Great food, and great to have the chefs recommendations. The pasta was a brilliant quality and the perfect amount of food and dessert was absolutely stunning.

I’ve heard a lot of people rate this place over the years but have never visited! We went this evening as a business night out recommended by our boss who is a regular, and I’m so glad I’ve finally experienced here as it was superb! Crab croquette to start was amazing, shared with a colleague alongside the burrata dish which was refreshing. A few of us had the fettuccini di mare on a recommendation, and it was absolutely delicious! Good portion, lots of seafood! I’m really glad I went for this dish as it was superb. With a good couple of bottles of wine, it was a fantastic meal! Will definitely be back!

Had a really good meal, very tasty food and good service all through the evening, although I think we were in a bit of a blind spot for where the staff scanned the room looking to see if anyone needed help. All 3 courses were excellent, and I would definitely return.

The food here is great, my steak was superb and none of us had any complaints. Disabled access was fair, plenty of drop curbs , a ramped pavement up to the door and very little lip on the doorway, however there were no disabled toilets! And for those with little mobility like myself the toilets were cramped and difficult to access. The food did make up for this lack though!

Was recommended to us by a couple of friends and we finally got round to booking in for me and my daughter's birthday, I can honestly say every drink,starter,main and desert was perfect!!! I had a steak,always have mustard but they didn't have it but my steak did not need it!! It was the best steak I've had!! Can't recommend enough and will definitely be back! 10/10

Had a beutiful lunch yesterday. Difficult to take our 91 year old mum out. But we all really enjoyed ourselves. We had three different dishes, and they were all perfection. Fresh and flavoursome. The atmosphere was just like stepping into heaven. The staff, first rate and so welcoming. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Tried four times in the past to book a table on our visits to family and friends when we visited from abroad. We had heard it was excellent. Yes we booked mega early this time and enjoyed a wonderful meal with excellent service from the staff and owners. Thank you.

This is an outstanding restaurant. I will be going again, the menu was varied and contemporary Italian cuisine. The drinks were very good especially the cocktails, however the service perhaps even outshines the food but only marginally. This is a restaurant that was recommended to me and it’s been stunning.

Midweek lunch, place was absolutely rammed. We didn't book but luckily had a table. Strange having a Carbonara with mushrooms and no guanciale. Probably the best service I've received in 10 years. Superb. Will be back.

Without doubt one of the best Italian restaurants we have been to in years, we were part of a large group booking for 50th birthday party, it was a Thursday evening and the place was full, which is always a good sign, the food and service was outstanding, I had the lasagna for main course, it’s possibly the best lasagna I have ever eaten, strongly recommend that you try this restaurant. Thank you for a great night.

Our first time with friends who have often ate here. Everything merits 5 star approval. Very good Italian food perfectly prepared and presented by we'll-trained staff who enhanced the experience. Can't wait to return the next time we come south. It's no wonder you need to book well ahead.

This is one of the spots where we catch up with my sister - roughly half way between where we live. It's a great find - spotted it recommended by an ex work colleague on Facebook. A warm welcome on arrival, quickly seated and drinks sorted. Today we went straight to main courses; a fettucine ragu, lasagne and two of us had the seabream which was beautifully cooked and a lovely flavours in the accompanying sauce. Desserts were lovely, tiramisu for two, affogato and white chocolate and raspberry creme brulee, the tartness of the raspberries offset the sweetness of the white chocolate beautifully. Nice decor, comfortable seats and you never feel rushed. Great team in the restaurant.

My first visit here and it was a joy. Service was polite, friendly and thoroughly professional. In a party of 7, we had a wide selection off the menu and everything was excellent. Accompanying wines were very good and well priced. The interior is smart, comfortable and unfussy. This restaurant deserves all the continued success it can get. Try it!!

