Definitely not dog friendly, dog hating if anything. Moody hostess and probably the worst coffee I’ve ever had in my life

Ideal location for social events and very friendly staff who were accommodating. It was a planned outdoors company get together and Tracy couldn't be more helpful in even offering to put up a marquee in case of rain. Event was a great success with 30 + people turn out.The food was lovely and plenty of drinks on offer. We would 100% recommend.

Excellent service from a very friendly team. Had the most delicious lunch there today, followed by a very tasty Victoria sponge. As a local, this will certainly be my new hang out. Highly recommend

Visited a garden open for the NGS in nearby St Botolphs Road and they signposted us to this cafe. Paid by card and didn't check prices so, going by Q1615VOpaulp's review, probably not cheap. However, good quality and cakes tasted home-made. Lovely situation at 1 of the highest points in Sevenoaks so great views. AND I finally realise, aged 66, that the 7 oaks are actually at the edge of the cricket pitch here, not Knole Park!! Nice also that the 6 original replacement trees that were vandalised were replanted/replaced.

Was working in the area of Sevenoaks and stopped for a coffee. Biggest mistake ever as see a few people come out with normal size coffee cups so ordered 2 flat whites that’s cost £2.60 each. Was asked to wait outside whilst they made it. When the coffees come out they was in the smallest cups ever. Felt ripped off as I asked for refund and got told no and they are the universal size for flat whites ! Never heard of so much rubbish as these cups was tiny. That small that a kiddies plastic cup is bigger.

Love the new soup range with a warm roll. Chorizo and cauliflower has been my favourite. The staff work very hard and always have a smile on their face

My wife and I popped into this pleasant cafe on a Friday lunchtime on a chilly November day. We had often walked past before but it was always very busy. It is small. 4 tables inside or thereabouts. Seating outside but too cold for us. The ladies running the cafe were very welcoming and friendly. But it was a little manic. Just the two of them serving and making up the dishes was at times chaotic. But they made light of this. The two latte’s we ordered were not that hot but this is a regular occurrence regrettably. I should have requested them to be served hot, as other customers I observed requested. My wife had the butternut squash and pumpkin soup which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had what turned out to be one of the nicest ploughman’s lunches I’ve had. Superb! All in all, very good. We will return.

A short stroll from central Sevenoaks. Worth the 3 minute walk to escape to a very charming café set in the historic Vine Gardens. Look one way across the oldest Cricket pitch in the country and look the other way across the charming Vine Gardens planted with stunning rare Rhododendrons from the nearby Reuthe’s Nursery & Gardens. Food is good, coffee decent and prices average.

This is an attractive little coffee shop and café in a great location on the edge of the cricket green in Sevenoaks. The staff are friendly and efficient, the coffee is good and at a fair price. There's just enough room for a few tables inside the café, but ideally if the weather is fair sit outside at one of the tables at the edge of The Vine Gardens and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Very good.

An ideal place to have a drink and sit outside with the cricket ground, bandstand, and lovely gardens. Friendly staff, though sadly coffee wasn't good. Made with skimmed milk which made it too weak. I didn't ask for a skinny Latté? Next time, please ask...

The food at The Fountain is, for a pub, truly and consistently stunning. Everything home-made on a varied and changing menu (almost always with specials of the day, including a top-notch and generous sized Pie), the dishes reflect Chef Fern’s wide travels and culinary expertise, with ingredients carefully sourced. We’re not local to the area but the food is so good and it’s such a welcoming (and very dog-friendly) pub, courtesy of both co-owners, Fern and Toulah, the Fountain has become our (and our dog’s) lunchtime “local”. On our most recent visit, we had a starter of incredibly tender Octopus on a bed of puréed potato and leaves, followed by the Fish of the Day - perfectly-cooked Cod with a Chorizo crumb with perfectly-poached free-range Egg on top, with accompanying veg. DELICIOUS. Do yourself a favour and visit this gem of a pub in Cowden.

Have been to Brands loads of times but never eaten in the kentagon up until now, pleasantly surprised when we decided to try the breakfast. Good value taking today’s prices into account and quality ingredients cooked well. Did have to queue up but the service was quite speedy, it was nice to sit down and eat / warm up on a cold January day.

We really liked it, the service was spot on and the food was great. The only complaint was the volume of the TV. Perhaps we are just getting old! The menu was quite small, but they also had two specials on offer on top of the standard menu. All food, I believe, is home cooked, so the smaller menu is completely forgiven on that score. One of us had the burger and the other the chilli. Both meals were excellent and really nicely presented. We also shared a starter, which was equally as good as the mains. All the staff were really good and the pub had a lovely atmosphere, really traditional which we love. The rugby was on the television in the area where we were seated, and there was just one person watching it. On full blast, it was difficult to have a conversation at all, which did slightly spoil the occasion, we did mention it to the man as he had the remote, but he was obviously a rugby fan, having said that we did enjoy it and would like to return. Thank you.
