Excellent friendly and unobtrisive service. Delicious and copious food. I had the lamb kebab wrap with a little dip of obviously home made harissa, chips and salad. My daughter had moussaka. We were warned that there was a 15 minutes wait and asked if it was ok. and no more than 15 minutes we were served.

At the junction of Robertson Road, Stapleton Road and Fishponds Road. I think it's Greek originally, but nothing obviously Greek about it apart from the sign outside (no, I know Monte Carlo isn't in Greece, underneath that) One of the first places to open after lockdown - takeaway only, of course. The tables have been moved to form a barrier down the middle and the chairs stacked up against a wall Friendly smile from the lady serving - baking bread as I went in Bacon buttie. Boring white sliced, not the freshly baked stuff, with butter and plenty of bacon. Delicious Machine espresso served in a large polystyrene cup - really not very nice - what a pity

Been for breakfast a few times now with friends and always had a good feed for a good price. Great veggie breakfast too!

Quality, quantity and price. I highly recommend if you want a propet breakfast, ask for a black stone with orange juice. Excellent <3

Pros: nice food, good vibes, friendly staff, quick service. Cons: portions sizes (For the average person the portion sizes would be fine but I'm a big eater).

The absolute best hangover cure in Bristol! Whoever decided to put cheese sauce on the veggie breakfast is a genius, and I can't think of anywhere else that lets you bring your own booze at 8am... nothing makes you feel better the day after a heavy night than a fat fry up and a can of Thatchers!

This place is a little gem, I was so totally surprised with the quality of food and presentation as well as the extremely reasonably priced menu. It’s a clean, cosy and homely and the staff lovely and friendly, Me and my daughter had the large breakfast, and it was well cooked and delicious. I will definitely recommend this restaurant, and will be a regular.

This is an excellent place to swing by for breakfast! The portions are excellent and presentation surpasses expectation at the price bracket! Although there were slight hitches along the way; the guys handled the snags really well and kept us informed. I really recommend it!

With a deep heart I am about to write this review! I was recommended this cafe by one of my very good friend . And also this is one of very very few cafe is bristol who also got Halal option available. So i decided to Visit the cafe with my family. We ordered breakfast and tea! After 10 minutes food is no where near !I was really confused why it is taking so long for the breakfast to come down Because there were only one lady customer and two male customers there already having their food so i couldn’t see physically anyone they are preparing the food in kitchen or any explanation why it is taking long. In the mean time more customer started walking in and i could see they are busy taking orders for them but no one is getting served! Any how after at least 15-20 mins of wait, FOOd arrived! But Wait where are the Toast?? Waited few mins as the might be coming but i could see the lady working there is busy serving others food as well! Anyways no toast coming today so i had to get up myself and ask if i have read the menu wrong or do i need to order them separately! Girl behind the counter said they are coming.... No apology or any explanation why they didn’t get served with breakfast and why i had to wait and get up and ask them on the counter. Anyways never mind. Took a bite or two and there was strong smell of vinegar/brine coming from button mushroom served. I can clearly tell the were not fresh but from the Tin. All of previous waiting and food not served properly put me off straight away and i asked the lady i don’t want the food and take it back. ( mind i only had 1-2 mushroom and bite of sausage). Gave the breakfast back! Few mins later lady from kitchen came to me and said is there anything wrong with food? I asked her why it took 15-20 mins for a breakfast to come down and why the breads were not served with the breakfast? Instead she said the breakfast my mrs order had to go in oven twice! I asked how i am supposed to be knowing this ? And what was wrong with other two breakfast , why they didnt get served with bread. No answer but she said shall I pack it for you. I replied no please i have lost my appetite because of all what happened! The lady who seems to be the owner/manager clearly did not care at all. She did not apologised or even tried a little to explain or make an effort to make things better. She just walked off. Anyways I did not have food there . My son did not enjoy his food either! Button mushroom were disgusting and smelly. Anyways went to pay in the end and they gladly charged me for three breakfast and tea despite what experience we went through! I do not expect any apology or any thing back from them BUT i am honestly very very much disappointed with the highest level of ignorance and non professionalism.

I asked the staff there how long it'll gonna take for the chicked skewers to be done. They said 15 min. I mentioned that I only have 30 min lunch break and I need to pick the right food to get something to eat. I also mentioned about last time when again the waiting time wasn't the one communicated in the first place. After 28-30 minutes, I went to get my money back, and the girl there said "your is almost ready". Horrible! Never gonna do the same mistake again! I end up having a full day of work without eating anything.

