Took my youngest son here today after just popping that neck of the woods whilst my eldest was at a birthday party local to park farm, we loved it. Nice staff, I had the cream mushrooms and my son had cheese and ham sandwiches off their kids section. Fantastic prices, I mean seriously great value! We really loved it there, and finished off with an amazing milkshake, will 100% be back

I have been lucky enough to visit the Peacock Lounge a couple of times now. It is a treat for the senses: lovely decor; delectable cooking fragrances; sumptuous seating; relaxed and friendly hubbub; and, of course, delicious food and drinks served in or on beautiful glassware and crockery. I had the doorstop toast during one visit and cake at another, both being thoroughly scrumptious. Hot drinks are well-made. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, too.

Visit regularly for breakfast or lunch. Very popular and busy so we book a table. Food is always really good and staff are friendly and helpful. Good choice of drinks and coffee is really good.

First time here with a group of girlfriends to watch the wonderful Ryan Joseph! What a great place! Full of atmosphere and like minded people. Everyone enjoying themselves. But, writing this review to mention the staff. Such efficient and friendly service for a small but very busy bar. What a breath of fresh air! Thank you for a really fun evening 🙂

Really friendly staff and a nice atmosphere all-round. Tried Eggs Benedict for the first time and was very impressed, great selection of hot and cold drinks too.

Overall this is a lovely little cafe/ bar. I went in the day time and had a ham salad. Service was good and staff were friendly which is always nice to encounter. The only constructive criticism that I have is the quality of the ham served wasn’t the best. It was as like packet ham. If that had been better produce (of which I’d happily pay a bit more for) then I would have given you a 5 star. However, I wouldn’t hesitate returning for a drink.

We’ve just had a birthday afternoon tea here and Iv had to come and write a review as it was absolutely amazing! We had so much food and choice! There where plenty of sandwiches and plenty of different cake varieties + the tea pots where huge! They also catered for gluten free and vegetarian which honestly was beautiful with more than enough options for savoury and sweet , we will definitely be booking to come back here and highly recommend the afternoon tea! Thank you very much x

A massive thank you to Alan and the team at Peacocks for making Terry's birthday night fantastic! Never had a bad night here but this one was extra special. Alan and the team went above and beyond to make it a fabulous night!

Came with a friend for lunch, got a lovely warm welcome. We ordered bacon bree and cranberry Panini and avocado Benedict. Both were absolutely lovely, We had coffee and a fruit tea which were both delicious . lovely atmosphere friendly staff already planning our next visit . Many thanks.🦚

Called in initially just for a drink, but the food being served looked so good we decided to have a snack. Order at the counter, drinks quickly served then snacks followed in quick time. Very friendly and welcoming service from the staff even though it was very busy.

I had my babyshower here today and had the best time! The owners were extremely attentive and met our every request. And as for the food!!!! 10/10. I cannot recommend this place more. Thankyou so much

After a bit of a look around the charity shops, we ended up taking a chance with The Peacock Lounge, after our usual go-to place shut down a while back. Didn't even realise it was there, as we don't tend to go down that part of the shopping centre. But I'm happy we did, because what a place! It has a super cosy feel to it, with a great interior (must be fabulous in the evening!) The staff seemed really pleasant on arrival, and we were able to get a table more or less straight away. They had some good gluten-free options on the menu, and have others too (but understandably, they need prior warning for this.) I decided to have their "Terry's Chocolate Orange" hot chocolate complete with cream, marshmallows and pieces of Terry's which was amazing, especially served in a mason jar (super creamy!) I didn't have any food, but had a slice of their carrot and walnut/pistachio cake and it was divine! Mum had the gluten-free toast with jam and a pot of the white pear and ginger tea, which were given a thumbs up too! Only thing was (and this is in no way a negative) I had to go to the counter to ask about my cake, as it hasn't come to the table with everything else. However, I understand that the place had become quite busy and the staff were trying to sort other orders out too. The gentleman was really good about it, and cut a slice for me there and then. Altogether, it came to a little over £14, which I thought was well worth it. Would love to return again in the future, to try some of the food. Amazing place with a fabulous atmosphere, good food and lovely staff! Definitely a thumbs up for The Peacock Lounge!

Great service, food and drinks whenever I visit

We had really lovely scones and cakes in this welcoming establishment. Good value for money too.

