Cafe Giardino in Bromley

The gentleman serving us at the counter was SO lovely, smiley and chatty. It made me and my mum both immediately say “we have to back here more often”. Lovely food and a great place to stop for lunch or a coffee. Staff were only too happy to help. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Shockingly over priced and bland. Not how I remember it. £10.95 for a full English - 1 slice of bacon and 1 sausage. Absolute rip off and really bland. Service was good and friendly staff.

Disgusting service. Walked out because the man behind the counter was so rude and protronising. Needs to learn some manners and learn to be kind.

I had lunch with my friend here on Friday, the 5th of April at around 11 am. A lady with short blonde hair served me, she asked me what type of coffee I wanted I said I don’t really know about coffee because I don’t drink it, just an ordinary white one please she gave me the filthiest of looks and slammed the milk jug down onto the tray which caused it to spill. Whilst waiting for my food she spoke to her colleague (a young man with curly hair) with such rudeness and anger. I felt so sorry for the young man, if it was me I would’ve walked straight out to the job centre. She was obviously angry about something but she should not have spoken to a colleague in front of customers in that way (or indeed in private) I will not be returning to this café unless she is not there.

Disgusting. The place was filthy - tables not cleared. Very little available cutlery and what was there was dirty. Dirty glass for my drink. We ordered poached eggs on toast, the eggs were over cooked and solid. We asked for properly cooked ones and they came out undercooked. Burnt toast, not buttered. The chef came out of the kitchen - filthy whites.

Located within the Glades shopping centre, so nicely placed if you are shopping. Clean and reasonably decorated, nothing special. The staff were friendly enough, and reasonably well turned out. The sandwiches were good but lacked any presentation, no garnish, no frills, just a sandwich. There is where the positives end........ I am not sure who taught the chap on the counter to butter bread, there was not enough to cover a small water biscuit, never mind two slices of bread!! It would be great if they filled the coffee cup with actual hot coffee and not half fill it with warm froth!! Lets be honest here. £23:00 for two sandwiches and two small Latte's is not on!! They are having a chuckle at our expense. There is NO way that what we were served was worth what we paid. While it all looks good, be prepared to pay through the nose for it, its a cafe in a shopping arcade, not the Savoy Grill. You can get equal or better for less if you look around. Average rating based on location and sandwiches, awful value for money.

Best place to have a lovely meal and rest, after shopping with the misses, lovely friendly staff with a smile on their faces, a bit busy but I felt really welcome.

Previously would get salad with the jacket potato but had to pay £3.95 extra. When I broached the staff about this they say they have never done that so basically called me a liar, also jacket potato was hard

Absolutely shocking service, disgusting panini, so much so i left most of it. It was an insult that i had to wait 30 mins for it frankly. Will never visit again.

Oh my God, the food is delicious every time. Panini and vegetarian lasagna are great!!!! Freshly squeezed orange juice is very refreshing. It is hard to find healthy food of such good quality and affordable price in bromley shoping center, but I highly recommend this place. thanks chef! ❤️

I have had brunch here a couple of times now - so not just a one off review. First occasion a coffee and bacon sandwich - second the full English breakfast. The coffee is good - the food just so so. Bacon sarnie served on sliced white bread and a couple of greasy slices. Full English - one indifferent sausage, one greasy slice of bacon, an egg, half a tomato, hash brown, mushrooms and half the plate swimming in baked beans. Toast arrived but without spread. Nothing special to shout about. It is italian, staffed by mostly Italians and a lot of Italians appear to eat here. I have had some crackingly good full English breakfast in Italian cafes before - this just was not it.

Ordered sausage, chips and beans which came in record time which surprised me until I discovered that everything was luke warm and just slopped on a plate. Sausage was inedible. Gentleman serving was extremely unfriendly. Not a pleasant experience at all especially as this was the bank holiday Sunday and the place was mostly empty.

Microwaved lasagna burnt my throat. Still can’t swallow. Pleased be very careful. Service was good though.

I went in for lunch today and ordered eggs Benedict - it was the worst eggs Benedict I have ever had. The whole dish had been cooked so quickly - the muffin had just been charred on top, but otherwise uncooked, the bacon was very fatty with a greasy soft rind and the eggs far too runny. I won’t be rushing back.

Called in for brunch. Nice that food is fresh cooked. However served dirty cup, and second one only a bit better; also cutlery still had previous food residue and when meal arrived, plate was quite greasy. A shame that food spoilt by shoddy wash-up.

