Can’t rate the welcome and customer service at this fab little cafe/bistro highly enough, it’s consistently top class, the owner is so lovely, and born for hospitality. Nothing is ever too much trouble for him.

Food had no taste. Chicken parmigiana frozen patty with lots of un flavor sauce.

It really is hard to go wrong with Cafe Amore. My personal favorite is their Vegetarian Lasagna.

Excellent Italian Food! We were in Italy a few months ago the food at Cafe Amore was every bit as good and better than some of restaurants we dined at in Italy! The service and people were awesome also! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Our group got 4 individual pizzas. There was plenty to eat, and extra to take home. Each one of us commented how luscious they tasted. We'll definitely be back.

I get the cheese tortellini here and I crave the sauce each time I go back. It’s very flavorful.

I can only say what a rip off. I ordered a sausage sandwich and was asked how many sausages i wanted (strange) . When it arrived i was given 2 very very thin slices of bread with half a sausage that was sliced in half! this only then covered a quarter of the bread area! I will never return again, and spend my hard earned cash trying to help smaller businesses. :(

Great little cafe. Sunday brunch. Great food. Friendly and efficient staff. Will certainly go back. Excellent 4 cheese omelette and chips. Good coffee.

Have you ever headed out in search of something different just for the sake of finding something different? We initially felt a bit uneasy walking in as our 2 year old son came in with a head full of steam, but we left newly inspired and grateful for this little treasure we have just a mile or two from our house. While searching for something different we found something so familiar. Though not a fan of the bread and olive oil/balsamic vinegar bread dip, I ABSOLUTELY fell in love with the Stuffed Mushrooms appetizer. I could've made a meal of this alone. So comforting. Moving on to our entree I had the Chicken Sausage Giambota. Now I'm usually a spaghetti/lasagna kind of guy, but from now on this is my go to Italian dish. Overall the atmosphere was so relaxed and so... what we needed that evening. Even with our misbehaving toddler. I can see future date nights including an obligatory trip to Cafe Amore.

Unpretentious place with good food. Rolls are warm and served with olive oil and balsamic.

I pre-ordered a pizza at approximately 4:30 PM requesting that it be delivered at 7 PM. It arrived 30 minutes late and is cold. They're only located approximately 5 miles from my house. I will never order from them again. Update: after trying to warm the pizza, I bit down on something hard; looks like an olive pit. Update #2: someone from the restaurant, I assume the owner just called me and argued with me. She told me that she had the best Italian restaurant. Even a mediocre restaurant would not argue with a customer over something like this.

First time ordering from this restaurant and I believe I made a great choice. The lasagna was delicious and the garlic bread was outstanding. No complaints with the cheese sticks and everything was still hot when delivered.

Honestly this restaurant and so nice and chill I love the food classic and true I honestly think it is run by an Italian family there Is definitely a matriarch running the show speaking Italian I love it she is cool lol

The owner charged me £2 for a take away can of Coke Zero! Even the blonde girl at the counter had to ask him twice as she couldn’t believe he was charging so much. Maybe it was because I had my ‘sunflower’ disabled badge in and he watched me park in the disabled bay so he thought I wouldn’t understand? Complete rip off - avoid.

First time. Grandson wanted Italian. Not fuss. Dipping bread was perfect. Dipping olive oil was expertly seasoned. Had the pasta sampler. Excellent. I couldn't identify the subtle snap in the marinara, but it was reeaally good. The tiramisu was excellent. Really rich without being heavy. Now we know to bring wine. We'll be back.

A traditional but broad menu, everything I've tasted has been excellent. This restaurant is a neighborhood institution that has stood the test of time.

These idiots don't even know how to bake lasagna, nor can they get their heads around layering pasta with meat sauce and bechamel. And their baklava is not nice at all

I really love this place, the only night I was not happy was when a big party with 3 kids came in. This place is a nice quiet place to have a date night with a budget, so in my opinion if you are one of those parents who believe in letting your kids run around you can take them to a fast food restaurant but please do us a favor and let the rest of the people enjoy our evening

I walked in and got ignored by 3 staff. I wanted to chalk this up to them being busy, but one of the staff, some older guy in a grey polo looked at me with disgust. Like looked visibly disgusted. I think he was the manager or something. Spring valley road /never disappoints with abysmal and discriminatory service lol Food was mediocre as well. Pasta sauce was tomato water.