I found this restaurant from recommendation on Trip Advisor and was very pleased I did. I booked a table for 7pm and the restaurant was already very full, but the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and nothing seemed too much bother

We booked a table for 4 for a birthday treat. We booked for midday and arrived when the restaurant was almost empty, although by 1pm it was busy (mostly with an older crowd). The restaurant feels luxurious, the service is friendly, polite and professional and the attention to detail exceptional. We all had different meals and desserts and everything was exceptional, as was the wine. The whole meal was around £100, which given the quality of the food and drink was exceptionally good value. Can't wait to go back.

 We’re were warmly greeted with a lovely welcoming smile from Maria, owner and restaurant manager. It was 6.15 on the Friday and the restaurant was full. We were given a table by the kitchen door and next to the food service station. Not my choice but the only table left. However, it provided me with an opportunity to observe the qualities of the food service team. A very smart looking brigade, well dressed in the nicely colour coordinated uniform, with their long hair tied back neatly. They smile very easily and worked well as a team supporting one another to ensure they met the target of turning tables round quietly without fuss. Maria provides them with an excellent smiling role model of all aspects of food service. The menu has a wide range of dishes to suit everyone’s taste, broken down into traditional Italian style headings. The prices are reasonable and did reflect the quality of the dishes offered. The portions were of a good size, served at correct temperatures and well presented ….and above all very delightful to eat. The reviews are right! Palmichael is a first class restaurant! We look forward to returning soon. Thank you.

Been here twice now and what a place! The food is absolutely gorgeous. Can recommend the lasagna or the chicken in white wine off the lunch menu. The second visit was in the evening and can recommend the crab gnocchi or the mozzarella in carrozza for starters, and you must try the lobster ravioli!! Can't wait to go back!

Booked here for Mother’s Day I wanted to leave a review because I’m usually to lazy but the food,service and atmosphere was amazing so I had 2 ha ha ha the starters were lovely and my main the lamb was the best lamb I think I’ve ever had everyone loved all 3 courses and the tiramisu was out of this world. My partner also said the cocktails were great thank you palmichael for a lovely day see u again soon

We visited this restaurant on Christmas Eve and it was fantastic! Not the cheapest of restaurants but the quality of the food absolutely made it worth it and I would recommend to anyone looking for a treat or somewhere to have a celebratory meal. I have a dairy allergy, which sometimes makes eating at Italian restaurants difficult but this restaurant has several vegan options. I opted for the bruschetta, vegetable risotto and the brownie. All of which were delicious!

We visited for a prebooked meal for a party of 9, the service was good but we did have to prompt to order side dishes but the staff were very good and efficient. The food was excellent, I have had many steaks but the fillet I had was melt in the mouth. Portions were very good and everyone enjoyed their meals. Not the cheapest meal but worth every penny for a special occasion. The place was very busy and rightly so, we will go again.

Lovely quality food well presented

This is a great spot for a lovely Italian meal, great service, pleasant decor and furnishings. Warm welcome on arrival and quickly seated with menus and drinks sorted. We went straight to mains, the lasagne, fettuccine ragu and two of us had the special, cod with mussels in a chardonnay sauce - lovely flavour to the sauce and beautifully cooked fish. Two of us went for tiramisu, the cherryaholic had the creme brulee with morello cherries and ice-cream for my sister. A lovely meal and great service throughout - thank you :)

The vegan/vegetarian menu offers a good choice of vegan friendly meals that are absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the restaurant is immaculate. We had a bit of a wobbly table, but our waitress was absolutely lovely and answered any questions we had with a here to help attitude. The prosecco is vegan friendly, too, which is a bonus. A lovely meal out at a gorgeous restaurant. We'll definitely be going back.