I’ve been to Cafe G’s lots of times before this visit- it’s nice and big with lots of room for buggies and ample high chair space. Food is ok and coffee pretty good. I always go back because some of the staff there are lovely and super helpful, particularly when struggling with two small children. Prior to this trip, it’s always been pretty pleasurable but today was really disappointing. I went to the till and ordered two iced coffees. Halfway through speaking I was abruptly cut off and told ‘we don’t do iced coffees, only Frappes’. I explained that I was surprised as I’d had iced coffees there before to which the young girl on the till smirked(very rude) and older grey haired lady (even ruder) cut me off again to say ‘no you haven’t, we don’t do them.’ I pointed to the table behind me and said “I’ve sat there and had an iced coffee, not a Frappe but if it’s an issue, we’re happy to choose something else”. The older lady turned to the gentleman making the drinks and loudly said “see- this is what happens when some people make them and some people don’t.” Again, I said I’d choose something else to which the woman a third time cut me off and said “Don’t bother. He’ll do it for you. Next!” She literally turned her back on me and rolled her eyes, in front of a queue of people! I then asked for a lemon muffin and the girl said: “They’re lemon, not vanilla.” I agreed and said that’s what I asked for and she jumped in with “no- you asked for a vanilla one.” The gentleman behind the counter then clarified that it was a iced vanilla latte and I had indeed asked for a lemon muffin. At this point, it seemed that she just wanted to prove me wrong on something! The young girl then proceeded to say my card had been declined when my receipt was on the tray with the payment having gone through! There wasn’t a ‘please’ or ‘thank you’ throughout the whole conversation. Appreciate everyone has down days but I’m baffled that not one but two members of staff deem it acceptable to have that approach to customer service. Will not be returning. Black Cab Coffee is equally as spacious and much more accommodating.

We were visiting again after a long break. Giardino’s was always one of our favourites. On a positive note the staff were as friendly and pleasant as always and the service was quick. But prices have risen dramatically. A Chicken Milanese Panini is now £8.25 but the chicken with crumb coating was beige/grey and there was the thinnest and sparsest covering of bacon bits and cheese. And no salad or dressing.. it used to be so good and well presented but based on today a dishcloth would have been more appetising. Giardino’s , we know you can do better so please sort it if we are going to return.

Called in for a quick coffee whilst my partner had a interview so little I can add as really just killing time

Haven't been here for 11 months due to Covid precautions. Had a breakfast whilst my wife was still clothes shopping. 1x Large Cappuccinos together with 1x Bacon Sandwich with an Egg as well. It smelt delicious from 3 feet away! Nice bread, nice bacon, nice egg. Finished it just in time when my wife appeared. We then had 2x Regular Cappuccinos. Both bills combined came to £15.60 I noted that as the new members of staff came on shift at 10:50, they took both their temperatures and wrote them down on the timesheet before they took their coats off - so still exercising caution (11th Aug). I'll be back before Christmas!

If you like your toast extremely well done this is the place for you ! Besides that breakfast passable but nothing special

Arrived here expecting a good service due to its location and other reviews our order had to be taken 4 times was a simple order of two chicken wraps! We got to the till to be asked again what we ordered for the cashier to go over to the person and ask him what we ordered. We did order a frap coffee which was given to us and had no coffee in it

I’m not one to complain about things but felt this was necessary. Cafe Giardino is among the worse dining experiences I’ve ever had. The coffee was just boiling water and milk. I ordered eggs benedict, both muffins were soggy and not toasted, both eggs hard and the bacon barely cooked. Side of mushrooms had a lemon rind in which we were told by management was to stop them going to dark while they were left to serve. How long had they been out? £25 I will never get back. Genuinely this was so bad all I could do was laugh.

Clean and comfortable restaurant offers dine in or takeaway. All day breakfasts available. A range of sandwiches prepared fresh with good quality ingredients. Delicious pasta dishes as well as a variety of tasty mixed salads. There is also an outdoor terrace seating area.

Cafe Giardino is a great place to have a relaxing coffee and sandwich - and there are so many fillings to choose from. Yum!

Ordered the poached eggs and avocado on toast which came with tomatoes and a pesto drizzle. What I got was more like a bruschetta as the eggs were tiny and the avocado almost non existent.

We ordered two salads and a coffee, it cost £30. All the salads were pretty tasteless and most of them covered in watery mayonnaise. The person serving us was indifferent and basically unhelpful. The only reason i have given them 1 star is for the coffee which was ok.