Order through UBER eats. So thrilled the food was piping hot, delicious and the rolls so fresh. Ordered the baked ziti with pink vodka sauce and pasta sampler. Everything was very good quality and tasty. Loved the desert cannoli and mouse cake. Be sure to try Cafe Amore out. Thank you

Great food, great service. Portions are large and even great the next day. Byob place, and many locals there every evening

Lunch. Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and marinara sauce. Chicken Marsala with penne pasta. Garlic rolls. Italian Salad was plentiful and good. Tomato basil soup paired well with the warm rolls. Both entres were good portions and the penne pasta was perfect. The marsala sauce had plentiful mushrooms but the taste of the wine was not as expected. Still tasty. The warm rolls were warm and good. The spaghetti noodles were a bit overcooked but only slightly so ok. The spaghetti sauce was mostly a me too. Nothing unique or special but standard fare and not a problem. Service was good and unobtrusive. Atmosphere was nothing special. Small and slightly intimate. Ok and clean. Bathroom was CLEAN!!!!!

Delicious food and friendly staff. I ordered the fried ravioli as an appetizer it was so good. As the main dish, I ordered the veal piccata and my husband the veal florentine, both dishes were amazingly delicious. The rolls are the largest I have ever seen. They are warm and soft, just delicious. We ordered the cream cake to go, for later. It was light, creamy and oh so yummy!!!

I guess if you do not look like everyone you will not get the same customer service as anyone else. Nobody was friendly to me and my guests. Very belittling and unprofessional.

adore this location Since I first started coming here for meals as a young child, I have never had an unpleasant experience. I was really satisfied with my first order of their lobster ravioli dish tonight! It was ideal after I added some crushed red pepper and Parmesan cheese.

This is an interesting restaurant; from the outside, it appears like any other strip mall pizza place, yet within is a spacious, well-furnished eating area. They offer a good menu at affordable costs.

The food was excellent, service also it was awesome , I love the fact that you can bring your own alcohol That's a Big Plus . Again the food was really good .I had the Salmon and shrimp Amore which is not listed on the review 🤔 it was awesome .

DO NOT EAT HERE! I ate here alone, single diner, one entree, $17 and they added a 20% service fee to the $17. Nowhere on the menu was a service fee listed. Nowhere in the restaurant at the entrance, on the walls, on the tables, was a 20% service fee posted on signs. Then they took the $17 + the 20%, added it together and calculated the Texas Sales Tax with that total. Then they went further and suggested a 15%-20% TIP based on the total of the 3 items: cost of the dinner + the 20% service fee + Sales Tax. TOTAL RIPOFF. I left $17 plus 8.25% Sales Tax in cash and walked out. The food wasn't that good either. 2 thin pieces of meats, a dollop of pasta like not even 3 oz. Water was never refilled. They get a lot of regular old customers who bring their own bottles of wine because the restaurant is BYOB and offers a wine uncorking service. Those tables get all the attention. Me being a solo diner, the waitress took my order and she was never to be seen again. Someone else brought my dinner and bread. After my dinner was delivered, no one did a check back within 5 minutes of it to see if my food was made to order, at correct temperature and if it was acceptable. Also no one came to check to see if I needed more bread or if I needed my water refilled. When I was finished eating, I sat there for a while waiting for someone to clear out my empty dishes and to ask if I want anything else: again, water refill, or dessert. NOBODY came by. I had to wave down a server and ask for the check. IT IS ILLEGAL TO ADD THINGS ON A RESTAURANT BILL IF IT'S NOT POSTED OR LISTED ON THE MENU. I CAN UNDERSTAND THE AUTOMATIC GRATUITY OF 15-18% FOR PARTIES OF 4-6 OR MORE BUT I WAS DINING ALONE.

Chicken in pasta was super dry. I specifically requested extra Parmesan cheese multiple times on my delivery order and they did not even give me any which was really frustrating. Lobster ravioli were extremely bad way over cooked (tasted like chef boyardee) and mushy and had the fake lobster you can get from the store in them.

