Nice little place. Popped in for a cake and coffee. Gluten free options on a Sunday are pretty sparse. Also make sure you say to the team, because cross contamination may occur otherwise.

We visited today & had the vegan chilli, which comes with wedges or salad; it was delicious! There was also a vegan soup option, but we did not try this. Some more vegan options would be good, but otherwise a great place

Nice food but no where near enough for the price! Cannot believe what I was charged for a stuffed courgette and tiny bit of salad on the side. The leaves had all gone limp anyway. Really disappointed

**Review for Café Paradiso, Chichester** I visited Café Paradiso in Chichester today for the second time, and while the coffee was acceptable, my experience was slightly marred by the service, or rather, the lack of it. Upon entering the café, I noticed there were approximately five waitresses behind the counter, all engaged in a lively conversation about various topics, none of which appeared to be work-related. While I understand that staff need moments to chat, the situation became awkward as I stood there, uncertain of the protocol. My friend had already found a table, leaving me to wonder if I should wait for my coffee at the counter or if it would be brought to our table. After a few minutes of standing there, watching the girls continue their conversation, one finally began making our drinks. I politely asked if it would be okay for me to sit down while they finished preparing the coffee and have it brought over. To my surprise, the response was, "No, not really. Can you wait here until I finish and then take them yourself?" With five staff members present, none of whom seemed occupied, it was disappointing that no one took the initiative to offer to bring the drinks over to our table. Instead, I was left to stand there for several minutes, waiting while the drinks were prepared. It was a small issue, but one that could easily have been handled with a bit more attentiveness and customer care. Even the manager, who was present, did not step in to improve the situation. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a significant problem, but it's a detail that, if addressed, could greatly enhance the customer experience. A simple offer to bring the coffee to the table would have made a big difference and been much appreciated. Other than this minor hiccup, the coffee was fine, but the overall experience left me hoping that the management might consider this small tweak in their service approach. It’s the little things that often leave the biggest impression.

Friendly staff and reasonable price. A few more vegan options would be helpful. Clean and serene environment.

Two coffees, both a little bitter for us. Service very good, ambiance good, food looked amazing - back sometime to sample.

The coffee and cheese scone were very nice but rather spoilt by over exuberant noisy staff. Also a bit embarrassing with only one door between the toilet and where we were sitting.

What a fortunate find! As strangers, visiting Chichester for the first time with one vegetarian in our group we had no idea of vegetarian offerings in the town. It was a bit of a stroll to a quite end of town, but totally worth it. We all tasted each others dishes, and agreed that all choices were absolutely delicious. Simple, unpretentious cafe style atmosphere. Excellent food at very reasonable prices (by today's standards)......£15 a head (March 2024) including drinks. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious Aubergine Parmigiano however disappointed in the type of salads offered ( compared to past experience ) some with a slightly bitter aftertaste and the coleslaw with a surfeit of mayonnaise. A shame as enjoyed eating in the original Cafe.

Just experienced the worst lunch I can remember. Went for the sandwich option which was a mistake as I chose cheese which I thought was a safe bet. Sadly the cheese was the tasteless grated variety, comparable with a version you expect to get in a supermarket. This was not improved by the bland sliced bread and a few slices of tomato. The only factor setting it aside from a petrol forecourt version was that I didn’t have to take any wrapping off it. Given there was a choice of cheese or egg I was not exactly spoilt for choice. My expectation that it would be enhanced by perhaps a few leaves of lettuce/dressing etc or even a few crisps was clearly a leap too far.

Lots of seating indoor and outdoor. Good lunch options with a range of cakes and bakes too. Tasty, home made vegetarian food.

Good coffee. Service efficient and friendly. Always our first stop in Chichester. We will definitely return.

Cafe Paradiso is a vegetarian cafe. The menu is limited but varied.Slightly more expensive than other cafes but food is exceptionally good. The cafe is clean with inside and outside eating. Service is very quick and helpful. Even for a meat eater it is a good place to grab a meal.Recommended.

Excellent quiche with salad - and a nice coffee too!

We went to Chichester today and had lunch in Cafe Paradiso. We had walked past it yesterday and the display of cakes in the window made our mouth’s water. Looking on Google maps today I see the label includes the word vegetarian. This is not clear from outside the shop or when waiting in the queue to order food. We had an egg mayonnaise sandwich each and shared a curry vegetable slice. Also a pot of tea each. This totalled £21.00. the food was fresh and very tasty. The lower score reflects the lack of posting about the shop being vegetarian and the negative reaction of the staff member when my husband asked for a tuna sandwich. I am vegetarian so the preference of the cafe to be vegetarian was not a problem. It was more that there did not appear to be a list of sandwich options displayed when we looked from the queue therefore we did not know and felt uncomfortable by the staff member‘s reaction. Another point is that the cafe was very busy but food had to be ordered before finding a table. This causes a concern that food may be ordered but there may be nowhere to sit and eat it. All this being said we would go there again if we are in the area.

Excellent food and service. My first visit but won't be my last. Highly recommend.

Food is ok, nothing special. Couldn’t get to the bathroom, bcos there is only cubicle for the whole place. No wifi, reception is really bad. Price vs quality 3 out of 5

I loved the afternoon tea for a birthday celebration, lovely gardens and people, and the cakes and scones were huge. The lady who organised it was lovely, there have been ocassions I have visited over the last couple of years, and sometimes the atmosphere from staff isn't as friendly, it can feel quite off putting when staff are sitting at the table together chatting at the front of the cafe

We are not vegetarian but I have no problem with recommending this as a place to eat. The food was lovely, the service was great, the garden a cooler place to sit and eat than out in the high street.

