The treats are outstanding! The service that Rez and the team gave us was unbelievable. We had 4 different type of bakes for our wedding and they went down a storm, so much so we didn’t even get to sample them all. More reason to come back and eat more!!! Thank you for being amazing and would 100% recommend to anyone!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The team at The Cake Club have been absolutely amazing in planning and creating different bakes for our wedding day. They were always very friendly and efficient during our contact and the proof of their skills is definitely in the pudding! We ordered 6 different bakes and they were all absolutely delicious and our guests hoovered them all up so quickly! You’re real masters at what you do and we’ll be recommending you to anyone looking for baked goods in the future ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had the cake clubs cakes at our wedding reception, and Omg, they were insanely good. (We had 6 lots of different tray bake style cakes and a bento size cake) Abbie has been emailing back and fourth with me, the contact/customer service was just amazing, her & her husband helped me pick out some great bakes to have on the day. They were definitely the star of the buffet table! And all my guests just loved the cakes. I don’t think I could hold another event without some of their delicious traybake cakes now! And such a bonus that we can order online when we get that cake club craving! Thank you again Abbie & team xx

Firstly, the cakes were tasty & a great portion size 😍 but unfortunately, the scone was dry & the coffee was scolding hot which led to the coffee tasting a little burnt. Would go back for a takeaway cake box, but wouldn't be fussed about sitting in for coffee.

The staff were really friendly and the service amazing. I just messaged them on Instagram and they let me know what was still in stock then put aside the products I wanted in a little box so I didn't miss out. The products themselves are amazing. We brought 4 and they are probably the best bakery products I've ever had. Definitely recommend and definitely going again

First time visiting and we were very impressed would definitely recommend this cafe! Great coffee nice little touch with the metal straw in the iced coffee, the food was really good didn’t have to wait long and would come back to sample more from the menu

I love this little coffee shop, haven't eaten there yet but what i have seen it looks delish. Very clean staff are great serve you with a smile. You can sit outside and they even have water bowls for the dogs. Try for yourself.

Been before and really enjoyed but visited yesterday with my daughter and my sister/nephew were meeting us. Stood for 10 mins getting ignored to ask if it was ok to take a table as there was still pots on it. The lady said yes and she’d clear the pots shortly although rather abruptly. Waited 15 mins and still no pots cleared. My sister tried to get a Highchair and couldn’t get to them as they were blocked and the same lady just watched on. Didn’t find the staff very friendly at all, and ended up walking out to go elsewhere as had 2 hungry children wanting food and seemed to be a never ending wait

Nice, tidy, organised place with delicious foods, ok coffees. It is great to stop by for a meal, snack or just a coffee. These is a bit room to improve customer service wise but no biggie. I wanted to give it 4 encouraging starts. I recommend this place

I love the place. Always do top quality breakfast.

We now live local to this little shop of delights and I can not fault it. Every time we have been in to eat or to grab something to takeaway the food and coffee/shakes has always been amazing. The different specials mean we get try new things all the time and they are just incredible creations. The cakes are just another level 👌 again it's never the same stuff on offer daily which is really nice. My favourite are the cinnamon swirl cookies! I have bought many cakes for friends too and everyone always comments on them being the best they have had. Highly recommend. They can get busy when dining in so always pre book a table so your not dissappointed. Staff are lovely and friendly and I'm so pleased they are just on my doorstep now well worth the cost of moving house 🤣

Great little cafe, good coffee and tea not eaten anything here but all looks good and fresh, always a good atmosphere friendly staff.

Been here a few times now, has been excellent every time. They never rush to put anything on a plate, everything is always cooked with love and care no matter how busy they are. Always high quality ingredients, cooked really well. They also do incredible traybakes.

I thought that I should best check this place out, after seeing a work colleague posting some good looking food on social media. I went for a flat white, & unfortunately not the best I’ve had compared to other places, this however was forgotten about as the food was lush. I chose to go for the chicken & halloumi burger with skin on fries. The burger was packed full of flavour, & I didn’t have to wait long either! I also had a garlic mayo dip to go with the fries. Before leaving I took away two desserts, these being raspberry sandwich cookie & a chocolate button cookie, both of which tasted lovely. Despite this place being small, it still has a single toilet, with a baby change facility which I was happy to see. I will definitely be visiting again in the future, for food & drink!

Lovely lunch time visit, even though they were short staffed and operating a shortened menu, service was quick with lots of yummy cakes to choose from.

Went to the Aroma Caffe for breakfast. I treated myself to the Eggs Benedict. It was nicely cooked and well presented . Good place for a rather nice breakfast.