This is my first ever negative review on Tripadvisor. I will add, I can’t fault the food or the drinks. However , we sat next to a couple that out of the blue used profanities and told us we were speaking too loudly. The man actually squared up to my boyfriend who was sat down at the table, after we said we were talking at a normal volume. We are most disappointed with how this was dealt with by the manager(the owner). The manager had no authority and we later found out the man was a regular at the restaurant. It was our first time at the restaurant and we won’t be returning for this reason which is a shame, given the food is lovely. I would expect a bit more authority when customers had been so rude to us and ruined our experience - which was also my birthday. If it was my restaurant, I wouldn’t have been comfortable knowing 2 people left my restaurant feeling very uncomfortable and upset. The manager didn’t seem phased by the fact a customer had verbally abused us.

This is my second visit to The Palmichael, this time being a New Year’s Eve lunch out with family. This place never fails to disappoint me. The staff are friendly, the surroundings are enjoyable, as well as extremely tasty food, full of flavour! If you like your Italian food, you need to give The Palmichael a try. We’d recommend the pasta dishes!

This was recommended by a work colleague and so glad we visited. They managed to accommodate us even though they were super busy just before Christmas Light airy restaurant, plenty of space between the tables. Loads of staff , all quite young but super helpful and efficient. The menu is comprehensive, plenty of choice and very reasonably priced with a great wine list to match. It was probably one of the best Italian meals we’ve had. The food was delicious. All freshly cooked , and beautifully presented. Service was efficient and friendly. From the welcome we received when we arrived until we left. If you’re in the Kettering area don’t miss this great Italian restaurant.

Went for lunch in this small nicely decorated independent restaurant. Has been going years but seems to have moved with the times. Nice service from the outset. All cutlery served by servers in white gloves. Nice touch. Proper cotton napkins and marble tables. Food was excellent. The seafood platter for two really tasty. Variety of main courses but would recommend the fettuccine con gamberoni. Desserts excellent too even if you want one scoop of ice cream. Usually served in a dish on its own. Here it has a wafer tube and cumquat on the side. Makes it look so much more. Definitely will go back. Enjoy

For dessert, the crème brûlée and lemon tart, paired with lemoncello, were the perfect end to our culinary journey. It's rare to find such a gem offering such exquisite food and friendly service right here in Burton Latimer. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a taste of Italy in the heart of the town.

Having been recommended this restaurant our only disappointment was we had never been before. The food was fantastic both in taste and presentation but what stood out most was the staff. It was great to see a young team that has been trained in traditional values . Well done to the whole team and will definitely be back soon .

My wife and I artived with out booking but they have a table aviable for us The man in charge show us tho the table explained the spetials and was very friendly and helpfull. They toom our order and we din't wate log before the food was at the table. Must say the tiramisu is the "best" I have ever tested. Will recomend to our friends by the way it was our first time here never disapointed 5 out of 5 🙂

Four of us had lunch on Saturday 23rd Sept 23. This was our third visit this year. The food is absolutely fantastic and great value compared with local establishments. All of us loved our meals. The staff are very friendly and attentive (but not overly so). The décor is classy with plenty of space between tables. We will all be going again and I highly recommend you try it. Well done to all of the team and a big thanks from us.

Excellent quality food with good service. Only downside was the draught caused by the air conditioner and the background noise, but then again it was a Friday evening so understandable. Update on 16.09.23. Following a refurbishment, the background noise has been significantly improved to the point where it's now possible to have a decent conversation without having to shout! Well done Palmichael! Food and service are unchanged - both excellent! We had (another) lovely meal.

We were seated outside as we had hoped. Service was great We had Skcollops with blackpudding for starters delicious I had Lobster ravioli and my partner had Seafood platter with garlic bread also delicious Very friendly atmosphere staff are very welcome and pleasant Definitely recommend

This is a really good restaurant which has maintained its standards for years and offers reliable gluten free options for coeliac sufferers. Service etc is immaculate, though the place, recently refurbished does lack a little character/atmosphere. Pricey too.

Held a post wedding dinner here! Impeccable food. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the starters and mains! Maria was amazing and went above and beyond to make the special day so memorable for us! She kindly arranged every detail from start to finish. Welcome drinks were kindly made to our wishes. Amazing atmosphere, food, service and drinks!