We stopped by for a late lunch and managed to get some of Cafe Paradiso’s vegetarian lasagne. The lasagne was tasty, and I particularly enjoyed that I was able to select what sort of salads/veggie accompaniments I wanted instead of being served a standard unseasoned leafy salad many eateries go for. The pastries were nice as well, although maybe a bit dry. The cafe is dog friendly with a spacious outdoor area, and the staff even offered our pup some dog biscuits. Lovely little place.

As someone who has been a vegetarian for over a half of my life, I love finding exclusively vegetarian restaurants. This is a really good one. They have a huge variety to offer, many salads to choose from as a side. It's set out in a canteen style so you can see all the wonderful dishes. It will take you awhile to decide but don't think you can go wrong with any of them. They also have some lovely looking pastries & sweet treats. Fantastic value for money & the staff were very friendly. Definitely will go back.

Didn't eat but popped in here late Friday afternoon in the rain, they had stopped serving in, and were only doing 'Take Away' and were in the process of cleaning ready to close. So in truth I was in the way I guess. However I just wanted to ask a question and grab some advice, the ladies behind the counter stopped what they were doing, and offered some great advice, even directing me to where I needed to go. Thank you. Can't comment the food but lovely customer service none the less.

Didn't order anything to eat or drink, but I just wanted to share my wonderful experience in this café. I was in trouble, and the staff was very helpful and understanding. The ladies really saved my life, and I'd like to acknowledge that. Next time I'm in Chi privately, I'm definitely popping in to say hi 👋 would recommend!!!

Food is pretty good but staff and atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. My experience has been you're lucky if you get a smile from any staff despite smiling at them and trying to be friendly , I sense they're not bothered about the customers. Quite rude actually. Contempt comes to mind. No atmosphere in cafe. This could be a great place with the right people in place to serve and push it to what it could be. After a few visits we won't be returning.

When I ate here the other day I had forgotten that it was a vegetarian café/restaurant. However, it didn't matter because the food is excellent and there is a lot of choice.

Nice little cafe. It's a little bit pricey, especially when it's not even table service. I enjoyed it but would've preferred to have been served than stand at the counter.

Lovely little vegetarian cafe. Perfectly situated whinin the centre of Chichester. A good menu to choose from, including vegetarian Lasagna, vegetarian quiche, and good selection of cakes. Order at the till if ordering cakes, etc. table is available when ordering hot food. Highly recommended.

This is my second visit went with some friends and spent a few hours eating and catching up as usual very friendly staff good honest vegetarian food 🍲 Has a really nice atmosphere with a wide variety of clientelle obvious some are regulars and some just visiting the city Will no doubt we will be back for another visit soon

Nice food thank you but with both the front door open and the entire rear folding doors wide open it was too cold for my wife and myself.It was interesting watching people around us remarking about the cold. Maybe in the summer but not at this time of the year surely. When we go back we’ll ensure the place is warm enough before ordering our food. Moan over!!!

On the whole very nice lunch a couple of the salad options had run out and replaced to late for our meal otherwise may have got a five.

One of my favorite places to visit for vegetarian food, always made fresh on the day, lots to choose from, the salad is amazing.

Whilst we aren't vegetarians we were walking past and the café and food looked inviting. The café was reasonably busy and we stopped just before midday for an early lunch. I tried the spicy chickpea pasty, which was very tasty, with my coffee. Service was via the counter and whilst we found a table quite easily it did get quite full by around 12.15. We would happily eat here again.

Whenever we are in Chichester we always make a point of visiting this delightful cafe. The food is homemade, healthy and wholesome. There's always a great selection of hot savoury dishes and comprehensive salads. Loads of homemade cakes and pastries are available. There's plenty of indoor seating and a lovely rear garden when the sun is out. However be very careful in the garden as there's a seagull who will steal your food if you're not observant. Great staff, very friendly. We'll be back soon. 👍

This is a great little cafe.Good, healthy food, reasonably priced and nice staff BUT they have been serving the same food for decades!! Vegetarian food is much more mainstream and imaginative and tasty alternatives are easy to find. I want to keep visiting cafe Paradiso but would love to find some new and creative options on the menu.

Great vegetarian cafe (we are nit vegetarian just enjoy great food) , lovely food, amazing happy staff, lovely garden, clean not too noisy, even a suspicious seagull (with his own wanted style poster ) warning sign advising everyone of "Steven Seagulls" food stealing antics. Very funny.

Bought vehicle just over a year ago and extremely satisfied with our purchase. Good honest vehicles at a fair price would describe this garage.

Had coffee and scones, the coffee was fine but scones were awful. My cheese scone had uncooked dough insde, my husbands fruit scone was the opposite , it was so overcooked, dry and solid making it inedible.

Very pleasant place with outdoor seating. We only had coffees but the food looked good, especially the salads.

The staff looked after us very well for my mother's 80th. Delicious unfussy vegetarian dishes and delicious puddings. Very accommodating of dietary requirements as all collected.

I'm not a vegetarian, but their Chilli non Carne is amazing. Tasty, spicy, but not too hot. My wife and son had the vegan creamy tomato soup, which wasn't the best vegan tomato soup, nor was it the best vegetarian tomato soup, but the best tomato soup we'd ever eaten!! Simply stunning. Their desserts and puddings are brilliant too! Next time we went I had the Savoy cabbage and leek filled jacket potato. I wouldn't have tried that anywhere else, but at Cafe Paradiso I'd try anything. It's always, always excellent.

Got some food to eat in which was okay, but the staff wasn't able to explain what the different food options were. We got some pastry to go which was dry and tasteless.

To be honest this is the only place in Chichester that I eat I love the place and the team are great