I came in to get some breakfast before I started work and the two people (a lovely lady and a gentleman) greeted me with a smile and upon asking about Vegetarian options, they showed me the menu which had a lovely choice of Veggie-friendly foods, all available to take-out. I chose Smashed Avocado with Poached Egg and it was delicious. They were even kind enough to have it taken down to where a work a few shops down. Brilliant service, will definitely be popping in again the next time I find myself in Spondon.

This place is perfect!! Honestly been here a few times now and had to give 5* to say you are a fantastic little cafe. Food is fresh!!! And so tastey! The cakes are naughty little devils that trick me to buy them but absolutely delicious and life’s too short not to eat cake! 100% recommend

Visited here just after main lunch session. Usually only been for breakfasts. I had chicken and hallumi burger. Other half had Hunters chicken burger. They were both excellent. Other half stated burger was best they'd had in years. Took a piece of caramel blondie and rice krispie slice, both are gorgeous as ever. Been coming here since managers Dad ran it and it's just as good as always. Plus with the breakfasts the bread is the best.

IF footfall is anything to go by then Aroma is doing something so right, there was a steady flow of customers coming to sit in for food or takeaway. Cafe is well laid out with some seating outside for those warmer days, they have a small menu on offer which has enough items on it to please most people and a yummy selection of cakes. Staff are welcoming and polite with service that is quick and efficient, oh and by the way the food is tasty and filling.

Fantastic coffee, breakfast and really nice staff too. One of my favourite brekkie/lunch spots and great value too.

Lovely little cafe in the middle of Spondon. Decided to pop in for a bite to eat as we were in the area. Everything was cooked fresh to order and was absolutely faultless. All quality ingredients and well worth a visit. Find this useful give a like 👍 follow

The coffee is very good, the food looks good as well but we have never eaten there. Nice sitting outside as well with being away from traffic.

Top cafe, food is always spot on and Reasonably priced. Seating area is only small tho so ring ahead to avoid disappointment as it is a popular spot.

Possibly the best coffee in Spondon

I called in on Christmas Eve. Just wanted a coffee and a silce of cake. On entering, is busy most of the tablets were reserved. Because I suffer from anxiety issues, I didn't feel comfortable. I was told by the staff there was one table vacant. I ordered my coffee a flat white at the counter also ordered a slice of cake.my coffee came, to be fair the flat white was of good quality, but they forgot the cake. I just paid for the coffee, they wished me a merry Christmas, Which was a nice touch. But I won't be returning

Lovely cafe and very welcoming as a newcomer with small dog . Had super coffees and although we didn't eat the food and cakes looked wonderful.

Took awhile to get served but lovely place food next time

Today I ventured into cafe aroma after seeing all the Facebook publicity. I thought we’ll it’s worth the visit. I normally just get something from the co op or a local van on the roadside. The exterior it looks like a small local cafe but nice seating and tables and very clean area, no wrappers on the floor or food lying around. Inside there is not many many tables but that creates the experience then of a nice spacious environment which is good. The food PREPERATION area is fully visible so you can see what’s going on and hoping and praying those sausages in the pan are yours! The food smells nice as does the cafe itself making it a nice area to stand or sit in. They do sit in meals or takeaway. The menu is very well thought out, not basic and small, small and adequate which is great really! The staff (two females and a male) were on site at the time, very polite and friendly, chatty and a great atmosphere between them and customers. For what I paid for which to be fair on the price is very minimal for a sausage and bacon cob, the quality of food and presentation is fantastic!

First time visitor. Popped in for breakfast having seen the Google reviews and had been recommended it by freinds, Great service, great food, great staff. What more is there to ask? 👍🏻👍🏻there is no specific parking but there is a public car park just in front and plenty on road.

This cafe has been our perfect little treat during lockdown and continues to be fantastic now that we're out of it. The food is superb and at a reasonable price. We often opt for the varied weekly specials that they run. The coffees are always delicious and the cakes are amazing.. when we're feeling naughty. Perfect for breakfast/lunch/brunch. Best little cafe in Derby, if you ask me!

I popped in today to grab some takeaway coffees to have in peace as the littlest one napped in the car.I’ve heard about this place and know about it from the local Vegan Bakery who supplies yummy treats here.My welcome was so friendly, the staff were smiley and helpful.They were accommodating, making the drinks to order, mine skimmed milk and sweeteners and the other with whole milk and sugar.Labelled so we knew as well!I chose two pieces of cake, it was tough because it all looked so good. The only thing I would say is, at least two of the cakes were vegan but not labelled in the counter as such. This would be helpful, one of my children can’t eat dairy and sometimes we all don’t have cake if there is nothing for suitable for him. If it was clear from the start that they had vegan choices available it would make it easier to make that decision.The drinks were lovely and cakes were too.Maybe next time we will come and sit in for our treats, the menu looked great.

