Absolutely filthy walks, floors & tables. Food was ok, but put off by the state of the place, couldn’t see kitchen. 2 blokes in their phones behind counter. Shame

This place has no right to call itself a cafe! Visited July 26 at 13:10 it was about half-full of people mostly chatting not eating, Ordered cheeseburger and chips with a Coke. 13:25 teenage waitress wordlessly put a can of Coke -no glass - on my table. 13:35 I went to the till and asked for a refund - which was given - no apology. During my wait several customers ordered food and ate it. One even walked in off the street ordered a takeaway burger, took it and left! Several male members of staff/owners? standing around doing nothing in particular. One young girl seemed to be the only worker actually working. In a normal world I can't see this place surviving but here it is still bumbling along. Hopeless but still enduring!

I am shocked to my very core at just how bad this place is. Firstly loads of staff all standing doing nothing. Then clumps of dirt and pocket scum all over the cutlery in from of the till. Then there was the wait time for the food, almost an hour for 7 breakfasts, all coming out spaced apart. We were one of three tables in. The other two tables being tables of two and one of the tables already had their food… Then the food itself was abysmal. Cold beans, cold black pudding that was cut so thick and deep fried for not long enough so once again was cold inside, hash browns that were cold inside, mushrooms that were deep fat fried, bacon that was thick with lard, the lowest quality sausage you can possibly find which was again deep fat fried. Then the people working there were just constantly texting, so much so when the food was ready to bring out they finished up the text they were sending before bringing out the food. Some times actually stopping again on route to picking up the food to then text again! One ever turned back and hid to continue texting!!! Then the coffee, they use pods. Then after all of this, I got a refund… they short changed me. I don’t know in which other way I can state just how awful this place is and how you would be better off with any other place. How on earth this place survives. Every single person that tries this food must instantly see how god awful it is. This place is a shambles. The single worst breakfast I have ever had. A complete waste of time, money and effort. I feel like I should be paid compensation. That’s how bad it was.

Popped in for coffee and cake. No cake available so opted for pancakes with cherries and cream. I think advertising standards would have something to say because the dish was certainly devoid of any cherries. The pancakes were OK, the "cherries" were just cherry flavour gloop and the cream was of the squirty variety out of an aerosol can that just melted away when it came into contact with the hot gloop and pancakes. I am pleased to say that the coffee was fine but then it has hard to go wrong with Lavazza. I was very unimpressed at the prices to be paid for such an unappetising and uninspiring dish and will not be returning. As a local I would recommend the Macintyre cafe a few doors down.

We visited this cafe on 1st January during the Stony Classic Car festival but unfortunately we had a terrible experience as did all the other patrons that morning. Granted it is busier than usual on that day but it’s not as though it doesn’t happen every year, so you’d expect there to be enough staff to cook and serve. Although we got into the cafe around 9.15ish I didn’t expect to have to wait over 30 minutes for a cup of tea….which I gave up waiting for and asked for a refund!! There was one very stressed and harassed young lad on the till taking orders, at first I was told they weren’t taking food orders but then I was told they were, so I ordered. There was already many disgruntled customers who had already been waiting over 40 minutes for their orders, which when it eventually came out it was either cold, items missing of the plates or in the wrong order of purchase. Needless to say we left after my refund was given.

It is obvious before entering this establishment that it is at best a 'greasy spoon' so my expectations weren't high. However, I ordered a cheese salad sandwich and was served something which at a point in history would have been a breach of the Trade Descriptions Act. The cheese turned out to be a slice of processed cheese, the salad turned out to be a clump of lettuce - no tomato, no cucumber, no dressing. And the price for this culinary masterpiece is almost £3. I ate half and left and certainly won't be returning.

So disappointed. We visited 2pm Sun 13 Nov for lunch. I ordered a black coffee with hot milk on the side, tea with milk, 1 bacon sandwich, and poached eggs on wholemeal toast. £12.40. Had to send coffee back twice as both had milk already in! Hubby asked for bit more milk as his tea was very strong, the lad picked up the mug by the rim with bare fingers, not the handle. After 25mins, still no sign of lunch! Asked if it would be much longer, he had not passed the order through! Bacon sandwich arrived dripping in what looked like egg! No, it was butter, loads of it. My poached ages arrived, took a bite, tasted of vinegar! I couldn't eat it. Hubby noticed something at the bottom of his tea, looked like tissue? Turned out to be the teabag! No string. We called over the lad, no manners, stood with his hands in his pockets, and actually said I DON'T CARE, when my husband asked him why the bag was left in and lifting up mugs etc with bare fingers. Has he been trained in Hygiene? Manners? Customer Services? He said he'd been there 4 years. I doubt that. It would have been closed for 2 of them. Manager - have a word with your crew, teach them hygiene and how actions have consequences.

Great Little cafe. Visited this place mid afternoon so it was very quiet. The lady who served us was lovely as was my tuna melt panini and salad. The freshest salad I’ve had out in forever. I loved that there was a choice of oat or soya in addition to the usual milk and the young chap who took over after his lunch was friendly and efficient. Clean, simple, delicious .

A lot of elderly customers have seen in this cafe and the way the service and food is presented is so homely and respectfully. Amazing people and really good food.

Used go here quite a bit, but for the wrong reasons! Myself and a group of friends would go just because it was soooooo bad. We never, once, had a perfect service. Every time, at least one of the following would happen:- 1) One or more of our orders was forgotten 2) One or more of our orders was wrong 3) One or more of our meals was of appalling quality EVERY time!! If I had a pound for every time the server said 'sorry', I'd be loaded. In the end, the novelty wore off and we now go to a cafe that has consistently good food, timely service and value for money.

Really surprised at the poor quality and prices, in an affluent town like stoney Stratford. Sandwich of ham and cheese, single thin slice ham and a Kraft cheese slice £4.20. Latte, was dishwasher water. 2 young 12 year olds serving. Did not use the coffee machine. Some made up fluid in a jug. £2.95 for the privilege. Price charged was not 7.15 as you would expect, but 7.90. Be mindful to ask for a receipt, check what you are charged for.

My adult son and I visited this cafe this morning, it was about 9am, very quiet, just one couple seated and one other an at the counter. When our turn we ordered 2 coffees and one sausage sandwich and one sausage roll. We got our drinks after 20 minutes but waited an hour for the food. The couple left and on there way out they advised us to check our food as part of there breakfast was frozen inside. People who came in after us had claimed a refund and left. The lady serving was lovely and apologetic but the experience was the worst. I've given one star as it was a nice coffee, even though it was gone long before breakfast

Stopped here en route to Olney because we needed a comfort stop. Looked around the good selection of well cared for plants in the nursery and liked what we saw. Decided to have lunch here and enjoyed a ploughmans and a panini with cups of tea. Everything was excellent! 5 star hygiene rating. Good service. Cleanliness of the crockery, cutlery, teapot etc was perfect. Glad we stopped here and will visit again if in the area.

This place is a warm and welcoming environment with fantastic staff especially Ariani who was outstanding in her job and very knowledgeable and pleasant, lager wise I would say it is one of the cheapest pubs in the area and the lager is nice

We waited 30 minutes for grandpa to come out of the toilet. It was delicious.
