Excellent food the service is good but it can be a little noisy at times.

Enjoyed dinner there very pleasant staff.

A great experience, nice location, great service and tasty food. Vicki who looked after us was great, very friendly, knew the speed we wanted to eat, and was attentive and nearby when needed.

Last night we celebrated my fiance's birthday.We received champagne on the house, unexpected and pleasant. Tasty food, calm atmosphere, friendly and kind stuff. We will definitely come again. We loved it here at Cote Chichester! 💙

Sadly a solid "meh" from the moment we walked in to leaving. And 10% service charge added for our convenience (for 4 of us). Much could be improved by a smile from the front of house staff.

Verg good service and it was my birthday, my friend and I had a glass of Prosecco on the house.! Very nice Food and Staff were nice and attentive too. We thought the Female Front of House was grumpy though.!

Had a beef bourguignon which was burnt on top . The beef underneath was OK as was my wife's fish stew . But while we were there another couple sent there food back as undercooked and not warm enough. Remember our last time there were problems with the food. So next time we're go to Blanco Brasserie as never had any problems with the food or the service 🤔

Côte is a go to for me. As a chain I’ve always been guaranteed of a clean, well maintained and cosy space, good quality food and attentive but not intrusive service. Unfortunately the Chichester branch didn’t quite hit the mark. On entering and being seated the place seemed less than clean. The table was a little smeary and the menus when they arrived were old, torn and covered in grease spots which was unappetising. In ordering a Gin & Tonic I was asked what kind of gin. I asked if they had Tanquery and the answer of “nope” was extraordinarily dismissive and verging on rude. I was then informed they only had French gin which was less than helpful. I wasn’t aware and was not made aware there was a separate Gin menu. The food was ok, my Steak was a little in the chewy side. The charcuterie board, which we shared, was uninspiring and when my Dad’s Moules Frites arrived they were sorely lacking in frites. To put into context it wasn’t a disaster but the disappointment was amplified because I usually look forward to visiting a Côte Brasserie because they’re usually, dependably good. The Chichester branch feels lacking in the details

We love Côte & have visited many times at different ones. The food & service was good. Just what you’d expect really. I do find with Côte restaurants that they are pretty consistent.

A party of 8 of us turned up on a July Monday evening, we were able to sit together and we were treated well.

Prix fixed menu. Good value, good service and good food.

Breakfast - disappointing to say the least. It used to be so good here. No wonder it was nearly empty at 10-30am on a Saturday. Coffee was good, breakfast menu is awful though (pretentious) and we both got anaemic sausages, which we daren’t eat as they weren’t cooked through. Bacon was nice but whole breakfast was nearly cold by the time we got it. Other than that, perfect. Surprisingly we won’t be going again.

I am visiting with my sister while I'm on holiday from Australia. This restaurant was absolutely charming. The service was brilliant and the food was exceptional. Our waiter, Isaac, was delightful and attentive to all our needs. I hope to come back while I'm in England. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Very good food and excellent service, returned to take advantage of the Mon-Wed steak offer; whitebait to start and a sirloin with peppercorn sauce for me, grilled chicken for my partner, excellent service again!

Excellent food and drinks. Amazing service, very well trained staff , elegant approach when dealing with clients. No children running around, no loud or disturbing groups. A classy place to truly enjoy a meal .

First experience at this restaurant. Whilst food nice and service acceptable albeit a tray full of crockery being dropped by one young server, it was only when I got home found a service charge of £16 - £4pp had been added to the bill. Would like to go back but above slightly puts me off.

Extremely slow service. It would have been faster to drive to the seaside, hire a boat, catch a fish and cook it than wait for our meal (fish parmentier, chicken salad, haddock goujon, pasta bake). The pasta bake included pasta but it was definitely not bake, rather just fusilli with a sprinkling of peas in a curdled cheese 'sauce'. The french onion soup was inedible even after adding hot water to thin out the sludgey mixture (perhaps they got the ratio of hot water to soup mix wrong). The waiter told the kitchen we wanted ourstarters first then the main meal when we had actually asked for everything to come as soon as it was ready. The manager refunded part of our meal which was a kind gesture but does not make up for lost time. I do not recommend eating here at all.

We ordered beef bourguignon and all is dry chewy meat. And ordered sirloin steak, it’s overcooked and meat is not good as well. They used to be delicious , but really disappointed this time, what happened to this restaurant? Updated after 9 months, I visited the same place again and everything seems better than the last experience, including food and service, so I updated my review to 5 stars. Great job!

Amazing place to eat. Excellent service and food! Having returned to eat there recently our waiter, Jamie went above and beyond. He was amazing with my mum! A credit to their team. The food was fabulous as always.

Went for an early dinner whilst staying overnight in Chichester. Fancied something of quality and not Asian or Italian. Having been before a few times, Cote sprang to mind. We mixed and matched from both A La Carte & Prix Fixe menus. Great tasty food, well cooked & presented. Service was attentive. There was a glorious French Onion Soup, charcuterie board and my salad Nicoise with fresh seared tuna was spot on. I opted to finish with a 'cafe gourmand' - 3 little bites with a coffee. This chain provides consistent quality and a genuine French feel.

