The best small plates offering in Bristol. Every dish we ordered was so tasty, even for those that weren't keen on the primary ingredient. (I hate aubergine, I loved the ones here). You will not be disappointed if you visit. Better than Bravas .

Nice decor with real plants. I had a mango, apple & basil smoothie which cost £4.80. Tasted like the juice from Aldi, NO basil. Can't use cash here, too gentrified for the area.

Relaxed restaurant with superb food that are creative. It's tapas so it is encouraged to buy multiple dishes. They come different times so cant take a picture of all of it together. It is a bit annoying as there were some vegetable dishes I wanted to pair with a meat dish but everything came and the vegetable dish was last. It was still nice but think it wouldve been great with the meat. Area isnt the greatest or safest in Bristol but we had no problems.

One of those places you just wished you lived closer to! Small plates and on looking at the price you might think way too expensive for small plates, average £9/10, but the taste makes up for the price! They advise 2 or three each which would work out pretty expensive for three of the most costly ones. I'm veggie so not too bad. Obviously vegan friendly and good for vegetarians too, which makes a change as it's hard to find vegetarian food now vegan has taken over. The restaurant is so green, so many plants, window boxes, hanging from the rafters, it was amazing. We ate on a really hot day and it made us feel like we were somewhere in Europe. Staff could not have been nicer or more friendly. Lovely bottle of wine, £21, to compliment everything. I'm sad I'm not local but my bank is pleased!

Been a few times now. There is nothing to fault about this place or the staff. Being surrounded by well looked after plants, murals and hangings while you eat creates a really immersive atmosphere. The food plates are fast to arrive, varied and amazing. The puddings are also amazing. There is a great selection of alcoholic and soft drinks. The staff are super friendly and attentive. There is a big range of table sizes so it's perfect for both groups and couples. The prices are fair enough for how great the overall experience is and the effort the staff clearly put in. The food was delicious, however the service was poor. We had to ask 3 times for a glass. Twice, the waitress removed plates we were still eating from (right in front of me) so I had to asked she put them back down. Coffee was served without a saucer and spoon. My friend despaired and stood up to get find a spoon to mix the frothy milk and chocolate powder as we couldn’t attract her attention, and found a straw. It was not even busy at this point. The waitress came back a few minutes later and removed the plate again without asking us, promptly the removing of the straw. It became laughable at this stage. The cherry on the top when we split the bill and asked to pay a round amount (lower than the automatically added 12.5% for service, but we still paid a few £ each for it) and she ignored it and re-added the full service amount! Otherwise we loved the atmosphere!

I have been twice now to the Garden of Easton for dinner, and a few times for coffee/brunch. On all occasions I had a truly wonderful time. The restaurant food is impeccable, very well priced and (for tapas) very well portioned. I must say, although I am a meat eater, the vegetarian options really blew me away in terms of flavour and presentation. Its obvious the chef is passionate about food, and moreover is very consistent as well. Beyond the food, the staff have always been immensely friendly and welcoming, and always cheery, making the whole experience all the more memorable and pleasant. Finally, Garden of Easton is well known for its natural décor and plant-filled ceilings, adding a fresh and romantic atmosphere to every evening. Garden of Easton does not disappoint, and I heartily recommend them to anyone. They also have a fantastic café during the day, with numerous sweet treats and brunch options, also as lovingly presented and care-filled as their dinning experience. 5 stars all around!

Aesthetic of the cafe is nice, with the green, hanging, leafy plants and fairy lights. Situated close to Stapleton station- easy to get to via public transport. This was an absolutely awful restaurant - we had to queue to get in and were not told that the food would take 45 minutes to come out before being seated. We ended up waiting 1 hour for our food to come, for the wrong dish to be served - a non-veg breakfast to a vegetarian person! The service was not good either, with our table being tucked away in the corner and staff nowhere to be seen. They asked us to pay before even getting the food and had the audacity to ask us to pay service charge as soon as we had sat down even when they knew the food would take over hour to come out. We had a fantastic experience in Garden of Eden. As soon as we came in, we were met with smiles and a great atmosphere. A lot of people rate the decor highly, and I couldn't agree more. Plants and greenery as far as the eye can see. The restaurant both upstairs and downstairs is very cosy and the person serving our table had a very relaxed demeanour which was comforting. We ordered an array of nibbles and small plates as they all looked so good, and not a single dish that came out of the kitchen missed the spot. Our personal favourites were the aubergine, patatas bravas and the dips with bread (but you can't go wrong with whatever you order, get as much as you can stomach). We will most definitely be back and thank you for the experience GoE team!

First visit since the demise of the much-missed Café Maitreya. Hopes were high, but left feeling disappointed. The setting is fabulous and an absolute joy to behold - a wonderful space overflowing with plants. The food was excellent, but the eggs served with my breakfast were initially undercooked. I've spoken to many people over the years, and not one person has ever expressed a liking for large quantities of runny albumen. Many bad experiences of eggs at cafés have led to me always asking for my eggs to be well cooked. Despite this, the eggs arrived with enough runny albumen that you could scoop it off with a teaspoon. I sat there twiddling my thumbs while my partner ate her breakfast and mine was taken away and sorted out. Such a shame, as the rest of it was fabulous (despite being luke warm from presumably sitting on the side while they finished off the eggs). And maybe it was my imagination, but the waitress didn't seem too happy about the request to sort the eggs out. I gave her a smile and said goodbye when leaving as I never like to be rude to service staff. Maybe she didn't see me or maybe she just ignored me. Can't say I feel like visiting again though.

This is an odd practice as waiting 20 mins for a can that could be given straight away is not a great service practice. Last few times I've been garden of Easton or Bristolian I've found the staff clicky and aloof.
