We went as a group of 20+ as part of a local car group. An area was set aside for our group, and the service was very good with the team members taking our orders while we were seated and checking regularly that we had everything we needed. Would certainly return - the bacon and sausage barm cakes were delicious!

My sister took myself and my niece for afternoon tea as a birthday treat. We were bitterly disappointed, not only was the table dirty from pervious customer, when we were served the cake stands were very rickety, the food in itself was of very poor quality, sandwiches barely any filling with hardly any butter, crusts on bread was very hard, salad had been out in the open for far to long and had turned brown, only one drink each, any other drinks were charged extra, when asked by a member of staff if everything was ok.we had to say no.the manager was called and his only response was to tell us more than once that he had never had any complaints before.all this for a total of £60.the manager reduced the bill by £10, which i found an insult. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will definately not be returning. Ann Bourne 7th July 2023....

The cafe is upstairs at Huntleys location Walley Road near Preston. We needed a lift for one of our party and that was available direct from the ground floor. Ordered coffee and cakes plus toasted tea-cake and all was excellent. This is a convenient stopping point off the A 59 down to Chester,Liverpool and N Wales. Served very quickly and all was fine, this is a very convenient location if you are using the A 59. Definitely will call in again when on the way down to Llandudno or Chester

Redeemed gift vouchers for afternoon tea. Was a very pleasant experience the staff were very welcoming. The food was good, more than we could eat. The staff kindly gave us a box to bring home the scones cream and jam we couldn't manage to eat. Would visit again. Not cheap, but it was overall very good. Would certainly visit again.

We visited today after a morning at the local Mrs Dowsons Farm. Quite a simple order of 2 Diet Cokes, jacket potato, toasted tea cake and 2 slices of cake. There seemed to be zero organisation though, the jacket potato came in minutes, a few more minutes went by then the Cokes came, shortly followed by the cakes but about 10 minutes later the toasted tea came. In this time the table next to us had ordered 2 toasted tea cakes and theirs came first, the fact they sent them back as they were burnt is another talking point! Overall the food was ok but not a place we will be rushing back to based on the service alone. Lots of staff stood around not really doing much.

Terrible.... Visited for a light bite today. Ordered toasted crumpets and toasted fruit t cakes with cappuccinos. Crumpets and toasted t cakes arrived but no drinks. We had to go to find out what the delay was. The crumpets hadnt even been near a grill and were cold while the fruit t cakes were burnt to a crisp, black and inedible. When the cappuccinos arrived, instead of a sprinkle of chocolate on top, there was a 'dollop' of bitter coco powder an inch thick ! It was revolting. The whole order was a joke. When I told the waitress about the food, she just took the plate away without comment. Just as we were leaving she came back with 2 crumpets apologising. I told her I didnt want them and se looked shocked by my answer, but I hadn't asked for them. This is not the first time we have been disappointed eating here, but this time it was really bad. I only gave it one point as I couldn't give it zero ... or I would ! This has totally put me off going again. The place is staffed with imature teenagers and I didnt see anyone taking the lead.

We visited here for the first time today and had the afternoon tea which was amazing!! The staff were lovely and really accommodating. The added extra bonus for us was the children’s toy area, we enjoyed our food on the sofas next to the toy area and the children had a great time playing with the toys. We will definitely be back regularly!! 😃

Attended this afternoon after pre booking an executive afternoon tea. At £20 per person we expected something quite special. When we arrived no table had been prepared and we were told we could pull some tables together. The afternoon tea was really basic - no explanation on what we had been given. The butter on the bread was thicker than the ham. No idea what flavour quiche it was. The teacups were filthy and we had to clean all four of them. The scones were raw in the middle so we asked for a replacement which was also raw. It felt really basic, certainly not worth £20. Afternoon tea is a treat and now more than ever people want value for money. We certainly didn’t find that at Cafe Lazio and wouldn’t go back.

Wouldn’t waste your time all you need to do is go look at the kitchen absolutely disgusting , got food posing , was I’ll as hell , hunters chicken was still pink in the middle and the peas was still frozen , staff are rude and disrespectful absolutely horrendous I’ve spoke to many people who have said they had similar experiences all you need to do is ask people in Leyland what they think of the food
