Cafe 104 in Redbridge

Absolutely love this cafe. I travel from Ilford to Barkingside just to come here. The staff are so welcoming. They get to know your name (makes it more personal) ask how you are. Generally interested in you. Food is amazing. Such a variety your bound to find something you'd like. Not forgetting the really thought out decor and comfy chairs. Try it, you will come back for sure

Food is okay, bog standard breakfast. Was trying to work my way round the make your own breakfast but the waitress seemed a bit impatient. A bit small and cramped. Food came at a reasonable time. Smoothies were delicious and fresh. Food was average. They also offered halal options which was great

Great quality food and friendly service. The Cafe was packed out around lunchtime, with many people ordering from a varied menu. The all day breakfast was great with many options and a very affordable price.

Met some friends here for some breakfast. It was good honest food, nothing fancy.

Clean presentable cafe. Polite service. I had the set 1 breakfast which was very nice. It tastes different to what is eaten at other standard cafes. The bread used for the toast is good quality. The only concern I have is that I wish the portion was a bit bigger, the dish that they put the beans in is only suitable for children. The beans can be added directly on the plate and maybe an extra sausage could be included.

I have been coming here for years but had not been in a long while. I had such a lovely lunch and the choice on the menu is great. I’m really happy I came back and will be coming more often.

Visited recently, waitress was really friendly and helpful in advising of halal options available from Menu. Food was freshly cooked to order and tasted delicious. Will definitely visit again in future.

Ordered the HALAL breakfast wrap. IT IS THE BEST WRAP I'VE EVER HAD. Perfect for breakfast/lunch. Most places make the breakfast wrap with fried eggs they use scrambled eggs and it's delicious. And lady on the phone was so patient and helpful

Good food, nice atmosphere (can get busy at times but it's a good café). Service is good, pricing is a bit more than a greasy spoon doing the same food but this is just nicer and classier.

Delicious Remembrance Sunday brunch. Delicious breakfast and poached eggs, and asparagus on bubble and squeak. Very unusual to have both generous portions and very good food. Oh and did I forget the wonderful coffee and amazing service. Not been in many years but will be back. Thank you

A decent halal cafe in barkingside!

My friend and I went in for brunch. The Shakshuka was delicious and the staff were very polite. We will definitely return.

Definitely worth the money I paid, staff always friendly. Today their card machine was causing problems (hence customers were told sorry cash only) but they managed to work around this to enable me (disabled customer) to pay by card instead of having to find a cash machine nearby.

Small cafe but plenty of atmosphere, good food

Friendly staff, good food with plenty choices, neatly placed in connection to the High Street, good ambience, with a few spaces to eat outside too. Always noted that it tended to be busy, which is a good sign. And always intended to visit over the years, but only finally did very recently. So good, that I had to go back a week later! Recommended!

Excellent espresso based coffees and super dessert pies, great location.

Nice cafe with a good selection of breakfast and lunch dishes also not forgetting the hot and cold beverage. Supporting the local business is essential.

Three small panakes that could fit in the size of your hand - over £10. In Sainsury's for 49p for 6, which equates to 8p each compared with £3.33. Over inflated mark-up.

Had Sunday lunch , good portions, lamb was tender,and succulent, vegetables cooked just right, Yorkshire pudding,and roast potatoes were excellent. Good service, although very busy

Poached egg on toast had strong vinegar taste. Cooked breakfast had toast missing and arrived after chasing and near end of meal. Don’t think I’d rush to come back. Service was friendly.

Lorraine is absolutely fantastic! It’s now our weekly breakfast place. All the servers really make you feel comfortable and welcome, and of course food is amazing.

Went on a Friday morning. The place was very busy with locals and the service was amazing. The waiters were extremely friendly and food is Halal. The portions are on the smaller size but it does the job.

This is my second time visit to this place. Excellent food. I like AOC-G (104 Cafe) juice excellent taste. AOC-G is Apple, Orange, Carrot with Ginger

A member of staff was very welcoming the hygiene was a star 5 and it was very clean

Nicely served dishes. A touch in the pricey side compared to other local small eateries but nonetheless good food and enjoyable.

Found this place 2 wks ago, have been twice now. Great selection of different dishes and everything is cooked just right! Can’t wait to go and try more on the menu. Lovely staff.

