Interchange Cafe is a lovely new family-owned cafe right opposite the Interchange train station. They have a wide variety of menu items so it was difficult to choose because everything sounded delicious, but I ended up going for the broccoli and tomato quiche and a latte. The coffee was the cheapest one I've found so far, and it tasted great! The quiche was probably the best I've ever had! The family who works at the cafe are very friendly, welcoming, and attentive people. Highly recommend for anyone living in or coming to Bolton. I'll definitely be coming back.

I went to this cafe thinking maybe I would get somthing after hearing about it opening and it was not good. The atmosphere in the cafe is very awkward it was very quiet no music you could hear a pin drop. The lady that served us seemed nice enough but was very quiet and also seemed to be awkward. It was extremely hot inside and was making us feel ill. Got a carrot cake for my sister who said it tasted weird she is now feeling really ill from eating it. I ordered a caramel apple pie, I did think I saw somthing wrong with it but I just brushed it off as it being something normal as I haven't eaten one before, the lady comes back telling me that it had gone off and had gone bad, even though most of the slices were gone, meaning it had been served to other customers. I ordered no food after that and just paid for my sisters order and my bottle of drink as I felt sick after hearing that. Never going to be going back to this cafe again.

Walking into Bolton down NEWPORT street from the railway station, my view was initially at the new drop off point opposite Piggy Banks and the York and as I wandered down past the post office looking at the inappropriately named gateway to Bolton I spotted several yellow vested bus station staff and bus drivers entering a new cafe “interchange” my curiosity got the better of me and I went in to discover a new gem, first visit I had a cappuccino as a takeaway but on my return going back out of town I decided to forego Olympus and went back into the interchange and had a £3 meal deal, sandwich, coffee and cake, brilliant! Have been back five times now and have tried their hot meal deal for £3.50, it was great!

It was helpful service with a smile, the food arrived very quickly to the table and it was to the standard that we expect from the chain. Always enjoy the salad buffet. Plenty of onsite parking and a decent tip rounded it off.

We visited Clark’s Shopping Village today and went into Frankie & Benny’s for lunch. We had 5 adults and a 1yr old. We ordered 4 main courses and three starters to have as a main course. We were asked if we would like the starters as a main and we said yes. The starters arrived but none of the other food did. We were told they were just waiting for the chicken and the other meals would be out. We looked at the pass and could see a main meal there that was the same as one of the ones we had ordered, but we assumed that was for another table. 15mins or so passed and the main meal was still there. They then put the rest of our meals up and bought all of the meals to the table. We queried the meal that had been sat on the pass for ages. They apologised and said they would take it back. Under 2mins later they arrived with what they told us was a new meal. We queried it again and we’re assured they had done us a fresh one. The meal was for my 74 year old mum, she assured us the meal was fine, but she does not like to make a fuss so we were not sure. Mum only ate half the meal, as she was worried it was still the same meal and we have a 2 hour drive home. My hubby tried her meal and he is convinced they just gave her back the same meal, as it came out far too quickly. They reduced our bill but the looks we were getting from the staff were not good. Why did they not just bring us the meal when it was ready as we already had one meal

Awful service. We booked a table for the six of us and we were all really looking forward to the meal, as we’ve always thought that it looks like a lovely restaurant. We were waiting for over half an hour before our drink orders were taken and another 30 minutes before they appeared. We ordered two charcuterie and cheese boards as starters between us and it took over 40 minutes for these to come out. When they came out, each board only had two tiny pieces of cheese which had clearly been broken off a slab a cheese rather than cut. At £18 each these were extremely disappointing. We were then waiting another 45 minutes for our mains and when they came out our starter plates etc had not even been cleared. We had been in the restaurant for almost 4 hours by the time we left as a result of the long wait for any service. The restaurant wasn’t exactly busy and the staff were standing around most of the time. We asked to take off the service charge at the end of the meal due to the poor experience and the waitress was rude and did not apologise for the poor service. Will not be returning.

2 night stay that was faultless from start to finish. Stunning location, amazing room, warm welcome and nothing too much trouble. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, staff work so hard to ensure your stay is made special and your furry friends enjoy it too! Food superb, great service, and little added extras are charming. A little bit of relaxing luxury away from it all in a lively, friendly atmosphere and quiet peaceful location! The Talbot has it all in spadefuls!! A very special find that we shall continue to enjoy over the years!!

Was really excited to try out this restaurant. Had read the media coverage and have tremendous respect for the owners. It was busy, nice weather had brought the crowds out to the outside dining area. It seems impossible to get good service these days, when you do it is rare. Has eveyone good left the industry post covid... There were plenty of staff on the floor, but systems and training were clearly lacking, and the basic good standards sadly lacking. As soon as we walked in lack of a clear greeting was a sign of what was to come. We ended up waiting far too long for our mains to arrive. Other tables also complaining and warning us about the lack of service. The place itself is beautifully & tastefully done. The menu reads incredibly well. The food did not disappoint. I sat eating the Fish Soup, trying to recall a better soup that I had ever eaten. This, I have to say was the best, absolutely incredible. The rest of the dishes were well cooked, and good, but nothing knock out. Rarely give reviews, but the lack of service was a big issue. One guy seemed to be more senior, but he was way out of his depth. Not even a goodbye as we left despite making eye contact with the Manager and floor staff! Would not recommend until the service is sorted out.
