Popped in for a takeaway whilst working in the area nice food and good value for money pleasant staff

Tengo un amigo que es un chef en un hotel en Park Lane, Londres, y cuando él y su esposa me visita le gusta ir al café en el verde como él dice que está limpio, la comida excelente y el personal es tan amable. Me decepcionó en personas que revista, así que nos fuimos hasta esta semana para verlo y me pregunto fue que en este Café porque no era como lo escribió. Así que mi consejo para él es continuar al Ritz.

Gran café local. El personal es siempre muy acogedor y muy atento. La comida es de alta calidad. Entretenimiento para ver pasar a la gente. Siempre una agradable sorpresa cuando el dueño se pone creativo con su chef, normalmente un especial al menos una vez a la semana. Bien merece una visita si pasas por Carstairs.

Parar en el pub en la calle que no hacen la comida o el desayuno. Ha estado en el café en el verde varias veces y la comida nos pareció buena calidad ordenados a un precio razonable. También muy limpio el personal amable y servicial. Lo recomiendo.

Lo pasamos genial con la familia aquí muy amable personal fabuloso valor comida buena. Un salto en el camino a casa desde nuestra semana sin duda volveremos pronto.

Lovely wee place great service and kids enjoyed their meals too which is unusual. Very friendly staff and I will be back the next time I'm passing.

Great home cooked food, very reasonably priced. The cafe has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and the staff go above and beyond to ensure u have everything you need. Will deffo be back! 10/10

Three of us popped in for a quick lunch but it took ages for our baked potatoes to come, the staff never asked if we wanted drinks with our lunch and we had to get our own cutlery, the staff had long hair and didn't have it tied back or have hair nets on, the toilets are a disgrace and I would recommend the environmental health officers pay a visit.

I normally pop in here on the way home from watching my son play football in Lanark. This is the first time I've added a review. The food is standard British cafe fare with cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, home baking etc.. food is very tasty and very reasonable. I look forward to popping in again the next time I am passing

A small and friendly cafe with a good range of decent home cooked food at a fair price. Regular specials and the pies are made on the premises. A nice alternative to the bland coffee shop chains

This is a nice wee cafe next door to the co-op in Carstairs. It offers a range of basic food which is reasonably priced and well presented. They are also happy to do special orders; they made me a delicious steak pie for boxing day. The pastry was excellent and I really enjoyed it.

Had the pleasure of eating in the cafe a few times now. It has a good selection of well prepared home cooked food. It is very friendly and has a good warm welcoming feeling about it . I am a very fussy eater and the nice staff always cater for my every needs. So in a whole i would recommend the cafe on the Green if your popping in for a coffee or a three course meal with the kids. Keep up the good work ....

Just had lunch in the Cafe on the Green , which has just reopened under new ownership.I found. Menu to cater for all tastes and included everything from a quick breakfast grab menu to all day breakfast sit in , sandwiches kids menu , high teas all the way through to main meals. The food was excellent with large portions and reasonable prices. Well worth considering if passing through , travelling to Carstairs train station or living nearby for a break from the kitchen
