We had our daughters 50th birthday here at Piccolos and had the most wonderful time and meal was really amazing. The staff are so are so friendly .I took over a cake to have after our meal and they were so accommodating and welcoming and let us in to set up the table for the celebrations nothing was too much trouble for them. I recommend Piccolos to anyone who wants to have a relaxed lovely atmosphere and staff so lovely and friendly and of course food made to a very high standard. Will definitely go again. Thank you Piccolos for giving our daughter a lovely enjoyable 50th birthday celebrations. Nanette and Chris Platt.

We had our wedding reception here and from the time we booked it to the day itself, we had excellent helpful service. They go the extra mile to ensure everything is in place and organised ready. We always have fantastic meals and a lovely time at Piccolo and have been coming for years. We brought friends with us on our last visit, one of whom is gluten intolerant and the team could not have gone further to make her visit as inclusive as everyone else’s.

Good food, great staff and lovely place to eat. A little expensive but no one forced to eat there. Only let down was service charge on the bill, whereas i prefer to leave a decent tip. But would eat there again no worries.

A rustic cute restaurant with creaky floor boards and the smell of old wood. Such a lovely find that serves wonderfully prepped pizza (proper pizza), and al dente pasta. I had the king prawn pasta and the prawns were king size! The portion sizes are huge too!! Totally worth going back!

Outstanding food, service, you must book even for a week day evening, looking forward to returning. All the food excellent , but as it is a listed building wheel chair access is a bit tight, but the staff super helpful to get in and out.

We were there on a Thursday evening and there was not a single table available (luckily we booked!). That should be a good enough indication for you of the experience. Highly recommend. Great food. Great staff. Great atmosphere.

There is absolutely no point in beating about the bush; I think this is the best pizza I have had in the south of England. I cannot speak as to the other available dishes. Every time I go I just have to have the quatro stagione pizza. It is absolutely brilliant. Perfect cheese and toppings. Perfect base. The staff are really charming and welcoming. The prices are reasonable and the decor I can only describe as Alpine Italian. Highly recommended.

Food amazing, staff excellent. Went there for wedding anniversary lunch, now our go to choice in Farnham. Italian isn't usually my choice but here I'm very happy, will be going back soon. 100% recommended.

Nice setting. This Italian restaurant has been refurbished and improved over the years. Now it sports a cool air-conditioning environment. It's got a great range of choices on the menu - all the sort of dishes you'd expect. The wine list looked slightly limited. Don't forget to look at the specials. It is certainly worth a visit, and it looks very popular.

My friends and I had an amazing evening out at cafe piccolo - the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially our waitress Bella. I highly recommend any of the pasta options, the pasta dish I had was perfection and will definitely be getting it again! Overall a lovely time with lovely people, will defo be visiting again soon.

Had a meal on a Thursday night and it was a good thing we booked as it was really busy. Food was very tasty and pizzas are a good size. The Bambino pizzas are probably too big for Bambinos . Staff were charming and I'm sure we will return

Today was the first time we have been to Caffe Piccolo but we will definitely return. My wife and I went for lunch and really liked everything about the place. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food is lovely and well priced and you are surrounded by a great atmosphere. We had a lovely table upstairs where we were looked after by friendly helpful staff. Definitely lived up to expectations and all the other great reviews. Dariush and his team do it right.

Was served an amazing gambaroni pasta out with my family today. Impeccable service by a girl with glasses and black hair. I have celiac they were very accommodating. Would recommend if visiting farnham.

My wife and I decided on the spur of the moment to go out foe dinner. We were going to church in Farnham and decided to have dinner at Caffe Piccolo. I had Bruschetta to start and we both had Carbonara for main course. Both starter and main courses were excellent probably the best Carbonara I have eaten in a restaurant. The food makes this restaurant special but the staff service makes Caffe Piccolo stand out for me. Simply Wonderful!!!