Stopped in for a coffee on Friday morning while shopping and running errands. It was very quiet, but even so the barista didn’t seem to have the time to be courteous. He also got our coffee order wrong - even after we repeated it twice - not that it really mattered because nothing could have saved those terrible coffees. No vegan cakes, biscuits or pastries either. Really unpleasant experience generally and we won’t be back. There are plenty of other cafes in Bromley with better coffee and a better atmosphere. Two stars only because we had no trouble getting a seat, because it seemed child-friendly and because the loos were clean.

Popped in for a quick coffee and snack before seeing a show at the Churchill Theatre. When in Bromley always a must for the friendly helpfull service they give.

Un muy buen bar de ensaladas, pero la comida estaba llena en un plato demasiado pequeño para ello. Cuando la carne era plonker en la parte superior era difícil de cortar ya que estaba encima de la ensalada. El personal que sirve la ensalada era genial y rápido. Sin embargo, esto no fue igualado por el personal de la caja fuerte que parecía apresurado y desorganizado.

Went in this afternoon for a cup of tea, the lid on the tea pot was chipped in 2 areas it was cracked and chipped inside, my husbands cup had lipstick on and when we asked for a clean cup the lady just looked and and walked away not even bringing a clean cup

Busy so put off by that as difficult to get a table. Not a comfortable place to eat. Food so so. Not impressed.

Breakfast for three at £30 and to have an egg shell in a fried egg is beyond me. To top it off the manager had the cheek to tell me these things happen. He also asked if he should refund the funds for the breakfast which I declined. Ideally you wouldn't be requesting you would be just doing.

We had lunch here during a shopping trip to Bromley. Perfectly situated for lunch time shoppers. Basic lunch menu. We had tomato and cheese toasties and a cup of tea. No complaints, very tasty. Plenty of space, comfortable and pleasant surroundings

Been going to this coffee shop in the glades for ages. I highly reccomend it for the quality of the products sold, for the hygiene standards and the service provided by its staff.

I visited Giardino Pronto in Regent Arcade Bromley today

We were on a shopping trip to Bromley and had breakfast and had a very disappointing meal. The breakfast took an age to get out to us and then the food was only warm not hot, I would have sent it back but we were very short of time. Overall I would say that I was disappointed on the quality and price of the food, on a plus point the staff were very polite.

Went to the smaller branch opposite Debenhams. Food was well prepared and served quickly. Excellent choice of food although not as bigger selection as in their larger restaurant. Friendly service and happy to give advice.

This a nice place to go in Bromley if you are looking for a quick snack. There are a selection of dishes ranging from made to order sandwiches, salads and hot dishes. There’s also a selection of desserts and hot and cold drinks. The food is selected, paid for and collected at the counter and there is free seating. So you can be as quick or slow as you need and the area is quite large but can be more congested during the busier times. The prices are quite cheap and portions are generous and the location is in the Intu Shopping Centre in the heart of Bromley so is a great place to stop for a rest or to meet friends

Unlike its Croydon counterpart Cafe Giardino does do what it suggests by its name, providing no nonsense cafe type food overlooking the park behind or besides the Glades shopping complex. It’s a spacious area with a useful counter right at the front for the swift order of sandwiches and paninis in contrast to the much larger servery well within the cafe proper where a much wider range of foods including pastas and baked potatoes are available. The ham and cheese panini I ordered accompanied by a can of San Pellegrino juice arrived quickly and rather hit the spot.

My son and husband ordered the all day breakfast , it didn’t look very appetising when it arrived , it also only came with one piece of bacon when menu stated two. When we asked about this there was no apology , but after they started eating 3 pieces of bacon were brought to the table, Staff were abrupt , not friendly and I would certainly not reccomend for the price . Food was quite tasty but We won’t be returning.

Stopped by here for a tea & ended up having jacket potato that had tons of filling, really nice. Others ordered the full English & struggled to eat it all. Tea could have been better quality & lots of tables uncleared although not that busy.

My family and i went for breakfast. For all 3 of us a full English was over £21. When it arrived it looked awful. It was covered in grease and the mushrooms were brunt. The rest was just as bad. The toast was not even toasted. If you want to eat here, don't. I would recommend you go somewhere else.

Went in with a couple of friends for lunch. The service was good; the food was good. BUT we had to put up with parents of toddlers using the place as a creche while the mothers chatted, oblivious to what their kids were up to. One child even rode his scooter up and down the restaurant with the waitresses skirting round him, trying to avoid an accident.

