Delicious freshly prepared food, great service and reasonably priced. Will visit again, next time maybe for breakfast which looked delicious, lots of choices for vegetarian.

If you’re in Collier Row and want to grab a coffee, save the money you’d have spent at Costa around the corner and head to Cafe 23, a warm, hospitable and bustling cafe around the corner. It’s not just the prices; the food hits the spot, the service is welcoming and friendly, and it feels like a bit of an institution. Lovely place.

Baguettes stale. Contacted cafe explained happened a few times now. These ones are inedible. They said Uber had to deal with it. Uber don’t always. I even offered for my partner to go and collect fresh ones. They said no Uber had to deal with it and I had to reorder again. I explained Uber may not help and I don’t want to pay twice for something. They were not helpful. Baguettes are expensive. And I’ve paid for inedible food. Never again. Do not recommend, as it’s happened to many times. Worst thing is they knew they were sending out bad quality food as the chef admitted the supplier had “messed up” Not cool.

If you fancy a proper dinner this place ticks all the boxes. Good dinners, table service, attentive staff and very reasonably priced. Better food than most local restaurants and far cheaper.

Good food, good service The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food is excellent, better than most local pub restaurants and less expensive. I recommend the steak and kidney pudding with boiled potatoes and veg. A proper dinner.

I took my Dad to Cafe 23 for a late breakfast. We were served quickly, good mug of hot tea and coffee. We both ordered breakfasts but with different things. Our food was hot, plentiful and very tasty! Definitely value for money. We saw other customers eating and their dishes look good too. We will be back!

Not somewhere I would visit again. We went in for a snack and a hot drink as we were early for a funeral. The coffee and the hot chocolate was okay. Two of us had a bacon sandwich, the bacon was so overcooked it was inedible. The tuna sandwich wasnt much better, it looked and tasted very bland. It's a shame as this cafe is situated in a perfect location, but it was just the food that let it down for us.

Myself and a friend went in there yesterday for a cup of tea, my friend noticed the tea was very weak , very cheap T bag , so we asked for another teabag each , they then said we had to pay 70p per tea bag , so won't be going back there again . We worked out that a box of their 40 Teabags is £28.00 As Pensioners we were disappointed No wonder places like that are closing down .