A proper Italian! Food was unreal and service was amazing! We’re from Chichester and went to Alice holt park for a walk, googled somewhere to eat after… was very lucky to find this gem! My daughter can’t have dairy or egg and the owner really accommodated that and ensured my daughter had a lovely meal. Would love to return.

Brilliant independent Italian restaurant!

Nice place. staff good but with large parties they get distracted. Food was OK but probably had been delayed before it got to us. Tried the NZ Sauvignon....not great as it was lime and lemon and not gooseberry...I think the restaurant need to get better quality wine in if they want to charge £35 a bottle. won't visit again so no need to reply.

We had another absolutely superb experience at Café Piccolo last night. Our large party were looked after with great efficiency and professionalism by Darius and his excellent team. A nice, slightly quirky little restaurant. The menu appears pretty standard UK/Italian fare. But is better and more imaginative than first impressions. Calamari was really crisp and thinly sliced, so no chewing here! Steak was tender, chips crisp, the Chicken Caesar nicely balanced, spaghetti bolognese rich and filling. Fabulous and really good value. We went here on Saturday night and had a great time. Gorgeous ambience, food was lovely and the waiting staff (and owner) were just brilliant. Thoroughly recommend it.

My family and I attended the restaurant on the 22nd February for my daughters 16th birthday meal. She was recently diagnosed with coeliac disease, so we are slightly new to finding coeliac friendly and safe places to dine out. We felt extremely comfortable, heard, and looked after. The staff were fully understanding and had lots of knowledge surrounding gluten-free and the importance of cross-contamination. The manager came to see us and explained their cooking process, including ingredients used and recommendations for the best GF meals. Service was exceptional. Prices are fair. Food was served hot, presented well, and the atmosphere/ambience was as expected. We felt very looked after. This hidden, little tutor style building in Farnham is a pure gem. We will return.

First visit to this lovely restaurant lunchtime today for my wife's birthday. Fabulous food, great service and humour from the owner Darius. She absolutely loved the complimentary tiramisu dessert. Will definitely return again soon.

Welcoming, relaxed but attentive and efficient service even with a larger party. Good value considering the portion sizes and exceptional quality. Only request would be to offer a lighter bites / smaller portions menu other than the bambino one.

We had lunch in here Sunday afternoon. We had a pizza each, my other half had a Salsiccia diavola and I had a rucola. The bases were really good, although tasty the diavola was not as spicy as the 3 peppers 🌶️🌶️🌶️ would suggest. After the pizza we were too full to have a dessert. We will be back to sample more they have to offer.

went for dinner for my birthday, this is my favourite restuarant in Farnham!! the service was fantastic, Ben our server was very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The manager Matilde made us an amazing sticky toffee pudding and put candles in it and sang happy birthday with the team which was just so nice. My partner and I both had meals of the specials menu, the steak was absolutely cooked to perfection!! would 10/10 recommend to anyone thinking of going to go its just a fantastic restaurant with beautiful surroundings.

Five star review with one negative😒. We booked a table for nine adults on Saturday 27 January 24 at 19:30. The food and service is simply superb and we all loved it. Our waitress for the evening was Mia who was excellent👌. I will just say that we can really only highlight one big negative and that is the compulsory service charge added to your bill. Why is it not down to the customer to decide on how much he/she wants to pay? why should the management feel they have the right to tell you "the customer" how much they want you to pay their staff!!! Totally "Not impressed" with this practise at all. They put service charge on even if you are just a couple as we have found to our cost in the past. When you consider that the majority of places leave tipping solely down to the customer. Some offer an optional service charge instead. With that one negative highlighted, the food we all had was simply amazing. The nine of us only had Starters, Mains and drinks and our total bill came to £452:92, service charge was included in this price and this was a staggering £41:17 which was way to much!!!

The place was packed, and it was a great night. The staff are efficient, timely, and very personable. We didn't wait for long at all for our food, which was fresh and very tasty. Neither my husband or I thought it was expensive either for what we had.