Stopped off with the girls whilst waiting for the MRS to finish her shopping. Very excellent service

Had a sndwich lunch here with a friend recently. Nice environment and plenty of seating, although it can get busy. Freshly made sandwich was very nice indeed, with plenty of choice for fillings. Good selection on other items for lunch too. Will definitely return.

Just sat down to a lovely cappuccino and bacon sandwich on brown bread very tasty sitting on a comfortable armchair I could be indoors very peaceful and resting before I hit the shops again

Located in the glades shopping centre, it's a bit of an oasis away from the mad rush of the shopping mall.

We have eaten quite a few times here. It is a shopping mall type cafe / restaurant so it somewhere to linger and relax but it serves very good quality food and is well run. Very nice place to stop mid shop. Generally quite busy but big enough to find a table. Also we eis to kept on top of in terms fo cleanliness.

Always enjoy a visit to cafe giardino. Lovely choice of food hot and cold. Sandwiches and rolls etc are made to order. Hot food is great. Order at counter and collect at end when pay or they bring to table if not ready. Price is ok for what you get. Good quality.

Sé que hacen un buen almuerzo pero el desayuno es horrible, pedí un bocadillo de salchichas y fue asqueroso, la salchicha era barato y calentado en un microondas. Sin duda evitar para el desayuno!

Esto es efectivamente la cantina de los Glades. Es cafe insignia es de primera categoría en variedad y precio. La simple oferta comida, patatas, ensaladas, sándwiches y pasta con muchas coberturas y opciones de relleno.

Llamado aquí para el almuerzo en festivo el lunes. El lugar estaba muy lleno y por consiguiente los muchachos faltos de detrás del mostrador eran como pollos sin cabeza. El macho que presume de ser líder del equipo detrás del mostrador era muy grosero y tan desdeñoso; la comida tardó años en llegar y tomó tanto tiempo para ser entregado que hacía bastante frío por el tiempo llegó a mi mesa. No nos volveremos ni lo recomendamos. La comida es buena pero cara; un establecimiento desordenados con mesas desordenada sucias; uno hasta lo que tomó años para pagar y no estoy seguro de su papel personal de mala gestión. porque Solía ser mucho mejor.

Cafetería concurrida bien organizado, con mucha variedad. Hacen deliciosos sándwiches con una amplia variedad junto con pasteles deliciosos. Buen servicio amable - puede ser muy concurrida, pero vale la pena la espera. Nos visita a menudo cuando en Bromley y es popular entre los lugareños. Buenas vistas de la Queens Gardens y preciosa terraza.

This is ok if you want a quick cupa inbetween shopping or after shopping before going home nothing spectacular but friendly

The food taste good (good but not exceptional), but the portion and the the prices are good. I usually go to giardino durning my lunch because of their fast service approach.

Intu Bromley aka The Glades now has a huge amount of competition in terms of places to get a snack.Obviously Cafe Giardino is complacent about their ability to attract customers.I went into today for a late lunch. I chose a Giardino Special Pannini. Apparently there wasn't one of this variety amongst the sad ones on display. I thought 'oh good', I'll get a freshly made one brought to the table.I sat waiting for about 10/15 minutes. Meanwhile a waitress came round clearing the tables. Like an automaton she picked up my teapot of freshly brewed tea and jug of milk.Meanwhile I asked a waiter to check on my food. He found it and delivered it to me about 5 minutes later. It was tepid...suggest it had been sat around for a while. It was bland. Maybe Giardino specials are paninis filled with scraps.Next time I am in Bromley, I'll go to one of the many other restaurants.

We always eat here whilst shopping in Bromley. Friendly staff and really tasty food. What more do you want? Reasonable prices. Yep they indeed are pretty well priced. So get down there and give it a go.

Went here for a coffee and sandwich with my wife, my wife chose a cheese sandwich,while she was deciding what else to have with the cheese the man serving asks bluntly "toasted" she didnt answer as she was still looking at the fillings again he said "toasted" still looking he raises his voice "yes or no" "yes" she replied and with that he whisks the sandwich away into the sandwich toaster and said rudely "wait at the end".I hope this man is not the boss if he treats his customers like this what must he treat his staff like.Very poor indeed.