Not very good. I only wanted a bacon sandwich and coffee but they got my order wrong and after a good 15 minutes of waiting patiently they brought me out a full breakfast. I told them that I had just wanted a sarnie. I then waited for a good 20 minutes before I finally got my sarnie but with absolutely no apology or explanation for the unnecessary long wait. I used to be a chef and if I got someone's order wrong I would go all out to make amends as quickly as possible but they just carried on serving other people who came in way after me, people who hilariously were having full breakfast's but no one had the common sense to put the bacon they were cooking for them into my long delayed sarnie. As stated before with no apology I would definitely never go back there again.

He estado en este café bastante debido a que el trabajo está bastante cerca. La comida y el servicio es fantástico. Realmente increíble chef y la presentación de platos es absolutamente fantástico. Durante la hora del almuerzo, se llena debido a tomar pedidos por teléfono también. A pesar de eso, no tengo nada negativo que decir. Recomiendo el plato de desayuno de salmón / huevo, el atún panini con ensalada o platos mixtos a la parrilla. Asombroso.

Top quality clean food .. the perfect breakfast . If your looking for a tiny bite or a big bulk ... the blackstone is Gordon Ramsey esk .. the big jack is a filler and deffo the best breakfast in Bristol .. for muslims they don't half no how to cook pork 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Me and my partner have been a few times now ( to try and eat off our hangovers) and each time has been fantastic. We both had the veggie breakfast today and for £4 something it is incredible value. I've been to quite a few 'hipster' cafe's in Bristol and I have paid literally twice the amount for half the quality. Price 10/10 Quality 10/10 Service 10/10 Hangover 6/10

Pause... tell ya kids, tell ya wife! This place is delisshus! Very nice food and doesn't break the bank! A breakfast like no else in Bristol ! Super duper!

Me encanta el personal aquí! Y la comida es siempre buena, y confiablemente con gran sabroso raciones generosas. Hay un gran desayuno vegetariano o la opción con carne sabrosa, hamburguesas con patatas fritas o en pitta también pollo tagines. Es tan bueno para ver una multitud de nacionalidades en el café, todos bienvenidos. Sin duda lo recomiendo, especialmente como una parada el domingo por la tarde.

He tenido más cosas en el menú en uno u otro momento y nada ha decepcionado. El Mezze siempre es un lujo. Pero el a mi mente el plato principal es el desayuno vegetariano. Esto no es lo que pueden esperar cuando pides, es una interpretación verdaderamente inspirado que usted debe probar. Es un desayuno que mando un precio premium en una plena conjunta o un hotel de lujo y 5 veces mejor para ser servido en los alrededores del Monte Carlo.

Este lugar estaba lleno cuando fui. Menú azar que van desde Inglés a mezze - gran variedad de elección. El tamaño de las porciones eran grandes, el servicio era un poco hortera, pero no me puedo quejar de la comida para el precio.

With this being a nondescript greasy spoon we went in not with very high hopes and left with exceedingly high disappointment and a very dodgy stomach... even told the next customer coming in not to bother.Food was of a really poor quality and not well cooked, the staff were unhelpful, unfriendly, rude and didn't know what they had available or not. Drinks took an age to arrive and there was no additional attentiveness from the waitress. We were told they were rushed off their feet and the kitchen couldn't make any changes but then told we couldn't have what we asked for because they had run out. When I asked again, they suddenly had whatever in stock but cited they were too busy to accommodate. They only had 3 tables out of 10 with people on them, hardly busy.This is one of the worst places I have eaten in for both food and service.

Good, tasty food at reasonable prices. Family run cafe and all the staff are lovely. Great for hangover fry ups, and if you're nice they let you take in your own alcohol!

Always seen this cafe busy when passing by so thought we would pop in for lunch. I had a full English breakfast and my wife had home made salmon and dill cakes. Both were very good meals. Wish I had ordered what others were having though. The meat skewers looked amazing. Next time we will try them.

The Monte Carlo Cafe BristolOften neglected little place just off the M32. It used to be a great 'egg and chips' place for years but is now under new ownership. In the less salubrious part of Bristol, admittedly which may have kept it under the radar, this is a shame. Run by a friendly family that really make an effort.True many of the clients are 'alternative' Bristol, but this, for me adds to the atmosphere and character and makes a welcome change from Yummy Mummys and Hipsters you find in similar places up town; and the prices they attract! Due to the multi ethnic nature of the area the menu reflects this and offers an interesting range of dishes which can be tailored to some extent to suit individual taste. If it's just a breakfast you want then they'll take care of you from 'belly busters' to veggie specials and again you can swap items. Their coffee is both generous and top quality and cheap.Speaking of cheap my personal choice of scrambled eggs, a generous portion of smoked salmon, three toast and two coffees comes in at a very reasonable £6.50!I'm there often and suggest you give it a try. You won't be sorry.

