went in for breakfast and coffee. I wasn't disappointed. Lovely tasting coffee and the breakfast was cooked just the way I like it. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Nice coffe and nice cakes very good place for relax in the day time and is open soon in the night time for steak and pizza

Walked passed the place yesterday to see a man smoking inside I’m sorry if you own a cafe you shouldn’t be smoking inside! God knows what they actually do in the kitchen so wrong.

No decaf but went to Londis and bought a jar 🤢 coffee and cake advertised at £5.95 but charged £12 for two of us? Give the cake a miss!

I and my 2 friends went to here to drink coffee and tea. An elder staff member was not very kind to us. He didn't give us the drinks menu. We ordered our favourite drinks. They were really expensive and staff didn't accept credit card. It was a bit disappointing. Otherwise, the venue was nice but the atmosphere was a bit boring. We left after we had finished our drinks. We didn't want to stay there. If you want to drink and study, this is a good cafe for you.

Yesterday, my partner and I ordered a Jacket potato and beans each which arrived only partially heated and 7 bake beans under the cheese, with a very a little salad... The cheese was melted across potato and beans and was quite unapetising. As a local resident it means will no longer visit this cafe I am sorry to say.'.

Wonderful friendly cafe serving the most tasty sandwiches you can buy..Clean and relaxing deco plus the staff were all excellent.

5 stars from staff to food to atmosphere .Had lunch here once and breakfast twice its a great cafe .Pancakes gorgeous and egg sandwiches so fresh the bread was so fresh and tasty .Coffee fab too as was full English breakfast

After being told by the older server with grey hair "I expected you to be difficult" because they had confused our order, we voted with our feet and left without eating. The older man serving could take several lessons in communication and customer service! I have just run the Brighton 10k and he has marred the enjoyment of my day. Only made better by writing this review!! Don't waste your time going here when there are many nicer cafes in Kemp Town. Customers on Google Reviews have also said the same thing about this individual!

Unfortunately, elder staff member was hard to understand and quite rude to me and my peers. Was told Eggs Benedict wasn't available and didn't ask other peers for orders. Was told said foos will be ready in two minutes even when clearly told it wasn't available today. Will never go back again.

We had breakfast here the past two mornings and really enjoyed the food! The hot chocolate and lattes are also delicious. Chilled out vibe.

Tienen el descaro de cargar 9 para un desayuno estilo Wetherspoons y una taza de té. Las raciones eran pequeñas y en general fue increíblemente decepcionante. Este lugar es una verdadera oportunidad desperdiciada debido a su ubicación y la cantidad de luz que recibe. Ve y gasta 5 en Wetherspoons por la misma experiencia.

Went here for breakfast on our short trip away. Went in by chance and ordered egg on toast, the service was attentive and the food was fresh. For the price I was stuffed with the amount of food they gave us. Would attend again.

Found whilst walking into Brighton from very cheap hotel without breakfast. Excellent breakfast. One full English, one yoghurt and fruit and poached eggs. Eggs cooked to perfection. Friendly staff and pleasant decor.

Popped in one Saturday for a light lunch. Ordered a jacket potato for me and a baguette for my daughter. We both enjoyed our dinner a lot and the atmosphere was perfect. My daughter has just moved in locally and I'm sure we'll be back next time I visit.

Lovely little cafe that serves great coffee. The pancakes are freshly made with real maple syrup. My OH had fresh fruit and I had perfectly crispy, thick bacon. We’ve eaten here a few times before and never had a mediocre meal. They obviously take great pride in what they serve and it is always beautiful and delicious. The servers are always welcoming and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Some of the best background music choices I’ve ever heard in a cafe as well! Thanks!

We come here whenever we’re in the area, even if it’s just for a quick coffee! The staff are lovely and the food is exceptional. They offer an all day breakfast menu and on our most recent visit we ordered American pancakes (one lot with fruit & maple syrup, one lot with bacon & maple syrup), they were freshly made and the toppings were also fresh. An all round delicious meal!

We had breakfast here. The tables are small and with three of us we pushed two tables together to give us room for our plates and tea. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was perfect. Would recommend!

I don't do big breakfasts but my husband does. I was able to choose the greek yoghurt with honey and fruit perfect and beautifully presented. My husband had scrambled eggs with sausage and toast he likes and asked for his eggs runny and that's how they came. Very good coffee with hot and cold milk. We didn't find out his name but the guy who was looking after us was very on the ball with everything. We will be going back tomorrow.

There are much better cafes nearby. This is substandard and not even cheap. Try cosiez or wheat and beans.

Visited here for lunch and it was delicious!! We had a BLT on white and one in baguette, both served freshly made, bacon crispy and warm with a dressed side salad. Nice pot of tea, great service and really friendly staff! Highly recommended!!!

