Came here with my daughter for lunch .had chickpea salad. Very very tasty . Small quaint place . Seating limited but there is seating upstairs to. Delish cakes to die for .and coffee is superb. Try the chai tea late.

Buena comida, un café, un personal agradable. Si puedes conseguir aparcamiento - es una gran joya en la Avenida tonadillas. Paninis, ensaladas, almuerzos ligeros, etc.

Yo y mi madre pasó por una ensalada. Sin embargo, creo que, de hecho, sé! Mi hermana de 4 años podría hacer una ensalada mejor! Era un dineral!! ! No vestirse o salsa de ensalada paquete simplemente! El chocolate caliente era agradable, aunque, sin embargo, no es difícil hacer un buen chocolate caliente, luego de nuevo ni tampoco una ensalada! Ah, y es más razonable teniendo en cuenta que ni siquiera puedo hacer una ensalada fresca 😂 no volveremos aquí de nuevo.

Después de visitar Amici en el pasado y que se impresionó, volvimos esperando más de lo mismo - lo que nos defraudó! La comida es de mala calidad y es increíblemente caro - que una de esas comidas eran sentir molesto por cómo ha perdido su dinero! Sólo podemos asumir que el lugar está bajo nueva dirección como el contraste con nuestra primera visita fue enorme. Por desgracia no volveremos.

No he estado aquí para el almuerzo después de ver un montón de medios sociales sobre el maravilloso nuevo menú y chef. Por desgracia, no hay pruebas de que estos existen. Una bebida caliente y muy normal tostados para dos llegaron a 18. 95! No aire mi vistas a la camarera mientras ella no es responsable de lo horrible que es! Muy muy insatisfecho y no volver. lo haya ido chicos equivocada, me encantaría saber

Just popped in for a quick coffee and ended up having a few. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed, your not being rushed to finish your drinks. The food other people were eating looked and smelled very nice.

Después de comer aquí a principios de año y estar decepcionados, me complace reportar que un nuevo chef es en la residencia y que la calidad de la comida ha mejorado immeasuarably.Probamos una hamburguesa y patatas fritas () y un jamón y champiñones tortilla (patatas fritas) y ambos eran muy buenos. Los platos eran fresca, sabrosa, bien presentada y muy agradable. Las patatas fritas eran excelentes, la ensalada atractiva y los principales componentes bien preparada y bien servida. El personal de la camarera era amable y atento. El menú es un poco limitado (sándwiches, hamburguesas, tortillas y una pequeña selección de los niños) pero las ofertas especiales con por lo menos 6 platos que (en esta visita) incluido pasta, risotto, ensalada y un plato de cerdo. También hay una buena selección de pasteles y un montón de bebidas para elegir.Excelentes precios por la calidad - marido muy contento con sus 8 libras por una hamburguesa y una oferta de cerveza. Agradable, cálido y acogedor. Por la tarde partido bastante concurrida (día), pero nos las arreglamos para meter. Tan satisfecho este lugar ha arrastrado todo el después de una nosedive. Sin duda merece la pena una visita (re).

He estado a Amici's después de una larga ausencia. Tienen un nuevo chef (espero que le estancia). Tienen una junta de lo elegimos especiales el pescado y patatas fritas. No nos decepcionó. Nuestra comida llegó con 3 piezas de pescado hecho en un breadcrumb crujiente, junto con guisantes, patatas fritas blandas acuñaron caseras y una excelente salsa tártara. Todo estaba muy sabroso y fresco y recomiendo encarecidamente. Mi marido iba a tener la ensalada de pollo, pero como era tan frío afuera decidió en el mismo como yo. Me alegro de que no porque no hubiera sido un poco de envidia la comida! !Las chicas que trabaja allí es muy amable y no dudaría en volver.

Didn't know why the first review didn't go through. As others have always said, the quality has gone down badly and the place itself is dirty. Will never go back again

Como han mencionado en otras críticas, este café tiene absolutamente cambiado para lo peor. Utilizamos para visitar este café regularmente, ahora que no volveremos. La calidad de la comida ahora es incomparable a lo que solía ser, muy, muy baratos de calidad, pero los mismos precios? Es muy notable que el personal de la cocina han cambiado, supongo que el negocio ha cambiado de manos, que es una lástima. Ahorra dinero y evita para evitar cualquier decepción.

We visit Amici for breakfast as often as we can, the service is quick and the staff are friendly, and can recommend the full English.

What has happened to this place?

It was very quiet on my Saturday afternoon visit but it was really pleasant inside, a little on the small side but this could pass off as been exclusive. My only vice is the coffee wasn’t the hottest. On the counter there were the hugest domes of bread that really did look impressive, homemade and rustic. Being a huge lover of bread I was massively enticed to take one home to devour later, I resisted. The menu is classic, appetizers, bruschetta and pastas there was something modern but authentic about the dishes as well as an impressive specials board. I originally wanted a small snack but was drawn in by the bruschetta- chicken, salami and chili with a tomato sauce served with a side salad. To my delight the bruschetta was the bread on the counter, lightly toasted and thick cut. The full dish was stunning appearance and taste. I can’t wait to go back for pasta or a salad knowing it will be the freshest quality ingredients. Amici also has a license; a glass of wine would be a prefect accompaniment.

