Franks in Kettering

It's been a few years since I have been here due to being overseas. Came in to get a takeaway pizza and decided on the meat feast but as a calzone it was really tasty. Will be returning

Not been for 30 years but it’s still pretty much the same! Great pizza , brilliant staff - had a good night. Slightly disappointed that the cutlery all matched and the wine glasses were both the same.

Amazing, proper pizzas. We had takeaway, but collected from the restaurant which didn't have an empty seat anywhere. It was very lively with a great atmosphere. Only downside was that they are cash only unless you order on a food app.

Simply the best! Better than all the rest! Tasty, piping hot, good value, mouthwatering… every single time!

Had a takeaway delivered Tonight. After hearing good reviews I really wasn’t impressed when I opened the box. The crusts were burnt black and inedible, not much flavour at all on the rest of the pizza, probably because of the lack of ingredients. I had anchovies on mine and could barely taste them. Very expensive for what you get and won’t be ordering again.

No cards just cash, we were left waiting over 15 minutes to be given a Menu.

Pizza OK, but a bit overcooked. Stark restaurant with little to no atmosphere, and minimal decor. Bottles of lager were served with no glasses. Only after we ordered did we notice a small poster near the serving area advising it was cash only. Why don't they advise you of that when you phone up and book a table, as we didn't have enough cash on us. The waiter had to let us off a couple of pounds, and we couldn't have a dessert. So easily avoidable, as we could have gone to a cashpoint on our way there.

Pictures wrote a cheque the food couldn’t cash. The quality and quantity of the toppings were really poor. On the two that should have had anchovy, most of the fish must have swum off. The peas (yes, peas on a pizza) on the vegetarian were bullet hard. The ham on the “English” was the processed cubed awfulness that you find on major chain nonsense, not the ham you find on proper Italian pizzas. Oh, and small. Really sadly small. The lad said his was ok but pepperoni covers up a multitude of taste failings.

Worked in this venue as a buchers boy 1961 when it was Pettit Butchers. Returned 60 years later and enjoyed a wonderful evening with friends. No frills just good hand cooked food the Italian way,👍

I would recommend the wine. Pizza and service were bella. And I’ve been to Venice.

I haven't received my order even though it says enjoy your food. Cannot get through to the restsurant either to find out what's going on?!

Absolutely brilliant night at Frank’s. Although short staffed, they done a wonderful job for our Xmas Family gathering. With 20 guests, the service and food was excellent. Georgina even took time to play with the children. Well done all at Frank’s, and thank you very much.

Frank’s came up trumps for the annual LCDO championships. Having pre ordered for 15 hungry darts players, Franks delivered hot and fresh tasty pizzas for us to consume and enjoy. There was a mixture of different pizzas (I had the meat feast), along with the meatballs and garlic bread all of which was superb. Can’t recommend enough. Authentic Italian pizzas.

Good food and house wine, shabby chic decor, only spoiled by smoker's smoke drifting in to the garden room. Generous portions of food.

First visit with friends from work, food was excellent we had three pasta meals which were excellent quality , shared a large pizza as well service was also excellent, with a litre of house red wine could not fault anything

2nd time order from here 1st time collected it and the pizzas were the same 2nd time delivery and again pizzas came the same but I ordered 2 different pizzas. Also knowing the restaraunt does not open until 6.30 was informed food would come between 17.55 and 18.15 infant it came 1742 we were not ready. Very disappointed

Penne Arrabbiata was missing, everything else was great. Tried to call but I couldn’t get through! Not sure if it was mobile phone network and I know Frank’s would have sorted it I could have contacted them.

A complete hidden gem and a delight to discover. Amazing pizza (one vegan one not, both great) and wonderful people who made us and our kids feel so welcome. Thank you

Great little hidden gem. Cash only . Proper old skool but great , very busy but squeeze us in . Would recommend. Pizzas were great and home made bases done in a clay oven .

Catered perfectly for a large group of us. (Pre-booked) Staff were so accommodating and the food was amazing. Pizza cooked to perfection and the pasta sauces were incredible. Even offered a gluten free option. Thanks everyone!

I loved my first visit here. It's such a cute, family style place, I felt instantly at home. The pizza was super tasty and great value for money! Highly recommended.

Went with 5 friends warm welcome by friendly staff a wonderful atmosphere, food was freshly made and tasted delicious all our meals arrived together and hot . Will definitely be back

Myself and my wife came in tonight (Valentines Day 2023). We were greeted by Lauren who was our waitress for the evening. Very friendly, bubbly and attentive. We ordered the Antipasto to start with followed by the Allo Tartara pizza and lasagne. Absolutely delicious food, A* service and the atmosphere was lovely for evening dining. A somewhat rapid decline in quality from last night's order. Quick delivery but the pizza were horrible. Over cooked next to no toppings very disappointed. Please charge more and keep quality I can get pizzas from anywhere but this place used to be pizza perfection.

Amazing food at amazing prices! The ONLY place to go in town for the best and most authentic Italian pizza experience. Accept no imitation, FRANKS is still the best (been using them since the 90s). Treat yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Great traditional Italian restaurant.

My fav local restaurant always relaxed and informal with the best atmosphere. The food is always great and such good value. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Attended with a big group for a party, very accommodating for us all, pizza and other foods looked good and tasted even better.

We visited here last Friday as a party of 4, having visited many times before, but having heard mixed reviews recently. All four of us chose something different from the menu, lasagna, pizza, Prawns in garlic sauce, spaghetti bolognese, with sides of garlic bread and mixed salad. Frankly, no pun intended, even though I have never had anything other than good food there, what we were served this night was even better. We will have no hesitation in returning.

First time we have ordered pizzas from here, but we were really happy with them. These are proper wood fired pizzas, very tasty and authentic. So nice to be able to get such quality locally. I can thoroughly recommend them!

Visited on a Thursday night with my sons. Hadn’t been for a long time and the pizzas are still amazing proper homemade! A lovely evening with great service

Went last night. First time in about 10years. So happy to see things haven’t changed too much. Still serving great pizzas at a good price. Love the place and will use more often 👍

We had a lovely meal last night, the meat feast pizza and spaghetti bol they both were delicious. To finish we had brownie and ice cream very nice too. The only girl serving was very friendly and accommodating.

Loved the pizza and garlic breads. Bologna’s was very good. Only reason I didn’t give it 5, is because I know my wine, and although the wine supplied was lovely and to my taste, the bottle displayed the supermarket it was purchased from. If it was served in an iced jug, or a jug in a bowl of ice, then I wouldn’t know the mark up etc at cost. Otherwise.. food etc. Excellent.

Food was average - they then sat the local serial killer at our table who stared menacingly and coughed over us. Left asap never to return…

Been a while since I have actually found somewhere worth reviewing or mentioning in general. Well tonight I found a place what is without a doubt worth a mention The food is incredible the atmosphere is very relaxed and over all it is a fantastic place to eat, safe to say I will be back

Ordered for a set time to be eaten whilst on break at work. Didn't really get a chance to eat it as the delivery arrived so late. No answer when called the restaurant

A group of us came on a Friday evening and I had the pizza marguerita which was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, it’s authentic tasting! I recommend! The other dishes looked good and everyone loved theirs. It’s a simple place, the decor is not plush but then the prices are not high so that is balanced.

Perfectly cooked pizzas, delicious toppings, right on time with delivery, haven’t had a Franks in seemingly forever and everytime I have one i question why I’ve left it so long.
