Cafe Nero in Thurrock

This ill-mannered waiter with glasses and darkish blonde hair, made a cappuccino instead of a mocha. He insisted that it’s a mocha, but how would he know unless he tasted it? He doesn’t know, only I would. He was rude, his tone was rude. Should know how to treat a customer and speak in a more respectful way. Put me off coming here! Is that how Caffè Nero treats its customers?? Customers are always right, get your staff trained on that please. Pinhead.

The cafe was busy but very clean and neat. Staff were friendly. Main disappointment some of the items wanted they did not have in stock imagine due to busy period in lead up to Christmas.

Been here on more than one occasion and the same server spoils it every time. I go after work and was there 20 minutes before closing. He huffs and puffs and he needs to tell his face he’s representing Cafe Nero. He Is not helpful explaining anything about seasonal drinks, moans at customers that he is not serving anyone else as closing soon, muttered under his breath at ones that came after me that he sent away. Makes the drink which I asked for extra hot and in fact was not even hot let alone extra hot… but I daren’t ask Mr Grumpy to change it! Plops the drinks on the counter like the customers are a real inconvenience. Cafe Nero really need to look who is representing them… it should not be this grumpy elf, especially this time of year!

I always enjoy my Nero’s coffees and never disappointed. Service always good. However I always find the mezzanine too hot and it does get busy.

Worth a visit if you are an O2 prioritise customer . . . you can sometimes get a free drink etc via the app. Good quality drinks and cake.

I don’t know if I visited on an off day, but the coffee was awfull and the muffin definetly wasn’t fresh, (Staff) If your wondering who wrote this it was the customer who left the full cup of coffee and the uneaten muffin on an outside table a few weeks back, thankfully I’ve voted with my feet.

As we're in lakeside decided to pop in for a hot drink, I had chocolate and my daughter had a coffee mine was a bit watery, and was quite pricey, and very slow service, won'-t be returning

on my way into work we always grab a Hot Chockie to go just to start the day off right. the ice drinks are lovley too always cheap and cheeful

I wouldn't recommend, and won't be returning. The drinks are very overpriced, given the quality. The staff were pleasant and friendly, but took around 20minutes to make three drinks without anyone being else being in the cafe.

I'm a regular customer of Cafe Nero and have never been disappointed, great, friendly staff, very clean store brilliant atmosphere

Nice coffee the location is not nice very dark not at all welcoming staff friendly enough thou just not my favourite Café Nero

Met here with friends. Never really too busy in the evening. Staff always good and quick to serve. They have a tiny seating area upstairs if you want a bit of privacy. There is also some seating outside. Good location.

I used to come to Café Nero on my breaks to Lakeside, but I've recently started swapping the coffee shop out for Starbucks upstairs due to the taste, however, Cafe Nero isn't bad and has a nice vibe to the shop.

Always have a coffee here. Its the best in Lakeside and the service is always very good. Also find its not as expensive as the other places in the centre. Its a small site so we tend not to sit in there as normally busy but happy to walk around with our coffee.

We went upstairs for a Coffe due to insufficient setting downstairs. Please find a different location for the dustpan, brush and cleaning trolley at the bottom of the staircase. Nice atmosphere and I recommend this places to all Lakeside shoppers.

I will go here after work. It's a quiet time and allows me to relax after a hectic day with good coffee or hot chocolate and quick and friendly service. The environment is calm and peaceful- relaxing .

Very nice coffee. Server seemed offended when I pointed out their dirty crockery and chipped saucers. Tired decor and ripped furniture. Still love the coffee.

My 9 year old daughter and I stopped for hot chocolate. Our drinks were extra yummy and were just a pleasure to look at.There was a customer who had obviously had some incontinence issues as there was a bad smell of urine...but when she left the girls working there discreetly took away the chair and just cleaned the area, ridding the cafe of the horrible smell. They did this happily and diplomatically. They were all friendly and will definitely visit again soon.

After visiting Lakeside we decided to have a coffee at Cafe Nero. Staff were friendly and served you with a smile. Decor was okay. Prices are much the same as everywhere else. My only criticism is why when you ask for an Americano coffee do you only get half a cup. (No milk so why don't they fill the cups up to the top, please)

We had just arrived at Lakeside and had parked near Debenhams and were looking for somewhere for coffee and remembered this place hidden under the escalators just outside Debenhams. We ordered coffee and a toasted panettone. I love the sweetness of this and when toasted it gets a lovely crust and is great for dunking.

I went in for a coffee and they lady that served me was so friendly, it was like she was my best friend and she is great with customers .And the coffee was very very nice too thank you to that lady

The bad service was the first thing to hit you when ordering. The staff appeared to be annoyed at having to serve anyone. Asking for a coffee without froth I was greeted with tut. It was explained to me it was a bother to make.I don't take sugar so I get the full coffee taste and it was by far the most bitter coffee I have ever tasted. I threw half of the coffee in the bin and was left with an unpleasant after taste. I will not be visiting a Café Nero again.

Went into this Cafe for Lunch. Panini and vey nice coffee at sensible price. Clean and pleasant stop off for lunch.
