On our way to Greggs but passed by here, cheaper sit in and great pleasant waitress service. All round a chance stop but well rewarded.

Found this little cafe & it reminded me of how cafés used to be before coffee shops & restaurants took over! The owner was lovely, friendly & very welcoming! The food was freshly cooked to order, which was most enjoyable, added bonus, bought a breakfast & received unlimited coffee 🍵 The owner had only opened a couple of weeks earlier, so some cosmetic work needs attending to but your their to eat not the decor 😊

We stayed here for one night and ate in the restaurant. The rooms at the Black horse are outstanding so much detail is given to each room on a race horse theme. We ate in the restaurant on the night ,the food was lovely as were the staff. We had a comfortable nights sleep as the bedding and mattress was top quality.I particularly liked the face there is a mirror with a plug nearby which is always something I look for .The next morning the breakfast was amazing with top quality produce ,again all the staff were attentive and nothing too much trouble. We will be returning very soon .

Visited for lunch with my husband today - first time! I had a lovely chicken / halloumi / sun-dried tomato salad and hubby had a very nice jacket with ham, cheese and onion, along with two splendid Americano coffees. Meal was just gorgeous and the service absolutely 👌. The lady who served us was so friendly with us and other customers too. Spotlessly clean. Teensy bit on the pricey range but I'm nit-picking. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

We called in at the end of a fab walk. The welcome was lovely and the decor was even nicer. Robyn clearly takes real pride. Unfortunately it was raining, so we found ourselves stranded and forced to stay for 4 very enjoyable pints. We're told that food will be available from the end of July. If you're passing then pop in and support this great pub.