My favourite café in the area. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The food is great. I found other cafés around town to serve quite greasy food, but that's not the case here. Would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy breakfast or lunch in a nice, chilled environment.

I have regularly been going to cafe 104 over the last 7 years, still my favourite place for a veggie fry up.

10/10 food and service. Big respect and love to the Chef, gets it right every single time. I have been visiting this cafe since June 2022 and I am a very regular customer now. They do the finest of all day breakfast, lunch & dinner. The staff are also lovely, kind and welcoming. One of the best cafes I have visited hands down 🙏

We’ll really disappointed on my visit here recently- been going for years now and never had issue, and have always recommended to others but yesterdays food was not good at all! Chips were cold, small tomatoes were burnt, poached eggs are dry and not a bit runny, sausages were soft in middle so Not sure if cooked properly as my Mrs had to go toilet in the shops yesterday as it went right through! I had a America-no with milk but was more like a latte ! Real disappointed as I travel fro Canning Town to go hear. They just seemed rush rush yesterday with everything, I mean it was 3pm but it was an all day breakfast. Very dissatisfied very………

Beware nut allergy sufferers! Lovely cafe and service. Sadly, in spite of warning staff about our child’s nut allergy when ordering food and being assured that there were no nuts in the kitchen our child had an allergic reaction. Very scary and totally unnecessary. Not enough care was taken and once it happened other than telling us that they were wondering about calling an ambulance nothing was really said.

I had the most amazing meal with the most amazing waitress, I think her name was Lorraine. Great service, super friendly, give her a pay rise!

I came here for brunch with a friend was looking forward to the food since I had walked past a number of times. Vegetarian options are awful, they didn't even have a cheese and tomato sandwich on the menu. I ordered a halloumi wrap with sweet potato fries and my friend ordered a burger. The wrap looked cheaper than a meal deal wrap, and was full of mayo to the point of being sickly. The food tasted cheap and flavourless, it could not have cost them more than £2.50 to make what I paid £10 for. My friends burger arrived and was smaller than my palm, I thought they had accidentally given us a kids meal at first. I could not be more disappointed and will not be returning

We are from Germany and happened to be at Café 104. I can only recommend it to everyone! Very tasty breakfast and the staff very cordial. The drinks are freshly pressed.... Go there and see for yourself 😊

Great food and service as always.

The food was delicious, hot and well prepared. The bacon and sausage were well cooked and soft unlike many places that are rock hard after cooking. The scrambled egg was great not moist like so many. The breakfast was filling and well presented. I ordered via deliveroo and the food arrived hot and in a timely fashion. Great service and experience overall. Will definitely be ordering again.

Really good eggs Benedict with perfect eggs and ham. Hollandaise sauce was yummy and the cappuccino great. If I wasn’t leaving UK, I’d be back everyday.

I visited cafe 104 with a family of 6 to have breakfast. I will start with a few negatives first. There were no tables that could accommodate 6 people, also the door kept being left open so we were slightly cold as we were sat near the door. One slight critique was that the toast came out about 3-4 minutes before the breakfast, they should arrive together so all are hot. (This is the only reason 1 star was lost). Positives- -Friendly and attentive staff who took our orders very swiftly. -Staff were also able to answer questions regarding the set breakfast’s. (They knew the menu). -Food came out to us very quickly - Breakfast was hot and they were generously portioned. -Plates were cleared away quite fast after we had finished our food. I would definatley come back here again!

I just came here in advice of my local GP practice nurse as a good breakfast place . It’s amazing clean healthy nice and made my day while having breakfast. Never knew that this sort of cafes does exist locally. Giving me a feel of Welsh look. Keep it up

Amazing little breakfast (all day) cafe ! Affordable prices and really tasty! Freshly squeezed juices are a big plus. They have all your favourite breakfast classics and an option to create your own English breakfast dish. Fluffy pancakes and runny eggs. 10/10 recommend.

A very nice little cafe and we appreciate that they had halal options for us. Unfortunately due to the fathers day madness our kids didnt get to have pancakes but we will try it next time. My mrs had the spicey shakshuka and I tried some as well, it was very nice. I had the standard breakfast and loved the brown bread they served. Definitely will go again.... Perhaps on a less busy day.