Lovely place. The only dish that was slightly disappointing was the cheesecake, it was really small in comparison to other desserts. Will go again.

I live in Guildford and always go back to this gem. Random find a few years ago. Had 3 starters between two people, they are all good sized portions but we’re greedy. Had the arancini, 3 big crispy rice balls and a big very tasty pot of tomato sauce, and the king prawns in white wine creamy sauce also incredibly tasty. Also had the stuffed mushrooms, delicious! About 5-6 medium to small sized mushrooms for one portion. Received a basket with 4 slices of sourdough bread, unsure which startee this was for but we had it with the leftover sauce from the prawn dish. For main course, my partner had the penne al forno, with chicken and pepperoni, it was mildly spicy and full of flavour. I had the pizza Regina with extra red peppers. Now the pizza is the reason i always come back here, very thin and crispy and you can’t stop eating it. Even ended up getting another pizza to have at home later because we are night workers and usually have another meal around 4 am. We shared a banoffee pie and whilst it doesn’t look like much it was fantastic ! The service was lovely, we had 3 people come to our table over the evening and everyone was very friendly. I wouldn’t say it’s a very expensive place, considering the portion sizes and quality. Cannot praise this place enough. Great atmosphere, busy on a Tuesday evening but we didn’t book and it was fine, not very loud either. Very relaxing and comfortable vibes.

Caffe Piccolo was a perfect place for us (coming from Somerset) and our daughter (coming from London) to meet for lunch. The staff were delightful, thoughtful and efficient and the food was delicious. We will certainly be back.

Walking into this restaurant makes you feel like you're in Italy! the staff are so friendly and the owner is funny and cheerful. The food was not too expensive and was good. The calamari was a bit overcooked, but tasted OK. The fettuccine with scampi was good.

I've eaten here quite a few times recently, often just with my daughter, with my family and with a big group over xmas, we are never disappointed. We love the atmosphere in the restaurant, all the murals, the fireplace and the general decor. Lots of staff who are all very attentive and my daughter loves how friendly everyone is. Our favourite menu item is the seafood pasta, all the steaks, salads and the pizzas are great as well! Restaurant is well managed always really busy but we've never had a long wait or any issues. Great to have a restaurant like this is Farnham, also great they close over the new year period to give everyone a good break!

Took my friends here as had been before and enjoyed the atmosphere as much as the food which is important to us when we go out. Lovely food and staff very attentive even though was busy Friday night in December. My friends were pleased with my choice and we will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Darius and his team are fantastic hosts. We held a gathering for over 50 people and the space worked perfectly. The staff were extremely accommodating and were able to deliver delicious food for hours. Will definitely be back again. It’s a beautiful space, and works equally well for a meal for two people wanting a quiet dinner together.

Great place for a birthday meal

Five of our family came here to have a Christmas get-together meal on 23 December. We all had starters and mains but none of us were able to attempt a dessert as well. I opted for the Prawn Gamberoni Starter off the specials board. The other starters were all very nice. Two of us had the Lasagne, and Two had the Spag Bol and One the Spag Polpette. The food was all superb as was the service. It was very busy which is a good thing but we do find the prices a little steep. I still do not like having the service charge added and this was not even optional on our receipt. Our bill before the service charge would have been £185:15 for five of us. We then had the compulsory 12.5% service charge added and had to pay £18:51 taking our bill over £203:00 which was to much. I would have liked the option of giving the tip I wanted to give and would have given £10 but this option is not available here. Having said the negative comment about the service charge this is still one of the best restaurants in Farnham. The building is unique and so traditional. There is no parking assigned to this place so the Hart car park around the corner is your best bet.