Usually a great place for coffee and a cake. Not today. Tables covered in other customers used plates, cups and cutlery. Waited to be served for 10 minutes, no luck. More staff needed on a Saturday morning. Will not be returning.

We had paninis with cheese and bacon, it came with a small salad, lovely dressing and yummy chips.

We were staying round the corner and popped in for breakfast on a busy Saturday morning. It's a small, cosy, relaxed place. The coffee was a really nice roast and the sandwiches we ordered were well presented and tasted delicious.

Had breakfast, no table service and waited ages thinking their was, good standard of breakfast, very clean and price average.

Visited on a Wednesday morning at spout 10am. It was quite busy but the service was still great and it had a cosy relaxed atmosphere. Prices on par with other cafes in the area.

Came for a well-earned drink on a Bank Holiday weekend, the cafe didn't disappoint. I opted for a refreshing 100% fruit smoothie whilst the others in the party went for iced coffees which also went down well. Overall the cafe provided a retreat from the bustling seafront and a pleasant place to enjoy a coffee break, and it is located slightly off the beaten track but worth the find. I would return if in Brighton.

Estábamos impresionados. El pan era buena porque había sido hecha de pan fresco. Mis compañeros de comedor disfrutaron un sandwich de huevo y bacon un sandwich. On a hot summer day I found myself wandering into Rococo again. After cooling down with very nice iced mocha I decided to try their Eggs Benedict this time. Food is always made fresh to order and though it may take a bit long to arrive, it`s always worth the wait. Their prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and prompt dealing with the orders. Today we ate breakfast at Cafe Rococo in St James Street.We haven't eaten here before, but what a lovely breakfast.Quite a basic menu, but this made such a nice change from some of the pretentious menu choices you get in Brighton.I ordered the full veggie breakfast & my partner ordered the full English.2 veggie sausages, egg, baked beans, mushrooms & grilled tomatoes with 2 slices of toast. Really good value for money & really tasty.(I also noticed they served a wide selection of home made cakes, that looked delicious!!)Highly recommended!

10 of us came for cooked breakfasts the morning after a night out and they were so accommodating. The 2 on shift were polite and the food was amazing- we all agreed it was the best breakfast we had ever had (the scrambled eggs were great!) We will definitely come back :-)

This was where our accommodation's breakfast was served. The staff are lovely. The breakfast is made fresh to order and really nice choices.

Our lunch at the Cafe Rocco was short, good and tasty. We decided to spontaneously pop into the cafe as we saw an advert for gazpacho and did not want to miss the opportunity. The soup tasted delicious. Staff was polite and the place was very clean. The atmosphere was very relaxing and everyone seemed to be enjoying their time there without disturbing others.

Tuesday the 4th of April, 10:45 am.Needed to get a prescription from the pharmacy so instead to wait for it at the waiting area, i decided to go at cafe rococo (opposite the pharmacy) to have a single macchiato and a pain au chocolat. I felt very welcome. The lovely guy who was working this morning was very polite, very friendly, and very professional. My macchiato was a good one and my pain au chocolat was yummy. I will be back for sure but next time with some friends. Well done for hiring someone who care about customer. Keep him xxx

Ein hundefreundliches Restaurant in England zu finden ist leider sehr schwierig, hier waren wir jedoch herzlich willkommen! Die Hunde bekamen sogar Wasser. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Essen sehr lecker. Absolut empfehlenswert!

A very pleasant Cafe with a relaxed atmosphere. A friend and I went in for breakfast, the service was excellent, our food came out prompt, was of a good quality and plenty on the plate. My order of American Pancakes with Bacon & Maple Syrup was thoroughly enjoyable.

Warm and welcoming, with friendly staff. Lots of people reading newspapers and books, or working on their laptops. Comfortable, great cakes!

I have been here many times and always enjoy the food and it has a cozy atmosphere. However, the food always takes a long time so be prepared to wait! I had the works sandwich which is great and my friend had the full English which was a good size and very tasty too.

We've visited this cafe for the past 4 years and always receive brilliant friendly service. The food is lovely and the American pancakes are the best pancakes we have ever tasted (no exaggeration)! Highly recommend!

Couldn't ask for more big tasty plate of food for a reasonable price. The staff were friendly too! My wife and I both had ciabatta and chips.

I go here in an out and always get the same friendly and efficient welcome. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant and the coffee and cakes lovely.

I popped in on my way to town as they had a special breakfast deal of a bacon or sausage baguette and coffee. My food came fast but I got given a bacon roll instead of the sausage I ordered. By the time i tried to get attention the young man who had served me he was talking behind the counter. I did also find a small hair under my baguette. The owner is a friendly fellow and the cafe is over all nice with a good selection.