We go in on a Friday and Saturday and we love it, friendly, fun, singers, what more could you want! The comedy club comment he isn’t a regular and has been barred just because they don’t make a scene about it it doesn’t mean he hasn’t dealt with it! Honestly lovely xxx

Great place to visit especially at the weekends when they have live music on, the atmosphere is really good and the staff are always welcoming and attentive. I would recommend a visit 👍

I had a lovely lunch with my Gran! It was quite busy when we arrived but staff were accommodating. Food was yummy 😋 fair price too.

Had a small gathering for my mother in laws 80th,we all had a fabulous time,the staff were amazing and the grazing buffet we had was delicious,i will definately come here again.If you're looking for somewhere for a small gathering dont hesitate to check this gem out.Thank you to you all at the Peacock Lounge

A lovely venue ruined by the clientel and staff disinterested in stamping out racism and misogyny. Went for a comedy night and was at first impressed by the venue, an unassuming little venue that's really opulent inside and has a great menu, had a cheese board which was delicious. However, I went to watch comedy and throughout the performers a table with two gents on were heckling constantly, making misogynistic comments to the female performer and then racist remarks to the other performers, constantly interrupting and disturbing other tables, eventually it boiled over and they left due to one of the comedians calling them out, only for one to then return later in the night to cause more trouble and continue ranting and insulting other paying customers at tables, the bar owner made no effort to diffuse or bar this person, which makes me believe they are regulars, which honestly if that's the kind of customer they want, I don't doubt they will ruin it's reputation alone, the crowd were all very upset and it ruined a great night for new customers like myself. One customer had to tell the returning man to leave and that again shouldn't be forced upon other customers to do so, as he was clearly coming back to insight more trouble, really disappointed with the venue as a result hence the low star review. The bar lady was nice and friendly but again seemed to have no powers to intervene to the problematic customers.

A lovely afternoon ...for a friend's 40th birthday...had to be rearranged when someone was ill...not a problem.....food allergies and veggie catered for with no issues....and no problem we had a baby with us. Thank you for a lovely time...would throughly recommend to all

What an amazing place! Brilliant food, fresh, plentiful, a delightful staff and a great ambiance. Its location in an outdoors shopping centre belies what a real gem this place is and one I will certainly return to.

Lovely place, took my nan, sister and mum for afternoon tea. Great food , lovely choice of sandwiches and cakes on two stands , big teapots of tea and you can have coffee too. I asked for gluten free bread which was no problem at all for them. The homemade scones were a massive hit with us all! I could of just had them , they were so good. Lovely atmosphere and great service, staff very friendly and nothing is to much bother. Worth a visit and good value for money for the afternoon tea.

A little pricey at £20 for 2 sandwiches, A tea and a coffee. The panini was good with melting cheese over meatballs (not quite a Subway but OK) but the cheese and ham on brown was doughy, tasteless and not that good. The coffee was nice. Pity really it could be better with a bit more effort and some quality ingredients.

Lovely café and really good food. Drinks a little pricey, but the service is friendly and efficient in a cozy, quirky café. My only issue, as someone who enjoys a stronger coffee is that the coffee is a bit bland, but that's down to personal taste.

Beautiful afternoon tea, great service and beautiful surroundings. I even got a birthday card. Lots to eat and a nice little box full to take home. Would definitely go again.

We had a family birthday party at the Peacock Lounge. It was excellent. The ambiance is really good and the staff most helpful. Food was better than any buffet we have ever had - huge portions and good quality. The whole experience was great and we will use again for similar private functions as well as popping in for lunches and evening entertainment. If you've not tried it, you should. Great local business.

So much good to say about this amazing place. From my first call to book an afternoon tea to the day we attended and completed our afternoon tea everything was so good and went so smoothly. Staff were very helpful on the phone and listened to the dietary needs and came up with many more delicious food ideas. The day itself the table was set so beautifully, staff were so kind, friendly and very accommodating. The tea served was perfect, food delicious and fresh and atmosphere was lovely. I would highly recommend a meal out here and can't wait to come again. Thank you for making our friends 40th so special. All the little touches were noticed and much appreciated.

We took my 94 year old Mum for an afternoon tea at the Peacock lounge, and all i can say is WOW. The service was fantastic, the choice of sandwiches and cakes was fabulous, the setting was beautiful. It really ticked every box and nothing was too much trouble, and the price is so reasonable. We will definitley go back again, and the grandkids had a picnic lunch, the next day on the lawn with the doggy bag of cakes and sandwiches we didnt eat. You really should try this place, its absolutely lovely.

