Cafe Brera in City of London, Westminster

I visited Brera Cafe today with the intention of getting some computer work done. I found the environment noisy, primarly due to loud music and the staff was singing and seemed very relaxed. The music doesnt bother me, but it was way too loud around the noon time. I couldnt make work phones as the management would have thought I am at the party or disco. Further more the connection was poor and I requested wifi details, the staff member provided me with incorrect information, I couldnt connect. Nobody approched me after they brought my drink. I was thinking of having some lunch but staff seemed too busy doing their task or chatting together. The restroom wasnt tidy, with no hand wash and used toilet paper on the floor. It is only one toilet but seems that nobody cleans it often. Such a shame as it is a lovely location and spacious place to work but wont go there again.

The place is infested with mice!! Eeek! When we pointed it out to the staff they just shrugged their shoulders and said yes there are 100s in the area. I asked what they were doing about it and they said nothing. I thought this was a great spot for shisha, Margherita pizza, amazing banana bread but this has really put me off. I couldn't even finish my meal. Mouse droppings can be toxic and carry disease. The non chalant attitude of the management was awful especially given hygiene standards in the food industry.

Nice Italian cafe - one of the few open on a Saturday morning in Canary Warf so was busy. We asked a waiter about gluten free options, specifically bread - said he’d find out but never came back. When we ordered we asked again & the sullen waiter just said ‘no’ & offered no alternatives. I wanted my egg cooked a different way than on the menu & the waiter refused saying I needed to order a completely different dish. Never known a problem before swapping a poached egg for scrambled 🤷‍♀️ When the food came it was actually nice - but we were both eating something we wouldn’t have chosen due this establishments inflexibility & lack of accommodation for food intolerances.

I took my 7 year old son to the winter lights, and took my son to Brera for his tea for pizza. As soon as I walked in I asked do they do a child’s pizza which I was told they do. Fine. I ordered a margarita with some salami on it expecting to pay a little more for the salami . When we got our pizza’s my son’s pizza was a lot smaller than an adult’s standard pizza. When I got the bill they had charged me the full price for the price as an adult pizza and added £3.50 for the small amount of salami they had put on it! On top of that there was apparently an optional 12.5% service charge that had just been added to bill as the waiter just put it on the machine without asking me. Absolute disgrace. No wonder I saw probably local people in there sharing a pizza they have probably be stung too!

Considering the lovely food and furnishings, the waitress has a complete chop on her shoulder, why is management not checking on how slow and inefficient she is - Erica I believe she is called. I don’t like calling people out but after 4 visits and the same attitude - it’s annoying! We love the food not the waitressing

Sorry to give 1 star, but I was very disappointed. I liked the almond croissant and the cappuccino but the extremely low service quality combined with the very expensive price, make the good food worth nothing.

Fantastic ambience. I’ve ordered the red velvet cake and charcoal latte! Let’s see how it goes! It is brightly lit, beautifully decorated and pleasantly noisy:-)

The three of us went out to Cafe Brera this weekend with the intention of going for shisha and to have some food. When we arrived we weren’t greeted or shown to a table, so we sat down assuming someone would come to take our order. After several attempts to get different bartenders attention, we were waiting for 10 minutes and then we noticed QR Codes on the table to order. We went through the process of downloading the app and saving our payment details and in order to make sure we were ordering from the right place I got up and approached a member of staff. Their response was ‘I’ll be with you in a bit” and they walked away. Then a different bartender walked past and I asked about the shisha, he said that we were sitting in the wrong seats for this, so we moved. When the drinks then came, we were told that we shouldn’t have ordered on the app. We asked again about the shisha after about 30 minutes waiting and we were told that the staff member would be right out. We stayed in the venue for an hour and at that time the shisha was nowhere to be found. The attitude of the staff members was dismissive and rude and we weren’t being demanding at all. It would have made a massive difference if the customer service was even a little bit better. I understand that it might have been busy and we all have bad days, but we didn’t feel welcome at all - we felt invisible.

Very good environment with very good friendly behaviour WITH AJ really enjoy a lot. Highly recommend guys

Not a bad place but they don’t take cash and when you tap on the contactless machine to pay, you then realise that an OPTIONAL SERVICE CHARGE OF 12.5% was already added to the final bill. This put me off. Not very optional, is it?

Highly recommend! Nice atmosphere great staff especcialy barr attendend Viktoria she made the best aperol spritz ever! If you want to try the reall Italian aperol spritz you must to come here and as Viktorija to make it

Not sure about this place. We we’re given a table that was apparently wiped down after the rain but was still wet when we arrived. We asked a member of staff if we could move but she rudely explained we couldn’t and that they were fully booked. In the 2 hours we were there none of the tables we asked to move to were occupied. Additionally we were told that we had to go up to the bar to order as all the waiters were drenched from the rain earlier that day. I didn’t mind this but the bar was extremely unorganised and chaotic. The whole interaction seemed very unprofessional. It’s a real shame because the atmosphere was great and so is the venue. Also the pizza we ordered was delicious even though they got one of our orders wrong. Only let down is the service or lack thereof. Extremely unfriendly and unprofessional staff behind the bar and also the toilets were absolutely disgusting.

Always getting my coffee from here + paninis are amazing, so many options! And they are massive! Also big choice of salads!

We had breakfast here which was very good. They have a deal baked breakfast + coffee + jus for 10 pounds and I recommend it highly! The baggel was alao very nice. Staff was friendly, location is convenient.

This is a great little place to grab a made-to-order salad or sandwich at lunchtime. Coffee is great and there are some nice tables to sit down and eat if you're not heading back to the office. The pasta salad with pesto is particularly recommended....

Nice little place before going home. Very clean and staff very helpful. Did not see a toilet but did not ask plus you are a minute from the train station! Nice cakes on display. Till next time.