Only been once but so nice food is very good and staff so friendly make you feel so welcome will go again for sure

We had family lunch here. Service was a tad slow and anonymous considering place was empty and we ordered 4 sandwiches. But all plates were cleared and I would go again if I was here needing lunch, it was average price, can't say fairer than that!

Every trip to Brighton I have visited this cafe and each and every time is has been consistently clean, friendly and value for money, overall a clear winner for a stop off for a snack and hot drink.You can eat, drink and people watch and generally watch the world go by without the fear of it ever being crowded and over commercial. Typically only to be found in the best gay establishments like this one.

It was a hard choice to find anything around the area for lunch, and randomly pop in in this little Rococo cafe place.If you want to try something British and handmade, right place to be! I'm sure that around in Brighton hundred places. But personally with friends we tried lovely food.I had rococo salad, was a bit oily but still really nice with garlic bread. My friends got Sausage and mustard mash, which look so nice, and also had ghoulish. Everyone were pleased. So if you around, feel free to pop in and enjoy the meal or lovely cup of tea in this cold days. Hope this review will be helpful, and enjoy your meal

Stopped in Kemptown for something to eat at lunchtime and was delighted to find this small restaurant. The varied menu was most appealing and the food excellent in quality and value. I would eat there again.

Went in for a latte which was perfect and a jacket potato which was perfectly cooked (not blitzed) with yummy melted cheese and fresh coleslaw.

This cafe is in a good location with pleasant decor. The full English breakfast was of a good standard (the bacon was a little over done) and the coffee was also of good quality. Value was also reasonable.

I had breakfast there for 5 mornings. it serves breakfast for lodgers at the beach pad hotel. everything is basic. the coffee is really great, strong and hot. with a good aroma to it. the service is slow. I ended up asking for eggs and toast because I didn't want to wait close to half an hour for breakfast.

Had the breakfast as part of my stay at the Beach Pad just up the street. Very nice breakfast & good coffee!

Kemp Town has always had alot of independant businesses but slowly there is a few big name chains appearing, so it is nice that this place is not only here but busy and popular. Its only a small place but it has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff.For a local cafe the menu is decent. I only popped in for a toastie but could have picked anything. Price is about average for this area, 2 toasties for about £3.75 i think with a little side salad. Really nice, not burnt (you would be surprised how rare that is). Decent little cafe, hope they can keep going with likes of Starbucks now so close by

This is an independent coffee shop in the St James' Street area of Brighton Kemp Town and makes a nice alternative to some of the chains to be found nearby and elsewhere in the city. It's more than a coffee shop, though, with breakfasts of all kinds cooked and continental, plus cakes, slices etc. There are tables just for two or and some bigger ones and four very nice armchairs to settle into with the daily papers which are freely available. The friendly service and good prices (plus a loyalty card for regulars) make Rococo a spot well worth seeking out if you are in this well-visited part of Brighton. Highly recommended.

I have to say, I initially liked the look of this place from the outside. I was visiting Brighton for a conference at the start of May 2015. Following my order, one breakfast and a coffee, it took 40 minutes for anything to arrive. About 35 mins in, I did get the whisper of an apology for the delay from possibly the manager, who at one stage borrowed my salt and pepper for another table, as it seemed there was a shortage. I eventually asked again for my coffee after 30 minutes of waiting. The place was not busy and had three staff on, excluding presumably the cook(s) downstairs, so it seems incredible that they were so slow.The food quality was on the low side of standard fare, the coffee relatively tasteless.After all this, they could not provide me with an itemised receipt (important as claiming back expenses for travel from work) - instead I received one of those old style 'receipts' that just list the amount in faded ink. They signed in pen at the end and dated after I protested, but this will likely be rejected by our accounts department. Ten quid I will never get back and a stressful journey afterwards as it made me late heading back to airport given unplanned time it took to eat.From my time in Brighton, there are loads of great cafes, restaurants and pubs. The people and ambience make it a must-visit, but this is one stop to avoid in my opinion until they get their act together.

Went to cafe Rococo for the first time today as we were in the neighbourhood with time to kill. A pot of tea each £1.80 with at least 3 cups in each. Real loose leaf tea and a selection to choose from. A lovely man served us. Comfy chairs and a nice open space with a good atmosphere even though not many people in.

I had time to kill waiting for a friend so popped in here for a quick coffee and a bagel. Coffee was served in about 10 minutes and was good but my cream cheese bagel took 30 minutes. Wasn't full but I think they had a rush on. The guy behind the counter was a bit gruff with a customer and one of his colleagues. My time was certainly killed but on an empty stomach