The steak was poor quality and more well done than medium. The salad was ridiculous and a couple of tiny leaves.

Isaac was our waiter and very friendly and helpful. We will return.

Went here for a quiet dinner with my wife. Food was amazing and service tip rate. The scallops starter was incredible, the rib eye top notch and their take on the creme brulee was really interesting. Great service and will always come back for another meal!

Joe made us all feel very well looked after and my son was especially pleased with his high fives and jokes. The food was delicious and the children's menu was great - real food and not 'junk'. We will definitely visit again!

Really disappointing. What used to be our favourite place to eat is now somewhere we will not go back to. Negatives : change in breakfast manu(garden breakfast on the new menu is truly disgusting), cups that are not washed properly and to top it up dog hair in my food, my husband asked for poached eggs instead he got hard boiled, things that were nice : a croissant and streaky bacon with toast. I would recommend eating somewhere else like Bills in Chi or The Deck in Emsworth.

The best thing about Cote Chichester for me is the exceptional customer service. The food is great but it's amazing to see the wonderful ballet of organisation that goes on in the restaurant, to ensure you are catered for.

Following several visits welcome, service and food are consistently good and prices are competetive.

Recommend for the table d hote menu good value and tasty. Would not recommend for breakfast menu, food not as good and despite manager pulling out all the stops not well supported by waiting staff.

It was my Birthday and my friend treated me to a lovely meal. My first time of visit to Cotes and loved it was a lovely treat.

Since changing hands it's gone very much down hill from what it used to be. Had to advise them what a soup spoon is. Food not up to the price asked. Lamb dry.

Had a great experience today in this fine establishment. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was beautifully presented and tasted sublime. I would happily say this is one of best restaurants in Chichester.

Fishcake was lovely but the rest was not good at all . Very tough meat and that’s after we’d upgraded the steak which is a shame as staff were good and did replace it but still tough and chewy, we’ve been so many times before so felt very let down this time!

We have eaten there several times and the dishes have always been excellent. Today the food was really very very badly prepared. I don't know what changed, maybe the chef, but I'm really very disappointed.

Good place to eat but don't seat near the door during busy times you may have people waiting right near your table

We were a party of 6 but according to the bill we morphed into a party of 7. The table behind ours also had an extra guest added to their bill. Mistakes do happen agreed but doesn't give customers confidence they are not going to be ripped off. However, the food was good. Service was average.

Great tasty food with good service

Lovely food. Steak tartare, moules frites, crème caramel, and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. We all enjoyed the food and service. We will be back and I most probably will order exactly the same.

Wonderful lunch. Had French Onion Soup, Beouf Bourguignon, White Chocolate Mousse with a nice dry Prosecco. Brilliant.

Visited for a birthday meal. Asked for olives and bread to snack on, however these never arrived. Needed to ask for these to be removed from the bill. Meal was good. Shame that no options were available to have the steak tartar as a main dish. Only resolution is to have a starter sized main, brought out with the main dishes.

The Chichester Côte is by far and away the best of this chain I have visited. I always come back here when I have the opportunity. The ambiance is great and the staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Could not recommend highly enough.

What a find this place was! We stumbled upon it on Black Friday for a cheeky lunch out whilst shopping. It was packed but they fitted us in, might book next time to guarantee a space Amazing food and amazing staff, so friendly . Not hurried at all. I'm a vegetarian and I choose the Warm Beetroot salad and then Mushroom Bourguignon. Amazing!!! Definitely going back. Thank you!

We used to love Cote before we stopped eating meat 4 years ago but once we became vegetarian stopped coming as we felt we weren't well catered for but I checked their menu the other day and was blown away by the change. They really are presenting people with great and innovative choices. The Mushroom Bourguignon was out of this world. If you are Vegan or vegetarian please give it a go.

Had a Birthday lunch here today for my daughter and found it excellent, from the moment we arrived made to feel welcome and have eaten at the York Cote before so knew it was going to be good, but this exceeded my expectations, Food Excellent, Staff Cassandra and Vicky very Friendly and Proffesional wishing her a Happy Birthday, waited for a candle but instead the birthday girl received her meal for free! We were both astonished, what a surprise and so pleased, a Birthday to remember. Thankyou to all the staff and Chef, really Outstanding. Well done👍👏

Good place for a relaxed supper. Always reliable and tasty. The confit de canard is always good, and another had Beef Bourguignon, another the Bream in an unusual chicken sauce that worked well. House red pleasant. Good choice of Gins too.

Cote despite being a big chain always delivers in terms of quality. The food we had this evening was excellent and great value for money.

We have been to this Cote Restaurant many times; their breakfasts are excellent. It is important to book at all times since this restaurant gets particularly busy. Depending which chef is on duty, dishes can vary particularly at lunchtime. Waiting and table staff are always polite and very efficient. The Cote motto 'the guest is king' usually works and they try and accommodate your special requests.

All aspects of our visit to this restaurant were excellent.

The food was fantastic. The only complaint was the wait time for food and refills.

A delicious hearty lunch of the 'relaxed not-hurried' french kind. Good service with a smile and delish' food.