They act as if they don't want the business. The lil white haired lady was rude.

Café Amore has been my #1 Italian restaurant for a while, and it continues to be. It’s fresh, rich, and the flavor is simply exceptional. My family and I come here anytime we are craving Italian food. I definitely recommend this delicious cuisine. 10/10!!

The bread is great and it was one of the best subs I ever had. It was toasted just right with a house salad dressing that is definitely equal to my favorite dressing of all time. It’s really quiet with nice artwork that goes really well with the scheme if you like small cozy little restaurant. Definitely the best place to eat in the area hands down. Can’t believe it took me so long to try it out.

Cafe Amore has been a family favorite for years. When my son comes home from college we alway go to Cafe Amore. For a recent take out order we did not get one of our entrees. I called the restaurant and 10 minutes later they delivered the food. Best service and food !

Wow! Our first taste of Café Amore’s pizza and we’re in love. They were able to make my idea of the perfect pizza: olive oil and garlic foundation, eggplant, artichoke, and mozzarella toppings. The mozzarella was wonderfully stringy. My husband had his usual red sauce with his pepperoni, mushrooms, and onion toppings. He, too, enjoyed it. Oh, I forgot to mention the crust. It’s soft just the way I like it. Update: Mama Mia…that’s some good pizza! We keep going back for our pizzas. Right now we enjoying the Supreme pizza with everything on it, but my eggplant and artichokes. Another update: if management reads this review you need to talk to your pizza maker. If a customer is waiting for their pizza as soon as you finish putting it in the box, announce to your waiting customers that it’s done. My husband is getting really annoyed when the pizza gets put on the pizza oven without a shoutout of his name. In fact last week he bought pizza elsewhere. Update: The owners have gotten their act together and they now announce when a pizza/other dishes are ready. Yayyyyy!

As usual chef Abi excelled expectations! Stayed open late and the food was astounding. I took friends who now wish they lived near to Kettering A totally fabulous establishment

Disappointing lunch take-out experience today. Ordered chicken fettuccine Alfredo over the phone but was given regular fettuccine Alfredo when picked up. Didn't notice until I was already home with the food and I checked the receipt so that was partially on me. Could have been avoided if the person on the phone repeated the order to me to double check, or if the order was repeated to me while at the restaurant .Food was still good but just left me a bit disappointed.

Local family favorite Italian restaurant that has been in business for a long time. Food is very good and reasonably priced and BYOB friendly too! My go to Italian restaurant!

You won’t find a bad dish here. The pink vodka sauce they use for their pasta and stuff mushroom dish is second to none. Fresh bread paired with friendly customer service!

One of the best Italian restaurants, I have been to. We went here just for desserts.. We will return for a dinner outing as well. The owners were super friendly

Ordered the garlic bread, small caesar salad and margherita pizza from this place. The garlic bread and salad were decent but interestingly, their margherita pizza does not come with the marinara sauce which I’m not a fan of.

Terrible restaurant they try to charge you for meals that u didn't even eat. Then the manager tryna to make excuses first and last time I come here

We had passed the cafe one day and the owner had given us a leaflet - the options looked very good so we went back to try them out. I had mezze for 1 and my husband had mixed grill for 1 - both excellent! The chicken in particular was very good - nice and tender. The chef/owner was very friendly and welcoming - we will definitely return to try out more of the menu.

Love this place! I’ve been eating here since I was a little kid and have never had a bad experience. Tonight was my first time ordering their lobster ravioli dish (to go) and I was pleasantly impressed! I added a bit of Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper, and it was perfect

Cozy little place, with great food. We had a birthday dinner and the option of BYOB makes a great difference. I had a veal with prosciutto and cream sauce and pasta on the side. Excellent! Definitely a place to going back.

Went for Friday lunch today. The store is quite clean, and service is some of the best I have had. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced. Portions are quite adequate. The menu is typical Italian with a few unusual extras. The rolls are quite good also. Good food and decent value.

I went to lunch to this cafe which a friend described as a Turkish cafe . I am vegetarian and had felafel in mind as it’s a Turkish cafe . There was no felafel on the menu or babaganoush which are typical Turkish dishes . Was quite pricy for a starter dish I ordered . Very disappointed!

