Awful! cheap bread, barely browned, couldn’t really be classed as toast, loads of sliced potatoes, asked for none? one egg 😳, cheap bacon, nearly cooked, ok sausage, great coffee!! Wyvern breakfast is miles better and cheaper, if only the coffee was as good. Will not use again.

Really great cafe. Always fairly busy. Something for everyone on the menu and really good prices. We had full English breakfast, with a side of bubble and squeak, healthy breakfast of poached eggs on toast with avocado and smoked salmon, and a tuna salad baguette. All served promptly and tasted great.

We had heard good things about Cafe 8ight so decided to give it a try for Sunday brunch. We were not disappointed even if a little on the costlier side. The cafe had a good atmosphere and was about 40% occupied. We were greeted by a teenage boy who appeared to be on the first day of the job - so he didn't really know what to do. That said, we found a table and sat down to look at the menu. The menu was extensive and you could order a wide range of breakfast and dinner dishes My wife and I fancied something light as it was sunny, and both ended up ordering the Gym Junkie dish and a coffee. Although I ordered a side of toast and my wife some black pudding. The coffee was really tasty. The food came quickly (maybe a little too quick), and we did wonder if some of the items were pre-cooked. That said, the food was tasty. For sure, we will return again in future.

Nice atmosphere, friendly service. I sat in the comfy sofa near the door. I could see there were groups of mainly older people who were meeting up there. Seems popular 😀

This site has had several owners over the years but the present owners seem to have got it right making it an asset to the area. Quite an investment has been made in refitting the cafe to produce a welcoming modern environment. The uncomplicated menu produces good meals in a reasonable time that suggests individual preparation . The staff are friendly and efficient. This is a daytime cafe open 8-3 seven days a week.

we go there once a week find the staff & food to a good standard every thing is done to order nothing is any problem try a visit u will be happy