The staff here are brilliant, and so is the food. We rang and ordered a take out breakfast with coffees. The food was ready for the time we asked, and as always was wonderful. The range of home made cakes is brilliant, always a good choice.

A tasty cup of cappuccino and latte , with 2 delicious slices of brownie. All with a great friendly service at a reasonable price.

Now -I’m not going to lie. I contemplated leaving a bad review for the pure fact that if this gem keeps getting discovered by everyone else there will be no cake left for me to buy!! This place is unbelievable. I often got offer boxes of four cakes for £10 during lockdown and they were the best I have ever tasted. My only criticism is that some of the portions were on the smaller side - that may be because I was just so upset at each slice ending though. Great cake, absolutely worth a visit!!!

Love visiting when I'm passing through the village, a sneaky luxury hot chocolate sometimes a lunch date with one of the kids, sometimes when life's hectic just sitting with a beautiful hot chocolate treat and watching the village go by is so relaxing! The staff are FANTASTIC nothing is ever to much, they always go above and beyond! the food is BEAUTIFUL! and the drinks AMAZING especially the delux hot chocolate! we don't get to visit as much anymore due to working full time but when I get chance it's my go to place! One of my many pictures can't seem to find the others! Give it a go you won't be disappointed!!!

Fabulous village cafe - by far the best coffee around ! Very reasonable prices for Breakfast, lunch, brunch, desserts, cakes, shakes and more. I come here often with friends and my children who love the waffles with ice cream Nutella and strawberry’s . Staff are super friendly with a ‘can do attitude’ nothing is too much trouble and they always accommodate all dietary requirements. Highly recommend a visit to Aroma.

Great cafe situated in the heart of spondon,great service with excellent food. Cafe aroma also serves the best coffee in the village. Always worth the visit.

Stopped for lunch and a coffee passing through the village. I was pleasantly surprised to stumble a cross this quaint cafe. Food and drink both lovely, staff were extremely attentive. Would highly recommend stopping if you’re passing by. Look forward to my next visit!

Tucked away in the village of Spondon Derby,is this hidden treasure. There is plenty of choice on the menu for a reasonable price. They will also try and attend to any dietary requirements. Family friendly with an excellent choice of beverages hot or cold. It is definitely worth a visit and value for money.

I’m a regular here and Rez really can’t be faulted, I’ve recently had to go dairy free and that made a change from my regular latte order but Rez took this in his stride, my youngest child has a dairy allergy and I’m breastfeeding, so we are very welcomed and the fact we can have cake thanks to his weekly deliveries of vegan cakes means I’ll never stop going. We mainly do breakfasts though and nothing has stopped us enjoying that, even though a few tweaks have to be made. Want something which isn’t on the menu? No problem they will sort it for you.

Cafe Aroma is a lovely place to meet friends, or for for a quiet coffee. The menu is diverse and nothing is too much trouble to adapt. The surroundings are lovely looking out a well kept green. The owner and staff are a dream. Welcoming, kind, and always seem genuinely pleased to see us. In the past they have warmed baby bottles for me, adapted meals for toddlers and now grant my girls wim foods! This is a lovely place to eat, drink and socialise

I visited Cafe Aroma today with my 7 year old daughter and found the staff to be very friendly with nothing too much trouble. My daughter had a chocolate milkshake which was made to perfection and tasted delicious! The coffee is superb and there is a great selection of food, drinks and homemade cakes to choose from. Our lunch was served promptly and I found the food to be of great quality. There is a free car park just a few steps away from the cafe. I would highly recommend and look forward to visiting this Cafe again soon.

The Cafe Aroma is a lovely place for breakfast or lunch, it is aways popular and the staff are always welcoming and friendy. There is a good variety of tasty food and snacks available.

I absolutely love this cafe. Rez is great he makes perfect drinks and nothing is too much trouble. He is great with all his customers as knows all their regular drinks etc. He is always smiling so if you are feeling down you won’t be for long.

Sat outside and had a sausage cob, milkshake and pot of tea. Friends had late, all lovely. Nice friendly service.

Very busy little cafe, good cup of coffee but the breakfast cob needed a little more filling, staff were friendly and welcoming with quick service.
