Cafe Riviera in Maidstone

A reasonable little cafe spoilt by disco type music for our breakfast at 7.00 am Unsuitably highly priced . Staff were pleasant, food 7/10

We once again visited this lovely cafe. We were welcomed by Rosie,who is a lovely young lady. We had two breakfasts and one bacon omelette with chips,and teas. It was very nice and we didn't wait long for our food. Thanks to the kitchen staff and Rosie,we shall soon return when we are in Maidstone next.

Fab cafe on the end of the High St near the river. Well worth hunting down and was sparsely populated when we landed just after 10. By the time an hour ish later there was no spare tables. Testament to a superb Breakfast and super friendly staff / service. Can only give my Full English (Set meal 3) five stars. Everything cooked to perfection and good size portion. Washed down with a Fresh Orange juice and mug of tea, started the day at our Rock Festival to a T 😄 Highly recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Visited this cafe again on Tuesday 11th.June 2024. The food was very good. We had 3 breakfasts. The waitress Rosie was lovely,she was very friendly and polite. We didn't wait long for our meals. Very satisfied. Will always visit here when in Maidstone.

Really good food. Very accommodating and friendly staff, and quick service. I can't believe I've overlooked this place in the past, but it is on the outskirts of the town centre. Will definitely return now I know how good it is.

Attended Cafe Riviera for a much needed breakfast following the works Christmas night out. The staff were extremely friendly, the Cafe was clean and tidy and the girls had the option to create their own breakfasts. Perfect option as they were able to get all the Sausage they wanted. See you soon Riveria .

Food good, busy. All going well until payment with Scottish bank notes (for a tip!) was refused. I’ve never been more offended and I’m not a rampant Nationalist

We needed somewhere for a quick breakfast before heading out for the day, saw they opened early so have it a go, and yum! Lovely food and friendly service

Amazing breakfast spot, coffee was lovely and food is reasonably priced, yummy and fast. £45 for lovely big breakfasts for 3 people. The cafe is nice and clean and made for a great fathers day brunch. couldn't really ask for more :))

Had two trips here for an early breakfast. Served by different people each time. Service was good on both occasions and the food was well cooked and tasty. Good coffee to. Good way to start the day.

Excellent all round, cleanliness, service, food and price. Well worth a visit if you are ever in Maidstone. I had a fry up breakfast and the other half had a jacket potato. Portion sizes were wonderfully huge. Will return soon.

So I ordered a tuna, mayonnaise and sweetcorn baguette with added lettuce and FRESH onions to takeaway. However what I got was the above but with fried onions!! I did wonder why the baguette was warm whilst begrudgingly paying almost 8 BLOODY POUNDS!!! Had I of known it was £8 I would of gone to Greggs for a tuna crunch baguette which would come with the correct onions, not be warm and I would of got a drink and bag of crisps for half the price!! VERY OVERPRICED FOR A CAFE!

Have always enjoyed my occasional trips here for a fried breakfast. Service is very good, food delicious and cheap, and you can mix, match and swap different breks more or less at will. You have to endure Heart Radio, but apart from that a favourite place :)

Went here twice while staying in Maidstone. The breakfasts are amazing value for money . Food was delicious and piping hot . Would recommend .

Tuesday(.....eat out to help out day). Clean, deceptively spacious cafe. Ordered a Mega Breakfast with cream-topped banana milkshake for myself, and a DIY breakfast, with coffee, for my friend(......where you choose individual food items to eat). Great idea!. Within only a short while, two large plates of food were delivered to table. Everything was hot and filled the plate! My friend, who paid the bill, said it had cost less than £11 for two!. Two tasty breakfasts, great value for money, with comfortable surroundings!

I took the family to Cafe Riviera for the great Full English experience. My wife ordered and so did my son and daughter and for my granddaughter. The staff immediately brought over some colouring pencils and paper for our granddaughter, lovely. All our food, teas, coffee's were hot and very tasty. A great customer experience for us all, as we were eating more and more customers were arriving, what a popular place this must be, it is now with our family.

Went here for breakfast ordered off the make your own. Service was good and waitress was polite, would recommend and return.

Reasonably priced, really well cooked, fantastic coffee, polite and helpful service. A really good range of combinations of breakfasts and great value for money. What more could you want?

We have been coming to this cafe for 4 years and we go twice a week without fail. Great food with reasonable pricing! I would highly recommend this cafe, we wont go anywhere else now!! Come and visit!!

cafe riviera maidestone kent hasn’t one of the worst burgers i haven’t ever had within the maidstone and surrounding kent areas and that’s isn’t a lot of burgers, was dry and sour and the bun smelt off , watered down after with a gorgeous blendinis which i highly recommend, i’m blendinis.