As another reviewer has put...Oh Dear!! This place used to be fantastic, looks look they've changed owners, previously run by an Italian chef, now an English Breakfast bloke has taking over. The menu is the same, the cooking skills are not.

Having previously sung the praises of Amici I feel compelled to comment on the recent notable decline in food quality and atmosphere. I've visited three times since it started to falter and each visit has been equally disappointing.

Popped in for a coffee whilst waiting for photo developing (how very old fashioned!)..... Girl was lovely but the coffee is terrible. I ordered a flat white - even though it's not on the menu - but was very disappointed.

We've never had a bad meal here. The breakfast sandwiches, made with their home made breads are very tasty, and my husband loves their full English breakfast. The sandwiches are massive, with chips, as are the omelettes. There's always specials on the blackboard, and I usually take one of their home made cakes to eat later. The staff are lovely and friendly.

There food and service are really good and the prices are reasonable. This is the second time I've visited this cafe and I was not disappointed with the value or quality of food.

I have visited this cafe before, but only to have coffee and cake, which I have to say each time was very nice indeed. This time I had lunch which was very good. A decent sized sandwich on artisan bread with lots of filling, chips and salad. I also had a good coffee. It was served quickly too. Will be visiting again.

Lovely breakfast. Had salmon and scrambled egg toast and a coffee. Good service. Warm comfortable atmosphere. Good selection on the menu. We shall definitely return. Plenty of homemade cakes and bread.

Average quality, some decent cakes. Not value for money but the staff are friendly enough for me to overlook that. The front of the house isn't very nice but the little area at the back is bright and pleasant. Unfortunately, it's cold, and you can see the comings and goings of the kitchen and pass which does not add to a nice ambiance. And neither does the toilet next to the tables - be aware, everyone can hear everything you do in there!

this place is a café by day and a restaurant by night. we had eaten here during the day and the sandwiches etc were nice and plentyfull. we decided to try the night time menu, we sat through the back was was nice and secluded away from the road, there was only us 2 and a table of 4. the menu was quite small, with only a few chicken dishes, a couple of fish dishes and about 8 pasta dishes (no pizza). we went for the mediterranean sharing platter for 2 which was lovely, different meats/salamis, olives, mozzarella, artichokes...and garlic bread - plenty . for main my partner had the salmon (2 fillets) and I had the chicken in spicy Napoli sauce (off the specials board) both were served with roasted veg and roasted new potatos - again good portions.

Having previously raved over this lovely cafe I can only say how deeply disappointed we were today. To be fair it was fairly busy, but having to wait 40 minutes for three cups of coffee (the cappuccino was not the usual standard) and one hour for a cooked breakfast and a pizza was not acceptable. When our food eventually arrived the fried eggs were inedible as they had been so overcooked and obviously left to stand until they turned into rubber and a poor specimen of salad consisted of wilted, brown edged lettuce. We are the sort of people that do not normally complain but in this instance we did and got a reduced bill, however I think we will go elsewhere next time. We missed the friendly ambiance and banter of Nico. Sadly standards have slipped.

Ate here for breakfast. Everything was good, pleasant surroundings and good food. Reasonable prices too. Only suggestion is don't overlook the fried eggs.

Popped for tea with my teenage daughter on a Thursday evening, nice laid back atmosphere, good choice on the menu, mostly Italian inspired. Daughter asked for a sandwich & even though it was evening they still happily said she could have one, I had the linguini marinara with a side of marinated olives which came with homemade garlic bread. All was excellent, hot & tasty, the portions where huge & we left what seemed like a lot, but honestly we ate till we were bursting. Live close by so will definitely becoming a regular ...

I have eaten in this cafe and also had take always. All occasions have been excellent the quality of food is outstanding both eating in and taking away. The service and staff are brilliant the owners should be very proud of their team. If I pull up for a take away they come out and serve me cause I am a wheelchair user, that to me is outstanding and appreciated.

I've been frequenting this eatery in its various incarnations for quite a few years but the current identity is by far my favourite yet. The primarily Mediterranean (and very authentic) cuisine is fantastic - the regular menu (breakfasts, hot & cold sandwiches, pastas, pizza, omlettes, salad bowls, meat/cheese platters) is supplemented with an array of tempting specials which often include fresh fish and seafood. Every single dish I've tried has been nothing short of delicious - the salad bowls are my particular favourite, generous portions, super fresh and the garlic bread is wonderful. The coffee is also excellent and the enticing selection of cakes taste as good as they look (the chocolate orange one is divine!). Prices are entirely reasonable whether you're having a quick coffee or a proper meal.
