Really nice food, great service.

A traditional cafe, customer toilet is always clean and maintained. The food is nice and decently priced, and OMG...their Hot Chocolate is the best I've ever had! 😃

Reading all the other reviews I really don’t know how they have the cheek to say the food is good 😂 First visit I had a brekkie there, the quality stood out as been very very cheap from the first bite. At over a tenner I was surprised. Nearly a year later, I go back to see if it’s changed. It hasn’t. Unless I hear of a change of ownership I’ll never be back. Disappointed as it’s on my doorstep. Another thing is the manager. When paying the staff at the till (of which it’s cash only or bank transfer 🤷‍♂️😂) he stands over them making the whole process rather uncomfortable for all involved! Nice place, poorly executed.

Had food poisoning in this place. Never again! Rude staff and super rude owner. Stay away!

Threatened and intimidated by the owner! Been in this eatery by myself, I've ordered a simple fish and chips and bottle of water, everybody was eating and I was the only customer to serve, wasn't busy either, two tables sat after me and they been served before me. Fine I didn't complained, I work in hospitality and i know mistakes happens. after 45 minutes waiting finally I get my food but the waiter had his thumb into the coleslaw. I told him I didn't want to eat it because of that and he denied everything on my face. Couldn't wait again for another one since my bus was due in 10 minutes. Kindly I've asked to pay just for my water and leave, guess what fellas! The owner "chef" approached to me threatening and start to shout on my face <<what's your problem! What's your problem! Come outside! Come outside!>> intimidating me and trying to extort me £10.50 for a 500ml bottle of water threatening to call the police if I wouldn't pay for cross contaminated food I didn't have. The dude claimed to give him my name, harassed and intimidated wanted to pay by card but the owner claimed cash only. Scandalous and shocking! My lawyer will be in touch. luckily coincidence a guy who I met on bus asked why i didn't called the police telling me he was there too.

I love this cafe as, the staff are always polite and friendly. The food is also very good and a great choice.

Go in every Saturday for breakfast. Staff are so welcoming and always have a smile for everyone who walks through the door. The food is amazing and cooked to perfection whether it's eggs on toast, full breakfast or even a dinner. Prices are extremely hard to beat too.

We In For A Treat. Oh Yes Had A Treat A Bad One...! We Won't Go There Again. I Asked For A Child's Size Portion. For My Friend... Did We Get It Nooooo They Don't Listen To You At All The Waitress A No More Children Just Left School. Attitude Not Good At All. £32 They Charged Us I Said To Them Again A Child Size But Oh Noooo So The Choice Is Yours ! Years Ago It Was Very Good

It's a cafe, serving English Breakfasts etc. I made the mistake of not going here and having a McDonald's breakfast instead, you live and learn! Staff take your order, bring the food, don't bother you. All good for me. So far, the best place for breakfast in Long Eaton.

Expensive for 2 All day breakfast and 2 Cappuccino £25. Went to pay, said cash only. Nearest bank is opposite end of the high street near Iceland. When I asked where are the signs or why didn't anyone say when ordering, they said people keep taking the signs down! I asked what does a disabled person do? Definitely not returning,

absolutely beautiful food! we had the chicken shish the chicken had so how much flavour and really big portion sizes. we had to take away as was on our lunch break

The food is great but its now more expensive and isnt handled very well. Not all the food on the homemade menu is homemade. The service is amazing, the waiters are lovey though the waiters don't recieve the tips and they go straight to the owner. The atmosphere is nice when youre sat away from the kitchen as you can often hear lots of arguing going on with the chef in the back. Not too bad of a café, but not great management either.

The staff are wonderful! There's an incredible women there called Kathryn who is so sweet, kind and helpful to everyone and is especially great with individuals with disabilities. And the kitchen staff were fabulous and had to issues with altering our orders, and chopping things up for us while cooking I'm blown away by the inclusivity and kindness I've seen these past few times I've been. Thank you ❤️

We have been going here for a while now. Wow could not believe how much the price's have gone up. No fault with this place, the staff all of them give a good welcome. We will really have to think when we go again. Sad really because we all realize things have gone up, gas , electric etc. Normally it used to be difficult to get a seat here, but not today. I just hope you keep going because cannot fault the food or anything. Did not give five star's only because of the price.

We have been a few times now and it was brilliant every time. The food is delicious and fresh and the staff are very lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommend cafe delight to anyone.

Nice, clean cafe on the Long Eaton high street, near to a set of parking spaces for Blue Badge drivers. Lovely owners who live locally. Expect a warm and friendly welcome and service. A decent choice of fresh food and drinks at a low price without the faff.