Been living in Maidstone raising a family for nearly 20 years and after trying many, this is our favourite cafe and we come here regularly. Is not a greasy spoon but clean and tidy inside.Set menu breakfasts up to the belly buster at about £5.50. They do lots of other things like salads, omelets, jackets, etc, etc.Food is really good and unless they are packed like on a Saturday morning, is very quick to arrive.If you are recovering from the night before or setting yourself up for a day's shopping, stop in here and you will become a regular.

Stopped here on the way to work one morning. Good size breakfast, with good ingredients. Service was quick and efficient and everything was very well priced.

Have been here several times now and never disappointed it's also my kids favourite place to eat when visiting maidstone they particularly love the oreo milkshake, yesterday I had the builders breakfast really couldn't finish it it was huge and for price bargain they do huge range all reasonably priced and everything I've tried always delicious fast service and pleasant staff if it's decent cafe your after this definitely best in Maidstone

Clean restaurant, friendly service, good food at fair prices, nice tables , clean toilets and good location. Look forward to re-visiting.

Great service with friendly polite and helpful staff. Great food. I had a roast beef dinner and my friend had an omelette meal which were both cooked to perfection. In fact, i could of eaten another roast beef dinner as it was that nice. We also had a can of soft drink each which was served well chilled. I spent £14.60 for everything and i can"t complain as everything was worth every penny. I also gave the staff a tip for their great service. We only had to wait 10 mins for our food which was good as the cafe was packed with people. Will visit again for sure.

Fuimos a almorzar aquí y como siempre allí la comida es muy buena y los precios son buenos, el personal es siempre muy bonito, es un lugar concurrido, así que prepárate para esperar un poco, pero vale la pena.

Haber tomado mi coche en el garaje para algún trabajo, le pedí al personal para recomendar algún sitio para desayunar. La inmediata dijo Café Riviera y otro cliente de acuerdo.

Siempre nos vaya aquí para nuestro desayuno, el personal y la comida son siempre sorprendente. Ambiente encantador. Y una fantástica relación calidad-precio no puedo recomendarlo lo suficiente alta

Popped in here for lunch, there was a good choice of food, the omelettes looked good and were presented well. Good value and service by all staff. I had the hamburger and chips with a coke for £4.50, and the burger had a good amount of onions and salad on it. Worth going to for a hangover breakfast/brunch as other's enjoying the all day breakfast looked like they were enjoying it too.

This is a good place to get breakfast. The service is fast and there is a good selection on the menu. The prices are very good and it is family friendly. Nothing fancy just good food.

We ate breakfast here, we both had the special, we have mixed feelings on our food, I really enjoyed my breakfast, it was hot and tasty, however my hubby didn't enjoy his at all. It was very busy that day and the staff coped well with peoples demands.

Good eating place for family and children. Wide selection on menu. Attentive but unobtrusive staff. A well-rounded cafe with decent coffee. Do not take credit cards. Open on Sat & Sun. I enjoyed my visit as did the grandchildren. Recommended and will return.

I had heard a lot of good things about this café, although I didn't like the settings, so I decided to go there this morning. I was not a catastrophe, but I was disappointed because I expected much better. The tea and the breakfast were alright, but definitely nothing extraordinary. Once again, I hated the decoration, it looked kind of dirty. I had just been served my breakfast and a waitress was already there to ask me if I was done, and finally they didn't take the card payments so I had to go to the nearest working ATM (which was at NatWest) to get some cash. So yeah, not a catastrophe, but nothing really exciting either...

The perfect place for a coffee, snack or full meal. Always good food and company. Only open during the day, but well worth a visit.... you will return again and again!

Does what it says on the tin!Cheese on toast topped with baked beans. A bit off piste for them although nevertheless delivered on time and with a spanking cup of tea! Friendly staff and very clean.When in Maidstone it's the Cafe Riviera for me...

Our 2nd home when we are in the area! If you like your food plain and simple this is the place to come. The cafe is basic, clean and the staff are friendly. They serve 6 different variations of all day English breakfast or you can make up your own combination from an extensive list. The menu covers 2 sides of an A3 sheet (they also do burgers etc), but we cant go past their egg and bacon sandwich, served just as it should be - fried eggs, fried bacon, between 2 thick slices of plain white bread - lovely!

This is the place for truly great value food. Good choice of menu, excellent price and really friendly staff. Only open daytime, but you won't find better value. Well worth a visit!