The most rubbish service ever the waitres treated us as invisible she never once came to our table after giving mains ,no dessert ☕ or drinks she contracted on flirting with some lads ,I was going to walk out without paying it was so bad My friends talked me out of it .we complained as we even had to hund down somewhere to pay Terrible won't be back and wil bad mouth you to every in Farnham

As part of a couple of days away with the family for my wifes birthday, we were staying at the Hogs Back Hotel. We decided that Italian was the dinner of choice and looked around online. Caffe Piccolo showed up with some good reviews and we went for it. Having not booked, we turned up hopeful and despite a full downstairs, my wife was led upstairs and seated while I found somewhere to park. Once seated we were offered drinks, which arrived fast, and given menus to browse. Pizza, pasta, risottos, the works! Plenty of choice for everyone! I went with a pizza ricula while my wife chose a baked pasta from the Al Forno section. As a couple with an 8 year old, we are often faced with a kids menu of burgers, nuggets and chips so it was refreshing for him to chose from the Bambino menu of freshly made Italian classics but smaller portions. Highly recommend a visit to Caffe Piccolo if you are ever in the area.

We had lunch a few weeks ago in this restaurant. First of all, I would like to mention how kind and gentle were the two people that served us, a young man and a young lady. What a great service and people. The food was really nice with a rich menu to select from. The deserts are homemade and just amazing!

I are here a few weeks ago with a group of friends & really enjoyed it. So last night I went back with a different friend after raving about it. Sadly it didn’t match my 1st experience. Started off great with a friendly welcome. We were taken to our cute table on the very top floor. Restaurant was warm & cosy & the smell of garlic was very inviting. Although it was a Saturday night it didn’t seem manically busy & by the time we arrived the bigger parties were pretty much finishing up. We were served our drinks quickly & placed our starter/main order within 10 mins. Garlic bread starter was tasty but soggy. Mains were a pasta dish & the Gorgonzola rib eye. My steak was nice but only lukewarm. I’d have sent it back if anyone had bothered to come ask how our food was but they didn’t. This sadly set the scene for the whole meal. When we finished our plates were removed but we were not offered more drinks - our glasses were obviously empty. No one asked if we wanted desserts or coffee which we did & we were simply ignored. Irritated, we waited 10 mins as we were happy chatting but we watched the girls serve other tables their coffees etc & decided that they deserved no more of our time or money. I managed to finally get the bill & we showed our disapproval with the inattentive “service” by omitting their tip as it was undeserved. Not sure I’d bother returning which is a shame as the food & prices are good

Café Piccolo has been a Farnham institution for years now, other business's have come and gone and this has stayed going strong and that says a lot. Staff are friendly and attentive, food is tasty and good value and the atmosphere is always top notch. Cant fault the place.

We met friends for a meal. Friendly, helpful staff. Good choices on the menu as I'm dairy and yeast intolerant. The food arrived quickly, portions were good sized and tasted wonderful. No rush to pay and leave. A lovely evening

We met friends and found this place by chance. What a night. Wonderful food, good portions, great service and no rush. We stayed a while talking and catching up with our friends and the owner brought complimentary Limoncello. I wish this place wasn't 150 miles from home. I had Bruschetta as a starter followed by a Calzone pizza and a very light chocolate cake with fudge and ice cream. Much more than I needed but when food is this good... I would use again and recommend if you are in the area.

Ate here with my partner. If I was giving a review for my meal alone…. Spaghetti with meatballs it would have been 1 star only. The meatballs were awful… tasted synthetic and nothing like meat. Really disappointing. Couldn’t eat them. Spaghetti sauce was ok. I wouldn’t recommend as a dish. I have given it 3 stars because my partner’s meal, a rib eye steak with chips was v good. So a real mixed bag. Atmosphere lovely, staff v attentive and polite. Such a shame food isn’t consistent across the board. We ate here a few yrs ago and felt that despite the good reviews it was average. Decided to give it another go but I left v disappointed.

This had always been our favourite restaurant but was very disappointing on this occasion which was our small wedding reception. The bruschetta starter was cold. The creamy pasta main dish ordered by one of our guests was left and who was overheard saying it wasn’t very nice. She also only ate half her starter. She was too polite to say why. We were very embarrassed, having previously raved about this restaurant. Won’t be going back anytime soon.