A great place for a relaxed hangover cure breakfast! The staff are really friendly and it has a nice family feel to it. The menu is quite varied with plenty of vegetarian options and everything is tasty and good value.

Having planned a shopping day in Bristol starting at IKEA we thought about finding somewhere different for breakfast as IKEA breakfast is awful we came across this hidden gem , no hidden diamond just 2 min walk outside the car park at Eastgate shopping complex . Greeted with a welcome second to none and personally given a menu and a very nice good morning guys . Such a lovely choice of breakfast items , veggie sausages out of this world , full breakfast with toast on the side great , I hate having to pay extra for a simple bit of toast , not at this place comes as standard good on you guys simple things make people want to come back , we did in fact come back for lunch the same day don't get me started on the panini simply out of the world

Keep coming back. The hot chocolate really is hot chocolate. The food is delicious, well priced, friendly and homely Afghan run cafe. They make their own carrot cake, chocolate cake and cheesecake. The breakfast and lunch dishes are all tasty.

I'm a stranger in Bristol. I know nothing about it.I was brought here for breakfast by friends who live in Easton.I was slightly dubious on approaching the cafe as the area looked a bit neglected i.e. broken glass, drug paraphernalia and super strength lager cans on the pavement.Our order was taken quickly upon sitting down but they got the drinks slightly wrong( coke instead of diet coke, easily rectified, waste of a drink though )Frustratingly, when the breakfasts arrived they had got that wrong as well. The had brought a full English and a kids full English, we had asked for Veggie breakfast and kids Veggie breakfast and also forgotten one the kids meals completely.There is clearly some communication breakdown somewhere.The chef certainly knows what he is doing though. The food was excellent.Hot, tasty, generous and well presented. We were all well pleased.The Veggie breakfast is delicious and unique.It consists of a toasted bread muffin spread with spicy spinach topped with 2 veg sausages, 2 poached eggs, bechamel sauce and grated cheese plus 2 hash browns.A proper start to the day!Constructive criticisms...Get the orders right first timeTry using Quorn or Linda McCartney veggie sausages? They're much nicer than the ones with carrots and peas in them. Almost all cafes and chippies use the carroty pea ones but most veggies would never buy these if given a choice.Overall,Great place. More people should know about this place. Child friendly.Cheap.Feel good food.

Have eaten here several times. The breakfasts are really good and the kebab and mezze for lunch is delicious. Would particularly recommend the 'Black Stone' for breakfast! Good coffee and lovely service.

Hi we visited here on a recommendation from Time out magazine, and enjoyed a fresh, very hot and tasty Full English for less than £5, think it would be hard to beat, will be going back soon.

This place is a true gem. Went there last Saturday morning with a group of people. They sorted us out with a table in no time and the service was prompt, friendly and efficient. We had several large breakfasts and a few veggie breakfasts with a few changes in terms of ingredients on plate. Food was well cooked, very plentiful and the veggie breakfast looked amazing. Definite food envy but meat eaters breakfast still top notch. Good filter coffee as well. Hard to fault anything here but would prob avoid fried bread in future. There is a lovely atmosphere and some great banter from staff in this little neighbourhood cafe. Will be back for sure to try that sumptuous looking veggie breakfast.

I love breakfast time at monte carlo , so friendly and funny and the muffins yum yum yum , go here may not be situated in a pretty place but the food is a must taste !!

I visited this cafe in a group of 8 for breakfast, most of us had different adaptions to our breakfasts and most of these were honoured when we received our orders. There was one tap water missing and somebody was missing their extra hash browns however this was quickly forgotten about when we tasted the breakfasts. On paper the veggie breakfast sounds a bit strange with 'cheese sauce' on it however it was a deliciously fattening filling breakfast which was always presented surprisingly well comsidering this just looks like your average greasy spoon cafe. For £4.95 this breakfast is soooo worth it! So yummy :)

ace breakfast, hot plates, lovely lady behind counter.. support this its proper nosh done good without the pretentious fluff.. i will go back again and again, but not every week as the large breakfast is mammoth and i'll be the size of a house within a month

The veggie breakfast here is amazing! Not the usual fare, and good value as well! Staff are friendly and welcoming. Have only tried the veggie breakfast but the other dishes sound good as well.