I usually avoid town centre cafes as the standard of food generally. Lower. But this cafe blew my mind I only went in for a breakfast and saw it all cooked fresh and really enjoyed every mouthful. The best cafe in the county Highly recommended

Have been today, one breakfast, an omlette and a burger, plus coffee. Really good service from the order taker guy, really friendly considering my dad is deaf. Lovely all round. Would absolutely recommend.

Welcoming family cafe. Banana longboat perfect so I had 2. Husband had an excellent omelette. Service is excellent. Very very clean cafe. Rated 5 the top mark. Accessible toilet. All on one level. Indoor and outdoor seating. Just a lovely place. Covid arrangements excellent. Highly recommended.

Pity, used to really like it here. Staff are brilliant, really friendly and polite but food has gone slightly downhill. Latte coffee needs coffee putting in please, not just warm milk. Pies are microwaved too much so they become hard. Sausage and burger quality not good.

Had to wait a good half hour to be served also same waiting for the meal meal wise I have had better.. Looks like warmed up dog food.. I'll think twice before I ! ! go there again..

We googled heavily the local restaurants of the highest quality reviews before visiting here. Unfortunately, myself and my friends were sorely disappointed. Dish 1 and 2 (The King Size Burger): The burger arrived looking lush and juicy. Unfortunately though we were only provided with one burger patty instead of two. The kitchen staff rectified this. Tucking into the burger was like eating a bowl of grease. I'm all up for a greasy meal but this was like drinking pure burger fat. The chips however, we delightful and cooked to perfection. Dish 3 (Fish, Chips and Peas): The fish came out burnt and the lettuce tasted like urine. The peas had gone passed the sell by and were heavily overcooked. My friend only managed a few bites before retching and vowing to never eat here again. Once again however, the chips were wonderful. Dish 4 (Steak and Onion Pie): There was no pie! They had run out. But that's okay we changed the order to Sheppard's Pie. We were instead served with a few slices of what can only be described as lamb jerky with copious amounts of mashed potatoes. Sent it back! They then gave us cheap chicken nuggets and chips which were just about bearable to consume. General aesthetics: Air filled with grease and a tatty style. Looks to have been once an incredible cafe but is now run down and in need of some refurbishment. The open plan kitchen is really nice to see apart from when you catch the chef's dismal cooking style. Staff: The waitresses were wonderful and met our every demand. However, when asked if we could have the prices lowered due to poor food and a ruined lunch, we were told no. We then had to barter with the chef (who didn't even speak English so communication was limmited) in order to pay only £20.00 for four meals that were all sent back and barely consumed, when the finally got the orders right. I would highly recommend steering away from this disgusting restaurant, if you want food. The cans of coke however, were flavoured to perfection.

Service was a little slow but it was busy and baking hot weather. The food was really tasty and well worth it.

Came for a meal on Sunday lunchtime with my husband. I ordered a jj special which was absolutely gorgeous and would whole heartedly recommend. My husband had an extra large breakfast and much to his delight he was not disappointed, the quantity was massive and we both cleared our plates. IF I had to criticise at anything it was due to my food coming 2 mins faster than his but his was alot of food so I don't really blame them. Would definitely recommend and come back. Staff was amazing and very polite could not criticise their service at all.

The young girl that served me was very perlite. Only had a cup of tea but it was nice and strong would go back for a cupa

The food here is terrible, the waitresses are very polite and friendly however the chef spoke to the waitresses as if they were his servants. The food was cold and came out 5 mins after each other. When in a group all the food should be brought out together. I have seen the pot washer touch the food with his bare hands after washing dirty pots. Won’t be returning here, wish all the best for all the waitress’s here.

First time here and I got top notch service. I have to walk with a stick be of Multiple Sclerosis and the ladies that work here are more than happy to take my order at the table so I dont need have to walk up to order. Food and a coffee are great!! I will be back!

Alex is a lovely chap here. He provides such good service with a smile. The cafe is spacious and can accommodate about 50 people at full capacity. All food is cooked properly and is very tasty. The prices are good too. You look to pay about £4.50-£5 for a dinner which is on large plates. Bargain! I've never left there half full. It's a nice community too in the centre of town. Try it and see. For those not knowing, this is the old Cafe Zing building.

Astounding! I can not recommend this place enough. Table service was great, milkshake was divine with ice cream as well! The chicken shish with rice and salad was out of this world. It was marinated perfectly, nice and juice and brown and the combination of coleslaw and salads was wonderful. I've found a new home! Thank you. You need a card machine tho!