Update Jan. 2023: Thru the years so comfortable to come in and be greeted like family. Has kept the quality and high standards through out Covid. Carryout from all the repeat customers and new ones kept things going. Now fully operational inside with some gluten free options. Original review: Marvelous maranara sauce, excellent egg plant dishes. Thursdays are great, not crowded and no waiting line. Still individual prepared dishes, great scampi. BYOB is no charge for opening and glasses. All you can ask without the outrageous prices of other Italian type restaurants. This is italian family ownership and prepartion. Enjoy!!

Been to the place today with a friend to grap a piece of cake. The owner makes you feel very welcome. The cake I was served was not fresh and I didn't eat it. When I confronted him about the freshness of the cake he showed his true face and argued with me. I told him that I don't want to argue about facts ( I showed him the cake base and the dry top) . He then charged me 5.20 for a tiny, inedible cake.

This place is absolutely PERFECT!!!! Everything was so tasty me and my boyfriend had to pull over and eat. This is the best Italian food restaurant in Dallas hands down! My boyfriend and I ordered veggie lasagna, fried ravioli, tortellini alfredo and garlic bread! We were moaning the whole time eating lol the garlic bread is the best garlic bread i've ever tasted in my life. Thank you Cafe Amore for existing lol special thanks to the COOKS! I love you guys.

Had veal marsala, very little sauce, pizza good but a bit doughy.

Had a very bad experience when I went , I hate to write this review because the owner has been so nice but the Indian child on the register scream at me due to frustration because the restaurant was full, and then a fat Hispanic lady (a server) began to disrespect me also bitter.

Fabulus birthday dinner with three friends! The salmon piccata was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious. The portions are very generous and I love that you can bring your own wine. We'll be back soon!

Went to pick up some food and the old lady At the counter was extremely rude. I ask her a question and she didn’t respond. I walked in and didn’t even make eye contact with me or even said hi.

We came accords this restaurant when passing through Kettering on a journey to Norfolk. The owner was immediately engaging. As a vegan I asked about options and was shown the most amazing Meze choice, all freshly cooked that day - the food was out of this world! The portion was huge, the selection very varied, the bread and hummus - wow!

Had chicken parm & spaghetti meatballs. Chicken tasted like a cooked frozen patty. Meatballs were mushy & flavorless. Spaghetti in both dishes was dry and was charged extra $1 each when asked for extra sauce. We were only ones in restaurant and food was served lukewarm. First and last time there.

Just scroll done and see the negative reviews. They are true. RUDE, and CONDESCENDING, That was my experience as well. They have replied to people post and said they are going to do better, but I know people who have said, they are still RUDE and CONDESCENDING. The older short stocky women maybe in her late 60's is the worst and the older man. I don't know, they may be the owners. ADVICE: Retire and let the young folks take over who may have more energy and can drum up a good attitude. Treat everyone who comes in your door with the same respect, white, black, hispanic etc... those who appear to have money or not, because it is very very obvious that you don't treat all the same! Keep in mind that people come there for the experience and the food. From the time they walk into the door and you look at them all the way through their dining experience. No need to reply to this post. Just be consistent with a pleasant attiude, value peoples time and get your act together in the kitchen.

Have been twice now - once for dinner and once for lunch. Great food (the freshly baked sourdough rolls alone are worth the trip), elegant but comfortable atmosphere, friendly service and very reasonable prices for the high quality of food!

Had lunch here today and the staff were all friendly and very welcoming. Good didn’t take long and it was delicious. All food was fresh and the carrot cake is amazing. Will be back.

Have been going there for years. Or family has had many celebration dinners there. Our friends have been meeting there on Wednesday evenings every week for years. Wonderful food, good service and pleasant environment.

OMG! This place is sooo good! The staff is friendly, service was fast, and the portions were large. Real authentic Italian food. Quality control is done by Nonna and Momma, so you KNOW it's amazing. They fed us until we popped! Had to waddle our of there. On my list of "Must Go" places to eat in Dallas area.

I walked in and was completely ignored by the staff. I stood around for about 5 minutes before I left. Will not be coming back.