Just popped into Giardino for a take away latte after always walking past and admiring. I was left waiting at the counter for a few minutes while the guy serving took a phone call, but I was not in a rush. I was just at the coffee bar side.I took a soya latte. Price was cheaper for a takeaway £2.21, I'm happy to pay that any time. Was lovely coffee

Had lunch here today with my husband ...as soon as we got to the counter we were asked what we wanted we hadn't even looked at the filling choice for a sandwich ...when I replied we need to decide first ...he started tapping his knife on his chopping board ...there was no que just the two of us...he asked again I replied don't know yet ! When we had decided I had prawn and mayo my husband chicken spinach and cheese mix ...we also ordered two coffees ...coffee was nice but the sandwich filling was tasteless no flavour at all very disappointing I expected more for nearly £16....will not be returning !

This is a bit of a gem in Bromley. They have an extensive selection of freshly prepared food and some of the best pastas I have ever had. Very very good for a quick lunch if you are in the area.

We wanted a quick bite to eat while visiting The Glades shopping centre in Bromley. We went into Café Giardino which is a very large restaurant with a small amount of outside seating. We sat outside as it was a glorious day.The choices of food are very numerous with various sandwiches, bread or baguettes, build your own salads, hot food which was delivered to your table. On walking through the restaurant, past the very long counter at which you place your order, the various selections all looked excellent. We went for two full-sized “build your own salads” one with a crumbed chicken and the other with an avocado topping. The server was happy to split these toppings between the two salads. The food was tasty and very fresh. I would definitely use this chain again for a quick bite to eat at lunchtime,

Went on a Saturday .My wife and I ordered chicken pasta .Unfortunately there was only one tiny piece of chicken in the pasta .Very disappointed .

That basically sums it up. Place is badly organized as well, they expect you to know 'the system' and the females were basically rude I felt. The blokes had a smile on their faces though.

Stopped here for an enjoyable lunch. Thankfully, I ordered a small salad, as small it wasn't! Hearty mix of pulses and vegetables, a good choice of dressings. Service good and it was nice to be able to sit on the balcony and get a view across Queen Ann Square.

I have been here several times for lunch with my friends. The choices for lunch are extensive I love the baked potatoes with crayfish & avocado, these are dreamy and really filling great value. I would certainly recommend this Cafe it is very clean and welcoming.

This is a good place to come for food after shopping at the mall. They offers good selection of fresh salad and pasta, on a budget.

This is a very good outlet with a varied menu very well served by extremely efficient staff nothing is too much trouble for them, very helpful and another good sign is that they are always busy

We stopped to refuel recently during a shopping trip and had an enjoyable lunch - a very good range of options - breads, panini's salads, jacket potatoes and cakes. It was so good we returned later in the day for another coffee!Friendly and efficient service.Recommended

Bit expensive..over 6 Pounds for a milk shake and a very small caramel shortbread but I suppose that is London prices hey? Meals would have been better value. Coffees over 2.20 as well.

My sisters choice again, and what a good one She fancied an egg mayonnaise sarnie , we reckoned it contained at least 5/6 eggs , I had prawn mayonnaise , and that was also veritably stuffed with lovely prawns . The brown bread was lovely , and the coffee I had, very good . Looking around , the pasta dishes also looked delicious . There were also cakes , but I didn't dare even look at them . I would like to return and try the pasta AND the cakes . Family friendly and very helpful staff ! An outside balcony with a fantastic view. First class !

I haven't been to Bromley for some time and looking for somewhere to eat remembered the name Giardino so thought I would try it out My first impression was a strange sort of 'Old folks home' smell when I walked through the door then a food hygiene rating of 4 which made me think the place had gone down 'a bit' then as I was looking at the menu my ears caught the sound of HELLO YOU W****R hows ye going shouted to one the guys taking orders so thought it best just to order a large coffee - mistake should have been a small one, after putting in 4 sugars I felt I could drink it also had a scone that was O.K.

I came here today for some lunch, haven't been here for a while and really fancied a lasagna. I did come at the lunch time rush and the staff were lovely and friendly. The lasagna was a good amount, reasonably priced and yummy! Definitely recommend!

Awful coffee really tasted and smelt of parsnips,food wasn't very good either,they've cut back on fillings,should of taken a photo of the side salad garnish,it was so poor,used to go here regularly a couple of years ago so went back,no wonder it wasn't full at lunch time.

5th visit here. Food is not bad. Freshly prepared which is nice. Design is clean and comfortable, nothing edgy or trendy. Coffee though is not up to the standard of the new central London standards, a little bit behind the established chains even, so room for improvement here. Overall a decent pit stop if you are shopping in the area.