My first visit to the Peacock Lounge was a brunch and I have to say the sharing boards were fantastic,and there was a choice of prosecco or bottled beers. The staff were brilliant, very helpful and attentive. Had a great time and look forward to going again,highly recommend

Been to this gorgeous gem of a place this afternoon for my Auntie’s 70th birthday. We had afternoon tea which was absolutely superb. Super friendly staff. It’s definite must place to go and I’ll definitely be recommending this place and will be back myself 😊

Fabulous cafe/cocktail bar. Nice hot coffee. Limited menu. Rather noisy but good atmosphere. Plenty of free parking nearby. Excellent location for a catch up with friends.

Lovely, lively venue. Nice coffee, great service. Cafe by day and cocktail bar by night. Absolutely perfect for a night out with the girls. Menu is a bit limited but otherwise a pretty good addition to the area.

Nice surprise this place passed it a few times and never had enough time to go in. Had a lovely lunch, food was tasty and service very good nice warm atmosphere too.

It’s a lovely bar but we had booked a table of 10 and in the evenings the menu is very limited, they only had 4 pizzas left and they were supermarket pizzas. We were offered co op pizzas as an alternative for the full price of a “wood fired” pizza. The food isn’t made on site and pizzas definitely aren’t wood fired.

Liked the ambiance and the service was good and friendly. Good menu choice. The cakes looked good. Unfortunately the bread on my sandwich was very dry which spoiled the experience. My friend was also disappointed with her Earl Grey tea.

Very busy at lunch time , more staff needed as lady behind counter appeared stressed out, soup of the day was 100% out of a tin which was very disappointing as I would expect home made soup for this price and location.

We came to the peacock lounge yesterday for afternoon tea to celebrate a family members birthday. It was absolutely beautiful! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the whole place had a lovely friendly atmosphere. The afternoon tea itself was the best I’ve ever had, it was so tasty and filling that we had to bring some home with us as we just couldn’t finish it. Tea and coffee was refilled for us when we wanted more. The staff were lovely and really friendly. Because we booked to celebrate a birthday, a lovely lady gave a birthday card which was a really nice gesture. We never felt rushed either and had a perfect couple of hours. We can’t wait to come back soon as we enjoyed our experience so much. Can’t recommend this place enough.

We met up with 2 friends for breakfast at The Peacock Lounge yesterday, our first visit. The welcome was warm, the seating comfortable, the service good and the menu choices excellent. One of our group had a full English (not on the menu as that but the staff were happy to cook this); 2 had scrambled egg and smoked salmon and the 3rd eggs Benedict). All agreed we would eat there again.

Loved the Peacock Lounge airy plenty of seating inside or outside. Outside seating is nice as they have decorative animals in the area. Very pleasant. Food is good too good menu choices. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Went with a friend for afternoon tea yesterday, it was absolutely lovely, beautifully made sandwiches which were lovely and fresh, A wide selection of cakes we took a few home because we couldn’t eat them all! We had a huge pot of tea. We also had Prosecco which was delicious. We had cocktails which were equally fabulous ! The staff were very helpful and accommodating, It was a lovely atmosphere. We are already planning another visit . Thank you for your hospitality .

The service provided by the staff is excellent, they are happy and efficient. The coffee and scones were a delight. I will hopefully go again soon.

Booked afternoon tea for a suprise birthday party and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Not only did they cater for the adults they also made sure the kids were well looked after. The sandwiches and cakes were great beautifully presented and they allowed us to put up banners and balloons to personalize the area. I cannot praise the staff enough they made it a very memorable day even giving the birthday girl a card which was a lovely touch. Thank you all

We had a perfect afternoon tea last month. I live hours away but will definitely be making the trip at least annually. Staff were pleasant and passionate, food was perfection. Highly recommended.

Tasteful lounge with nice decor and moretti on draft. Prices were good and small outside area if hot. They had a guy playing the sax which was probably a little loud for the small space, but its nice to have a quaint venue with a little music.

The Peacock lounge put together the most amazing afternoon tea for us. Delivered to our door, complete with disposable cake stands, Earl Grey tea and the most amazing selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones. Thank you so much!
