Came across Cafe 34 whilst walking through town, stopped and had a small full english, when it came it was small, but you know what maybe it is the right size portion as it filled me up. Food was nice, great staff, not sure about dogs really being in a cafe, for me I’d prefer not to have them but it wouldn’t stop me coming back.

Visiting Shrewsbury and stumbled across this wonderful place. The sign on the door welcoming dogs was such a lovely touch! The staff were absolutely amazing, so attentive and friendly. I’m vegan and was impressed with the options available. I went for the Special which was Fasolia - a Cypriot butter bean stew, served with a wedge of locally baked crusty granary bread. Delicious! My partner had a chorizo, roasted red pepper and brie panini which came with cute little matchstick crisps and a tasty curried coleslaw. To top it off, their scones are vegan and so is their hot chocolate (if using plant based milk). They were really busy - one in one out but the staff were on it and clearing and wiping tables quickly, always smiling. Such a lovely place. Well done Cafe 34 - you’ve made our weekend!!

Menu is okay, service is friendly and efficient. Decent coffee and gateau. All’s well until ….. a huge shaggy dog came in with its owner. I like dogs but prefer to eat in more hygienic cafes. This huge dog shook itself, so its hair could settle on the low table and any food nearby. The waitress brought this dog a treat, ruffled its hair and didn’t bother to wash her hands afterwards. Ugh! I won’t be returning to Cafe 34 - there are many better cafes in the town.

The food we had, spicy parsnip soup with chunky wholemeal bread and a tuna melt panini, was really nice. The staff were very friendly especially the new member of staff who secured her job while we were eating after successfully coming through the interview she had at the next table - we were really pleased for her. The best part however is Cafe 34 is dog friendly and we met fantastic beagle called Barry.

Very poor flat white. Weird frothy top. Burnt taste to coffee. Didn’t really taste like coffee. Table not wiped for a while. Floor not swept for even longer. Food dropping, packaging under the table. Didn’t look like today’s rubbish. Dirty dog water bowl. Generally felt grubby. Pleasant barista was only positive.

We wanted a coffee and lunch whilst having a mooch around d Shrewsbury. This is a super friendly and cosy little place and highly recommended. Coffee was perfect and our food totally enjoyable - ploughman’s and the plant-based platter. Will definitely return the next time we are in Shrewsbury.

Had the best breakfast I’ve had in ages! My wife and I both had the medium full english with 2 thick cut bacon rashers, 2 meaty sausages, beans, fried tomato, mushrooms, fried egg and the most fabulous sourdough toast. It was delicious and all the ingredients were good quality, didn’t touch the little ramekin of brown sauce as the food tasted so good it didn’t need anything else! And that toast…😋 Service was lovely too, very friendly, and the decor was warm and inviting. Definitely recommend and we’ll be going back.

What a gorgeous little place! The ambience is perfect for a leisurely catch up over coffee and cake (although I had a perfectly made halloumi and avocado salad 👌). Staff are clearly great at their job. Can't wait to come back and try something off...

Lovely dog friendly cafe. Had cortado coffee and a slice of caramel cake. The coffee was really smooth and good and the cake was good too. I came here and the bus stop for the park and ride was almost directly outside. Really good

Went for the first secret diner club evening that is run by Jess who owns the fab 'not today seitan' in liar liar..what can i say?.the food was on another level. Litrally the best vegan food in Oswestry and way surpasses anything else available in a vegan cafe in Oswestry. The food was beautifully presented, the flavours were amazing and the cocktails were beautiful too. Really hope the owner decides to run these evenings on a regular basis although once word gets around i imagine getting a table will be really difficult. Its great to see a vibrant young business do so well and honestly the co trading with Liar liar is such a brilliant idea. Two amazing businesses running side by side. I cannot recommend this highly enough, the best vegan resturant/cafe in town by far

Beautiful meal last night. The steak was cooked to perfection and the seabass was beautiful. Nikki and Grace were very attentive, as always, ensuring that you have everything you need and always having time for a chat whilst serving their customers.

Honestly the best pub meal I've had in years! The steak and Guinness pie was delicious and chips better than many chippies. How they do that with bargain prices baffles me. Highly recommend

Very very disappointing...we booked for Sunday lunch..big mistake. We were not greeted on arrival, there wasn't even anyone behind the bar for us to let them know we had arrived.... But from there it went downhill....we were put on the smallest table in the furthest corner despite there being lots of much nicer empty tables available..we eventually managed to order drinks and asked to order food..The waitress mumbled something and walked off....a lovely young man delivered our drinks and said the young lady would be back.....when she returned to take our food order we asked what she had said, apparently it was they had lamb....then we tried to order but what she actually meant was they only had lamb nothing else and mostly no veg either...one of our party doesnt eat red meat so lamb wasnt an option but the waitress did nothing to try to help the problem...no offer to check if the kitchen could help.....I really could understand this situation if we were walk ins but we had booked...they knew we were coming....why would you not attempt to provide at least one other choice We drove to Bridgnorth from Shrewsbury to take some family out for a treat and thats the best they could offer....obviously we will not return.
